“From the beginning Ashley has been great with the booking. Benny loved staying at her house so much, this very active dog just crashed when he got home. Thank you for taking care of my fur baby. Highly recommend.”

“Paige was great! Kept us up to date about how our babies were doing and we could tell how much she cared about our dogs and making sure they were healthy and happy!”

“Yulia is truly amazing ✨. One of a kind caretaker. Your pet is in good hands! We never have to worry about our senior (14.5 y/o) doggy. 🐾 Many cute photos, and daily updates! 😊”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have a deep passion for providing safe, loving environments for pets of all kinds. As a dedicated animal lover, I’ve personally rescued and fostered animals, which has given me hands‑on experience with pets of different temperaments, needs, and backgrounds. At home, I care for my two friendly dogs, Rose and Oreo, along with our four cats, Binx, Frodo, Samwise, and our foster kitty Ying. Because of this, I’m very comfortable managing multi‑pet households and ensuring everyone feels comfortable, safe, and included. All of my pets are well‑socialized and get along, creating a calm and welcoming environment for visiting animals. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day—whether that means playtime, walks, feeding routines, or just making sure your pet feels loved and secure. My long‑term goal is to open my own animal rescue, and every pet I care for is treated like part of the family. I work full time from home. I have flexibility in my schedule to care for pets such as feeding, medicine, frequent potty breaks and walks. I have a fenced in yard, dog gates for the stairs and master bedroom to keep the dogs out of areas they should not be in. I have crates for my dogs to sleep in or to stay in when I leave the house.
“She was awesome at sending pictures and keeping us updated. Very quick to respond to texts. She was very nice and Moose seemed to love his stay and playing with her dog. I will be using Kayla in the future.”

“Brittany and her family are exceptional, loved by our family and by our pit mix, Tennason. Brittany is great in communicating, sending pictures and messages, and reaching out when there is a concern. We so appreciate knowing we can get away and that Tenny is in good hands!”

“Our dog, Zoey, had only been watched by family members until Sian watched her. Sian was excellent !!! She kept us updated with pictures and videos and communication was prompt. Zoey ate well and felt comfortable within a very short amount of time. I felt at ease and will definitely use her again!!!”

“My baby Lola enjoyed her stay with Mrs. Madelin & Cattleya (her new bff). Mrs. Madelin kept me up to date and shared pictures. This allowed me to enjoy my time away and gave me peace of mind. I already scheduled my next boarding. I totally recommend her.”

“Sadie and Daisy really seemed to enjoy their time with William! He was prompt with responses and sent photos. He also accepted our booking the day beforehand after our original plans had fallen through.”

“I can't say enough about how much we love having Teresa care for our Lola. Lola has so much fun she doesn't want to come home. Teresa is kind and loving and spoils her too much. Thank you Teresa, not having to worry makes our trips so much better.”

“Maria was great, and our dog seems like he had a good time. Maria was so accommodating and flexible when we needed to pick him up an hour late because our kid overslept. We will definitely be booking with her again next time we need a sitter!”

“Luka, who normally has separation anxiety whenever he senses that I'm leaving on a trip, pulls me towards Shannon's front door when we arrive. He clearly always has a great time, and Shannon is excellent about keeping me updated during his stays. She is highly recommended from me and Luka.”

“Lea was wonderful! We got to know each other before Kongo stayed and that made the first time even more comfortable. She kept us updated and sent pics. Will definitely ask if Kongo can stay in the future!”

“Ruth kept our 13 yr old fur baby 2-1/2 weeks and then graciously kept her an additional day so we could finish up our road trip with family. We knew our Beasley was safe and well cared for. We are grateful for her care and experience. We will use her again in the future and recommend her highly.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
