“Petunia was simply wonderful, able to accommodate me last minute on a holiday weekend and very communicative and caring about my dog. She is what Sonoma dog parents need!!! ??”

About: Veteran who is an avid rescuer of both cats and dogs. I have been rehabilitating rescued dogs for 12 years and I have had a cat my entire life. I currently volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society as part of their dog team. I specialize in dealing with timid dogs (My own dogs have been from a rescue with behavioral waivers) and helping dogs learn basic obedience procedures (sit, stay, heal, law down) while walking. My passion is helping animals feel safe. On week days, I am available after 5pm and I am available all weekend. I enjoy giving dogs the amount of exercise and stimulation needed to help alleviate stress, loneliness and anxiety. Furthermore, I am more than qualified to clean litter boxes, feed your animals and provide a safe and reliable person within your home. Now that I have returned to office full time, I am not longer unavailable for mid day walks, but I do still welcome the opportunity to walk/feed your pets in my non work hours. I have experience taking care of your animals in your home where there is minimal interruption in their daily routine, no matter how many special instructions need to be followed.

“Jayms was a reliable, caring and energetic walker for our 3 year old Pitbull mix, Meadow. She always provides pictures and updates, and it is clear how much she truly loved our pup like she was her own. Jayms was even able to help us out in a pinch a couple of times for last minute coverage. We're sad that she's moving out of the Boston area!!”

About: I currently have the privilege of having two senior dogs that have been in my care for 13 years. I am aware of the patience, love and commitment it takes, having and caring for a pet that solely relies on you. I am comfortable administering medications and dealing with food modifications. I have also helped foster in the past. I am home during the day, with light serving shift 3 times a week at night. Long or short walks are available, as well as playtime, boarding and overnight care. My home is your pets home! I love my neighborhood. While I do not have direct access to a back yard, I am super close to multiple dog parks and live in a very walkable neighborhood.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life and I love watching them. Also, I’ve had lots of experience with puppies over the past few years and can keep up your training habits while you’re gone! I work in an office normally from 7am-12pm Monday-Friday so typically I can do afternoon and evening services during the week and mornings on the weekends. I used to rover quite a bit in 2024 but took a break in 2025 to travel, just getting back into the routine for 2026. I live in an apartment with no pets! I have a roommate so I prefer drop in visits at your place, but can accommodate if necessary. Typically, I take dogs on multiple longer walks during the day and quick laps around the block at night time.

“Melissa- was wonderful. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog know that Melissa was going to walk her and check up on her. I will definitely be using Melissa again!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for many years and have three years of professional experience working at a dog daycare facility. In that role, I’ve been trained in pack walks, structured solo walks, enrichment activities, and a wide range of services related to daycare and overnight care. I’m committed to creating a safe, positive environment for both dogs and their owners. I’ve also been trained by professional dog trainers and earned in-house certifications in areas such as managing aggressive behavior, separation anxiety, canine behavior, and basic dog health and symptom recognition. Additionally, I have experience managing large groups of 10 or more dogs of varying sizes and breeds. I work with dogs every day and bring my own two, Lucky and Lainie, with me to work. While my schedule is consistent throughout the week, I’m able to offer some flexibility and I'm currently most available on Sundays and Mondays. At this time, I’m unable to host clients’ pets in my home or stay at their home. I hope to offer this options in the future and appreciate your understanding.
“Katherine is great- she is patient and our little westies are very comfortable with her - she took care of them for 3 days and we will definitely call on her again!”

About: I grew up with Border Collies my whole life, so lots of experience with high energy dogs! I have 1 Siamese Cat, Bruce Wayne. I love all animals, and will happily watch your fur babies like they are my own. I respond quickly, and will provide as many updates as you need while you are away! I work remote, so I have a ton of flexibility on when I can come over and watch your animals and/or can work from there. I will follow your directions exactly, and take great care of your animals! You won’t have to worry about a thing while your away or busy
About: My main job is nannying multiple children, whose family pets and homes I have also cared for. I’ve cared for a variety of dogs and cats, from simply walking, to providing medication, and sitting/boarding. I nanny for work and have a very flexible schedule! I have a lot of open availability during my weeks, evenings, overnight, and weekends. I’m also up super early and get a lot of steps in daily so not a problem incorporating that into my routine. I have no pets at home, I live in an apartment with a gate balcony and I walk A LOT so that’s no problem! As for others homes, I’m used to it for my job as a nanny. I care for others’ spaces and loved ones as those it was all my own.
“Angela was amazing with Ollie. He can be a little hesitant with strangers when he goes out for a walk but she was very patient with him. Ollie seems thrilled to have a new friend”

“Jarrod was amazing! He took very kindly to our pup and put my mind at ease. Our dog is reactive so it can be nerve racking leaving him in someone else’s care, Jarrod was so understanding and easy to work with!”

Little Italy dog parents share their Rover experiences
Viktorija was the sweetest caregiver I could ask for. Taco was pretty stressed about having a dog walker and she was able to gradually coax him into a comfortable loving place where he trusted her. For a chihuahua to warm up to someone in 4 days is a credit to her gentleness and patience.

Darya was so sensitive and loving with Taco. He was having a tough week with Daddy being away, and she was able to sweetly coax him on his walks each day. This was a great relief to my stress about working late while my husband was out of town. I will certainly be asking for her help in the future.

Tom was INCREDIBLE with my 2 dogs. He walked them every weekday for 5 weeks straight. He was communicative, punctual, caring, and my dogs always came back well exercised and happy. I highly recommend Tom to anyone who needs dog care in San Diego. He’s the best.

Sarah was amazing with my two pitbulls! She was communicative, reliable, and kept me updated with photos and videos. She took great care of my dogs and made me feel completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. My doggies absolutely loved her, and I could tell they were happy and comfortable with her. I look forward to booking with her again! 🐾💕

Tina has been an excellent walker for my older dog, Charlotte. I am chronically ill and housebound right now. I have my dog walked 3x a day. Sometimes walkers can’t cover their walks or cancel last minute. Tina has subbed in for almost all of the walks I’ve offered her outright. She has shown up for every last minute walk for which I needed coverage. My dog is a special needs dog, and Tina has been very good at following my requests on how my dog’s walk needs to be limited or otherwise. I would definitely recommend her!
