“Ashlyn was amazing ! She took very good care of our older kitty that is very needy. She sent pictures and was very respectful of our home. I highly recommend her. I will for sure be using her in the future. Thank you Ashlyn. We appreciate everything!”

“Madi is fabulous!! We used her as a house sitter and to watch over our 3 small dogs and she did a wonderful job. The house was left in exceptionally clean condition and from the daily photos she sent us, we know the dogs loved her. Highly recommend her and for sure, she is on the top of our list for future services.”

“I will use Jill again for sure. She treats my dog as her own and my dog loves Jill. She sent daily updates and pictures which I appreciate. And she takes care of my house and cleans up after herself. Jill is absolutely fantastic!”

“Olivia took excellent care of my dog, my cat, and my sister's dog as well! She stayed in my home for a three day, two night petsitting request, and she took great care of my house & belongings as well. Olivia is very pleasant to be around, and the animals loved her. She'll provide plenty of cuddle time as well as play time, and she follows detailed instructions without issue. I'd certainly hire her again. Thank you!”

“We had an amazing experience with Haley! She stayed at our home to watch our dog and cat, and she went above and beyond. Her communication was excellent the entire time—we always felt updated and completely at ease. We came home to happy pets and a spotless house. We’d absolutely book with her again!”

“So happy with Isabella! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. My dog has never been separated from me and when I came home I swear he was disappointed it was me and not her haha. He is happy, healthy and was very well looked out for. Can’t wait to be a repeat client!”
About: My experience with animals, especially dogs, started early. I grew up having many dogs and have been around them my whole life, from chihuahuas to German shepherds. I have cared for dogs of all sizes and ages. I also volunteer weekly at my local humane society, where I help with cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies. My responsibilities include walking, feeding, cleaning, socializing animals, and monitoring their health and behavior. Animals are a huge part of my life, and I always treat them with the same love, patience, and care I give my own pets. As a college student, I have a very open and flexible schedule. I occasionally babysit and dog-sit for families in my area, but my time is mostly free and I’m able to adjust my availability as needed. I’m happy to help during weekdays, weekends, and even holidays if needed. I'm dependable, punctual, and always willing to work around your schedule to make sure your pets get the best care possible. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I always prioritize the animal’s comfort, safety, and routine. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain their pet’s usual schedule—this includes feeding times, walk routines, playtime, medication, and any specific care needs. I make sure the pet feels calm and secure by giving them plenty of attention, love, and positive interaction. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I create a safe and pet-friendly environment where they have space to play, rest, and feel at ease. I introduce them slowly to my own pets if needed and make sure everyone is supervised and comfortable. I always keep things clean, organized, and stress-free so that every pet feels like part of the family while they’re with me. No matter the setting, I treat every animal with patience, kindness, and respect—just like I do with my own.
“I really appreciate Christina, she's great with my dog and treats her like her own and provides updates throughout the stay. She picks up after herself and leaves the house clean.”
“Alex took great care of our cat and house with both drop in visits and house sitting. She sent us amazing pictures and got a lot of cuddle time in with our cat. She also helped out with various other tasks to keep things running smoothly around our house.”

About: I’ve had a range of animals from birds, fish, reptiles, dogs, rodents, you name it. My mom was also a dog breeder growing up so I’ve raised and trained many puppies. I served an LDS mission in Australia so I’ve seen it all and am not afraid. I’m currently studying at BYU Hawaii and will be home for the summer starting July. I will return back to school in the middle of August. I may do a few trips in the summer but none are for sure yet. As of right now I’m willing to work everyday! Animals to me deserve to be treated like humans. They bring me so much joy and I know how to read an animals body language very well. Whatever your pet needs I will do my best to go above and beyond

About: Im new too Rover, but I have around 2 years of experience caring for dogs while being in college through helping friends and family! During that time I’ve helped feeding, walking, playtime, and sometimes overnight care if they were going on vacation. I’m patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel confident that their dogs are being cared for with intention and love. 😊 I’m currently free for the summer so I have very flexible availability until my classes start up again in August! I would prefer to walk in the mornings due to Vegas heat being too hot for little paws but I am open to whatever is needed About once or twice a week I help take care of my grandparents dog on various days when they need me they are retired so every couple of months they go on cruises and I am usually the one who stays at their house to care for their dog

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life! My family always had dogs growing up. I have experience in training and am comfortable around all sizes/breeds. However, I have not had a lot of experience training and taking care of young puppies, for we always adopted from the shelter at 1 or 2 years old. But, I loo always love following directions and learning new things! I also have experience taking care of and training reactive dogs and am very patient and calm! I work part-time on the weekends Friday-Sunday. During the week, I have summer school currently, 2-5 hours a day depending on my lab days. Other than that, I have social engagements that I can schedule/reschedule for any time given notice. I am very good at following directions and capable of doing most activities with your pets! I can cuddle up or play, whichever your pet enjoys!
About: I’ve been dog sitting for friends for 5+ years since my business allows me to work from home. I love being outside so friends and owners appreciate knowing their pups will get some exercise and enjoy themselves! I’m an Online Fitness Coach for business professionals/entrepreneurs. I work remotely so I have open time to care for your dogs. I’m very into fitness and staying active so I’ll bring them on my outdoor adventures (walks, runs, hikes etc)! I live in an apartment with a balcony so your dogs will always be in view. My complex has a dog park with other normal parks walking distance. I can crate your dogs as long as it’s provided and they are trained. I stay local every day so always have time to check on dogs even if I step out. If I’m getting outside for exercise, they’re definitely coming with me!
“Nina is wonderful, although I would love to gate keep her for myself 😂 I must be honest and say how amazing she is! She is very flexible and She communicates well!! She kept me updated and sent pictures of my baby and I came home to a sparkling clean house with fresh sheets on the bed and a happy dog. I highly recommend her and she really is a blessing to us dog parents!! Thanks Nina!”

“Jessica did an amazing job! She went above and beyond to make sure our dogs were taken care of. She sent multiple updates a day and made sure if anything was wrong with our puppies no matter how small she let us know. Thanks again!”

“Poly is always great with our pup. It makes us feel at ease to see our dog get so excited to see her. We know our pup is in good hands and she leaves the house in better condition than we left it.”

“Olivia was absolutely AMAZING! She was attentive, communicative and took amazing care of my dog. She sent daily updates that were detailed and showed just how much she really took the time to get to know my dog. My dog can be very wary of new people and most of the time is very timid with sitter but by the second day Olivia had worked so hard to build her trust that my dog was playing with her in the yard and was excited to see her everytime she came over. Olivia is also incredibly clean and considerate. She will be the only dog sitter I use moving forward. Don’t hesitate, BOOK HER NOW!!!”

About: I have owned pets since I was 7. I have been dog watching for five years now, some people from Rover, and others through friends and family! I also had a job at a doggy daycare and boarding where I gained training in animal CPR, fed dogs, played with them, administered medicine, and gave them baths. I am currently am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's student going to an all online school. I am also currently completing my internship and go to a counseling clinic on Tuesdays and Fridays. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday-Sunday I am free to take care of your fur babies when needed. Anything your pet requires to feel comfortable in your home I can provide for them. If they have a set schedule for when they need to go to the bathroom or when they prefer their walks, I can help them stick to that schedule to feel as comfortable as possible. If they have specific diets and feedings they follow, I can prepare their food just the way they like it!
“Cody was fantastic! He kept in constant contact and let about any issues. My pups were really well taken care of. I would highly recommend using Cody to watch your dogs.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Boulder City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Boulder City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Boulder City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
