About: What sets me apart is my genuine, lifelong love for animals. I truly believe pets are too good for this world and deserve endless love, patience, and attention. I don’t see them as “just pets,” but as family members who deserve to feel safe, happy, and understood. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, which has given me strong knowledge of their needs, typical behaviors, and what they should and shouldn’t eat. I’m naturally patient and kind, love taking dogs on walks and to dog parks, and focus on positively reinforcing good behavior so every pet feels confident, cared for, and loved. 🐾❤️ I am available to engage in dog care Monday- Friday, and Saturday and Sundays if told with enough time in advance. I am flexible and can work with different schedules. I am very respectful of each owners routine for their fur babies and can navigate complex instructions for their care. The pets wellbeing always comes first, and my care will focus on their safety, joy, and needs.
“My pups seemed to have a great time with Dawn and her roommate Greg. They were very tired from their first day of daycare; a good thing! Dawn was quick with communication and flexible with scheduling. She was kind and welcoming, and she shows a strong passion for dogs. We’ll be back for more daycare sessions!”

“Absolutely a great sitter my boy is so happy with Shy we are happy she is able to accommodate our boy She sends great updates and pictures about our boy I would recommend Shy to any animal parent”

“My dog, Lady, goes to Heather’s house five days a week, and clearly loves it. She’s ready to jump out of the car as soon as we pull up, and looks almost sad to leave her new friends everyday.”

“First time for our dog to be dropped off at Amie’s house. While she have 2 dogs and 2 cats, she is thoughtful and accommodative to our dog’s need. She checked in with us with update and sent pics after. Our dog had a good first experience!”

About: We are a wife & husband duo. We each have about 14 years of pet experience. Our background includes hands-on experience with our own personal pets, and pet sitting, with a wide range of animals! We have cared for dogs, cats, chickens, horses, bunnies, hamsters, gerbils, birds, fish, and others I work 8-3 M-F and my wife stays at home. We love animals and it is super fun for our lab to have a friend to play with. Between the two of us, we have a lot of time to spare, allowing potty breaks as needed, feeding on schedule, and time to play during all hours. We are very friendly and calm around animals. We have a large female lab and a male domestic short hair cat that both have different energy levels, so we understand that every pet is unique. We want them to feel safe and want their parents to feel confident in their safety. We are able to comply with any dietary and medication needs. Dogs that are friendly and moderate/high energy are the best fits for boarding, as we have a large playful dog. We also have several areas in our house that cats can relax away from our large dog.

About: I’ve had an affinity for animals since I was young and have grown up with dogs of my own. I had a passion to be more involved with helping animals in my community so I began volunteering at a local animal shelter. As a volunteer, I learned a lot more about how to properly care for a variety of dog breeds and understand their temperament. This knowledge has grown as I’ve become a foster for the past few years as well. I am pretty experienced with dogs of all sizes and am open to caring for dogs with special needs. I am the type of person who believes dogs are our fur babies, and just like human babies, they need the proper care and love to thrive! I will love and treat your dogs like they’re my own because I know how important they are to you! I have a fully remote position and am at home for the majority of the day. My work load is pretty light so I have the availability to tend to your dog’s needs I have a doggy door that grants access to my backyard with a camera for extra security. Your dog will be secure in my home at all times

“Shey kindly watched my two dogs for daycare. She has a very large backyard, and her dog is cute and friendly. I would have appreciated more photos and updates throughout the day. However, Shey was quick to respond to texts. My pups had a great time at her place and would be happy to return!”

“Loan was great! Needed a last minute doggy daycare and she was very accommodating. Sent lots of updates throughout the day. An incident happened (my pup got into some human food) and Loan was willing to do what I asked to ensure my Murphy was taken care of! She kept an eye on her and gave lots of love and comfort. We will definitely use her again!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Nellis Air Force Base commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
