Happy Tails Home Boarding
Aloha! I’m May, your go‑to dog sitter who treats every pup like family. Located right in Mission Valley off the 163 freeway (by Fashion Valley Mall) I’m based right here in San Diego with a cozy, dog‑friendly home, a fully gated yard, and — pup favorite alert — the trolley literally stops at my house, which means built‑in excitement, enrichment, and endless tail‑wagging entertainment. I specialize in young puppy dog care, senior dog care, and helping dogs feel safe, confident, and loved while their humans are away. Whether your pup needs structure, patience, medication reminders, or just someone who understands their quirks, I’ve got them covered. I’m also a proud dog mom to Von, my Dachshund‑Terrier mix with main‑character energy. Also, it's important to note Von is NOT fixed. He’s friendly, social, and loves having new buddies over for sleepovers. Your dog will enjoy a calm, happy environment with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervised outdoor time. With me, your pup gets: 🐾 A safe, gated yard for zoomies 🌞 Daily walks + enrichment 🐶 Puppy training support 💛 Senior dog patience + comfort 📸 Photo updates so you never miss a moment 🏡 A warm, clean, loving home environment 🎉 Trolley‑watching adventures (trust me, dogs LOVE this) I’m here to make your dog feel at home, keep their routine steady, and give you total peace of mind. When your pup stays with me, they’re treated like royalty — because that’s exactly what they deserve.

Ratings and reviews
I’ve known May for over six years, and I can say with complete confidence that she is one of the most trustworthy, responsible, and loving people you could ever leave your pet with. She has a natural calmness that animals gravitate toward, and she treats every dog like they’re part of her own family. My dog Luna — a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who can be quite fussy and has been known to bite — is an absolute sweetheart with May. Luna trusts her completely, and seeing that bond has always given me total peace of mind. May is attentive, patient, and incredibly detail‑oriented, the kind of person who notices the small things and makes sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and understood. Her home is welcoming, her yard is secure, and her schedule allows her to give dogs the kind of consistent attention most sitters can’t. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond for your pet, May is truly the best choice. — Lindsay C.
We’ve known May for years, and as fellow Rover sitters, we can confidently say she is one of the most patient, kind, and reliable caregivers you’ll ever meet. We’ve had her watch our dogs multiple times, and she treats them with the same love and attention she gives her own pup. She’s amazing on walks, incredibly gentle with nervous dogs, and has a calm presence that animals instantly respond to. Our dog Zora — a 14‑year‑old Wire Haired Fox Terrier/Westie mix who can be pretty testy with certain people and dogs — absolutely adores May. Zora lights up when she sees her, and that level of trust speaks volumes. May has a gift for making dogs feel safe, understood, and cared for. We recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a sitter who truly goes above and beyond. -Grant & Kelsey
If you are looking for the absolute BEST caretaker for your fur babies, look no further than May! May and I have been friends for about four years now, and I can tell you firsthand that her energy, heart, and passion for animals is absolutely magnetic! Not only is she a wonderful mom to her son Von, but she extends that same deep love, patience, and care to every single animal she meets. I have two dogs with completely different personalities, and May is a total rockstar with both of them. My German Shepherd, Roxy, suffers from severe anxiety and is very selective about who she trusts. May was able to connect with her instantly, showing incredible gentleness and intuition. On the flip side, our Chocolate Lab, Max, is completely obsessed with her! Every single time he sees May, he loses his mind with excitement, tries to crawl right through her legs, and wants her to ride him like a pony! Animals are the ultimate judges of character, and my pups have spoken. May is responsible, deeply passionate, and treats every pet like her own family. I highly, highly recommend May to watch your fur babies—you won't find anyone better!

Schedule
Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I work from home and have the flexibility to give each dog plenty of attention throughout the day. My home is spacious, calm, and fully fenced, so pups can safely explore, sunbathe, or play whenever they want. I take regular breaks to walk, train, or check in with the dogs, and I love incorporating enrichment into their day. The trolley even stops right at my home — a fun little highlight the dogs always get excited about. Because I’m home full‑time, your pup gets consistent supervision, affection, and a steady routine that keeps them happy and relaxed.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Safety, trust, and comfort are the foundation of how I care for pets. Whether a dog stays in my home or I’m caring for them in a client’s home, I focus on creating a calm, structured, and supervised environment where every pup feels secure. In my home: I have a spacious layout that allows dogs to relax, explore, and settle in without feeling overwhelmed. My yard is fully gated and secure, giving pups a safe space for outdoor time, sunbathing, and play. I work from home, so dogs are never left alone for long periods — they get consistent supervision, affection, and routine. I also keep doors latched, food stored safely, and use baby gates when needed to manage space and keep everyone comfortable. The trolley stops right at my home, which adds a fun enrichment moment the dogs genuinely enjoy.
