“I booked Kat to walk my dog for the week while I was out of town. My dog has extremely high energy, and can sometimes too much for some people. Kat was amazing with him though, and I could tell he responded well to her. She knew when he needed to get more energy out and ran with him, handled him when he got too excited, and was patient in his moments of overwhelming excitement. I will 100% book Kat again in the future when I need someone to care for my dog.”

About: Hi! My name is Elsy, and animals have always been a big part of my life. I truly believe that pets are family, they fill our hearts with unconditional love and joy. I had my sweet Schnauzer, Tito, for 15 beautiful years. He was my best friend and brought so much happiness to my life. Losing him was hard, but his love inspired me to keep sharing that same care and affection with other pets who deserve to feel safe, happy, and loved. I grew up in a family that always had dogs, so I’ve cared for many breeds German Shepherds, Chihuahuas, Schnauzers, and French Poodles. Each one has their own personality, and I love understanding what makes them special whether they’re playful, shy, curious, or cuddly. I’m bilingual (English & Spanish), kind, patient, and responsible. I will treat your furry friend with the same love and respect I gave to my own. I’m here to help you take care of your pet with heart, trust, and devotion. 🐶🐱 Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent attention, walks, and feeding at the times your pet is used to. I plan my day around each pet’s individual needs to ensure they receive reliable, loving, and responsible care. I speak English and Spanish, and I'm available immediately." That sounds like a wonderful and dog-friendly community! Having green areas for walks and an open patio in your apartment is great for your pet's well-being. Is a park near for play time. They'll likely enjoy the outdoor spaces and feel less confined.
“Susanne has done a great job with Rex and Riley. Rex always gets nervous with new people but she handled our big boy well, so calm and non threatening. We’ve booked her multiple times already and will continue to do so! 🤗”

“Harper did so well on her outing! She's not around kids normally and with Cristen's care she was awesome. Harper adores Cristen and listens attentively to her. Dakota is always a great dog to everyone and both loved the hike and Cristen. They always feel safe with her.”

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my depth of hands-on experience and genuine commitment to animal well-being. I have over 15 years of animal care experience, including pet and house sitting, as well as volunteering with rescues and shelters where I’ve assisted with grooming, walking, and daycare. I currently volunteer with the San Diego Humane Society on the dog team, where I handle dog walking, playtime enrichment, and essential care tasks like laundry and kennel cleaning. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs—from energetic puppies who benefit from basic training and structure, to senior dogs who require patience, gentle handling, and attentive care. My background has taught me how to read animal behavior, build trust quickly, and create a safe, calm environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work a hybrid job where the majority of my week I am working from home. I have a very flexible schedule and have availability to make time for your pet at any time on Sundays through Tuesdays and Fridays through Saturdays. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I follow all feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide, whether that includes administering medications, reinforcing training, or accommodating special diets. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection so they don’t feel stressed or lonely. For walks, I prioritize safety, structure, and engagement. I’m experienced handling dogs with different energy levels and temperaments, and I tailor each walk to their needs. I practice good leash handling, stay aware of surroundings, and reinforce positive behaviors during walks. In addition to pet care, I respect your home by keeping things clean and tidy. My background in shelter work means I’m very comfortable with cleaning tasks, monitoring pet health and behavior, and responding calmly to unexpected situations. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so both you and your pet feel at ease.
About: Ever since I was a little kid I had a family dog that I took care of. I walked him everyday through every age. I have also helped my neighbors and friends with their dogs making me very comfortable around them. I have taken care of dogs of a lot of sizes and energy levels making me able to handle the whole lot of dogs out there. I am also very comfortable with cats, as I have had them through my whole life along with cats in my neighborhood. I also have a reliable form of transportation so I will be able to make it to everyone’s homes without problem to make sure everyone’s fur baby’s are taken care of. I am currently a senior high school student-athlete, but I am available for evenings, weekends, and random days off throughout the year. I’m hoping to be able to work long weeks when I am on various breaks in the year. I am also hopefully able to save for college though this community! When I am at pet parents houses I make sure that their fur babies are the most comfortable they can be. It is their home so I make sure to do their routine as it normally goes when there is no sitter around.

About: House with AC and heat! Blasting it all day long for these fur babies!!! I grew up with dogs! I raised my fur baby since she was 8 weeks old and she almost 6 years old now. I also have watched many of my friends and neighbors dogs while they are gone for a few nights up to a week. I fostered two puppies (separately) last year, and may foster again soon! I work from home and have the flexibility to build my day. I spend a lot of the day on the couch (in the AC or heat) to be near Cocoa. I get an hour for lunch so I tend to take Cocoa out to play if the weather permits. I also have a fenced back yard and spend a lot of time out there with the pups. I do go to the gym almost daily and sometimes go into the office to meet clients for a few hours. It’s best if your dog can be crated or left alone in a seperate room without anxiety or accidents. I have a fenced in yard as well as baby gates in the house to keep the dogs out of areas they shouldn’t including by the front door. I live in a nice community with clean grassy areas for dogs to sniff and potty.

About: I have worked with up to 30 dogs in one room alone and I also have taken care of a lot of dogs, going on frequent walks, feeding, cleaning up poop, it all! I also am very familiar with markers of a possible illness, so I can accommodate that as seen fit. I am currently unemployed and not in school, and my only obligation is for one hour a week, so I can essentially work anytime anywhere! I love playing with dogs/cats so you can trust that I will keep them entertained, if that's what you wish, and I always like to go above and beyond in anyway I can!

Tierrasanta dog parents share their Rover experiences
Miranda has been absolutely amazing with my young Australian Shepherd, who has LOTS of energy. She’s incredibly patient, consistent, and really understands how to work with him in a way that keeps him calm and engaged. She’s also been such a huge help with short notice requests and a flexible schedule, which I truly appreciate. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Highly recommend!

Tyler was incredible with our active, anxious pup, Penny! He was so patient with her and even helped with leash training along the way. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos. He was quick to respond, easy to communicate with, and even added an extra day when we extended our trip. Total peace of mind and such a great experience… we’d absolutely book with him again!

Mary did a great job walking my girls. I had a friend cancel last minute and she agreed to walk them with very short notice. I appreciated the photos she sent of them. She also helped with feeding them and putting on a tv show before leaving! Will be requesting her in the future.

We’re so happy we found Kaylea! Being new to the area, we were pretty nervous about finding someone to walk and watch our dog, Mazie, since she’s usually very shy around new people. But Kaylea did an amazing job helping Mazie feel comfortable. It normally takes several visits before Mazie warms up to anyone, but Kaylea had her leashed and out for a walk in no time! Communication was clear and easy, and she was punctual and kind. We’ll definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog walker.
