About: I’ve taken care of a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and ferrets. I am familiar with medically complex pets and have experience administering medicine. I’m working part time so have plenty of time for your pets! Let me know whether you prefer weekend or weekday check-ins - I can also provide daily housesitting or check-ins as needed. I can easily crate dogs, can de-escalate animal encounters, have experience in animal enrichment and playtime, and am very diligent with medications and feedings.

About: What sets me apart as a pet caregiver is my lifelong experience caring for and rehabilitating animals. I've been surrounded by animals my entire life, providing care for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention. Beyond basic care, I understand animal behavior, allowing me to create a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet. I’m patient, attentive, and truly passionate about animals, ensuring they receive not just care, but affection and love Taking care of pets is a natural part of my everyday routine since I have always been surrounded by different types of animals my entire life. I have cared for pets both in my home and in their owners', ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. When caring for pets at my home, I create a calm and secure environment, following their usual routine as best as I can. I provide regular feeding, playtime, exercise, and any necessary special care as well if I'm at the owners' house. I treat every pet as if they were my own.

About: I've had dogs since I was young and have trained all of them personally. I have a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in marine science (focusing on animal behavior). I have experience dog sitting for various breeds and sizes. I'm passionate about giving dogs the best life they can have, with lots of love and positive reinforcement. I love being outside, so I will give your pet plenty of time outside to stretch their legs and get some fresh air! My soul-dog Kano passed in December so I have extra love to give to other animals now. I work mostly remotely and may have to leave for a few hours at a time once in a while, but I can generally give your pet a lot of time and attention with flexible hours. I will make sure to strictly follow any house rules and existing training goals while in the home. Safety and consistency are always a priority.

About: My approach to pet sitting is based upon knowledge, compassion, communication and trust. This sets a peaceful tone for both the pet and their owner. I'm a member of PSI (Pet Sitters International) and have taken many courses including dog body language, pet sitting essentials and pet first aid. I have a Pet CPR Certificate from the American Red Cross as well. I enjoy pet sitting in the clients home where I can create a customized approach to caring for the needs of their pet and their owner. I also excel at dog walking. When walking your dog, I pay close attention to how they're interacting with the environment and always keep their health and safety as a priority. I look forward to working with you and your beloved pet! I am available 7 days a week 7am-8pm with over-nights being an option as well. I'm happy to work with you on finding the right schedule for the both of us. When caring for a pet in the client's home, I first learn the habits of the pet from the owner. This includes: their feeding schedule, medications needed, hiding places, their behavior toward people and other animals, potty habits etc. From there I create an environment of comfort for the pet making sure they are played with, fed, walked and rested. During this time, I stay in contact with the owner and update them with notes and photos of their pet.

About: Safe, clean, and loving space! As the granddaughter of a veterinarian, I've grown up around dogs my whole life, and I dog sat for friends back in Alaska before moving to San Diego. I have a 10 month old wirehaired pointer, Charlie, and I've done all of his training myself. Charlie and I live a very active life, with a solid daily routine that keeps us both happy, balanced, and well exercised. I believe the key to a well behaved dog is a fulfilled dog, especially with working and high energy breeds. Charlie gets out several times a day for exercise and mental stimulation, and I'd love to welcome your dog into our routine. I work from home, so your dog is never left alone for long stretches. I attend graduate classes a couple of days each week, and on those days I come home midday to check in, feed, and give pups a potty break and some play before heading back out. Most days I'm home with Charlie, so your dog gets a consistent routine, plenty of attention, and lots of time outside. I live in an apartment within walking distance of grassy areas and fenced dog parks, so potty breaks and short outings are easy. For longer adventures, Charlie and I regularly drive to Fiesta Island or Grape Street Park for off-leash play and exercise. If you and your dog don't go to dog parks- not a problem at all! I have a few areas close to my home that we go for laid back sniff walks. I believe the best boardings start with a meet-and-greet. Before any official booking, I'd love for you, your dog, Charlie, and me to meet so we can make sure the dogs coexist well and respect each other's boundaries. Charlie has great social skills and no signs of reactivity, and he recently shared his home with a senior dog this summer. Protecting his safe space is important to me, because it helps me keep our home a calm, comfortable environment for your pet too. Charlie is high energy and plays best with dogs his size or smaller, so I'm happy to talk through whether we're a good match for your dog. He is currently intact and will be neutered once he reaches the recommended age in a few months.
