About: Caring for animals has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old, it's honestly just who I am! Over the years I've fostered dogs (and proudly failed). Today, my partner and I share our home with 3 cats and 5 adorable Dalmatian-mix dogs. So I'm used to caring for multiple pets and large breeds. I've also cared for medically fragile animals and currently give my own cat daily medication for his asthma, so I am completely comfortable handling pets with special medical needs. I teach at UNLV on Mondays and Wednesdays, but beyond that I work from home running my freelance medical writing business which means I'm around most of the day, most of the week. Your fur babies won't be sitting alone counting the hours, they'll have a present, attentive and loving person right there with them! When caring for pets in your home, I follow every instruction to the letter. Whether it's feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, or household rules. I am extremely detail-oriented and take my responsibilities seriously. I treat every pet as if they were one of my own beloved animals, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own environment.
About: With over a decade of experience caring for dogs and cats, I bring a deep passion and commitment to every pet I care for. Since I was 18, I have been adopting and rescuing animals, working with animal protection foundations, and dedicating my time to giving animals a safe and loving environment. What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with both rescue animals and pets of all ages, including puppies and senior animals. I understand their unique needs and have the patience and skills to ensure they feel comfortable and loved. Your pets will have plenty of space to roam and play in my spacious home, complete with a backyard and a beautiful park just steps away. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or gentle care for older pets, I provide a safe and happy experience tailored to each pet’s needs. I’m currently studying from home and I have plenty of time to take care of your pets. This will be like spa for your pet a day or days where will be like vacations to run, play and have so much love ☺️ I have a big house and yard, also a nice park to go for a walk, you can be sure your pets will be safe, feeling loved and happy to play around with their toys 🧸. Don’t worry because your pets won’t be with other pets if you choose that, I understand how important they are for you🐶
“Rachel was great with my new puppy and older dog. She's punctual and dependable. Highly recommend her. Communicates well and responds to requests quickly. Our dogs were healthy and happy after 8 days. 5 Stars !!”

“Lordyn was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! She kept me updated with messages and photos after every visit, which gave me real peace of mind knowing Aspen was happy, well cared for, and getting plenty of attention. Her communication was excellent, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about Aspen's well-being rather than just checking a box. It's never easy leaving your dog, but Lordyn made the entire process stress-free. I came home to a happy, healthy pup, and I wouldn't hesitate to book her again. I highly recommend Lordyn to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter!”

“Thankyouuu, for being so amazing and thorough in your care for our babies 🤗 coming home from a long trip, to their excited little faces was amazing. And being able to see the updates while we’re away was very reassuring 💞 please accept this $50 as a token of our appreciation and please be our regular sitter going forward!”

“Fiona is a really good pet sitter, very dedicated, helpful and sweet, my cats loved her. She did everything I needed for my cats very well and is always willing to help. I will book her again as soon as she is available.”

Junny went above and beyond accommodating my unusual schedule to best support my cat and two dogs. He gave my cat daily medication, engaged my ever energetic puppy, and doted on all three. I am grateful for his help and flexibility and for the adorable photos he shared throughout the week!

Absolutely amazing cat sitter — could not recommend Liyuan more highly! Liyuan took exceptional care of my cat, Lottie, and I truly could not have asked for a better sitter. From the very beginning, she was thoughtful, responsible, and incredibly attentive. She treated Lottie not just as a pet, but as her own baby — with genuine care, patience, and affection.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paradise. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
