“Stephanie was amazing with my pups! My bigger boy can be protective and barky when he doesn’t know someone so it was important to me that whoever comes to watch them can handle that and she was amazing about it. She provided updates and photos and I was very comfortable being out of town knowing she was nearby and coming to check on my babies. Would definitely use her again in the future!”

“Megan was terrific with my babies, who are difficult to manage, but she used her extensive knowledge to gain their trust & maintain order while we were gone She sent s daily updates & pix which put us at ease & made it possible for us to enjoy our vacation. She is a miracle worker!”

“Randi was amazing. First time for her to watch our furbabies and will definitely use her again. They were happy and taken care of. Also, Randi took the time to pull the bedding off where she slept, washed it and had it ready upon our return. Super happy we found her!”

“Jill stayed with our 2 dogs and 1 cat for several days when we were out of town. She was fabulous! She sent us pictures every day and kept us updated on how they were all doing. Our fur babies loved her! All three of them were snuggling in the bed with her by the end of her stay. We will definitely book with her again if the need arises.”

“Vanessa is absolutely incredible! From the moment I met her I knew that she was the perfect person to care for our animals! She stayed the weekend with our nine animals and was sending pictures and texts the whole weekend so I didn’t worry! I will absolutely be using her again in the future!, words cannot express how wonderful she is! ❤️”

“Kris was absolutely amazing with my cat Kobi! I’m super picky about who watches him because of bad past experiences, and he’s a rescue with some trauma, so I always worry about leaving him. Kobi is also very clingy and can be a little mischievous at times, but Kris handled him with so much patience, love, and care. She met him beforehand, and he instantly gravitated toward her—I knew right then it would be a good fit. While I was away, she kept me updated with photos and messages, followed all of my (very detailed) instructions perfectly, and truly made me feel at ease. I was actually able to enjoy my trip without stressing about him, which is rare for me! I came home to a happy cat and a spotless apartment—she even made sure his litter box and food bowls were clean. Kris clearly has experience and a natural way with animals, and I feel so lucky to have found someone I can fully trust with my baby. I will definitely be booking with her again. Highly recommend! Thank you Kris!! 🥰”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine, lifelong love for animals. I truly believe pets are too good for this world and deserve endless love, patience, and attention. I don’t see them as “just pets,” but as family members who deserve to feel safe, happy, and understood. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, which has given me strong knowledge of their needs, typical behaviors, and what they should and shouldn’t eat. I’m naturally patient and kind, love taking dogs on walks and to dog parks, and focus on positively reinforcing good behavior so every pet feels confident, cared for, and loved. 🐾❤️ I am available to engage in dog care Monday- Friday, and Saturday and Sundays if told with enough time in advance. I am flexible and can work with different schedules. I am very respectful of each owners routine for their fur babies and can navigate complex instructions for their care. The pets wellbeing always comes first, and my care will focus on their safety, joy, and needs.
About: I've been a animal lover my whole life. I have worked at a veterinarians office now for 3 years doing a little of everything including helping the doctor. I lived in North Carolina for 3 years and helped the stray animals around the community. I'm currently working at a animal hospital till I can get my pet sitting going. I'm open on weekends for boarding or pet sitting, weekdays I'm home by 6:30. Someone is always home and I can take your fur babies with me to work! I have a fenced yard, with 3 little Yorkie/Chihuahua mixed dogs to keep your fur babies company. I have toys and beds in the house that they have free range of. All fur babies are allowed on furniture and are supervised at all times. I follow all rules and directions that are given to me by owners. I can't wait to meet your fur babies!
“Shando did a wonderful job. I came home to a clean house and a very happy dog. He stayed in touch with me while I was gone, sent me pictures and let me know how Crixus was doing. He is responsible and very kind. My dog has a new best friend! I should be jealous, but I'm not. I'm glad I found him !”

“Carol is amazing. My dogs were so well taken care of. I did not worry at all about them. My one dog has been difficult with eating lately and Carol was more than willing to do whatever it took to ensure she ate. I would absolutely trust her to stay with my dogs anytime.”

About: I have worked with 2 rescues in the Las Vegas area for several years, volunteering and fostering. I currently have my 33rd foster. My home has been inspected and approved by both rescues for all dogs, small to large. I primarily do medical rehabs and I am comfortable administering any medications or working with any pet who might have specific needs that require a little extra care. Having worked with so many pups without information about their background, I am able to quickly read each pup and adjust for their safety, comfort and individual personalities. My home is quiet and serene for animals that are not used to noise and they will have total access to the backyard thru the doggie door. I will keep your baby on the schedule they are used to. Not only will your baby be safe, we will have a lot of fun. I will engage them with puzzles, games of hide and seek, playtime, walks, and endless snuggles and will send pictures and videos throughout their time with me. I currently work from home so I will be able to keep a close eye on your baby. I do daily walks and we visit the dog park often. All my animals have the freedom to enjoy the entire home. I will not crate your pet unless specifically asked to. I have a doggy door for easy access and my dogs sleep in the bed with me. I do not have children and I live alone so my home is very quiet.
“Amazing sitter. My dogs loved her as well as us. Trace watched my 4dogs and kitty for the weekend at my home. I received photos and updates on them few times a day. We hope she will continue watching our pups in the near future ♡”
“I was very anxious about leaving my fat boy home while i was gone and also having somebody i didn’t know! Bri made the process so easy and made both me and Biggie so comfortable. I was able to enjoy myself without guilt because i know he was being taken care of! Thank you ladies! Def booking again ❤️”

“Anastacia is a gem that I was lucky to find. I had a trip booked and my dogs “father” decided he could not take her since he got new dogs. I was panicked and needed someone to stay with Daisy as she likes her home and being an only child. I was nervous and Anastacia came to my home for a meet and greet and I was immediately at ease. I left for 2 weeks and my Daisy and my home were very well taken care of. I got pictures and updates 2xday so I knew all along. I would not hesitate to use Anastacia again.”

“Brandon was great with my dog and 2 cats! He was prompt and communicated well. House was left clean. My dog absolutely loved him! I would definitely recommend him to anyone! I will use him again in the future.”
“Faith did amazing! She was so sweet with all of my babies. I have 2 dogs (one came out of town with me), 3 cats, 2 turtles, and a gecko, so I have quite the crew! She checked on my reptiles, cuddled with my dog all day, and continuously checked in on both my kittens and my older cat. Her communication was amazing, and she sent me tons of photos and updates throughout my trip. When I got home, the house was picked up and everything and everyone looked great. She truly went above and beyond! I 100% recommend Faith and will definitely continue using her in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Nellis Air Force Base
She is very easy to communicate with each time I have booked her. I have already booked her for future visits before she gets taken and you realize what a delight she is to sit for your pet. I would book now if you are going to use her and she will book up quickly.

Jenny was phenomenal! I was so nervous that this was my first time away from my dog for that many days at time. But her communication, cleaniness, personality and so much more helped me get through my trip while putting my anxiety of missing my fur babe at ease!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Nellis Air Force Base walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Nellis Air Force Base maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Nellis Air Force Base choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
