About: I have owned and cared for dogs for the past 20+ years. I have 3 years of experience walking dogs at the humane society which has helped me work with a range of temperaments and needs. I send regular updates and photos while caring for your furry friends I currently work from home full time and can take the dogs out for bathroom breaks and walks as needed. If there are other specific needs, I can work with you as well. At this time, I only do housesitting and dog walking/check-ins. You’ll often find us walking around QA and green lake if we’re not at a local park. *dogs must be leash trained
About: Fear Free Certified Professional. I was born and raised in San Diego in a military family, honesty and commitment has always been engraved in me. I've always been an animal lover and have persued my my passion with animals by working in a Veterinary hospital and working to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. I have rescued and rehabilitated many different breeds of dogs and am comfortable with all sizes from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. When I have boarding animals they must be up to date on vaccines as I take most of them to work with me. Otherwise pets will always have someone with them. I treat all pets as if they were my own. I have birds (parrots), so as long as they don't try and knock cages over there shouldn't be an issue. I can offer pick up and drop off and can bathe your baby as well! I go for daily walks, hikes or trips to the dog park depending on what the dog and owners preferred. Sometimes my boarders go to work with me unless they prefer to stay home. They are in a fully fenced yard and never allowed off leash. They are never left unattended outside. Our dogs enjoy having house guests to hang out with.
About: I’ve taken care of senior dogs before and young dogs. My neighbors would rely on me for walks and medication for when they travel. The occasional check in and stay overs at coworkers place when they have to leave for an extended time without their little babies. I am currently remote working so my schedule varies but I am home all day and have breaks for the occasional play times alone with walks. I live in a spacious place with a yard. As for cats I’m okay with since I have plenty of cat care for them. For house visits/stays I would like to see the place and get introduced to the pet so that the owners are comfortable and able to let me know of any needs for their pets!
“When my dog Chloe met Karen, she literally just melted into her. Karen is so kind and gentle. Dogs sense the walkers energy and Karen was perfect! Karen was a natural. Genuinely loves animals and very soft spoken with Chloe. I knew she was in great hands. And a perfect fit. Thank you Karen. I know my baby girl is in good hands.”

“Hana is amazing! I have been extremely scatterbrained and she’s been very understanding and worked with me when I messed up our walking schedule. She is a true dog whisperer and I trust her with our (sometimes very angry) 13 year old husky. She is very patient with him (and me) and has been a real lifesaver for dog walking on our busy 15 hour days!”

About: hi, I’m Mara! i’ve been caring for animals for over a decade in many hands-on roles — grooming salons, rescues, medical clinics, professional dog walking, horse barns, & most recently, as an adoption counselor at the San Diego Humane Society. I’ve truly seen (& loved) it all! i have a rescue dog, Indie, who’s taught me so much on behavior & emotional cues. learning to read her body language — stress signals, boundaries, etc. — completely reshaped how I approach animal care. i’m Fear Free Certified & very intentional about moving at each pet’s pace. i work full-time but have two remote days a week & flexibility for walks, drop-ins, overnights, weekends, & holidays. i’ll follow your pet’s routine closely & always send updates & photos. pet care is something I genuinely love & intentionally make space for in my routine. my full time job is office/admin work, so being able to have a fun “job” in addition allows me to still have access to my passion— animals! safety & trust always come first. i follow each pet’s routine exactly as outlined — from feeding & medication schedules to walk routes & house rules. i take time to get to know every pet’s personality & comfort level so they feel secure and understood in my care.
“Tyler has been a God send! I’ve been working two jobs back to back and husband has been deployed so it’s been very helpful having Tyler help me take care of my pups on my long work days. He goes above and beyond to help me out by feeding them, filling their water bottle and taking out the trash. Will definitely recommend Tyler!”

About: I have hands-on experience working with dogs in both shelter and daycare environments. I volunteered for 1.5 years at a humane society, where I walked dogs, cleaned kennels, and prepared food and enrichment. I also worked in a high-volume dog daycare and boarding facility, managing playgroups of 50+ dogs while monitoring behavior and ensuring safe interactions. I am experienced in reading dog body language, preventing conflicts, and recognizing signs of stress or illness. What sets me apart is my ability to provide structured, attentive care for dogs of all temperaments, including shy, reactive, and high-energy dogs. My priority is always safety, trust, and a positive experience for every pet. I am currently a full-time student with a flexible schedule, which allows me to offer consistent availability throughout the week. I also work part-time in a dog daycare environment, where I continue to build and maintain my hands-on experience with dog behavior and handling. I am generally available for bookings on most days and can accommodate visits up until 6 PM. I dedicate Sundays to family time and caring for my own pets, so I am unavailable on that day. I am always open to communicating with clients to coordinate schedules and find times that work best. I prioritize creating a safe, clean, and low-stress environment for every pet in my care. In my own home, I maintain a consistent routine for my pets that includes regular walks, enrichment activities, a healthy diet, and always providing clean water and a comfortable space. At this time, I do not offer boarding in my home, as I want to ensure my own pets remain comfortable and stress-free. Instead, I focus on providing care in the client’s home, where pets can stay in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routine. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions provided and pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs. I prioritize clear and consistent communication, providing updates and reaching out if I notice any changes in behavior or health. My goal is to make each pet feel safe, comfortable, and respected, never forcing interactions and always adjusting to their individual temperament.
About: I’ve always been around dogs growing up. I treat them as if they are my best friends whether it’s going on a walk, playing, or just keeping them company in the same room as we do our own thing. I like to talk with them even though I know they can’t respond in the same way, and I know when to give them space or when to engage with them. I currently am enrolled in a m-th full-time teaching credential at SDSU. Since I have Fridays and the weekend off, I am looking to make some sort of income since I am not being payed with this program. I always check in with the pets to see how they are doing physically and emotionally. I give them lots of love and make sure they have the things they need such as food, water, a place to use the restroom, and toys!
About: I’ve been a dog person since I can remember. I grew up with German Shepherds most of my life. In more recent years I’ve taken care of various size dogs, mostly from family and friends. l’m friendly with animals, I would argue to say I’m a dog whisperer. Like Allstate, your pup will be in good hands. I will gladly send you videos and picture updates of your furry companion! I‘m also happy to play with them using their favorite toy(s) and don’t mind giving good belly rubs and head massages. A little TLC goes a long way.🐶 I work in biotech, so I have the flexibility to work from home and remotely. This allows me to give plenty of attention to your pup. I’m available to provide various services most days of the week/weekend with enough notice. I live alone in an apartment. I have hardwood floors throughout, with an area rug in the living room, and plenty of space for your dog to roam about. I have easy access to dog parks. I have a small patio and can crate your pet if required at times otherwise, my home is their home!
About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was young and currently have a 4-year-old Samoyed. I’m experienced with energetic breeds, daily exercise, and giving dogs loving attention. I’m available during the week and weekends for walks or drop-ins. Flexible scheduling means your dog gets reliable care, exercise, and attention whenever you need it. In your home, I follow your dog’s routine to keep them comfortable and happy. Walks, playtime, meals, and cuddles are always provided with care and attention.
About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember, from dogs of my own to caring for friends and family pets over the years! I am new to the Rover community, however I am constantly around animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am comfortable around all dogs and am willing to adapt and learn how to best care for your animal. When it comes to taking care of, playing with, and walking your dogs, I will dedicate my time to loving them. I would love to be able to take them to the dog park where they can also interact with other animals while you're away! I have a family dog who is a Shih Tzu mix - always so full of energy and chaos! I am currently working part time elsewhere but I’m available for drop ins or house sittings when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When in your home, I would love to take your fur babies for walks, to dog parks, anything you already do with them to make them the most comfortable! I’m currently working part time as a personal assistant which means that my schedule is pretty flexible! My fridays-mondays are typically free and I can absolutely carve out time in the evenings for your needs! I am very comfortable with safe guarding pets. I have had to handle fairly large dogs in the past and know how to gently avoid trouble if needed, as well as maintaining a safe and friendly environment.
“Angela did a perfect job with walking Maya, our beagle, whenever she was available. You can trust her to do a great job if you can book her services depending on her availability. Thx”

“I can't say enough good things about my dog walker! She has been an absolute lifesaver. Always showing up with a positive attitude, she’s proactive, reliable, and genuinely caring. My pup is definitely a handful—she’s dog reactive and not the easiest to manage—but that’s never been an issue. She handles her with so much patience, skill, and understanding. I especially appreciate the photo updates and messages after walks—it gives me so much peace of mind during the day. It’s clear she really gets dogs and loves what she does. I’m so grateful for her help and feel lucky to have found someone so trustworthy and kind. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up in a home with multiple dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. I genuinely love spending time with dogs—playing, walking, training, and making sure they feel safe and happy. I’ve fostered dogs, trained puppies and adult dogs, and have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with anxiety or special needs and understand the patience and consistency they require. My top priority is always making sure every dog in my care feels loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾 I’m currently working part-time and in school only taking a few classes, so I still have lots of free time to play with and care for your pups! I have experience fostering dogs in my home, and making sure they were safe and had lots of time to exercise, play, and rest. I will make sure the pups are safe, supervised, and where they are supposed to be.
About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was 10 years old, growing up with both a dog and a cat. Over the years, I’ve helped care for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors, including feeding, walking, and maintaining their daily routines. I currently have a 7-year-old tuxedo cat named Rollie, whom I adopted from a shelter in 2020. She is naturally shy and sensitive, so caring for her has taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to build trust with animals at their own pace—especially cats who may be anxious or reserved. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs and can support: • Feeding schedules and special diets • Litter box cleaning and hygiene • Walks and exercise • Playtime and enrichment • Basic medication administration (if needed) • Monitoring behavior and overall well-being I treat every pet like my own and always aim to create a calm, safe, and loving environment while you’re away. I work full-time during the weekdays, so I’m available for evening drop-in visits after work (typically after 5:30 PM). These visits are perfect for feeding, litter box cleaning, walks, and spending quality time with your pet. On weekends, I have much more flexibility and am available for both drop-in visits and house sitting at your home. This allows me to provide more consistent care, longer visits, and companionship for your pet while you’re away. I’m reliable, communicative, and always make sure to stick to your pet’s routine as closely as possible. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I primarily provide care in your home, where your pet feels most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I always follow care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and any specific preferences your pet may have. I’m very attentive to behavior and will quickly notice if anything seems off. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust is, and I will treat your home and your pet with the utmost respect and care.
Miramar dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tyler was incredible with our active, anxious pup, Penny! He was so patient with her and even helped with leash training along the way. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos. He was quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and even added an extra day when we extended our trip. Total peace of mind and such a great experience… we’d absolutely book with him again!

Gabi is absolutely wonderful caring for our pets. She walks our dog, Baby J, and also keeps an eye on our two cats, and we always feel completely at ease knowing they are in her care. Baby J clearly adores her, and it’s obvious that Gabi genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. She is dependable, communicative, and attentive to the little details that matter. It’s such a relief to have someone we trust who takes such excellent care of our pets. I highly recommend Gabi to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter or dog walker.

I’m so grateful for Hazel! My dog has terrible anxiety and was unwilling to get out of the crate. She did everything she could to make him feel comfortable, was willing to come back to work with both of us to build trust, and has been immensely patient and communicative.
Aliyah was great! Showed up right on time, was in constant communication leading up to the dog walks to make sure everything would run smoothly. Took great care of our dogs and took them for a walk and to the dog park while we were out for the day. She sent us great pics of our dogs from the walk and kept us well informed of what was going on. I would highly recommend Aliyah to anyone looking for a reliable dog walker and/or dog sitter for their pet.

I’m pretty sure my dog likes Garland more than she likes me! From the moment he arrived, he had an instant and genuine connection with her. He was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive, and he guided her through the walk with ease and confidence. It’s clear he truly understands dogs and loves what he does. I would absolutely hire Garland again—he’s a fantastic dog walker and someone you can trust with your furry family member.

William is truly the best dog sitter I’ve ever had! He was always on time for every walk, super caring with my dog, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He even left a pack of baby wipes for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. My dog absolutely loved him — you can tell he genuinely loves animals and takes his job seriously. I highly recommend William to anyone looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and kind dog sitter!

Daisy has been taking my Husky on beautiful outings while I was out of town She is absolutely perfect Fantastic communication , does exactly what is expected and goes beyond , Damon absolutely loves her I highly recommend Daisy to anyone who wants peace of mind while away and know that our furry babies are well cared for.🥰
