“Just wow!!! Sarah was amazing with Dexter. I knew he would be in good hands from my first meeting with her. And she didn’t disappoint. He was well taken care of, entertained, and she communicated great. Will have her back and recommend her to anyone who asks!!”

“If you’re lucky enough to book her, do it without hesitation. I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Joycelyn. Leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, but she made the entire experience so easy and comfortable that I was actually able to relax and enjoy my trip without constantly worrying about Luca. She stayed at my house with him, and the level of care, attention, and love she gave him seriously went above and beyond anything I expected! From the moment we connected, I could tell she wasn’t just someone who “watches dogs.” She has this calm, knowledgeable, warm energy that animals instantly trust. Luca connected with her right away, which immediately made me feel better. Dogs are the best judges of character, and it was obvious he felt safe and comfortable with her. Honestly calling her a dog sitter feels like an understatement, she’s straight up a -dog whisperer guru. What really blew me away is how much effort she puts into making sure the dogs she cares for are actually happy and mentally stimulated. Even while staying at my house with Luca, she brought enrichment toys, puzzles, treats, and activities to keep him entertained and engaged. She wasn’t just supervising him — she was actively interacting with him, playing with him, and making sure he was having a good time while I was gone. Like my dog was basically on his own little vacation too. She was also super attentive to Luca specifically. she really took the time to understand his personality, his habits, his quirks, and what makes him comfortable. That kind of care means a lot because every dog is different, and she genuinely treats them like individuals instead of just “another dog to watch.” Another thing I appreciated so much was her communication. She kept me updated and sent little updates that made me smile and reassured me that Luca was doing great. Because of her, I was actually able to fully enjoy my vacation instead of having that constant little voice in the back of my head wondering if everything was okay at home. But honestly beyond all of that, she’s just a genuine, authentic, caring human being. You can feel how much she truly loves animals. It’s not just a job for her - it’s something that clearly comes from her heart. She has this soul connection with animals that is undeniable, and it shows in the way she interacts with them. The patience, kindness, knowledge, and love she gives them is really special. When I came home, Luca was happy, relaxed, and clearly very comfortable. That says everything. Knowing he was safe, loved, and well cared for in his own home made the entire experience so much easier for me. People like her are honestly rare to find. Your dog will be safe, loved, entertained, and treated like family. I would trust her again in a heartbeat and recommend her a thousand times over!!!!! Seriously - thank you for taking such amazing care of Luca. You made this whole experience incredible, and I’m so grateful he got to spend time with someone who truly understands and loves animals the way you do. We adore you!!!!”

“I highly recommend Jill as a pet sitter. She took exceptional care of my two Maine Coon cats while I was away and gave me complete peace of mind. She spent quality time playing with them, making sure they received plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. Jill also went above and beyond by keeping my home clean and tidy throughout her stay. It was wonderful to return to a well-maintained house and two happy, relaxed cats. One thing I especially appreciated was the regular updates and photos she sent. Seeing my cats comfortable and well cared for made being away from them much easier.”

“Haley was the absolute best! From the second I met her I knew my sweet Sugar would be in good hands. I needed to find a sitter while I was on vacation and couldn’t be happier that I found Haley! She stayed at my home and gave me updates and pics. She even went out of her way to bring us and pick us up from the airport really late at night. Haley is warm, trustworthy, and kind and you can tell she really loves animals (and they love her) Will definitely be using her again in the future. Thanks a million!!!!”

“We hired Mackenzie to stay with our dog and our cat for 4 nights while we were out of town. Our dog- Collie can be somewhat anxious at times. She accommodated our request for a soft hand off and was so patient and good with both of them while we were gone. Collie warmed up to her immediately! We would recommend Mackenzie to anyone looking for over night stays or even drop ins. She was super communicative and sent so many pictures putting us at ease that our four legged babes were well taken care of while we were gone. 10/10 would definitely hire Mackenzie again.”

“Loves dogs as much I as I do. Did a great job dog sitting my 2 sweet girl pitbulls. Will definitely feel comfortable going out of town again & have Erin watch my babies.”

About: I treat all animals with compassion and patience. I love all kinds of animals. I’ve had animals in my house since I was a little kid and have always treated them like my kids. I know going out of town to be a stressful situation when you’re a pet owner and I just want to alleviate any of that anxiety(: NEW Weekly Pup-date: Starting in September, every Saturday night will be pup movie night for all boarded pups(: we will have pumpkin and rice treats on the menu (for those who can partake), lots of snuggles, and a group sleepover complete with a fort- curtesy of our kiddos! Don’t miss the puppy party and book asap (3 spaces available for each Saturday!) I have dogs myself so pet care and maintenance is a big part of my life. Between dog walks, taking them out for potty breaks, feeding them, bathing them and making their own food- being a fur mom takes up most of my day! My dogs are crate trained, and stay upstairs in our home. Any animals that I would be watching would stay downstairs unless they are friendly around other animals so they all have their own space. I would only crate them if I had to go out for short time periods. I have a fenced backyard where they can go outside to use the restroom and live in a nice community so we can go for walks or to the park across the street.

“Violet did an amazing job with our 3 girls! We would recommend her 110%. Very personal, efficient, and communicates the best! Sent lots of pics and did lots of check ins.. we are so happy to find her!!”

“Alex is amazing! We have used here several times and she takes wonderful care of our home and most importantly our pet! Alex goes above and beyond and is great with updates and pictures.”

“Elisa was amazing from start to finish. We were super nervous about what we were going to do with our three dogs for a 5 days trip. We found Elisa and from the beginning she responded quickly to our inquiries. She stayed at our house and took excellent care of our precious dogs. Two of our dogs took to her right away. Our other dog is shy around new people but Elisa patiently worked to gain her trust. Elisa sent regular twice daily status updates with pictures. We will definitely use Elisa again and would highly recommend her to friends and family.”

“Olivia was absolutely AMAZING! She was attentive, communicative and took amazing care of my dog. She sent daily updates that were detailed and showed just how much she really took the time to get to know my dog. My dog can be very wary of new people and most of the time is very timid with sitter but by the second day Olivia had worked so hard to build her trust that my dog was playing with her in the yard and was excited to see her everytime she came over. Olivia is also incredibly clean and considerate. She will be the only dog sitter I use moving forward. Don’t hesitate, BOOK HER NOW!!!”

“Maranda was fabulous with our fur baby, Clifford! He’s an easy going pit mix but can be stubborn for people who don’t understand him. Maranda was an instant hit with Cliff from the very first meeting and we know he had a great time - and was truly cared for- during their visit because we got consistent updates and pictures. We will definitely be booking Maranda again!!”

“Maya stepped into a chaotic situation with my three cats: one who wasn't feeling great and only eats tiny amounts, but snacks often, an 8-month-old kitten who isn't very regular with meals yet, and a third adult cat who hates the kitten and isn't shy about letting him know, and who only eats raw food twice daily. A real circus. Maya and her partner who also stayed handled it with poise, and everyone was fed and happy when we returned. Thanks for letting us get away for a few days! Couldn't have done it without you!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Henderson
Jocelyn was a "lifesaver". A friend switched her vacation destination and came to Vegas. I now needed someone to sit with my girl. Jocelyn figured out a wat for her to enjoy the holiday, yet take care of my girl. I was able to hang out with my friend. Thanks Joycelyn!
I needed a dog sitter last minute. Alex showed availability for the day in question. I read her bio and decided to tey her. I am so happy I did. Sierra absolutely loved her She was on time. My house was well taken care of BUT most importantly my girl was. If you are looking for a sitter, give Alex a try. I will definitely be using her again.
Kimberly recently looked after my dog while I was away on a business trip. My dog is always with me, and we have only spent one night apart since he was a puppy. Before I left, Kimberly took the time to meet him and walk him to get to know him and his behavior. She was a wonderful pet sitter and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. When I had a last-minute emergency on my way back to Las Vegas, Kimberly stayed late to help. I felt sure my dog was in good hands with her, and my dog loves her!

It’s my first time using rover and I was nervous to leave my dogs, but grace did a great job and always updated me with pictures throughout the stay! I have two big dogs who can be a lot and she handled them like a champ ! My house was very clean when I got back and I had two happy dogs!

Kat was an amazing house and pet sitter. From the beginning she was outstanding with communication. Her care and attention to detail to make sure my dog was taken care of really shined. Considering he has separation anxiety and other special needs I was nervous with this being the first time I left him behind, but Kat put any worry to rest and my dog definitely bonded with her quickly. He is more happy and relaxed than I would’ve imagined with us being back home now. She made sure to love him and care for him like her own. I look forward to using Kat for any future needs and would definitely recommend her.

Due to circumstances, my physical therapist gave me the green light to try normal activities. I need a dog sitter last minute. I contacted Erika and she agreed. She arrived early to meet Sierra. Sierra was happy to see another face other than mine. When I returned home, the house was neat, the food bowl was washed and Sierra was one sleepy dog. Yes. I will be contacting Erika again as my ortho and physical therapists allow me to begin doing more!
Kyle was amazing with our 2 cats and our 1 large breed 13 year old senior dog. He provided daily updates, walks, pictures & videos, and took meticulously care for our pets while we were away. We definitely would recommend Kyle to anyone who has pets of all sizes. We definitely look forward to booking again and can’t thank you enough sir!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Henderson on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 1,697 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Henderson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Henderson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Henderson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Henderson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
