“Hannah was very compassionate and understanding of my anxiety about leaving my precious tiny senior chihuahua in a hotel in Vegas. She FaceTimed me Before and assured me she was in good hands. She sent me pictures throughout her stay with Coco. Took her for a walk my baby was peacefully sleeping when I got back to the hotel after the concert. I highly recommend trusting Hannah to care for your beloved pet!”

“Elsie was fantastic and my fur babies loved having her taking care of them. She sent plenty of pictures and updates and I was completely at ease while I was away traveling. I’d highly recommend her to anyone that is needing any type of pet sitting services and I’ll definitely use her services again.”

“We love Megan! She takes our boy on walks. She always leaves our house the way she found it. She sends pics and keeps us updated. She also asks questions and is often concerned about his eating or not eating and about his skin. Overall, a great dog sitter!”

“I highly recommend Jill as a pet sitter. She took exceptional care of my two Maine Coon cats while I was away and gave me complete peace of mind. She spent quality time playing with them, making sure they received plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. Jill also went above and beyond by keeping my home clean and tidy throughout her stay. It was wonderful to return to a well-maintained house and two happy, relaxed cats. One thing I especially appreciated was the regular updates and photos she sent. Seeing my cats comfortable and well cared for made being away from them much easier.”

About: Hi, I’m Brianna :) Im a registered nurse here in Las Vegas that loves dogs! I have had a love for dogs of all shapes and sizes ever since I was a little girl. I moved to Las Vegas in 2023 but back home we have a family pet Chihuahua, Chloe, who I trained and took care of since I was 13. Chloe did have her fair share of health complications so I am pretty familiar with senior care for dogs as well as following strict rules and schedules for any medicine your dog may need. I do not have any pets or children so I can ensure you i have the time and space to care for your pet. I also only take one boarding request at a time so I can promise to give your pet 1:1 attention and care! I live in an apartment complex with plenty of walking space around the community, and a park very nearby. I will be home most of the time to keep your dog company. I can provide potty breaks very frequently and give your dog all the attention or playtime they may need. Your dogs are welcome to sleep in the bed and on all furniture. I am open to board any dogs no matter size, age, or breed! I am very flexible of any accommodations your dog may need regarding sleep, eat, or play so please feel free to let me know anything your dog may prefer!
“Nina is the best! She loves on our dogs, one of which can sometimes not be loveable to others. She is loving & caring and truly makes me feel they are totally safe so we can travel. And always communicates daily along with sending pictures! ❤️”

“Dustin did a fantastic job looking after our boys! He sent daily updates with pictures and videos and the dogs looked they were enjoying his company! We will definitely be booking with him again”

“We hired Mackenzie to stay with our dog and our cat for 4 nights while we were out of town. Our dog- Collie can be somewhat anxious at times. She accommodated our request for a soft hand off and was so patient and good with both of them while we were gone. Collie warmed up to her immediately! We would recommend Mackenzie to anyone looking for over night stays or even drop ins. She was super communicative and sent so many pictures putting us at ease that our four legged babes were well taken care of while we were gone. 10/10 would definitely hire Mackenzie again.”

“Adrianna was absolutely amazing with our dogs! She sent us pictures twice a day. Took them for walks and was here often. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Took great care of our house and dogs.”

“We had Kris stay at our home last weekend and watch our pup Dilly. We were extremely impressed with her care for Dilly and thankful that she could be with her overnight. She kept in touch with me over the weekend and had a good stay. We will absolutely be happy to have Kris in our home again and trust her immensely with Dilly. It's great to be able to leave town and have zero worries about our fur baby. Thanks Kris!”

“Maya stepped into a chaotic situation with my three cats: one who wasn't feeling great and only eats tiny amounts, but snacks often, an 8-month-old kitten who isn't very regular with meals yet, and a third adult cat who hates the kitten and isn't shy about letting him know, and who only eats raw food twice daily. A real circus. Maya and her partner who also stayed handled it with poise, and everyone was fed and happy when we returned. Thanks for letting us get away for a few days! Couldn't have done it without you!”

“Olivia took such great care of our little ones and the house while we were away. Definitely booking again in the future. She took lots of pictures so we were never worried while we were gone. Thank you Olivia!!!”

“Cally was absolutely wonderful. She took excellent care of our pups while we were away. She kept us informed, she sent us a ton of photos and left a little collage of our furry friends that was absolutely precious. She’s one of a kind and we will definitely use her services again!”
“Sierra did amazing with her sitting of my two girls. She was communicative and respectful of my home. She sent photos of my girls throughout the sitting, and updated me with any needed information. I will definitely be booking with her in the future.”

“Grace was absolutely fantastic. Our flight did some last minute changes and she was super flexible and understanding. Definitely using her again!”

“Another great stay with my Sammy !! This was Poly's third stay and She has done an excellent job taking care of him. I came home and Sammy was in the bed where Poly sleeps instead of mine!!! I'd say Sammy really likes Poly. Poly will be my go to sitter when our schedules aline. Thank you Poly for taking care of my Sammy”

“Victoria is a great sitter. She is very attentive and a great communicator. And most importantly, our dogs love her and we know they are being loved and taken good care of while we are gone.”

About: I’ve had one dog personally, multiple fish, and a hamster, but specialize in senior/disabled pet care. Within my family I often take care of a service animal black lab and a special needs lab. Outside experience includes house sitting for a large dog breed home for consecutive days, a home with three Guinea pigs, a multi-cat home, and a saltwater tank. I’d love to have more experience with all varieties of pets including all dog breeds, cats, reptiles, avians, and rodents. I’m currently a full-time online college student and can offer high flexibility to fit into any homes needs including nights or simple daily drop ins. Weekend stays or overnight needs are available as well. Learning my client’s routine, or training, and staying to it for the pet’s comfort will be a top priority. I’m happy to take care of outdoors loving pets or couch potatoes.

Cally is the best cat sitter I’ve ever had! My Lucy is usually a little shy at first, but she took to Cally immediately. Cally is conscientious, attentive, and sent so many adorable photos every day, along with consistent updates throughout her stay. We felt completely at ease knowing Lucy was in the best possible care. Cally truly goes above and beyond, and we will absolutely be hiring her again!
Sam was incredible! She stayed with our dogs this past weekend and I couldn’t have asked for a more reliable, professional, caring person to stay in our home with our dogs! Sam was punctual, communicative, sent updates and pictures all weekend and really put me at ease with it being our first time using a pet sitter. I would definitely recommend Sam and already plan to book with her again in the future :)

Kay took very good care of Lily and if our home for five days. My cat Lily takes a long time to warm up to new people and this was his first time caring for her. His experience caring for cats was obvious with a different things he did to earn her trust, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. He was responsive to my inquiries and communicated daily. I would definitely hire him again!

Dawnn is the best. She takes such great care of our fur babies and our home while we’re away. We’ve worked with Dawnn on many occasions and she’s extremely reliable and trustworthy. She sticks to the schedule we have for the dogs and gives them lots of love and attention, and is very consistent with our older dog’s medication. Grateful for Dawnn’s help and glad she’s in our lives! Highly recommend!
Grace did such an amazing job taking care of our dog Ruby while we were out of town for a few days!! We were new to rover and have an anxious pup, but Grace was so good about giving us updates while we were away which gave us peace of mind while we were on vacation that our pup was happy and taken care of!

Amelia was amazing, an absolute blessing to me and my fur babies!! I was really nervous to leave my pets at home while I went on vacation, but Amelia really helped put my mind at ease. Watson and Amaris both LOVE her, and she treated my home with such respect and kindness. I got regular updates and pictures of my pets, communication was easy, fast, and consistent. I got home to well-cared for animals and a clean house, so fantastic!! I will 1000% be rebooking as soon as I have another trip planned!!!

Jessica was absolutely fantastic! This was our first time using her, and she exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Before the stay even began, she came to our home twice—once for an initial meet-and-greet and again before the sitting—to get to know our dogs, learn their routines, and make sure everyone (including us!) felt comfortable. That level of preparation immediately gave us confidence. Throughout the stay, Jessica was incredibly responsive, communicative, and thoughtful. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which made it so much easier to relax while we were away knowing Singleton and Sophie were in such good hands. When we returned home, the house was spotless and exactly as we had left it. It’s clear she treated both our home and our dogs with genuine care and respect. Most importantly, Singleton and Sophie were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Jessica is professional, dependable, kind, and truly goes above and beyond. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with both their pets and their home. Thank you, Jessica!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Whitney on Rover is $53.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 1,697 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Whitney. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whitney walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whitney maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whitney choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Whitney. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
