“Randi did a wonderful job caring for our Shibas. They clearly enjoyed her company and attention. She was very responsive, which gave me great peace of mind. Our Shibas have definitely gained a new sitter, and I highly recommend her!”

“Kris was phenomenal! She followed all of our instructions to a tee and really bonded with our husky. Kris also sent updates with photos every day and left our home in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is nervous about getting a pet-sitter. This was our first time using Rover, but Kris eased all of our anxieties. A+ and 5 stars!!! ⭐️ 😆”

“Elsie was fantastic and my fur babies loved having her taking care of them. She sent plenty of pictures and updates and I was completely at ease while I was away traveling. I’d highly recommend her to anyone that is needing any type of pet sitting services and I’ll definitely use her services again.”

“She was amazing and very accommodating. I needed a sitter last minute and she was able to help. She sent photos during the stay so i knew my pup was good. Would definitely book again.”

“Shando did a wonderful job. I came home to a clean house and a very happy dog. He stayed in touch with me while I was gone, sent me pictures and let me know how Crixus was doing. He is responsible and very kind. My dog has a new best friend! I should be jealous, but I'm not. I'm glad I found him !”

“Andwele has watched our home and 3 pets many times over the last year and we are so happy we found him. He’s great with the furbabies. Keeps us up to date and in touch while we are gone.”

“Robert is Amazing with our dog Lil Bit. She is elderly & takes various medications through out the day. He sees to it and cuddles with her. I’m very impressed with his caring nature.”

“Our dogs adored Aniceta! She took such great care of them and gave them lots of love while we were on a trip. She sent photos of them each time she dropped by the house, and was a lifesaver when our flight home got delayed and she was able to stop by an additional time to feed them dinner. Would definitely book her as a dog sitter again!”

“Mackenzie was the absolute best sitter for my fiancée and I. Our dog Moonie can be a bit skittish and takes some time warming up to people but she loved being around Mackenzie. She took the time to come and meet Moonie a couple times before so that Moonie could be used to being around her. Mackenzie took great care of our home and of Moonie. She was very responsive and sent plenty of photos and updates on our girl. I couldn’t recommend Mackenzie enough. She is great!!”

“Megan was terrific with my babies, who are difficult to manage, but she used her extensive knowledge to gain their trust & maintain order while we were gone She sent s daily updates & pix which put us at ease & made it possible for us to enjoy our vacation. She is a miracle worker!”

“Jill does a great job house sitting and watching our 9 year old French bulldog. Our dog Koda is getting older and has some medical needs at times, but Jill is willing to do what is needed and takes great care of him while we are away. She spends quality time with Koda and gives us daily updates on how he is doing, which we really appreciate. Jill helps make us easier to be away from home, which gives us peace of mind.”

“Faith did amazing! She was so sweet with all of my babies. I have 2 dogs (one came out of town with me), 3 cats, 2 turtles, and a gecko, so I have quite the crew! She checked on my reptiles, cuddled with my dog all day, and continuously checked in on both my kittens and my older cat. Her communication was amazing, and she sent me tons of photos and updates throughout my trip. When I got home, the house was picked up and everything and everyone looked great. She truly went above and beyond! I 100% recommend Faith and will definitely continue using her in the future!”

“Jenny was phenomenal! I was so nervous that this was my first time away from my dog for that many days at time. But her communication, cleaniness, personality and so much more helped me get through my trip while putting my anxiety of missing my fur babe at ease!”

About: I have my own dog walking/pet sitting business and have been taking care of pets all of my life. I love dogs and I love helping out in any way I can ❤️ I am available anytime I am needed, I am studying on the side for college but have plenty of time to take care of pets and help out in any way I can I walk my dogs every morning and make sure they are well loved. As I take care of other pets I treat them as I would my own and treat them with the respect they deserve.

About: I had a dachshund for 16 years from my early childhood to adulthood so I understand now important are dogs and cats are to us as they are family to us but I have been taking care of dogs for around 15 years since most of my family members have had dogs or cats all varying form 100 pound Great Danes to little dachshunds so overall I understand what it takes to take care of these family members and what to look out for I am currently in online college and work part time usually I work 4-6 hour shifts so outside of that I’m able to watch after your loving pets and make sure they are fine and having a wonderful time! I understand that trust and safety is crucial when my dachshund was running around the house we always made sure to beware of her back since they can get IVD and with any dog it’s good to understand what should and shouldn’t happen as some pets can have underlying issues we may not see

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Las Vegas DownTown
Yolanda watched our two dogs for the first time recently. She was very communicative, sent pictures and was able to administer eye drops for one of our dogs. We were a little worried about leaving them with someone new after our dog had eye surgery but Yolanda did a great job! We would definitely book with her again.

Jeter loves spending time with Jessica! She takes such great care and has amazing attention to detail. She ensured that he had a lot of enrichment, providing play, giving him his lick mat & puzzle toy, and taking him for a long walk. We look forward to booking her again!

Janelle is incredible! She is by far the most reliable person we have found to watch our kitties while away. She is so professional and kept us very up to date with long daily updates about how and what the cats were up to. She is so kind and on top of everything. We love Janelle ! Definitely asking her to cat sit again in the future.

Stephanie was absolutely incredible, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We have a multi-pet household with several cats, multiple who require daily medication, and a rabbit, so our daily needs are complicated! Stephanie handled everything flawlessly and went above and beyond in every way. She was extremely reliable, communicative, and thoughtful. She sent daily updates with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It made such a difference being able to fully relax and enjoy our trip knowing our pets were in such capable and caring hands. When we got home, the house looked amazing—all the litter boxes were clean and everything was exactly how we left it. Most importantly, our pets were happy and comfortable, and it genuinely seemed like they bonded with her while we were gone. We felt complete trust and confidence in Stephanie from start to finish. She truly exceeded our expectations, and we would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a dependable, attentive, and compassionate sitter.

Tatiana accommodated my last minute booking, so thank you for that. Reese (my cat) seemed so happy and not stressed at all after I got back, even for a week long vacation! Tatiana always kept me in the loop of when she would be spending time at my house and sent at least one picture everyday of Reese. My autofeeder had an issue and she fixed it the same day. She left my house the exact way I left it, and cleaned up after herself. Reese and I will definitely have Tatiana stay next time I leave on a trip!

Yuliya was absolutely amazing! Our 3 pups took to her immediately and loved her. One of our dogs was coming off an eye infection and she was great with keeping up his eye drops regimen. She was by far the best sitter we've had when it comes to sending us regular pics and videos! She took some of the best pics/vids of the dogs that we have. They never pose like that for us...! It was very clear that they dogs were very happy with her and had an absolute blast. She is very communicative and one of the nicest people. My husband and I also became very friendly with her, as did our neighbors. She is very considerate and left our condo clean. The dogs clearly missed her after she left. We would absolutely rebook her for every trip of ours if she's available! Very highly recommended!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Las Vegas DownTown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Las Vegas DownTown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Las Vegas DownTown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
