“Coco loves Ana and her husband! They really treat her like they would their own pup. They are super accommodating to her needs as an anxious dog with separation anxiety, and I know she loves the extra affection and attention that they give her while she stays with them. This is Coco’s second time staying with them, and we would book again with Ana!”

He was extremely accommodating and sent pics and updates throughout the day. Cato went on plenty of walks and got lots of fresh air. I will definitely use Phillip again, he is an amazing dog sitter and Cato was well taken care of.”

“Michelle is amazing! She cared for our Blue as if he were her own. She took him on regular walks and always kept me updated with sweet messages and pictures. Her dogs were wonderful hosts too—they all welcomed Blue into their home with open paws! I highly recommend booking Michelle. She’s reliable, trustworthy, and truly loves animals.”

“This was our first time using Jordan, and it was a great experience from start to finish. She was super attentive and kept us updated with pictures, which we really appreciated. She even took the time to meet Kai beforehand, which made us feel so much more comfortable. She was always responsive and worked around our schedule—every time we messaged her, she got back to us quickly. Communication was easy the whole time. Kai came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We’re already planning to rebook with Jordan!”

About: I’ve been catsitting my brother’s cats for the past four years, making sure they’re fed, their litter is clean, and they feel comfortable and relaxed while he’s away. I’m patient with different personalities and always try to make cats feel safe and at ease in their own space.

About: Ever since I was little I’ve always had a cat by my side, my little built in bff. I have two cats, sisters from different misters. Willow has been my baby for 8 years now; she’s a super sweet but a super shy and timid girly. And Bea, she’s my feisty and spunky Covid baby who’s practically attached to my hip. They really are my bestest friends and my emotional support. I love meeting all the little kitties and would love the chance to get to know your fur babies!

Mango was so happy during her visits, and really came out of his shell when Latisha was there. Additionally, my apartment was spotless and she respected my space which was very much appreciated!”

“Angela went the extra mile to take care of our feline family member. I love that she pays attention to his social needs as well, with lots of play time and cuddle time!”

“Haley boarded our cat for a week after she had just been hospitalized and was on high alert for any medical issues. In the planning leading up to us leaving for our trip Haley was very understanding and communicative and helped to ease our nerves about leaving our baby at such a stressful time! While we were gone she sent updates and photos daily and reassurance that our kitty was happy, healthy, and getting plenty of love!!”

I’m available throughout the day to care for pets, including walks, playtime, and feeding time I prioritize a safe and comfortable environment for every pet. “Madisen was fabulous! She was always on time and gave me great updates on my Mini Cat. My cat is always stressed when I get home from a vacation but not this time. Highly recommend and will definitely be using her services in the future!!!”

About: I have always been an animal lover so since my childhood I have helped care for dogs and cats. I would care for my neighbors cats when they were on vacation and volunteered at the animal shelter in high school giving me experience with cats. Many of my friends have cats and I have been their go-to cat sitters for years. I recently lived with my first cat this past year when my boyfriend and Mia moved in. Mia was 19 years old at the time and required special care such as medication twice a day. I got really good at administering her pills which she hated but I learned how to do it gently and quickly. From my experience with kitties of all ages I have learned how to make them comfortable around me and provide the care and attention they need when their family is not around. About: My approach to pet sitting is based upon knowledge, compassion, communication and trust. This sets a peaceful tone for both the pet and their owner. I'm a member of PSI (Pet Sitters International) and have taken many courses including dog body language, pet sitting essentials and pet first aid. I have a Pet CPR Certificate from the American Red Cross as well. I enjoy pet sitting in the clients home where I can create a customized approach to caring for the needs of their pet and their owner. I also excel at dog walking. When walking your dog, I pay close attention to how they're interacting with the environment and always keep their health and safety as a priority. I look forward to working with you and your beloved pet! I am available 7 days a week 7am-8pm with over-nights being an option as well. I'm happy to work with you on finding the right schedule for the both of us. When caring for a pet in the client's home, I first learn the habits of the pet from the owner. This includes: their feeding schedule, medications needed, hiding places, their behavior toward people and other animals, potty habits etc. From there I create an environment of comfort for the pet making sure they are played with, fed, walked and rested. During this time, I stay in contact with the owner and update them with notes and photos of their pet.

“Jayms was great with my senior cat and was totally comfortable giving her medication. She was a great communicator and I really appreciated that while I was gone! Highly recommend!”

“This was Taco’s second time at Maria’s and she had a great time! Maria sent photos throughout the trip and Taco came home happy and calm. I always feel confident in Taco’s care when we leave her with Maria and will be booking with her again in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m Amy, a dependable and attentive dog lover who understands how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet. I have a senior dog of my own, Sammy, so I’m very comfortable with the routines, patience, and extra care that some dogs need, whether that’s slower walks, medication routines, or simply a calm and reassuring presence. I’m active, responsible, and love spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to tailor care to your dog’s needs, whether that means neighborhood walks, playtime, or relaxed companionship at home. I’ll care for your dog the way I’d want someone to care for mine: safely, lovingly, and with lots of attention to their unique personality and routine. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet care throughout the week. I do have a standing commitment on Monday and Wednesday mornings that takes me away for a few hours, but outside of that I have a lot of flexibility and can often accommodate a variety of schedules with advance notice. I prioritize safe, attentive, and individualized care for every dog. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, temperament, triggers, and any special instructions before providing care. I’m mindful of leash safety, secure doors and gates carefully, monitor for signs of stress or discomfort, and make sure they have fresh water, exercise, and a calm environment. I also understand that every dog is different, some want lots of activity and play, while others do better with a slower pace, extra patience, or a more structured routine. My goal is always to make dogs feel comfortable!

“Kaitlyn was extremely communicative, punctual, kind, good-humored, and got along very well with my cat. My cat seemed well cared for when I got back from my two week trip and everything was tidy and in its place. I would definitely hire her again and would recommend her to anyone. Thanks Kaitlyn!”

About: I have 9 years of experience with cats starting from the moment I rescued my grumpy bestie, Stella, from the SPCA. Then, in 2021 my husband and I rescued a kitten who had been hit by a car in our neighborhood. Not only did we have to gain a street cat's trust, but we had to do so while administering three medications orally a day. Today, she is the most loving, needy, happy little tripod named Queenie who has taught us so much about patience, respect, and of course veterinary and medical care.

About: I used to have a cat and a hamster and currently own a dog (does not live with me). I have personally trained him and he is now living with my family! I currently go to college in the morning so my availability will be the afternoons along with the weekends in the afternoon and night! I can do boarding on the weekends while caring during the afternoon on the week days! I enjoy playing or relaxing with your animal depending on what they like to do! For dogs, there is a pet relief area in my apartment building however if they are not comfortable with that and/or you have a senior dog, i do have fake grass on my patio right outside of my apartment!

“I came to San Diego for a conference and brought along my little Cocker Spaniel rescue who I just adopted 5 months ago. Melissa cared for him during the day. He has had a lot of separation anxiety. But with Melissa it was much less than I expected. No doubt she has a gift with animals! Thank you Melissa!”

About: My name is Anna! I am a dog lover, owner and walking aficionado. I have spent the majority of my life both around and taking care of animals - from family and friends to my very own, dogs become instant family to me. I enjoy that happy dog smile of outside freedom and will make sure your pup is getting the fresh air, exercise and love they deserve! I'm experienced and confident with dogs of all breeds for games of fetch, long walks to match their energy (fast-paced, mellow, etc.,) administering medicine, to the classic belly scratch they crave. I look forward to meeting your pup and providing a wonderful experience :) I work remotely and have flexibility for all check-ins, neighborhood walks, potty breaks, administering medicine, etc. I am available mornings, midday and evenings to support your dog's needs. I offer the highest level of respect for your home and will ensure your dog picked up after, mail is brought in, if plants need watered, etc.

“I would absolutely recommend having your pup stay with Evan and Julia. Our dog Benny had a wonderful time with them (dog park included!) and I knew he was in good hands while we were exploring San Diego. About: 👋 Hi, we’re Brian and Bea! We’ve had dogs all our lives and have been primary doggie caretakers since we were kids. We both work from home, so your dog gets company, potty breaks, praises and attention all day! 🐕 We live with Amaru, our AKC Canine Good Citizen-certified Shiba Inu. If you know Shibas, you know they're independent, picky about food, and selectively deaf when it suits them. Living with one has made us patient with dogs who are slow to warm up or particular about their routine. Amaru is also very social, so your pups get a playmate and nap buddy as well! ❤️ We believe the bond between people and dogs is one of the sweetest things in life. Their time with us is never long enough, so we want to help them enjoy every bit of it and give them the same unconditional love they give us. ✍️ We'll follow your feeding, medication, and walk schedule exactly as written, keep your house rules, and send photo updates. We treat every dog here the way we treat ours: like our baby ♥️🫶 👫 We’re a work-from-home couple with a social Shiba, so pet care naturally fits into our daily routine. We’re available for doggy daycare visits on weekdays and Saturdays after 9am. Our workday breaks already revolve around Amaru (a quick walk, a game of fetch, or a few minutes of trick practice) and your dog would easily fit into that same rhythm. Evenings are dedicated to dog time, with plenty of walks, play, training, and couch cuddles. We’re also happy to follow your dog’s usual schedule for meals, walks, medications, and bedtime whenever possible. Our goal is to keep their routine familiar and comfortable, so they feel right at home while they’re with us. 🏡 We live in a spacious apartment with a big private rooftop deck, and Petco Park is just about a block away for walks. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and in every room of our home, so they can settle in wherever they’re most comfortable. 🐶 We like to start with a meet-and-greet so both you and your dog can feel comfortable before the stay begins. Amaru is very social and has never shown aggression toward a dog or person. He’s also famously picky about food (😩) so visiting dogs don’t have to worry about him being possessive over food. That said, we still feed dogs separately as a standard precaution and never leave visiting dogs unsupervised together. 📸 Our camera roll is already full of Amaru photos, so sending you regular pictures and updates of your dog throughout the day comes naturally. 🚨We’ll also collect your vet’s information and an emergency contact before the stay, and we’ll reach out right away if we notice anything unusual. Your dog’s safety and comfort always come first☝🏻!

“Leah was amazing. I was nervous to leave my dogs with someone new but she was communicative the whole time. I got pictures and updates which made me confident my babies were in good hands. 10 out of 10 would recommend”

“Camille was amazing with my mini dachshund puppy! She was super flexible with my long work hours and change of schedule. Sent pictures and updates throughout the day and an hour by hour note of everything they did at daycare that day 🥺 she spent so much time playing with him and taking him on walks even during her work day, I know he felt loved!”

“Incredible care! I was traveling to town for school and she was not only available at the last minute, but very responsive and communicative. Very good with my girl Nala. And very reliable. Will absolutely book again!”

About: I’m a big animal person! I’ve always grown up with a number of different animals that, of course, includes cats and dogs. I’ve dog sat puppies, teenage, and senior dogs alike! I started dog sitting for friends and family when I was about 16, and have always lived with dogs. I super understand how fur babies are just like family and have a big heart for them! I’m currently a full time student and I work part time. I have been having an itch to spend time with dogs because they just make me happy to be honest! Life can be stressful, so I’d consider caring for your pups a stress relief and a middle booster for sure. I can’t exactly have my own dog at the moment, so I thought pet sitting might be the next best thing! I would follow the owners guidelines and make sure to take care of wolf their fur babies exactly how they would! Playing with them, feeding them, taking them out, and giving them cuddles whatever it may be! I have a cat who is my best friend so I understand how important these fur babies are to us!
“Every dog loves enthusiastic playmates. Phillip fits the description. He is consistently professional, friendly, helpful and always right on time. I need to feel that my older dog is safe when going out walking in our neighborhood, the city. Phillip "brings it", when he comes to see Colette...she feels at home with him and Phillip leaves the pictures to prove it. :-).”

“Jarrod was really great with our big Anatolian shepherd, Rue this weekend. Rain or shine, he took Rue to the park and walked him twice a day while we were out of town. That's dedication! Thank you, Jarrod!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for most of my life, and caring for them is something I truly love. I’ve also been dog sitting for family, friends, and neighbors here and there over the years, and during Covid, I would watch one of my close neighbor’s dogs for about a year. Now I’m excited to finally turn that passion into my job through Rover. My family has adopted rescue dogs from local shelters since I was 10 years old. Our first dog was Lucy, a sweet Chihuahua mix who completely stole our hearts. A few years later, we welcomed our sweet boy, Axle, into the family. Sadly, we lost both of them last March, but they’ll always have a special place in my heart. Today, I have two adorable little rascals who keep life fun! Fiona is our pit bull mix, and Rocky is our Chihuahua mix. Fiona was one of the most challenging dogs I’ve ever worked with, but with lots of patience, consistency, and love, she has come such a long way. Watching her grow has taught me so much about understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. Every dog deserves kindness, patience, and plenty of love. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and I look forward to giving your furry family member the same care, attention, and affection while you’re away. I work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide loving, dependable care for your pets and extra loving attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, reliable hands.

About: I started by taking care of my moms 4 dogs when she would go on vacations and needed a dog sitter. That really taught me how to feed them efficiently and when to take them outside to go potty. From there I learned how to hang out with them and play with them efficiently. I am a college student with classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday I am available for the entire day and night. On Wednesday and Friday I'm available at night, Monday I'm not because I have a night class. Staying over night is not a problem, along with check ins during the days even on school days. I love dogs and am really good at feeding them, taking them outside, and playing with them. I'm not a trainer, but someone who is good at taking care of them while you are away. My mom has 4 small dogs so I'm very familiar with smaller dogs, but I have also watched bigger dogs as well.
“Alex has been amazing! She took our pup on a few walks when we were busy at work and she was very reliable, easy to communicate with and responsive, and left us some great pics and videos for us to see! When Penny was too stubborn to go on a walk, Alex was so nice to play with her and keep her active! Highly recommend, definitely plan to use Alex in the future! Thank you, Alex!!!”

“Jayms was a reliable, caring and energetic walker for our 3 year old Pitbull mix, Meadow. She always provides pictures and updates, and it is clear how much she truly loved our pup like she was her own. Jayms was even able to help us out in a pinch a couple of times for last minute coverage. We're sad that she's moving out of the Boston area!!”

About: Hi, I’m Jana! I am a full-time physical therapist looking to spend time with some pups since I currently do not have one of my own. I’ve been a passionate animal lover my entire life, growing up with a beloved family dog and later raising my own Australian Shepherd from a puppy. Because of my Aussie, I am incredibly comfortable managing high-energy breeds and keeping up with demanding exercise schedules, making me the perfect match for active dogs who love long, fulfilling walks. Over the years, I’ve also become the trusted, go-to dog and cat sitter for my friends. Through these diverse experiences, I’ve developed a deep understanding of animal behavior and know exactly how to read their cues to make them feel safe, secure, and completely comfortable around me. Above all, safety is my absolute top priority. I approach every walk and sitting session with extreme care, ensuring your furry family member is never put in danger. I can't wait to meet your pet and provide the reliable, attentive care they deserve! Certifications: Cat and Dog First Aid and IAP Dog Walker certified. I currently work Tuesday through Fridays so I am available Saturday, Sunday and Mondays when most pet parents may be traveling. Also, I am willing to walk or drop in during my days off for those who work weekends! When caring for pets at their own home I prioritize their needs as well as the privacy of my clients. I will always treat their home with respect. If your pup is staying with me, be assured I will keep them on their normal schedule and give them the love and attention they deserve.

“Claudia is amazing! She is very thoughtful, considerate, and detail-oriented when it comes to dog sitting/boarding. My senior pups loved her. Highly recommended!”

“I absolutely loved Melissa. I unfortunately had to book her very last minute after a misunderstanding with the hotel we were staying at. She was super quick to respond and she took great care of our baby while we were gone. Loved getting photos throughout her stay. Would definitely come back to her and highly recommend!”

“Rylee had another great stay with her fave babysitter, Ken. She gets so many walks and all the cuddles she needs. Ken expertly handles all her puppy energy and early morning wake ups. Rylee is looking forward to her next stay:)”

About: I have a Mini Australian Shepard of my own who is 3 years old, whom I trained myself. He is very well behaved. Additionally, I’ve been a dog and cat sitter for friends and family over the past 5 years. My service will include lots of walks, love, and play time with your pet. I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available all day on weekends and on weekdays after 6 p.m. Although I live in an apartment, I do have access to 2 fenced dog parks across the street and I live close to Balboa park which makes for great walks!
“Kodak was in great hands during his stay! He got daily walks and daily cuddles. He looked very comfortable with Wendy. Definitely will be rebooking in the future and would recommend to anyone!”

“Lisa is incredible! Not only is she super kind and helpful for drop off and picks ups but my pup is OBSESSED!! Lisa is so great about taking mango on tons of walks and socializing her with other dogs. Lisa is also great about keeping me informed with daily messages and pictures. I feel like I save her pictures as my background more often than my own! All in all, mango and I will always go to Lisa :)”

“Tyler & Joseph were wonderful. They took great care of my senior dog who is blind and has diabetes. They gave me daily updates on how things were going. I was able to full enjoy my vacation and put my worries at ease knowing my baby was in good hands.”

“Benjamin was absolutely the best! He was responsive, kind, and so easy to work with. Our baby Salem adored him and loved having a new furry best friend to play with. We always felt she was safe and cared for, and we appreciated the thoughtful updates along the way. When we’re back, we’ll definitely book with Benjamin again and recommend him to all our friends with furry babies. Thank you, Benjamin, for being so wonderful and for accommodating us on such short notice!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Taylor & Sarah. They exceed all communication expectations and it was beyond evident in the photos they sent that our dog felt super comfortable and happy with them and Mango. As a rover sitter myself, I know what goes into caring for others dogs - we are so appreciative of their level of care, and they made us feel beyond comfortable while we were away :)”

“Jeremy was the absolute best with my high-maintenance husky Lilo. Lilo had bad experience with an initial sitter and Jeremy accepted her as a Drop Off after speaking with me about the situation. He handled the situation with grace and so much care, updating me every day on her well-being and state. My dog experiences separation anxiety and I felt she was truly in the best hands with Jeremy. I highly recommend him for your time away from your pet.”
