“Was my first time using this app and Andrea was great. My baby girl Jazzie enjoyed her time and loved the photos of my dog as they were on there walk. Definitely booking Andrea again!!!”

“Look no further if you are downtown! Jarrod has been walking Lady and he goes above and beyond! I am so happy my neighbor referred him, he has been so amazing with my pup :)”

About: Howdy Rover! Growing up, my family always had cats, cats for days, mom did not have the bandwidth for dog shenanigans. But I have been passionate about canine's from my earliest memories. I have been dogsitting and walking my grandparents dog as well as neighborhood dogs since I was 12. MY first dog, raised from 3 months, is the big handsome purebred German Shepherd seen in my profile photo. Koda was adopted from a breeder in 2020. He's very friendly and well trained. My roommate has another Gshep adopted from a shelter, and an Aussie Shep, so I'm used to VERY high energy and demanding dogs. That said, our home can't accommodate anymore furry friends, so I'm only available for housesitting and visits. Looking forward to meeting your furbabies! At this time my availability is completely open. I happily make this my full-time job if possible. I've been out of formal work for a year due to a slump in the job market. I will do my utmost to ensure your pets are safe, happy, and healthy. I'll evaluate potential hazards in the home before you leave, ensure all special instructions are understood and followed, and give you and your pet the best experience possible. I'll give them the same care and attention I would give to my own.
About: I am Bradley and I have taken care of dogs for the past 10 years. My own dog is almost 9 years old, 20 pounds, and is very friendly. I dog sit pretty often and love have extra furry friends stay with us. We have close access to grass for potty breaks and Balboa Park is only a few blocks away. We love to get outside and walk the neighborhood. I work from home, so I have lots of time to make sure any dogs staying with me has plenty of time to get outside and play. I typically am outside with my dog 4x a day. My own home has plenty of space to roam around. My dog is very friendly but typically keeps to herself even when other dogs are around. I am always available to help your dog for any particular need they might have.
“Armando was a life saver! I needed a last min walk because I got so busy with work and my pup was being a distraction. He was so kind and Presley came back very tired (yay)! I’ll book him again for sure”

“Petunia was simply wonderful, able to accommodate me last minute on a holiday weekend and very communicative and caring about my dog. She is what Sonoma dog parents need!!! ??”

“Melissa- was wonderful. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog know that Melissa was going to walk her and check up on her. I will definitely be using Melissa again!”

“Jayms was a reliable, caring and energetic walker for our 3 year old Pitbull mix, Meadow. She always provides pictures and updates, and it is clear how much she truly loved our pup like she was her own. Jayms was even able to help us out in a pinch a couple of times for last minute coverage. We're sad that she's moving out of the Boston area!!”

I’ve been lucky to gain experience at places like the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, the Avian Research Facility, Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center, and a few others. All of that has helped shape the way I care for every animal, with patience, compassion, and attention to detail. Whether you’re booking a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, I’ll treat your pet like my own keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’m here to make the experience easy and stress-free for both of you. I am willing to do early morning drop ins and afternoons as well. I will do my best to fit your fur baby in to my schedule. I am fear free and Recover ALS/BLS certified which is the gold standard in veterinary medicine. I am more than happy to walk your pets multiple times a day, take them for potty breaks, do some playtime, feed them and do extra care for example if they have prescribed meds they need. About: I have grown up with dogs all of my life and have experience with all ages from puppies to senior dogs and even special needs dogs. Before my current rescue dog Sadie girl, I had Ava. I adopted Ava as a puppy and she was healthy according to the vet but it turned out she had a neurological degenerative disease. With Ava I had experience in assisting with mobility issues, supported her with eating, drinking, and administering necessary medications. Now that I have Sadie who is a high energy large breed dog I have a lot of experience going on hikes and runs in local neighborhoods, visiting parks, and dog beaches. I am currently working part time and have plenty of time available for morning, afternoon, or evening walks depending on the day. I have a very flexible schedule and I am always ready for playtime, walks, and/or runs with your precious pup. I have a private fenced in courtyard with space to run around in or lay out in the sun with a strip of turf for potty time. I never leave my dogs unsupervised and we always practice safe leash habits by staying on leash until we’re in a safe designated off leash dog area. Special rules and needs will be respected with the utmost care, your fur baby is safe with me!
About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and have three years of professional experience working at a dog daycare facility. In that role, I’ve been trained in pack walks, structured solo walks, enrichment activities, and a wide range of services related to daycare and overnight care. I’m committed to creating a safe, positive environment for both dogs and their owners. I’ve also been trained by professional dog trainers and earned in-house certifications in areas such as managing aggressive behavior, separation anxiety, canine behavior, and basic dog health and symptom recognition. Additionally, I have experience managing large groups of 10 or more dogs of varying sizes and breeds. I work with dogs every day and bring my own two, Lucky and Lainie, with me to work. While my schedule is consistent throughout the week, I’m able to offer some flexibility and I'm currently most available on Sundays and Mondays. At this time, I’m unable to host clients’ pets in my home or stay at their home. I hope to offer this options in the future and appreciate your understanding.
About: I currently have the privilege of having two senior dogs that have been in my care for 13 years. I am aware of the patience, love and commitment it takes, having and caring for a pet that solely relies on you. I am comfortable administering medications and dealing with food modifications. I have also helped foster in the past. I am home during the day, with light serving shift 3 times a week at night. Long or short walks are available, as well as playtime, boarding and overnight care. My home is your pets home! I love my neighborhood. While I do not have direct access to a back yard, I am super close to multiple dog parks and live in a very walkable neighborhood.
About: Hi! I’m Yana a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet caregiver based in San Diego. I’ve been around animals my whole life and have had dogs since childhood. As an adult, I cared for two small dogs a Chihuahua and a Dachshund who lived long, happy lives and eventually passed away due to old age. Currently, I share my home with my orange cat, Cooper, and my Boxer, Sheila. Living with different personalities and energy levels every day has taught me how to adapt to each pet’s unique needs from playful and active to calm and affectionate. Animals have always been an important part of my family, and I treat every pet I care for with the same patience, attention, and love. Animals have always naturally trusted me, and I genuinely enjoy understanding each pet’s personality, routines, and comfort needs. I treat every pet like they’re my own whether that means playtime and long walks for energetic pups or slow, calm companionship for shy or anxious ones. My goal is simple: your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Little Italy
Michael is a rockstar of doggie care. He has been with my Husky / Malamute Veda on multiple occasions now, and every time he has been a pleasure to work with. I always know Veda is in good hands. I'll continue to book time with Michael, and would gladly recommend him to others.

Leilani did a great job with Atlas! He’s very walker dependent, so we spent a lot of time going over what works for him. She was able to follow all of my directions and manage him well! He’s e collar trained and I had her take it just in case. She’s definitely comfortable with strong pups!

This was our first time using Rover as we’ve usually had friends watch our pup while out of town, but they were unavailable this go around. We were lucky enough to stumble across Jahnobi. She was communicative and super helpful in making Leo feel comfortable. Will definitely be reaching out to her the next time we need a sitter!
