About: I was raised a dog person and have turned into an animal person! I have 10 years experience working as a Vet Tech. I have cared for ages ranging from puppies to senior dogs. I am currently a stay at home dog mom and have a fairly open schedule. I have a pug named Peanut who is my whole world. My pug Peanut is fed twice a day and has her water bowl refreshed with fresh water daily. She goes on walks twice a day and enjoys her time outside. Peanut requires tons of attention and demands to be pet often. She is also bathed once a week. She also enjoys playing fetch as much as possible!
About: I am a lover of the natural world and all it's animals. I have sat for friends and family's dogs, cats, snakes, and birds since my early 20s. I have also fostered a sweet angel pit mix who came to the shelter malnourished with multiple tumors on her body and a broken hind leg. I administered her daily medications, nourished her body and slowly helped her heal throughout and after multiple surgeries to remove her tumors and amputate her leg before finding her furever home. It was a gift to see her grow stronger and thrive as a silly goofy girl. I am patient, attentive, and easily adapt to your pets needs whether it's on walks or cozy at home. I currently live with two dogs who I love and adore and often help my roommate care for them with daily walks and cuddles. I can't wait to meet your pets and help them feel comfortable and happy while you're away. I am currently in between jobs due to lay offs so I am available anytime week days and weekends for all day care and would love to meet your fur babies! I love to be active, outdoors, and move my body so daily dog walks are a sweet retreat and exploration for the both of us. I have experience walking multiple dogs at once as well. I make sure to review all needs and requirements for each animal ahead of time with their owner(s) and ask any additional questions if necessary. I give them my utmost care and attention. I am extremely patient and safety is my priority.
“Juliette is great! She was able to accommodate a last minute request, is communicative, and managed a successful walk with our sometimes stubborn fur babies. We’ll book her again and recommend her services.”

I have availability throughout week and have a very flexible schedule. I would love to help you care for your pet any time, any day! treat every pet like family. About: I love animals of all kind. I grew up with dogs. I now have 2 cats that we rescued and a 14.5 year old pup I am currently not working full time, so I can watch your animals whenever needed. I prefer walk and play time, but can stay over night if needed. I understand the importance of dogs and cats being in their home I treat every animal like they are my own. At our house the animals have free rain over the house but I understand the importance of crating and whatever needs the pets have.

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my entire life, including dogs of all sizes. I am experienced in giving medications, walking, feeding, and taking out for potty breaks and doing so in a loving and patient manner. As an animal lover I also like to give back to the animal community and have done so by volunteering at the animal shelter where I have learned so much. I am a former Registered Nurse so I have plenty of experience administering shots and I am currently looking into vet tech schools to pursue a new exciting career working closely with animals of all kinds. I am excited to meet you and your furry friends. I currently have 2 cats and 3 grand pups. That’s right. All 3 of my children have adorable dogs and I help care for them every week. I enjoy walking them, feeding them and playing with them. I would have a dog of my own too, but I live in a tiny apartment and my 2 cats, Simba and Floyd are my best friends. I have worked as a dog walker in the past for a company in Carlsbad where I gained valuable experience. I will provide exceptional care for your pets in your home. I will feed, water, walk and play and take them out for potty breaks. I can administer medication as well. I am patient and caring with a background in nursing. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members.
About: Hi! I’m a reliable, dog loving sitter with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all kinds, from my family’s Rottweiler to dogs I’ve watched for friends, family, past employers and current employers :). I know every dog is different, so I focus on making them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to build my day around pet care. I also like to stay active, which makes dog walks a natural part of my routine. Whether it’s morning, midday, or evening, I can be available to give your dog the attention and care they need. I usually just follow whatever routine your dog is already used to (feeding times, walks, playtime, all of that) so nothing feels off for them. In your home, I try to keep things as normal and low stress as possible. If they’re with me, they’ll get regular walks, attention, and a calm, clean space to hang out. I’m pretty attentive and good at picking up on what a dog needs, whether that’s more activity or just time to chill.
“Ashley was great! Sent plenty of pics and a video of her playing with my dog Molly! She was great at communicating cating with me about their walk. I would recommend her and use her again in the future!”

About: I am a college educated adult male. I live in Point Loma. I work at home and am typically very flexible. I walk my own dog twice daily and figured I could help others out. I have had dogs for 20 years. Currently my family of five has a Aussie Poo named Suzie. She is a lot of energy. So she gets lots walks. Our last dog lived 13 years so I know how to manage elderly dogs. Let me know if you need help. I work at home and am around most days to be able to work with your schedule. I have a professional career and thought doing some dog walking or sitting would get me out of the house. Looking forward to helping others out. I would like to offer my services for your pup as you need. I would prefer to watch them and care from them outside of my own home. But I am also flexible.
“Emily J. filled in at the last minute for my weekly Saturday afternoon walk. She is very friendly, and my dog liked her instantly. She is on time and professional. I would definitely recommend her as a walker.”

About: I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. I grew up with a golden retriever named Moonie, who we adopted from the San Diego Humane Society. He was my beach buddy and loved our walks at Fiesta Island. He’ll always have a special place in my heart. 💛 After he passed, I adopted my sweet cat Chubbs 🐾 I’ve also volunteered at the Butte Humane Society, where I cared for and played with senior cats, it taught me patience, gentle handling, and how to read each cat’s unique personality. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my day. My availability is pretty open, and I’m happy to adjust to your schedule and your pet’s specific needs to make sure they’re comfortable and cared for. 🐾 At home, I care for my cat Chubbs by keeping a consistent routine — daily playtime, regular feeding, and making sure his litter box is always clean. He also enjoys supervised outdoor time, so I’m very mindful about keeping a close eye on him whenever he’s outside. I bring that same level of attention and care to every cat I watch. Whether your cat is strictly indoors or enjoys some outdoor time, I’ll follow your preferences closely to keep them safe, happy, and comfortable.
About: Hi, I’m Emma! I’m a proud Aussie mom to Calcifer, who I’ve raised on my own since he was just eight weeks old. That experience gave me a deep understanding of puppies under one year—and a lot of patience for reactive or high-energy dogs. So if your pup’s a little wild, no worries here. I bring a calm, grounded energy that helps them settle while you’re away. I offer drop-ins and walks—whatever helps your dog feel safe, seen, and happy until you’re home. Think of me as their new favorite “Auntie Em,” who spoils them just enough. Animals have been part of my life since childhood. I’ve cared for everything from playful puppies and curious kittens to senior pets needing extra love and patience. With over 18 years of hands-on experience, I know every pet has their own personality and unique needs—and I treat each one like family. My goal is simple: to make sure your pets feel secure, loved, and happy while you’re away. Pet care is naturally woven into my daily and weekly routine because animals have always been part of my life. From afternoon walks and playtime to evening cuddles, I enjoy making space each day to meet their needs with love and consistency. Whether it’s feeding, walking, basic training, or just providing company, I prioritize creating a safe, happy rhythm for pets that blends seamlessly into my lifestyle. In my home, pets are treated like family with plenty of space for play, rest, and cuddles. I maintain their regular feeding schedules, provide enrichment, and ensure a safe, clean environment. In a client’s home, I respect their routines and preferences—whether it’s feeding, playing or cozy snuggle time—so pets feel secure, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
About: Veteran who is an avid rescuer of both cats and dogs. I have been rehabilitating rescued dogs for 12 years and I have had a cat my entire life. I currently volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society as part of their dog team. I specialize in dealing with timid dogs (My own dogs have been from a rescue with behavioral waivers) and helping dogs learn basic obedience procedures (sit, stay, heal, law down) while walking. My passion is helping animals feel safe. On week days, I am available after 5pm and I am available all weekend. I enjoy giving dogs the amount of exercise and stimulation needed to help alleviate stress, loneliness and anxiety. Furthermore, I am more than qualified to clean litter boxes, feed your animals and provide a safe and reliable person within your home. Now that I have returned to office full time, I am not longer unavailable for mid day walks, but I do still welcome the opportunity to walk/feed your pets in my non work hours. I have experience taking care of your animals in your home where there is minimal interruption in their daily routine, no matter how many special instructions need to be followed.
About: I've grown up with dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, tarantulas, frogs, and turtles as pets. With over 20 years of pet-sitting experience, my services were mostly sought by family and friends. I've always been the go-to person in my family for pet care needs. I've house-sat my parents' two dogs numerous times, including a continuous four-month period while they traveled across the country in their RV. I regularly board one of my sister's cats when she's away for work and also take care of my other sister's dog, providing both walking and boarding services when she travels. I am a high school math teacher. So, I’m off during the summer. That gives me lots of free time where I can care for your pets. I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house, about 1200 square feet. My backyard is gated and has grass for pets to play on.
About: I take care of your babies like my own! I have taken care of dogs for 8 years now. I have trained a 4 month year old gray lab and another 5 month old black lab. I have pet sat a cat for my neighbors and looked after/walked couple other dogs in the neighborhood. I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets. I’m pretty flexible with my schedule! So can be any time of the day. You let me know what works for you best and I’ll be thereᵕ̈ I always make sure to spend time getting to know the pet and play around, most of them are anxious and sad that their owner is not there so I try my best to keep them occupied and well taken care of.
Midtown District dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mackenzie took amazing care of our sweet Abby! She was professional and responsive. Prior to the weekend, she came over to meet our pup. She also offered to feed her in addition to the walks. Thank you Mackenzie for allowing us to enjoy our time away knowing Abby was in good hands!

Jarrod is fantastic! He checked on our cat and dog. It was a relief to have someone who could manage both of their needs, including medicine for my cat. He communicated with so much detail the entire weekend. My pets can get a little anxious when we’re away, but they were so calm when I returned, which showed me the great care and attention they received!

Love Rachel! And I know my doggos do too. She made me feel so comfortable knowing my dogs would be in such good hands. She’s very communicative and gives lots of details. I definitely will be using her again in the future for future walks and sitting. 10/10 recommend !

Nicholas was incredible to work with. Extremely professional and flexible, which made everything easy from the start. I genuinely felt like Lou was being cared for by a friend or family member, but with the added confidence and reliability of a true professional. That balance is so hard to find. 10/10 recommend without hesitation.
