Dogs have been part of my life since I was a child, and I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels for over 11 years. I was the proud owner of a special-needs senior dog who I cared for from the time I was 18 until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge, so I understand the patience, dedication, and unconditional love our pets deserve. I also regularly dog sit and have experience walking large breeds, handling excited or strong dogs on leash, and staying calm in stressful situations. Safety is always my top priority, whether we’re out for a walk or relaxing at home. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family, making sure they receive plenty of exercise, affection, routine, and personalized care. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re apart.

Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll follow your care instructions closely—from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I pay close attention to each animal’s body language and behavior and can recognize when something seems off. I have experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and medical needs, and I remain calm in stressful situations. I treat every pet as if they were my own, keeping them safe, loved, entertained, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

Very grateful for Monica, she took such amazing care of Violet and gave Gunther so much love and attention which I appreciate so much. Violet went on long walks and also started her heat cycle in the last few days of our trip, which Monica handled perfectly! Monica took amazing care of my cat Wally while I was away. She was dependable, attentive, and made sure he got plenty of love and attention. She handled his mischievous antics with ease and won his affection, even though Wally can be a bit antisocial and takes some time to warm up to people (it’s the mini tiger in him.) I came home to a happy, relaxed cat, which is exactly what you hope for when someone is watching your pet. I’d happily trust Monica with Wally again and highly recommend her. Two paws up from Wally and me!

Schedule
I’m currently in school, so I appreciate the flexibility that pet sitting provides. Outside of occasional Monday and Wednesday mornings, my schedule is very open, and I’m happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. If you’re located in the downtown area, I’m especially available for drop-in visits, walks, feedings, or last-minute check-ins. Caring for animals has been part of my daily routine for over 10 years, so fitting pet care into my schedule comes naturally.
