About: Welcome To the Barbells Barkyard, where we have something for everyone! Whether your dog is crazy energetic or laid back and wants to snooooze, we are for you! we play often in the backyard but my 9 yr old also created a little oasis in his room for the dogs who prefer less space. we always make sure their comfort comes first! We have cared for animals our entire lives and have always known wanted to work with animals in some capacity so when we discovered rover, this became the perfect path for both my wife and i! We are both AVID animal lovers and treat each furbaby like family! we are both home full time and will seldomly leave them alone/if at all. We both know CPR and basic first aid for animals. A typical day will include lots of play time both inside and outside, enrichment activities (such as a ball pit, sniff spots, etc), water play time (if they feel so inclined :) ). we also provide treats- all 1 ingredient, healthy options so we do not upset their tummies, lots of bed options, allow them on the couches if you are okay with that, and all the toys they can dream of. we clean and sanitize the entire house daily and we ask for each client to be on flea meds to prevent any unwanted friends :) Our primary goal is to help the people of our community be able to have BOTH great loving top dollar care that you are confident in AND is affordable. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and make sure to send lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay. I offer walks, drop-ins, and in-home care. I follow routines closely and keep owners updated with messages, pictures, and notes throughout the stay. Whether your pet wants snuggles on the couch or adventures outdoors, I’m happy to make their time enjoyable. In my home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable and part of the family. I follow their normal feeding and potty routines, provide regular walks/playtime, and make sure they have safe spaces to rest. I offer lots of supervision and affection, and I send photo updates throughout the day. Pets are treated with patience and respect, and their comfort always comes first. I’m happy to accommodate crates, specific schedules, and any special needs so they feel at home.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for most my life. I've had up to three dogs of my own at a time. Had to say goodbye to two of them last year. I have a one year sweet pup named Lucy that has been great around all dogs big and small. I work full time from home so I am more than happy to have your dog for the day while you're at work, or for the night if you're away. I can stop in to let your dog out throughout the day if needed. I do have 2 cats in the house so would need dogs that are cat friendly or ignore them. Look forward to meeting your pup! I do have a full time job, but I do work from home so I do have a very flexible schedule so I am available to take care of your pet during the week. I am free pretty much all day on Saturdays and Sunday I am very respectful of your home and belongings. I truly do love animals and I can assure you I will treat your pet(s) and spoil them just as I do my own

We are here to provide a cherished home away from home for your beloved dog(s)! We have extensive backgrounds in animal training, wildlife welfare, and simply creating a loving environment for all animals. We will provide daily updates and photos; you can rest peacefully knowing your pet is safe and comfortable in our home. We are available 7 days a week to house your pet. If we have to step out of our home for any reason, the dogs under our care will have access to a beautiful spacious outdoor area, as well as indoor safety. If you prefer your dog(s) and our dog to be separated while unsupervised, we can happily accommodate this as well. Along with having a large wrap-around yard to play in, we will also take your pet on several daily walks, and even outdoor adventures if preferred! If your pet is staying in our home, we want not only you, but also you pet to feel safe and comfortable as well! And because of this, we only house one household at a time in our home. We have a sizable fenced in yard, and a friendly dog to keep your pet company. We can crate your dog if requested, we can leave them indoors, outdoors, or with access to both depending on your preference. About: I've always had a deep love for animals, growing up surrounded by them, which gave me a strong foundation in animal care from a young age. I currently have two dogs of my own, and I understand the importance of providing them with attention, love and proper care. My workday ends at 3:30pm, so I have plenty of time to devote to your pup, whether it's playtime, walks or simply keeping them company. I understand that every pet has unique needs, so I am happy to adjust my schedule to ensure they get the attention and care they deserve. Whether it's a midday check-in or evening cuddles, I am committed to providing the best experience for your furry friend. I have private access to Dusty Rhodes park, which has an huge field & an enclosed dog park - one for small dogs & one for big dogs. I also live close to Ocean Beach dog beach if your pup prefers the water! I have two furry friends to keep your dog company. I can easily crate your dog if needed as well. In my house, dogs are allowed on the couch and bed! If I am watching your furry friend in their house I will abide by all house rules.

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life, so I am very comfortable with pets of all ages! I am happy to take care of any of their needs, from administering oral medications to giving lots of love and attention. I am a doctoral student at San Diego State University. I am currently on clinical rotations, so my schedule is open on Sunday-Tuesday for all-day care or in the evenings on Wednesday-Saturday. I cannot care for animals in my own home since I live with other roommates. If you have a smaller animal, like a cat, it may be able to be negotiated.

About: I’ve cared for both dogs and cats and I’m patient with seniors and shy pets. I can follow detailed routines, including medication reminders, slow walks, and gentle handling. I’m very careful about doors/leashes, keep things clean, and I’ll send regular photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m currently working part time so I have a lot of time to spend and take care of pets. It makes my life more enjoyable Safety and trust come first for me. I follow your pet’s routine closely, keep doors and gates secure, and use leash control on every walk. I keep feeding/litter areas clean, avoid unsafe foods, and send photo updates so you always know your pet is safe and comfortable.

About: I've owned dogs since childhood, mainly labs and retrievers (+60 lbs). I also have experience walking/sitting for smaller dogs including pugs and doodles. New to the Rover app but I've been around dogs for years, very comfortable with all shapes, sizes and ages! I'm currently employed full-time and am available for walks Friday afternoons and weekends. My own dog gets two walks a day (morning/evening) for a minimum of 30 minutes per walk; I can be flexible with your pet's physical needs in terms of walk length, speed, etc. My lab gets a lot of attention throughout the day. She gets 2 walks a day around my residential neighborhood. I have a large backyard that she has access to 24/7 through her dog door. My home is also well stocked in dog toys and treats, so she stays plenty entertained (and fed!).

About: I've had a variety of pets since I was little. I understand animals' body language and am well-adverse to many unique pet personalities and behaviors. I have experience working with reactive dogs, hyper-activity, Deaf and blind animals (my dog is Deaf and knows sign language!), medication and illness with pets, and more. I'm also understanding of different needs or specific routines to be followed for pets to feel comfortable. Whether your pup needs a walk and the bearded dragon needs to be fed, or the cat needs a clean litter box and the fish tank needs a skim, I'm here for you and all your fur (or scale) babies! My schedule is flexible currently. I recently moved back home to San Diego and have plenty of availability. I do have two large dogs of my own as well as a cat and will need to take care of them as well if house-sitting. I am aware of animals' body language and their need for routine. I will respect this and their specific needs (hand-signals, cue words, walking preferences, etc.). I can co-exist from a distance or offer lots of snuggles and playtime depending on your pets preferences. I can provide baths and maintain training if you're working on house training or pulling while walking.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was about 9 years old. Growing up I had lots of fun taking care of my furry family and local neighbors dogs as well big or small from pit bulls to huskies and small furry friends I was always the go to person if your dog needed some love and to let out all the energy. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to take care of your furry family throughout the week and weekends. The week I’m Available between 11-1pm and anytime after 4pm I’m up as early as 4am for those dogs who love to do runs in the morning with me. I have a fenced yard for your furry family and if needed I can crate your dog, if they are indoor I will be sure they are nice and comfortable with whatever they need so they can be happy while you’re away.

About: I have a dog of my own. I treat them as if they are my kids. My dog is fed twice a day and given treats for tricks. I am home 4 days a week. The other days I work 12 hour shifts My dog is getting older: she is almost 12. I have fostered puppies all the way to senior dogs, and even the seniors tried to keep up with mine during play time. Pets are allowed on my furniture, so no issues here if they do. I'm used to administering meds to pups as my dog that passed away required daily medication. I have a large fenced in yard, with plenty of room to run and play. If you have any questions you would like answered, just let me know. I work full time as a nurse so I work 12 hour shifts. I usually won’t book on days I’m working as some dogs aren’t used to that schedule. If yours are, message me and we can work something out. My dogs are dog friendly, but getting older so they don’t want to play too much. I have a fenced in back yard. If your dog is kenneled during the day I have an extra kennel. Dog are allowed on furniture.
