I would say a pet fit since my daily routine as I care for animals on a daily basis, my friend has a cat in her house and a visit fairly often to make sure that he’s doing good etc and overall just my experience is still there and it still fits into my routine

I have a fenced yard and I would prefer in my home but for the pets comfortability I wouldn’t mind in the client’s home. It’s truly up to you what you decide.

Information Nikaia H. would like to know about your pet
so I would definitely want to know everything and anything about your pet down to the age. The name where they were from what kind of background they come from were they from an animal shelter or they were raised since they were born in the home you know if the client has had them since they were born. I would also like to know if they have any specific feeding schedule specific diets or if they take any oral medication’s or shots for medication’s as well and I also would like to know their energy level so I can try to accommodate and see what type of schedule I can put together if it is in my home
A typical day
I love to make sure that dogs are stimulated throughout the day, ensuring that they have toys of fresh bowl of water and food as needed if they are on a schedule or if they free feed. I will also try to incorporate depending on the dogs personality some cuddles or if they prefer to be alone try to make it a comfortable space with some items that are recognizable from their home if they are in my home if it is the client’s home, I will have to slowly ease into it just because typically dogs do feel invaded of space or their home because it’s unusual for someone they don’t know to be in their home that they don’t see on a daily basis so it have to be a slow process, but it is doable within 2-3days to just ensure that the dog can get used to me depending on how long the service is for

Pet care experience
I wouldn’t say I’m different from any other sitter on here, but I would say that my experience is more applicable for what people are looking for when it comes to animals. When you book with me, you receive photos, professional photos, I would say cause I also take photography. I used to work as a pet tech so I have a lot of experience when it comes to oral administration, caring feeding schedules anything that you can think of I’ve done it cats dogs I’ve taken care of REPTILIANS although I’m not quite as experienced when it comes to reptiles I’m willing to learn My rates are negotiable so please feel free to reach out to me and we can work something out together!
Reviews
Very understanding about changes being made at last minute due to uncontrollable circumstances. This is my second time using Nakia and will continue to do so in the future. She has been great with our dog.
Nikaia was attentive, reliable, and thoughtful in every detail — from sticking to their routines to making sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We especially appreciated the updates and communication, which reassured us that they were not just being watched, but truly cared for.

I do not leave negative reviews without careful consideration, and in this case it is necessary to provide an accurate account of my experience. This sitter was not prepared to care for a large dog. Their rental housing states that only one dog or cat is ever permitted on the property, which Nikaia already has a dog, hence boarding pets is a violation in itself. And this should have been disclosed before accepting a booking for a large‑breed pet. This created an environment that was not appropriate or compliant for my dog’s stay."Pet Policy: Dogs and Cats Allowed with the following exceptions: Up to one small pet will be considered upon approval." My dog was left unattended multiple times, which led to anxiety and behaviors he has never shown before. He was rarely walked, and only after I repeatedly asked for updates and guidance. I also requested that he be given outdoor time in the yard, which did not occur. Instead, I received complaints about accidents that were directly related to the lack of exercise and supervision. It looked like he was being hidden away, which later made sense per their rental non-compliance. Communication throughout the stay was inconsistent and created unnecessary stress. Additional fees were introduced after the booking, and the tone of communication shifted in ways that made the situation increasingly uncomfortable. The overall care and environment did not match what was presented during the booking process. By the time I returned, I felt it necessary to schedule a veterinary check to ensure my dog’s well‑being. This was the most difficult boarding experience I have had on Rover. I hope this review helps Rover and future clients assess whether this sitter is an appropriate fit for their pets. My experience indicates significant gaps in readiness, communication, and basic dog care, as well as a lack of transparency regarding the property’s restrictions.

Nikaia and her brother are both well spoken and friendly. We did a meet and greet since she has a small child we thought it best to make sure she was comfortable with my dogs. Everything went well and we booked the reservation. I was having hip replacement surgery, so having someone take care of my fur babies was instrumental in my recovery. I also had a hotel room by my Mom's, so I had that to deal with too. I did request a booking change. I added Sunday as well and that's where the wheels fell off. I sent a message through Rover to let her know I was still on schedule for the 3pm drop-off time. I did not get a response until 5:30, which by then I had secured someone else to keep my dogs. This wasn't a holiday vacation, where I could be flexible with my time. I had to be at the surgery center 5:30am. I understand things come up. I even drove to her house and no one was there. Communication is key and this was not an acceptable excuse for her ghosting me. I'm thankful my dogs and my surgery both are successful and I would be careful with this dog sitter. No call no shows do not work for me!!!!!
