About: Caring for animals has been a part of my life since I was 10 years old, it's honestly just who I am! Over the years I've fostered dogs (and proudly failed). Today, my partner and I share our home with 3 cats and 5 adorable Dalmatian-mix dogs. So I'm used to caring for multiple pets and large breeds. I've also cared for medically fragile animals and currently give my own cat daily medication for his asthma, so I am completely comfortable handling pets with special medical needs. I teach at UNLV on Mondays and Wednesdays, but beyond that I work from home running my freelance medical writing business which means I'm around most of the day, most of the week. Your fur babies won't be sitting alone counting the hours, they'll have a present, attentive and loving person right there with them! When caring for pets in your home, I follow every instruction to the letter. Whether it's feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, or household rules. I am extremely detail-oriented and take my responsibilities seriously. About: I grew up with all sorts of pets, especially dogs and cats, and have become extremely fond of them! I grew up primarily around dogs, but I currently have a cat of my own! I have done plenty of stays to pet sit for friends and family, and am looking to expand my work! I have worked with big dogs and small dogs, as well as cats of all temperments, and am happy to follow any rules that you set! My goal is to provide the level of care asked of me, whether that is a short potty break for puppies, or a longer walk for dogs with more energy! I have a remote job Monday-Friday, which fully allows me to provide overnight care or drop ins throughout the day! I do have a cat of my own, so I am not able to offer boarding at the moment, and would prefer to keep housesitting requests under 5 days, but can make arrangements for him to go to my boyfriends house if needed. I take extra care to leave every home the way I find it (if not cleaner) and would ensure that all messes are cleaned up in a timely manner and communicated! I put a lot of emphasis on respecting other peoples home and pets, and would make sure to provide the best care that I can!

Jorie was an easy choice as a sitter for Carlos and Walt. She came over twice before our vacation to meet the cats and become familiar with their routines.
