“Hannah was very compassionate and understanding of my anxiety about leaving my precious tiny senior chihuahua in a hotel in Vegas. She FaceTimed me Before and assured me she was in good hands. She sent me pictures throughout her stay with Coco. Took her for a walk my baby was peacefully sleeping when I got back to the hotel after the concert. I highly recommend trusting Hannah to care for your beloved pet!”

“Joy was incredible with our dog Moses. Right away, it was easy to see that Joy has a big heart for dogs and Moses loved him immediately. Moses has separation anxiety but having Joy there, my wife and I felt relaxed on our night out knowing Moses was in good hands. Will definitely hire again in the future!”

“Jill took great care of our French bulldog Koda while we were out of town working. She was very attentive and caring about his quirks and special needs. We always got updates and pictures everyday so we knew how things were going and how our Koda boy was doing. You could tell in these updates that Jill was taking wonderful care of Koda and appreciating his personality. Jill also took great care of our house while we were gone. When we arrived home, everything was clean and tidy.”

About: I’ve cared for animals for my entire life. I absolutely adore taking care of all of them, and have 2 kitties of my own! I can handle anything from the most energetic of puppies to the laziest of seniors! Currently, I work part-time and am available anytime to come care for your pet! I can also drop by in early mornings to come feed, let out, and love on your fur baby. I can do drop-in visits and give your baby a buddy to hang out with for a while. Let them out, lounge around, whatever’s needed from me. I always make sure that my cats feel comfortable and well-loved. I will ensure your pups & kitties feel the same!
“Redmond was the first sitter I had stay in my home to watch my pets. He made me feel comfortable with knowing he will follow all instructions left to care for my two pets. He went above and beyond just pet sitting. He made sure he left the space he was in better than when he arrived. Thank you, Redmond. I truly appreciate the check in with photos.”

About: My experience with animals, especially dogs, started early. I grew up having many dogs and have been around them my whole life, from chihuahuas to German shepherds. I have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages. I also volunteer weekly at my local humane society, where I help with cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies. My responsibilities include walking, feeding, cleaning, socializing animals, and monitoring their health and behavior. Animals are a huge part of my life, and I always treat them with the same love, patience, and care I give my own pets. As a college student, I have a very open and flexible schedule. I occasionally babysit and dog-sit for families in my area, but my time is mostly free and I’m able to adjust my availability as needed. I’m happy to help during weekdays, weekends, and even holidays if needed. I'm dependable, punctual, and always willing to work around your schedule to make sure your pets get the best care possible. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I always prioritize the animal’s comfort, safety, and routine. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain their pet’s usual schedule—this includes feeding times, walk routines, playtime, medication, and any specific care needs. I make sure the pet feels calm and secure by giving them plenty of attention, love, and positive interaction. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I create a safe and pet-friendly environment where they have space to play, rest, and feel at ease. I introduce them slowly to my own pets if needed and make sure everyone is supervised and comfortable. I always keep things clean, organized, and stress-free so that every pet feels like part of the family while they’re with me. No matter the setting, I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect—just like I do with my own.
“Andwele watched my pup and took the best care of him. He feed and played with my pup and made sure he was ok. I felt confident having my puppy in his care. I would definitely reach out to him again if I ever need a sitter”

“Jorie has been my go to babysitter without fail every single time I travel, which is quite frequently. I don’t trust a lot of people with Vicki but she loves Jorie (likely more than she loves me). She’s always a text away and super responsive. Since moving to Chicago, she’s been an enormous source of support.”

“Megan was terrific with my babies, who are difficult to manage, but she used her extensive knowledge to gain their trust & maintain order while we were gone She sent s daily updates & pix which put us at ease & made it possible for us to enjoy our vacation. She is a miracle worker!”

“Olivia took excellent care of my dog, my cat, and my sister's dog as well! She stayed in my home for a three day, two night petsitting request, and she took great care of my house & belongings as well. Olivia is very pleasant to be around, and the animals loved her. She'll provide plenty of cuddle time as well as play time, and she follows detailed instructions without issue. I'd certainly hire her again. Thank you!”

“Nina is wonderful, although I would love to gate keep her for myself 😂 I must be honest and say how amazing she is! She is very flexible and She communicates well!! She kept me updated and sent pictures of my baby and I came home to a sparkling clean house with fresh sheets on the bed and a happy dog. I highly recommend her and she really is a blessing to us dog parents!! Thanks Nina!”

About: I have worked with animals for going on 8 years and it has been my passion. From starting as a volunteer to working shelter and specialty centers. I have experience in treating animals with many different systemic diseases such as, diabetes, epilepsy, thyroid, liver/kidney, heart, etc. As a veterinary nurse I have seen and treated just about everything you can think of. Your pet will be in the excellent care of a professional nurse and animal lover. I have even helped a puppy successfully birth at home safely with their owner. Even helping care for the mother and puppies post partum. From young to senior I have cared for them all and love them all, especially the precious senior babies. I have a very wide availability as I am in between jobs at the moment. When my availability changes I will update as soon as possible. I am available weekdays and weekends. If you need something last minute that is completely fine as long as I have no other pets to care for. I am a very reliable, transparent, with strong integrity and accountability. I will always work towards fixing any issues that arise. I will always bring any issues to your attention, or ask the owner for clarification to ensure we maintain the best possible communication. I will follow all instructions in the home and respect the place and keep it clean or clean it for you if requested, for an additional charge. I can clean additional parts in the home if requested but will not be entering other rooms for any reason unless instructed. I am extremely respectful of your time and space and fur babies. Your home and pets will be treated as my own.
“Mandi came to my house for a Meet & Greet and then came to sit with my fur baby the following day. She sent updates and photos throughout her visit and each time, I felt confident that Luna was being loved on and cared for. The pictures were adorable and snuggly which made me super happy. Having someone who understands a dog with separation anxiety is important to me - she even brought a weighted blanket to place on Luna if she got fussy! I highly recommend Mandi and I'm looking forward to contacting her again! Thanks, Mandi!”

“Nadine was a miracle in our lives and we can’t thank her enough! My husband and I planned what is possibly the last cruise of our lives - he being 94 and me 86! We have 2 rescued pets, an Alaskan Husky and a MaltePoo - both 10 yrs old. Our Husky, Tex, has diabetes and requires insulin injections twice a day on schedule & Biscuit who has separation anxiety issues seemed to not panic about our leaving. Nadine was the perfect in house pet sitter for our 2 week absence! She had the experience and background to handle both of our pups care! But, most of all, Tex and Biscuit immediately responded to her loving care. If, by chance, we could still be able to take an extended trip again, we would certainly contact Nadine! I’m sure that Tex & Biscuit would wag their tails in thanks!💕 GJ & Joe”

“Natalie did an amazing job. I have used a couple dog sitters from Rover and have to say she is the best. I’m very particular about who watches my 3 English Bulldogs. They can be quite high maintenance. She made me very comfortable with periodic check ins with photos of my fur babies. I would highly recommend her and can’t wait to use her services again.”
“Shando is a repeat house sitter for my pup and he is fantastic. He communicates well during the house sitting and tidies up before he leaves. My pup is fairly low maintenance and Shando adjusts to his schedule, which for this visit included lots of laying around outside. I appreciate Shando’s attentiveness to my pup.”

“Sierra did amazing with her sitting of my two girls. She was communicative and respectful of my home. She sent photos of my girls throughout the sitting, and updated me with any needed information. I will definitely be booking with her in the future.”

At the beginning of the year I stopped working to focus on family! Im currently waiting on a very exciting job opportunity, so my schedule is pretty open! Available most days all day long. I am very specific to the owners request whether it's cleaning up, getting exercise, or monitoring their behavior! I'm very attentive and am focused on the safety and well being of your pet.

Victoria was great! She was very attentive and a great communicator. She sent lots of pictures of the dogs and updates on how they were doing, which really put me at ease. I will definitely book her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a 5-star dog sitter!

Mariana was fantastic! We were in a time crunch and wanted to do a meet & greet asap. She came the same night. After the meet & greet my husband Will & I felt very comfortable leaving town & trusting her with our babies & house. She is great with communication & following directions. We came back to happy pups & a clean house. Thank you Mariana! Can’t wait to book with you again.

We’re so glad we found Jorie! She was responsive and set up a meet and greet for us. Our pup Madden felt comfortable right away. Thank you Jorie!

FAQs for House Sitting - Paradise
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Paradise on Rover is $42.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,669 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Paradise. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Paradise walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Paradise maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paradise choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Paradise. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
