“Lilly was fantastic with our husky Rico. She arrived on time, inquired about care and behavior specifics, walked the full duration, provided updates, and followed our directions. We appreciated her support so we could attend other personal needs during the walk. We came back to a happy husky.”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my entire life, including dogs of all sizes. I am experienced in giving medications, walking, feeding, and taking out for potty breaks and doing so in a loving and patient manner. As an animal lover I also like to give back to the animal community and have done so by volunteering at the animal shelter where I have learned so much. I am a former Registered Nurse so I have plenty of experience administering shots and I am currently looking into vet tech schools to pursue a new exciting career working closely with animals of all kinds. I am excited to meet you and your furry friends. I currently have 2 cats and 3 grand pups. That’s right. All 3 of my children have adorable dogs and I help care for them every week. I enjoy walking them, feeding them and playing with them. I would have a dog of my own too, but I live in a tiny apartment and my 2 cats, Simba and Floyd are my best friends. I have worked as a dog walker in the past for a company in Carlsbad where I gained valuable experience. I will provide exceptional care for your pets in your home. I will feed, water, walk and play and take them out for potty breaks. I can administer medication as well. I am patient and caring with a background in nursing. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members.
“Anna was an excellent communicator and walked my dogs 3x/week while I was out of town. Both of my dogs really enjoyed their walks and I would not hesitate to work with Anna again!”

About: I have owned and cared for both dogs and cats, have been around animals all my life, and would love to care for all types of pets! I have a lot of flexibility these days (post-grad life), so I’m willing and able to handle nearly all pet-care needs! *note on availability: I also work part time, and am not able to create an hourly availability in the rover app. Here is when I’m unavailable the following 2 weeks. Any other days not mentioned here, I am available all day!: Tue 6/9: 9-1pm Wed 6/10: 7-4pm Thur 6/11: 8-5pm Sat 6/13: 8-5pm Mon 6/15: 7-4pm Tue 6/16: 7-4pm Wed 6/17: 9-6pm I’m currently enjoying the post-grad school life, and have a lot of free time and flexibility to care for your animals. I also have a car, so am very mobile! I am more than happy to care for your pets in their home, and will ensure that they feel comfortable and maintain what they are used to/their routines.
About: I believe that a happy dog in the home is essential and a precursor to a happy life overall, and I strive to bring the same attentiveness and care that I share with my own pup to any pets I have the privilege of taking care of through my services on Rover. When we meet the basic needs of our precious companions throughout the day, we have more freedom to bond with them, and them with us, and that’s where I come in! I want to help you meet your home pet care needs and goals so you can feel confident that when you come home after a busy day, you are coming home to a dog or a cat that is happy and well taken care of. I want to ensure that your pet’s routines stay intact, that they get plenty of exercise when needed, that they stay safe, and it is a joy to me to provide that service! I work from home, and my day is already built around caring for a dog. Morning walk first thing, breakfast, play, a walk around 5:30 for dinner, evening walk before bed, with attention and rest woven in between. I follow instructions exactly, keep your pet's routine intact, send photo updates, and treat your home and your dog's space the way I'd want someone to treat mine. On walks, I match the pace to the dog, calm dogs get a relaxed walk, energetic ones we stay moving, and I stay attentive to reactivity triggers and adjust accordingly.
About: I have taken care of pets for a very long time since I was about 12 years old. I guess you can say it runs in the family to love pets so whenever our family or friends needed a sitter, we had open arms! I went off to college and continued pet sitting and now my journey continues. I am currently working full time, remote so my hours are very flexible. I can always make time for my little furry friends! Schedule is flexible! I am very outdoorsy and full of adventure. I always make sure to walk the dogs while also being prepared with anything they might need. I’m also very careful and make sure all furry friends are in a safe environment.

About: I’ve basically grown up in a zoo! My family has always had animals around— multiple dogs, birds, turtles, fish, a cat, and at one point even 13 guinea pigs. Because of that, I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals and am very comfortable around pets with different personalities and needs. Dogs have always been my favorite. When I was a kid, my sisters and I even started our own little “doggy daycare” for neighborhood dogs, which was honestly one of the highlights of my childhood. Today, my family has three dogs, and I love spending time with them whenever I’m home. Since I’m now living in San Diego and my family is in Los Angeles, I don’t get to see them as often as I’d like. Rover gives me the chance to spend time with dogs, help pet owners in the community, and do something I genuinely enjoy. I understand how much pets mean to their families, and I’ll treat your dog with the same care and attention I would give my own family pets. Just graduated from USD, so I have lots of availability and free time to be with your pup pretty much every hour of the day! I live in an apartment with no pets, but plenty of pet friendly furniture! I would frequently take the dogs out on neighborhoods walks, out to the park, or even the beach depending on the dog and owner preferences! I also live less than a block away from the Humane Society, in case of an emergency!

About: With more than five years of experience pet-sitting, I have taken care of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I pride myself on being an attentive, present, and caring sitter. I love animals more than anything. My first dog was rescued the day after I was born and ever since then animals have been an important and meaningful part of my everyday life. I will care for your pet like they’re my own, and always assure they’re at their best. I really look forward to meeting you! I am currently working part-time four days a week and go to online college full-time at Washington State University. My schedule is flexible, and I can usually try and adjust my availability to suit your needs. It is my top priority to respect you and your pet’s boundaries and requests. They are part of the family and that is very important to me. I am very familiar with the many parks and dog-friendly spaces in the area. I love to get out and explore with them, or just stay in and do our own thing! I want them happy as can be.
“Yasmine did great with Olive! This was my first time using Rover as an owner and Olive’s first interaction with someone outside her family. Yasmine was patient and understanding with Olive when she was unsure and barking at her, I am very grateful for her patience. I am also happy to book her for future walks!”

“Tina is awesome! She sent lots of pics and made sure our Pep was happy, safe and fed while we were away. A week away from your dog can be stressful but Tina always kept us updated and did a great job. Thank you Tina!”

About: I've been around dogs for most of my life and grew up in a home with dogs as part of the family (My mom had 8 dogs at the same time at one point). While I don't currently have a dog of my own, I've spent years helping friends and family care for their pets, whether that's walking them, checking in on them, or providing company while their owners are away. What sets me apart is that I genuinely love spending time with animals. I'm active, patient, and attentive, and I enjoy adapting to each dog's personality and needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I'm happy to provide the care that makes them feel comfortable and loved. I also have a special appreciation for large breeds! One of my favorite dogs was a Saint Bernard named Profesor, and he taught me that big dogs are often the gentlest souls! That said, I adore dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and personalities. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, happy, and cared for while giving you peace of mind. Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I'm very active and love being outdoors, so dog walks are something I genuinely enjoy. I've always been the friend and family member people call when they need help with their pets, and spending time with dogs is one of the highlights of my week. Since I don't currently have a dog of my own, I love being able to give my time, attention, and energy to other people's furry family members. I'm a very responsible, caring, and attentive person. I understand that every pet has different needs and personalities, and I take the time to make them feel comfortable and safe. Whether I'm visiting your home or taking your dog for a walk, I'll follow your instructions closely, provide lots of love and attention, and make sure your pet is happy, exercised, and well cared for. I also don't mind dogs riding in my car if transportation is needed for walks or adventures.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats in my house for as long as I can remember! I’ve helped train puppies and foster kittens that require a high level of care. I have previous experience pet sitting for multiple animals at once and I love getting to know new animals! I grew up with an English cream retriever and a Portuguese water dog who love to be outside. I’d love to take care of your pets 🐶🐾 I’m currently a graduate student who has class for 3 hours twice a week. I’m available mornings, afternoons, and evenings for pet care. I will create a safe and loving environment for your pets but being attentive and caring. I’m familiar with the area to walk pets in safe neighborhoods.
About: I've had dogs since I was young and have trained all of them personally. I have a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in marine science (focusing on animal behavior). I have experience dog sitting for various breeds and sizes. I'm passionate about giving dogs the best life they can have, with lots of love and positive reinforcement. I love being outside, so I will give your pet plenty of time outside to stretch their legs and get some fresh air! My soul-dog Kano passed in December so I have extra love to give to other animals now. I work mostly remotely and may have to leave for a few hours at a time once in a while, but I can generally give your pet a lot of time and attention with flexible hours. I will make sure to strictly follow any house rules and existing training goals while in the home. Safety and consistency are always a priority.
About: Veteran who is an avid rescuer of both cats and dogs. I have been rehabilitating rescued dogs for 12 years and I have had a cat my entire life. I currently volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society as part of their dog team. I specialize in dealing with timid dogs (My own dogs have been from a rescue with behavioral waivers) and helping dogs learn basic obedience procedures (sit, stay, heal, law down) while walking. My passion is helping animals feel safe. On week days, I am available after 5pm and I am available all weekend. I enjoy giving dogs the amount of exercise and stimulation needed to help alleviate stress, loneliness and anxiety. Furthermore, I am more than qualified to clean litter boxes, feed your animals and provide a safe and reliable person within your home. Now that I have returned to office full time, I am not longer unavailable for mid day walks, but I do still welcome the opportunity to walk/feed your pets in my non work hours. I have experience taking care of your animals in your home where there is minimal interruption in their daily routine, no matter how many special instructions need to be followed.
Old Town dog parents share their Rover experiences
Viktorija was the sweetest caregiver I could ask for. Taco was pretty stressed about having a dog walker and she was able to gradually coax him into a comfortable loving place where he trusted her. For a chihuahua to warm up to someone in 4 days is a credit to her gentleness and patience.

Darya was so sensitive and loving with Taco. He was having a tough week with Daddy being away, and she was able to sweetly coax him on his walks each day. This was a great relief to my stress about working late while my husband was out of town. I will certainly be asking for her help in the future.

Mackenzie took amazing care of our sweet Abby! She was professional and responsive. Prior to the weekend, she came over to meet our pup. She also offered to feed her in addition to the walks. Thank you Mackenzie for allowing us to enjoy our time away knowing Abby was in good hands!

Tom was INCREDIBLE with my 2 dogs. He walked them every weekday for 5 weeks straight. He was communicative, punctual, caring, and my dogs always came back well exercised and happy. I highly recommend Tom to anyone who needs dog care in San Diego. He’s the best.

Tina has been an excellent walker for my older dog, Charlotte. I am chronically ill and housebound right now. I have my dog walked 3x a day. Sometimes walkers can’t cover their walks or cancel last minute. Tina has subbed in for almost all of the walks I’ve offered her outright. She has shown up for every last minute walk for which I needed coverage. My dog is a special needs dog, and Tina has been very good at following my requests on how my dog’s walk needs to be limited or otherwise. I would definitely recommend her!
