“Hilda took such good care of my dogs they were so happy everytime she walked through the door. I highly recommended her to anyone looking for someone to take care of your dogs while on vacation. We had zero worries and felt 100% comfortable. It made our trip so much better to know our pups and home were in great hands.”

“Shawn was a good sitter for me and my kitten. I appreciate his flexible and his care to my kitten. I was worried due to past sitters and im glad that Shawn took good care of my baby. He was communicative with me, always keeping me informed and I could easily reach him, as needed. He was descriptive in his rover cards and that helped ease my mind on how the visit with my kitten went. I asked for him to check on my kitten’s automatic food dispenser and water fountain, along with cleaning out her litter daily.”

“I am beyond grateful having Jennifer!!! She took the best care of Milo! And not just that, she was extremely polite, professional! I am definitely thanks rover for a great service and professionalism! And of course to have Jennifer.”

“Hannah does such a great job with both our cats! She’s been great about giving meds to our older guy and playing/giving attention to kitten! She gives us peace of mind with thorough reports while traveling and our busy schedules!”

“Elena went above and beyond with drop-ins for my cat. She was an excellent communicator made sure he was well taken care of while I was away. Highly recommend her services and will book again!”

About: Hello, my name is Alexa (some friends also call me by middle name, Cecilia). I have been a dog lover and parent since I was young, and as an adult have gotten the opportunity to care for a variety of breeds and ages. I have experience with small breeds, senior dogs, and puppies/adolescent dogs in my own home as well as when friends and neighbors need some extra help. Medication regimens, playtime, training sessions, and of course some cuddle time are all in my comfort zone. Whatever accommodations you need for your pet, I am happy to provide and send photo/video updates while you're away! I currently have a part-time job in the evenings only a few days a week, and also take classes at UNLV. However, most of my schooling is online and my work schedule is very flexible as well. With that flexibility, I can be available in the Daytime and Evenings. For longer stays, extra notice will help me plan accordingly to accept the opportunity to care for your pets. Whether there's a backyard available or not, I'm happy to take your pet out and about to ensure they stretch their legs and get their sniff on. Depending on your pet's temperament and your comfort level, I can facilitate play dates or keep them company solo. Safety is important to me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own.
About: Growing up, I’ve always had a huge love for animals. I’ve been around all different kinds of pets and have always loved how every animal has their own personality, habits, and little quirks. I think that’s a big part of why I enjoy caring for animals so much. One of my favorite things about pet sitting is getting to know each pet individually. Some pets will be excited to see you right away and want all the attention, while others are more shy and need some time to feel comfortable around you. I never want to force a pet to interact with me. I’d rather be patient, earn their trust, and let them come to me when they’re ready. I’ve cared for pets with all different personalities and energy levels, and I understand that every pet needs something different. Whether they’re super playful and energetic, older and more relaxed, nervous around new people, or just have their own little routine, I’m happy to adjust my care to what works best for them. I’m also comfortable following specific feeding schedules, giving medications when needed, keeping up with walks and potty breaks, and making sure pets get plenty of attention and enrichment throughout the day. Since we’re in Vegas, I’m especially careful with the heat and make sure outdoor time is safe and appropriate depending on the weather. I really believe pets aren’t just pets they’re family. I know it can be stressful leaving your pet with someone else, so I want you to feel comfortable knowing they’re being treated with patience, love, and care while you’re away. I’ll always do my best to keep their normal routine and make them feel as comfortable as possible. If your pet has any special needs, fears, behaviors, or routines, please let me know! I’d much rather know everything beforehand so I can be prepared and give your pet the best care possible. I’d love to hear more about your pet and hopefully get the chance to meet them! Taking care of Pets honestly fits really naturally into my everyday routine because I genuinely love being around animals. I’m pretty flexible with my schedule, so I’m able to plan my day around whatever the pets I’m watching need. I don’t want them to feel like they’re just being “checked on” I want them to actually have someone around who gives them attention, plays with them, and keeps them company while their owners are gone. Depending on the pet, my day can look different. I’ll make sure they’re fed on their normal schedule, have fresh water, get their potty breaks, go on walks, play with their favorite toys, and get lots of love and attention. I’m also totally okay with just hanging out with them if that’s what they prefer. Some pets are ready to play all day, while others just want to lay next to you and be your little shadow, and honestly I love both. I also like keeping pets mentally and physically entertained, whether that’s playing fetch, practicing commands, giving them toys or enrichment activities, or just spending one-on-one time with them. I’ll always try to keep their normal routine because I know being away from their family can already be a big change for them. And because we’re in Vegas, I’m definitely careful with the heat. I’m not going to take a dog out for a long walk when it’s insanely hot outside. I’ll plan walks and potty breaks around the cooler parts of the day and spend more time indoors playing, relaxing, and keeping them company when it’s too hot. Overall, I really just want the pets I watch to feel like they have a second best friend while their family is away. I want them to be excited to see me, feel safe with me, and have a good time instead of feeling lonely or stressed. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for. I’m responsible, attentive, and always prioritize each pet’s safety, needs, and routine. I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and the same care I would give my own pets.

“It’s always such a relief knowing someone is there to look after my little buddy — even if he hides under the bed the whole time! Thank you for being there for him to make sure he had everything he needed.”

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up and was the primary caretaker. I’ve pet sat for many many family’s, as well. I primarily take care of dogs and cats, but I do know how to care for hamsters, rats, and bunnies :) I work part time as a server, so i’m able to have flexibility to have mostly any schedule you'll need. Animals have always been centered in my life! I like to keep your pet entertained and stimulated as much as I can, especially if it’s just a drop in. I will make sure they don’t get into stuff they shouldn’t since i’ll be supervising them all day.

About: I have taken care of pets my entire life and always had at least one furry friend. I currently have a senior cat who is 18 years young. My schedule is flexible and I would love to care for your pets! I love my own pets fiercely and know how important it is to have a trusted sitter while you are away. I will care for your pets in your home. I feel that they feel more comfortable in their own environment and can meet their needs there.
“Mindy was so awesome! Great communication, very easy and accommodating to sync up with and took wonderful care of our 14 year old cat, Teacup. She took amazing photos and left really thoughtful notes that really put my mind at ease, since this was our first trip away from Teacup in over two years. Overall A+++”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, from Golden Retrievers, to Lhasa Apsos, to rescue mixes, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and needs. I’ve helped train two dogs and enjoy reinforcing good habits, whether that’s basic commands, leash manners, or just keeping consistency with what you’re already working on. I’m happy to incorporate light training into walks or visits if that’s something you’d like. I’m also comfortable administering medications and paying close attention to any specific care instructions. I recently moved to the area and can’t have pets in my current apartment, so I truly love getting my dog time in by caring for others’ pets. I treat them like they’re my own! I’m a part-time student, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the day. I enjoy getting outside for walks and breaks, and I love incorporating that time with caring for dogs. I’m available for daytime walks and drop-ins, and I can usually adjust my schedule to fit your pet’s needs! I prioritize making your pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to follow your routine exactly, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk preferences, or any specific instructions you have. In your home, I’m respectful of your space and aim to keep things calm and consistent for your pet. I’m attentive to behavior, energy levels, and any signs of stress, and I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel at ease!
“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Brandon took amazing care of our dogs. He followed all our instructions perfectly and even accommodated our last-minute schedule change without any trouble. Super responsive, kind, and reliable. We came home to happy and well-cared-for fur babies. Highly recommend!”

“Brandee was a phenomenal pet caregiver professional, friendly, and incredibly dependable. Brandee arrived right on time and followed every instruction perfectly. Her patience and care with my pet instantly put me at ease. She stayed responsive throughout the entire booking, which made communication effortless. I will definitely be requesting Brandee again!”

About: Although I grew up with 2 cats and an energetic Springer Spaniel, right now, I am happily co-parenting a precious rescue terrier pup named Poppi with my best friend and roommate :). I have been around animals my whole life so I am very comfortable around all types and I can build trust with them very quickly. I promise your pets will be in caring and attentive hands! I am patient and detail oriented and just want you to be able to relax while I take care of your furry family members! I am currently training in Circus school during the middle of the day (10/11am to 5/6pm depending on the day), so I am consistently available early mornings and evenings. My roommate and I don't want to do boarding at our place with Poppi quite yet, but I am more than happy to stay the night with your pups or cats if you are comfortable with that. If not, I completely understand and I am also happy to check on them late nights & early mornings. I am available weekdays and weekends. I live in an apartment currently so no yard unfortunately, but I do live in a very walkable area and my apartment is well spacious enough for all sized dogs.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Las Vegas DownTown
RUTH WAS SIMPLY EXCELLENT!! She communicated before , during and after the visits. She kept my little monster fed while I was out of town. I contacted her on such short notice and she replied back so quickly. I am extremely satisfied. Next time I am out of town again she is my go to person.

Cannot recommend Adam enough. Friendly, professional, and a clear animal lover. We have two cats who aren’t usually friendly to new people, and I work from home so they’re not used to being in an empty house. We were surprised how quickly they warmed up to Adam during his visits, and honestly they seemed disappointed when we came back!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
