“Xochitl (and husband) were amazing! I’ve used a lot of Rovers over the years, and she is at the very top of the list. From the first time we met her, it was clear that they were dog people. One of our pups is super timid and can take a while to warm up. Not this time! These two must have the magic touch, sending multiple pictures of her accepting belly rubs and giving kisses. Just as awesome: Some sitters will just send ‘proof of life’ shots showing that they are walking the dogs. But Xotchitl sent daily pictures of them in and outside of the house and interacting with them personally. Overall, Xotchitl made us feel at complete ease while on vacation - which doesn’t always happen. Can’t recommend her enough!”

About: I am Bradley and I have taken care of dogs for the past 10 years. My own dog is almost 9 years old, 20 pounds, and is very friendly. I dog sit pretty often and love have extra furry friends stay with us. We have close access to grass for potty breaks and Balboa Park is only a few blocks away. We love to get outside and walk the neighborhood. I work from home, so I have lots of time to make sure any dogs staying with me has plenty of time to get outside and play. I typically am outside with my dog 4x a day. My own home has plenty of space to roam around. My dog is very friendly but typically keeps to herself even when other dogs are around. I am always available to help your dog for any particular need they might have.

About: Had my Golden Retriever over 14.5 years. We are very patient, around the house all day, and have some toys and treats that our sweet Bailey girl left behind we’d like to share! Will take your pup on walks, make sure they are fed appropriately and give lots of complimentary belly rubs. Both of us are home a majority of the day. We are active. Happy to take your pets on walks or any outdoor activities they may enjoy. Have a large condo so plenty of space. Can crate pet if you’d like but am flexible as long as pet is comfortable in our home. Have separate rooms and areas to put pets in if there are multiple or need their space.

My husband also has a flexible self-managed schedule and is often home throughout the week. This means that your pet will rarely be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of companionship, attention, and care. When caring for pets in my home, I follow each owner's instructions carefully to make sure their pet stays comfortable and happy. I maintain feeding schedules, keep litter boxes clean, provide fresh water, and respect any special routines or preferences. I also make time for play, companionship, and affection, while paying close attention to each pet's personality and needs.

“Alisiene was an exceptional dog sitter! She was incredibly responsive, flexible, and understanding of my schedule. From the moment Lucky stayed with her, I knew he was in great hands. She took excellent care of him, made sure he received all of his medication, and was especially attentive to his needs since he has limited vision. Alisiene also did an amazing job with feeding him. Lucky is a very picky and lazy eater, but she somehow managed to get him to eat all of his meals, which is no small feat! It was clear that she paid close attention to his routine and made sure he was well cared for. She took him on multiple walks each day, kept him comfortable and engaged, and provided regular updates throughout his stay, which gave me great peace of mind. I also really appreciated how organized and thoughtful she was—when I picked Lucky up, all of his containers, dog bowls, and belongings were returned spotless and thoroughly cleaned. It was clear that Alisiene genuinely cared about Lucky’s well-being and treated him like her own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter. Anya was the best dog sitter! Bailey did really well at her house which made me very happy as I had never boarded her boarded her outside of my home before. I got regular updates, pictures and videos and could tell she was getting the attention and love she deserves. She was well cared for and will be going back to stay with Anya this weekend!
Daniela was great!! The drop-off and pick-up process were really easy. She communicated well, and I could tell that my dog was comfortable and cared for the whole time he was there. We will definitely reach back out to Daniela and her husband when we are in the area again.
Kelly rocks! My dog gets anxious away from home and Monique created a calm and welcoming environment. He's also a picky eater but takes oral medication everyday. She was able to ensure he was taking his meds and eating. It was such a relief having someone so wonderful and attentive watching him while I was away. I also appreciated all the communication-lots of photos and texts describing daily walks and activities and anything that was out of the normal. Can't recommend Kelly enough!
Emmanuela was such a good sitter to our 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix. We are new to San Diego and were anxious about leaving our baby with strangers. But when we met Emmanuela she reassured us we would receive updates and that he would go on plenty of walks with her and her boyfriend. This made us feel even better knowing he’d have a couple watching him like he usually does at home. Since moving from Texas, our boy has missed his balcony time and he got plenty at Emmanuela’s. My chihuahua came to stay with Serenity over the 4th of July weekend. Communication was excellent. We did a short meet and greet. I received several updates a day with pictures and details about walks, meals and cuddles. I can tell my little fur baby had the best sleepover. Thank you Serenity 🩷
This was Willow’s second time staying with Araceli, and when I picked her up, she didn’t want to come home! Araceli is the best, her manner with pups and her joyfulness with being a sitter is what makes me effortlessly comfortable to leave my Willow with her. Willow loves her “Tia” and she’ll be back!
Jordan is perfect! York had some unexpected allergies happening during the boarding and Jordan was about to notice the issue and took the action right away, (yes she has a cone at her place, amazing!), also Jordan sends out photos every day, with a very smooth communication! Overall we really appreciate Jordan’s help watching York and we believe York also had a good time staying with her, will definitely come back next time when we are out of town!
