About: I have an anxious dog and a feisty cat so I’m not stranger to quirky animals. I’ve been pet sitting since I was a kid and I’m open for drop ins or overnights. I work full time, but I’m available for weekend overnights and can do drop ins through the week. I don’t work mornings so I’m especially available then. About: Hi! I'm Jonathan, a San Diego local. I've owned dogs for more than 20 years. The first dog that was all my own was Parker, a corgi-beagle mix. I got him at 8 weeks old and cared for him until he passed at age 9. He loved spending time at dog beaches, dog-friendly restaurants, and breweries. Prior to Parker I had Alley, a rescued mini poodle mix. I cared for her into her adult and senior years, until she reached about 19 years old. My years with Parker and Alley taught me that every dog has their own pace, but they all appreciate structure. They also taught me the importance of paying attention and getting to know each dog. Dogs can't tell you when something's off, so small changes in appetite and behavior matter. I like to be playful and goofy with dogs (I talk to them like people), but I also know it's my job to make sure they feel safe and know what to expect. I will follow your established routine and rules, and can also help reinforce good behaviors. What you and your fur baby can expect: - Reliability. My schedule is flexible and mostly open on weekdays, so I can do midday walks, last-minute drop-ins, and stays of any length, including single nights. If plans change, I tell you right away. - Clear communication. You'll get a photo and a quick note after every visit so you always know how your dog is doing. - Walks that are more than a potty break. I like getting outside and exploring new routes and spots, and I keep control of the walk so it stays safe. - Experience beyond walks. I've cared for dogs overnight, including week-long stays. I'm comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, and every age in between. I'd love to do a meet-and-greet with you and your dog, so we can get comfortable before the first visit. Send me a message with your dog's name, age, and any quirks, and we can set it up! My schedule is flexible and mostly open on weekdays, so I can do midday walks and last-minute drop-ins. I can also spend a full day with your dog, at your home or out on adventures, whatever you approve and your dog would enjoy. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for most my life. I've had up to three dogs of my own at a time. Had to say goodbye to two of them last year. I have a one year sweet pup named Lucy that has been great around all dogs big and small. I work full time from home so I am more than happy to have your dog for the day while you're at work, or for the night if you're away. I can stop in to let your dog out throughout the day if needed. I do have 2 cats in the house so would need dogs that are cat friendly or ignore them. Look forward to meeting your pup! I do have a full time job, but I do work from home so I do have a very flexible schedule so I am available to take care of your pet during the week. I am free pretty much all day on Saturdays and Sunday I am very respectful of your home and belongings. About: I’ve been a dog & cat dad and been an uncle to many more over the years. I have lived with pets all my life. Most recently, 2 years with a Shih Tzu, Sola, and have cared for her throughout our time together. I have watched over my friend’s pets for weeks on end and enjoy the time we spend together. I love seeing the bond between people and their furry friends! I have helped raised a surprise litter of puppies, trained them, and helped them find good homes! We still keep in contact with their new loving families! I am currently working from home on a part time schedule, so my schedule is pretty open and flexible. I can accommodate to most schedules and carry my work with me. Sola has two small homes she uses as her safety zone. A crate is for when she is feeling stressed and a fuzzy home for when she wants privacy. We have an understanding to not cross her boundaries and when she enters those spaces, we give her the privacy she requests. Understanding animals boundaries is important to me, for my safety, their wellbeing, and to maintain trust, especially if I’m a stranger to them.

About: I’ve owned a female Rottweiler since I was 10 years old and I was responsible for training her, I taught her all the basic tricks and even taught her how to give me a fist pump. She was very tame and loved socializing with other dogs. After I moved out for college, I tended to my older sister’s two dogs, one medium sized and the other extra large. I would play fetch with them every time I visited and did some dog sitting for them as well. My mom recently got a small toy poodle which I love to play with whenever they come to visit. My experience with pet care is very diverse. I work well with all kinds of dogs and understand that they must be respected just as they respect us. Dog care specifically is important as walking or dog-sitting is important for the individual dog’s health. I love dogs! Love the fun that comes with taking care of them. Appreciate the work they put you through to take care of them :) I am currently in a gap between graduating college and getting onboarded for my new full time job and am looking to fill that time as well as get some cash flow. My schedule is primarily during the weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 11 am until 3 pm. My preferred care is dog-walking and the way I ensure safety and trust is by ensuring I can control the dog in order to keep them safe from any danger, ensuring the route I walk them is safe. I also emphasize accommodating the owners wishes when dog walking as they know their dog better and it’ll help not only the dog, but ease the owner and I as well.

About: Welcome To the Barbells Barkyard, where we have something for everyone! Whether your dog is crazy energetic or laid back and wants to snooooze, we are for you! we play often in the backyard but my 9 yr old also created a little oasis in his room for the dogs who prefer less space. we always make sure their comfort comes first! We have cared for animals our entire lives and have always known wanted to work with animals in some capacity so when we discovered rover, this became the perfect path for both my wife and i! We are both AVID animal lovers and treat each furbaby like family! we are both home full time and will seldomly leave them alone/if at all. We both know CPR and basic first aid for animals. A typical day will include lots of play time both inside and outside, enrichment activities (such as a ball pit, sniff spots, etc), water play time (if they feel so inclined :) ). we also provide treats- all 1 ingredient, healthy options so we do not upset their tummies, lots of bed options, allow them on the couches if you are okay with that, and all the toys they can dream of. we clean and sanitize the entire house daily and we ask for each client to be on flea meds to prevent any unwanted friends :) Our primary goal is to help the people of our community be able to have BOTH great loving top dollar care that you are confident in AND is affordable. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and make sure to send lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay. I offer walks, drop-ins, and in-home care. I follow routines closely and keep owners updated with messages, pictures, and notes throughout the stay. Whether your pet wants snuggles on the couch or adventures outdoors, I’m happy to make their time enjoyable. In my home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable and part of the family. I follow their normal feeding and potty routines, provide regular walks/playtime, and make sure they have safe spaces to rest. I offer lots of supervision and affection, and I send photo updates throughout the day. Pets are treated with patience and respect, and their comfort always comes first. I’m happy to accommodate crates, specific schedules, and any special needs so they feel at home.

About: I’m a proud dog mom to a golden retriever (she’s currently in Ukraine but I am going to reunion with her), so I know firsthand how important it is to have someone you can fully trust with your pet. Even though I didn’t grow up with animals, caring for my golden taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and giving unconditional love. I have experience with daily routines, long walks, playtime, and keeping a dog happy and healthy. I’m also attentive to different needs—whether it’s giving puppies the extra training, or making senior pets feel safe and comfortable. I’ll treat your furry friend with the same care and attention I give my own. Caring for pets gives me energy and joy, so I’m happy to adjust my schedule around their needs—whether that’s daily visits, long walks, or weekend care. I have just arrived from Ukraine in USA. So I am flexible I currently don’t offer care in my own home, since I’m staying with friends who have a dog that prefers not to share her space. Instead, I focus on caring for pets in their own home, where they feel most safe and comfortable. When I’m in a client’s home, I follow their pet’s routine closely—feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you leave. I keep the environment clean, give lots of love and attention, and send regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I am new to Rover but not new to taking care of pets. I have a 2 year old dog who is my whole world. He is super friendly and LOVES being around other dogs. We go for long walks every day and want your pup to join us! I am the go-to pet sitter for all of my friend's pets so I figured to make it official and sign up for Rover. I have a backyard with grass so it easy to have dogs at my place. I had a cat for 12 years who was diabetic so I know a lot about care for cats and the best ways to give them love. I am available full-time to take care of your pets. I can check in on them or walk them whenever is best for your schedule. I love going for walks and play fetch with doggies. I have a fenced backyard with grass for them to play and can pick them up and drop them off to make it easier on you if you are traveling.

About: I've been around animals for many years and have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable and safe. I'm happy to follow feeding schedules, administer basic medications if instructed, go on walks, play with energetic pets, or simply provide companionship. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety, happiness, and well-being. I’m currently working part-time so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I have very flexible schedule as well so if I’m needed, I can always stop by in addition to the already scheduled times. I try to be around as much as I can. For walks, I usually walk them earlier in the morning before it gets too hot for them.
