There are lots of grassy areas nearby, and Balboa park is a 8 minute walk from me so there’s plenty of room for your dog to walk around! I work from home every day except Wednesdays so I can board your dog majority of the week! I live with my partner and we have a 2 bedroom place, so it is the perfect spot for your pup to hang out and will be getting lots of love and attention! I also have availability on weekends and try to keep my status updated as much as possible! If I’m in your home, I make sure everything stays clean, cozy, and familiar for your pet. I follow feeding and walk schedules closely, give them lots of love and attention, and send photo updates so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. For walks or drop-ins, I make sure they get plenty of fresh air, sniff time, and play — whatever makes them happiest. My goal is always to make your pet feel loved and cared for, and for you to feel totally at ease knowing they’re in good hands. My apartment is close to Balboa Park so I can take them on lots of walks nearby!

About: I am a 30 year old artist living in Hillcrest. I was raised with big dogs in the house and have always been able to communicate well with dogs. Big or small they tend to love me just the same. In the past 5 years I have come to know and learn a lot more about cats and I’ve really grown to love them as well! I honestly just love all animals. I always strive to keep your fur babies comfortable and happy in the space! I am willing to be active with them and always open to some snuggles! Whatever your pup/cat needs, I'm willing to adapt! I am a fun loving personality and am willing to be flexible with my schedule. I am very responsible and people have trusted me with their pets and their children as well! In any situation, I try to be responsive and adapt in the best way possible! I am able to uphold what ever training you have been working on with your pup while you are gone and do my best to discipline them just as you might while also showing praise and love for their obedience! I am mostly available weekdays. The mornings I am most often available for walks. Any house sitting requests I am super open to! I appreciate requests atleast 24 hours in advance so I can plan ahead. I can't have pets in my home because pets aren’t allowed at my new apartment. However, when it comes to house sitting, I have years of experience. I am happy to help with pets, plants, or basic house hold needs while I'm there. You can trust that I will respect your space and help keep an eye on your home while you're away.

About: I have been taking care of my dog for the past three years and became an assistant dog trainer after four months of having my puppy. I was raised with dogs and always grew up with 2 dogs in the household. When I was 16 I got my first dog of my own. He is a Labrador pitbull mix. I have had a strict training schedule with him since I got him at 4 months and when a local dog training company saw my videos from a friend they hired me as an assistant dog trainer. I worked with that company for 10 months before leaving for college. From working at that company I learned how to handle all types of dogs from varying breads to extremely submissive to very reactive dogs. I learned how to correctly train basic obedience from walking in a heal, to coming when called. I have also been trained and actively use prong collars and e collars on my dog. I have experience handling many behaviors in dogs and feel confident keeping your pup safe on walks or check in throughout the day! I am also available to do training with your dog on walks or check in's to teach them how to walk in a heal and learn basic obedience. With my personal dog we worked through reactivity towards bicycles and a very overexcitement towards other dogs. He can now walk past any obstacle I give him without having a care in the world. When I take care of your pet they will be a part of my family and any safety rules I have with my dog I will have with yours. I typically do not allow any dogs on leash to "say hi" to one another or allow your dog to "say hi" to anybody on walks. I also do not let any dogs off leash anywhere but I do have a 15 foot long leash that I can put them on to let them run around. While your pet is with me we will go on long walks, hikes, and have "sniffaries" around the neighborhood. Please contact me if you have any questions! I am a dog trainer and sitter full time so I am home most of the day. Occasionally I am gone for up to an hour and a half at a time for errands, or training sessions but am never gone for more than 4 hours at a time which is my dogs max alone time. But let me know your dogs ability to be alone and I am more than willing to accommodate their needs. When I go to your house for check in's or walks, I will make sure they have enough water, and food if needed, and immediately take them outside to use the bathroom. If we are going on walks I will confirm the leash and collar are secure and double check they are attached correctly before leaving the house. When leaving the house I do not let your pet run out the door, I make them sit and wait until im ready and im sure there is nothing outside that we are not prepared for, before starting our walk. During our walk I make sure to watch where we are walking to ensure there is no hazards that could be stepped on, and stay vigilant to watch for anybody else with dogs. I always cross the street or give plenty of room when I see another dog approaching so there is no issue with the dogs passing. When I get back to your house I will replenish any water that was drunk and give lots of love before leaving your pup. I will also tripped check any doors or gates are securely fastened before leaving the premisses.
