About: I've been surrounded by animals my whole life by dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, and at 40+ years in, my love for them has only grown. I've pet sat for many households and have a natural ability to handle all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I'm a verified member of Trusted House Sitters (in which the primary is pet sitting), and I take that seriously. I'm experienced with medically complex pets. I've administered subcutaneous fluids, insulin injections, and oral medications. I also have cared for special needs animals including a three-legged seizure-prone Chihuahua, a teacup Chihuahua with broken elbows, and a German Shepherd with cow-hocks disease. If your pet has extra needs, they're in capable hands. My approach is calm, grounded, and playful and animals feel it. I'm a certified hypnotherapist and life coach, and the same energy awareness and patience I bring to people, I bring to pets. Anxious, shy, and difficult animals tend to soften around me naturally. My sister didn't call me the Cat and Dog Whisperer for nothing. :D I have a soft spot for the ones others overlook. I've rescued an abandoned Chihuahua-Terrier, adopted a shelter pup, and my two boys Bruce and Charlie came to me as feral kittens nobody else wanted. Every animal deserves patience, consistency, and genuine love and that's exactly what I bring to every walk and drop-in. I'm a San Diego local with regular availability in LA County as well, so wherever you are, I've got you covered. My schedule is flexible and I'm available most weekdays and select weekends, morning through evening. I don't operate on a rigid 9-to-5, which means I can work around your pet's needs rather than the other way around. Outside of pet care, I'm an active, outdoorsy person and love hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. That energy carries directly into every walk and drop-in. Your dog won't just get a stroll around the block, they'll get someone who genuinely loves being outside and moving. Your pet's safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities always. I follow your established routines closely and take detailed instructions seriously. Every home, every pet, and every owner is different, and I respect that. When I'm in your home I treat it with care. I leave things as clean or cleaner than I found them. Your space and your pet's environment will be respected. I'm extremely mindful of doors and escape artists. I know how quickly a curious pet can bolt, and I create my own blockades when needed to make sure no one slips out unexpectedly. I'm comfortable walking multiple dogs simultaneously including large, high-energy breeds. I've walked a Rottweiler and German Shepherd together, both with strong pulling tendencies, and handled them with confidence. You'll never wonder how your pet is doing. I send photos and updates daily including sometimes multiple times a day because I know how much you miss them and how much it means to see a happy face pop up on your phone. I also have hands-on experience with pet first aid, including applying Quik Stop for bleeding so minor mishaps are handled calmly and quickly without panic. Your home, your routines, your pet I've got all of it handled.
“Mihaela was great! Helped me out with a walk for Maui on pretty short notice and she took lots of pictures and a video and gave a really nice detailed report after the walk 🥰 would absolutely use her again!”

About: Whether your dog needs a brisk, high-energy walk or a long, sniffing adventure hiking through the trails, I am ready to keep them moving and happy. Because I love the outdoors, I am more than happy to walk in all weather conditions! I am very comfortable with larger breeds and pups that have a lot of puppy energy to burn off. I am new to the Rover platform, but I have years of experience of providing private pet care and dog walking for friends and family! Safety is always my top priority when I am out with your pet. When we go for a walk, your dog will have my full, undivided attention! I always follow your specific leash rules, safety commands, and route preferences to ensure a smooth, worry-free trip! I have a flexible schedule and would love to build a regular routine with your pup! Let's connect to chat about your dogs personality, favorite walks/hikes and how I can help them get the perfect outdoor workout! I am currently new to the area so I am pretty flexible before 3pm! I am an early riser and a morning person, so earlier in the day is great for me! I am strong and athletic so I can care for dogs of all sizes. I like to communicate with my clients on their dogs current state of training so I can help to continue that, how they interact with other dogs, leash training, can they go in the car if they like to hike, and what their dogs enjoy the most- whether it be a dog park, a hike, or just a walk through the neighborhood! I give my undivided attention so I am not wearing headphones or using my phone.
“I have a 155lb Great Dane and I am very weary of letting just anyone walk him because of his size and strength. Caity might not be big, but she’s mighty! The first walk I got cute pictures and updates, and when she showed up for the second walk it was like I no longer existed and it was the Oceyn and Caity show! That made me feel good that he has a good time with her. I’m pregnant and on bed rest so I can’t walk him myself… but even when I can walk him again I still plan to keep Caity around 😊”

“What a great experience! This was my first time hiring someone to walk my dog and it was nothing but positive. My dog was so thrilled to see her every morning for her walk. Audrey was on time every time and was excellent with my girl. You can tell that she loves animals! I highly recommend Audrey and won't hesitate to call her again.”

“Isabella was very attentive to all my concerns and details. She handled my strong / energetic dog with ease and made the process super easy (I’m a first timer here). Looking forward to working with her in the long run!”

About: I have had a family dog my whole life. My current pup is a 2year old mini goldendoodle that is about 25lbs. He is high energy and loves play time, long walks and going to the dog park. I work remote full time so I am home with my dog the majority of my day. Any pet in my care would get the same treatment as my own. Multiple walks, a trip to the park and of course regular feedings. My pet is free to roam my apartment, I have a balcony that he also has free access to during the day. I keep the door open for him.
About: I work well with all Pets! I will do my best to work around your schedule. I love to keep parents updated and send pictures of their babies. I understand all animals have their own boundaries and I will do my best to respect said boundaries! I’m currently on active duty, I live very close to base so it’s easy for me to leave work when needed. I’m fully available weekdays and weekends! I have a fenced balcony and dog park in my neighborhood! Can accommodate to all families! Everything in my home is always put away and clean! I do like to do meet and greets so families can feel more come as well.
“She did an amazing job watching Ace! She was reliable, caring, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. I felt completely at ease leaving my dog with her, and Ace seemed happy and comfortable when I picked him up. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!”
About: Hi, all! My name is Grace. I have been taking care and walking dogs my whole life, I but entered the professional pet care industry about 10 years ago. I love taking care of dogs and other animals from all walks of life, as I believe all living things should have the best quality of life that they possibly can. I have also been an athlete for over two decades, and cannot wait to have fun getting active with your animals. I offer jogging/running for the more athletic pups, and a more leisurely stroll for the dogs that like to take life a bit slower, as well as dog-sitting and drop-ins for all animals in between. I can't wait to meet you and your fluffy friends! I work part time in the afternoons and evenings, so I able to take your pets out for a fun activity in the mornings and afternoons until 2pm. I look forward to building a relationship with your furry friends! I do not offer in-home care as I live with roommates and a strictly human-friendly cat, but I love to extend my hospitality to the setting where your pet is most comfortable, their own home. I am pleased to offer safe and fun care while I am in your home, with lots of activity or snuggles depending on the energy levels.

About: I'm the proud parent of a 5y/o high-energy labradoodle (Lenny), and our routine of three walks every day means I understand exactly what dogs need to feel calm, stimulated, and happy. I know how to read a dog's energy, when to up the pace, when to slow down and let them sniff, and when they just need to decompress at their own pace. Before getting my own dog, I spent months researching dog behavior, needs, and communication. I've also worked with a professional dog trainer to understand how to lead a dog confidently and calmly, skills I bring to every walk! Over the years, I've cared for a variety of different dogs for friends, neighbors, and coworkers, so I know how to adapt to different personalities, sizes, and temperaments. I'm a big lover of sniff-friendly walks. Research shows that letting dogs sniff and explore is one of the most powerful ways to lower their stress and keep them mentally healthy, so I always make space for that, whatever the pace of the walk. :) Whether your fur baby thrives on a brisk, energetic walk or prefers a leisurely neighborhood stroll, I'll match their needs and yours. I'm happy to discuss your dog's pace, preferred routes, and any training cues before we get started. Fresh air and walks are a big highlight of my day! I'm happy to be flexible based on the time of day and length of walk your pup needs..I already walk my own dog three times a day, so adding walks for your pup fits naturally into my routine. I keep my schedule intentional, I won't overbook, so your dog always gets my full attention. Your dog's safety is my first priority. I've worked with a trainer to understand leash handling, body language cues, and how to respond calmly in unexpected situations. I always use secure equipment and won't walk more than one unfamiliar dog at a time without discussing it with you first. I treat every dog like a family member. I'm consistent, communicative, and genuinely invested in your dog's wellbeing and happiness!
About: Caring for my own dogs since they were puppies has shaped my love for animals. This personal journey has taught me patience, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for every pet I care for. I’m currently an early development teacher with infants to preschool, and I’m excited to gain a different kind of experience as a puppy/dog sitter and walker. I’m available Saturday to Sunday; however, I’m also flexible, so please let me know a week ahead of time. By getting to know the pet’s preferences based on their behavior, I see if they’re comfortable playing or interacting with other pets or people, because a safe environment is a happy pet. I provide care exclusively in the pet’s own home to keep them in a familiar environment. I ensure a safe space by following owners’ routines, securing the yard, and adapting based on the pet’s comfort.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid and have hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve owned and cared for Dalmatians, Pit Bulls, Chihuahuas, German Shepherds, Pomeranians, and Doberman Pinschers, so I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy working dogs to small companion breeds. I understand daily routines, exercise needs, feeding schedules, and basic behavior cues. I’ve also cared for family members’ cats, including feeding, litter care, and providing attention and enrichment. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize safety, structure, and affection. As a U.S. Air Force veteran and full-time engineering student, discipline and dependability are built into everything I do — including how I care for your pets. I’m available all day Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with limited availability on Tuesday and Thursday mornings due to class (7:55 AM–12:45 PM). My days start at 5–6 AM, so your pets get an energetic, attentive caregiver from the moment the day begins — flexible, dependable, and genuinely invested in their well-being. I prioritize your pets’ safety and comfort at all times. I maintain a clean, secure, and calm environment and make sure pets feel happy and cared for. I communicate clearly with owners by phone and love sending updates and photos so you always know your pets are safe and enjoying their day.
About: I recently graduated from New Mexico State University and moved to San Diego. I have been a pet sitter/walker for about 5 years for friends and friends of friends in my community, as well as taking care of my own for 15 years. I have one sweet chihuahua and a torti cat! I have experience walking different dogs as I volunteered for dog walking for Petsmart and Petco when they have adoptions. I am responsible, kind-hearted, and compassionate for animals. While in my care, I will always ensure the safety of your pets as if they were my own. This is currently my only job so I am able to be with your pets as often or as long as needed! I know some pets may require more attention than others and can work with their schedule. I will treat your pet just like I do mine. Plenty of attention, make sure they have food, plenty of water, and any other special things they like during the day

About: Ever since I was a teenager my family and friends have relied on me to take care of their animals. Everyone knows they are safe while they’re gone. While most of my friends are focused on marriage/having kids, I am more focused on spending time with animals😂 I’m currently taking real estate appraisal courses so my schedule is very flexible! Right now, I’m taking online courses for my profession. In between classes I would like to take breaks by taking care of animals. It’s both a stress reliever and something I love to do. I keep an eye out for any safety concerns or measures that need to take place to ensure the safety of your animals. Safety is key!
About: I’ve always had both dogs and cats throughout life. With two dogs and a cat of my own, I am well trained in taking care of pets needs. I have experience with puppies and dogs with special medical needs. I also have experience with special needs diets and administering medication. I am working full-time from home. I go into the office for a bit on Tuesdays, but live near the office so I am able to come home and take dogs out on my lunch break. I have two dogs that I take to our dog park about every 3-4 hours and have a safe balcony for dogs to enjoy sunbathing while I’m working. I have a dog park that we go to several times a day. I have two dogs both Havanese/Maltese mix who are used to other dogs in our home and a Maine Coon cat that gets along well with other dogs. Pets are welcome on all the furniture and the bed so it’s appreciated if they get a bath prior to boarding. I’m happy to kennel your dog if that is what you prefer as well.
About: I have taken care of animals since a young age, including horses, pigs, sheep, and chickens, but most importantly— dogs and cats!! I have experience watching my families own dogs from puppies to seniors as well as house sitting for my neighbors who have had up to three dogs and two cats at a time. I am also experienced in house sitting and have watched and cared for many neighbors, friends and families homes over the years. I am currently a graduate student so my schedule is very flexible and while pet sitting I would only be gone for up to two hours at a time, twice a day. I can work from home most of the time and am available most weeks and weekends. I am currently only available for house sitting as my home does not allow animals. I love all dogs and cats I meet, I am comfortable staying alone with the furry friends at your home for up to two weeks at a time.
About: I have had a dog since I was born and I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life. I have worked as a dog walker/dog sitter since I was a little kid. My last dog client I have worked with everyday for the past four years, he is moving with his parents to their new station. I have experience with puppies as young as 4 months all the way to senior dogs with hip weaknesses with therapy sessions and kidney problems that require special diets. I am graduating with my masters in nursing. My schedule is consistent but flexible with days or times your pup needs me. My past experiences have prepared me for last minute schedule changes and even quick a quick pop-by. I try to keep schedules as normal as possible for clients. I verify walking/sitting schedules with my clients frequently and notify them right away if there is a schedule conflict or if I may be running early or late. I understand some pets don't love the rain and will not go out, if that is the case I'll sit with them and comfort them. I usually contact my clients with a picture or just a thumbs up that their pet had a good walk and is doing well and are back home playing or napping.
“Lu was amazing! Extremely communicative, reliable, and sweet to my mini Aussie! She even went as far to suggest a harness for him to make walking easier on me/helping with pulling on the leash. She was always on time, sent adorable photos, and was overall a joy to work with. I will definitely book her in the future!”

Highly recommend Charlotte! She was reliable, friendly, and took great care of our dog Izzy during her walk. Izzy loved the extra playtime with her after the walk too! I felt confident Izzy was well cared for during her visit with Charlotte and we will definitely be using her again in the future!!

She did an amazing job watching Ace! She was reliable, caring, and made sure he was comfortable and well taken care of the entire time. I felt completely at ease leaving my dog with her, and Ace seemed happy and comfortable when I picked him up. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!
Audrey is great with our two dogs, even with one of them being dog reactive. She is able to redirect and continue the walk with little effort. I also appreciate her excellent feedback and quick responses. I would highly recommend Audrey for any of your pet’s need's!

“Ginny”, who actually goes by Frankie, was the best with my dog! Her customer service is awesome, my dog loves her, and he can’t wait to see her again. Frankie is responsible, safe, really kind, and great with animals! I’m so grateful and we’ll definitely be using Frankie (Ginny) from here on out!

Caity was absolutely wonderful with Louie! She was so attentive and kept us updated on his itchy paws and sensitive tummy. She even went out of her way to apply his paw mousse and found ways to keep him happy and entertained on those super hot days. I really trusted her with Louie and felt so comfortable knowing he was in great hands. Would definitely recommend Caity and will absolutely book her again!

Zere is a wonderful dog walker who is prompt, courteous and definitely loves our little cinnamon. She follows our directions very well because cinnamon is diabetic and needs special attention. She truly is one of the best dog walkers we have ever hired. Cinnamon waits for her and gets so excited when she appears at the door. It is so great to see our little dog so happy to go for a walk.
We booked Leilani for a last minute one-hour dog walk, due to needing a dog-free environment for an in home appointment. Leilani was quick to respond and came right over to give our precious puppy a much needed walk. We highly recommend her and would use her again. Thank you!
