About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I’ve had family members who have owned wolf dogs, giant Alaskan malamute, an incredible other breeds as well. And I have some experience being around all sorts of animals. There is an off leash park by my house, which I often frequent by myself, and many of the dogs there will gravitate towards me to come say hello, or roll over on their back in front of me, play with me, or just give me some love. It’s a special feeling that I’ve cultivated over the years to put out awesome animal energy that makes them want to say hello or sometimes even be submissive. I love animals and think they all deserve lots of love, care and respect. I’ve never really liked the idea of being either a cat or dog person. I love all animals. Giving them lots of love and affection, comes natural to me, and having taken care of my own cat towards end of life, I’m extremely responsible I own my own business as the top relationship and intimacy coaches in the area. I’m usually up quite early on a morning walk, getting work done or in nature, so I will usually have the flexibility to come see your little ones. At the moment, with my 18-year-old Russian Siberian cat who has special needs, she has the whole house to herself. I do have a backyard that she loves to spend time in, that is completely fenced off from the outside. There’s a possibility of doing some pet sitting in my house eventually but right now it might be a little difficult with a cat in the house. I can, however, come to you, and do some possible food visits, walks, affection, etc.
“Paige was truly wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure Bahia felt loved and comfortable. She was attentive, playful, and clearly cared deeply about my dog. Paige was very professional and kept me consistently updated, which I really appreciated. I’m so grateful for the care she provided and would happily book with her again.”

“Susanne’s updates were very reassuring and thorough each day. She sent great pictures too. We are very grateful to be able to depend on Susanne to take excellent care of our cats when we’re away.”

“Took such good care of our two kitties! Sent plenty of pictures, played with them a bunch, and always kept us up to speed with how they’re doing. Will be having her watch our cats again and would highly recommend!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a kid, first got my own dog a couple of years ago, and started training him. I recently got a puppy to be a service dog for myself and am opting to owner train him with some guidance from a trainer. I more or less am pretty knowledgeable about basic training and am learning more advanced stuff as i go with my puppy. I am a full time student and only take a couple in person classes on mondays and wednesdays and am home the rest of the week! I live in an apartment but theres plenty of grass and bushes around the complex for walks and exploring! My dogs are crate trained but I will not keep them in the crate all day so i require that your dog is comfortable with other dogs
About: I have cared for dogs of various breeds and sizes since my family adopted a lab/golden retriever mix named Sandy when I was 8 years old. I have provided both drop-in and overnight care, paying close attention to each animal’s (and home’s) unique needs and preferences. I am a lifelong animal lover and care for each pet as if it were my own. In addition to caring for my two cats, Obi and Oscar, and working as a public relations consultant, I also work part-time at a spay/neuter clinic and have experience giving oral and injectable medications, subcutaneous fluids, inhalers, and insulin. I have also taken a safe animal handling course through SD Humane Society and am a regular volunteer with Orphan Kitten Club’s foster kittens (and occasional foster puppies). In addition to dogs and cats, my personal pets have included a range of reptiles, fish, and small rodents, and I’m happy to care for any other pets in your home as well. I know for many pet owners, myself included, our pets are our family. I consider it an honor to care for your furry (or scaly) “kids.” I primarily work as a public relations consultant and work remotely. My schedule is flexible aside from Tuesdays and Fridays where I work part-time at a spay/neuter clinic. On those days I’m available before 9 am or after 5:30 pm. I am happy to do early morning visits as needed, as I’m used to working on an east coast schedule (starting at 6 am because it’s 9 am on the east coast.) I will closely follow your pet’s typical schedule and your guidelines for their care (ex://crating, muzzling, free access—whatever is your pet’s norm). I want to make their care as close to what they’d receive when you’re home as possible. I am not able to board pets in my own home.
“Robin is great! She gave Milo his medication, sent pictures, and cuddled with him! Milo acted like we never even left him that’s how well he was taken care of! Will rebook Robin for future care! :)”

About: I am a dog owner myself, so I know how important it is to keep your best friend happy! I worked with a dog rescue organisation in Czech for almost 2 years and gained a lot experience with difficult dogs. Also I grew up around dogs, since I was born we had at least two happy tails in our family. Being around dogs is natural for me and genuinely brings me joy. Im curently a babysitter and I am free whenever my kid is in school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 3pm and from 7:30pm to 11pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays work for later evening from 7pm to 11pm and on weekends I can be more flexible :) I am a living in nanny, so I know how to move around and respect others privacy. I would consider myself a reliable and very trustworthy person since I went through a lot interviews with a childcare agency I am currently working in succesfully for over a year now.

“Merlyn was amazing, she attended to our kitty and went up and beyond to keep him entertained and happy. She is very empathetic and loving and our kitty immediately felt close to her. I am so grateful for her service and will want to work with her again soon! Thank you, Merlyn!”

“We love working with Dinara - my fur-baby enjoys the attention and the play time, and I love getting the sweet pictures and videos and knowing he's safe and happy while I'm away.”

“Caity is a wonderful cat sitter. Kind, patient communicative, and thorough, she took incredible care of our beloved cat, Kuma, over 2 days. She took the time to get to know Kuma and make him comfortable with her presence. She quickly read his moods and needs, and made Kuma's first extended stint alone as easy as possible for both him and us - going well above and beyond what we had hoped. She sent us multiple fantastic photos and a report on how he was doing each visit - very comforting for two first-time cat owners. We'd work with her again in a heartbeat and are so happy to have found Caity!”

“Sharlet took great care of the dogs! She let me book her with short notice and did an excellent job. She stayed longer than necessary just to play with the dogs and give them some love. When I came home they were so happy.”

About: I have over 15 years experience caring for pets of all kinds. I grew up living with large breed dogs in my home and have gained experiencing caring for dogs, cats, and other critters (birds, tortoises, rabbits, ferrets, etc.) all of sizes in my community as a trusted sitter and Humane Society volunteer. I have cared for dogs young and old, puppies who required constant care and seniors with mobility support needs. I am comfortable administering oral or topical medication and bathing dogs upon request and direction. I currently live with a curious 9 year old feline named Luna and am planning for our next four legged friend. Since moving to San Diego from the Bay Area, I’ve missed daily walks with my family’s dog, a Siberian Husky Malamute mix also named Luna, and cherish each opportunity I get to bring that care, joy, structure, and stimulation to a dog’s daily life. Safety, trust, and wellness are my top priorities when engaging with your pet. It is important to me to honor each pet’s unique needs, personality, and boundaries with each meeting. I look forward to being a loving, reliable human in your pet’s life. I have a flexible hybrid work schedule that allows for weekday drop ins and walks. If requesting house sitting during the week, please specify if a constant daytime presence in the home is desired. Trust and reliability are central to my work as a sitter and caregiver. As no two pets or homes are alike, it’s important to me to understand you and your pets’ unique needs and preferences and adapt my care accordingly. I want to keep your pet healthy, happy, and safe, and your home clean and comfortable. I love snapping photos to keep you updated on how your pet is doing throughout our time :)

We appreciated the constant updates, which gave us peace of mind knowing that our two dogs were being well taken care of. About: I’ve had pets all my life! We recently said goodbye to our favorite pup, Cali, who I had for 6 years and loved having rover buds. I pet sit for friends and neighbors and love going on long walks. There is nothing like the company of a furry friend and an excuse to get my steps in :). My philosophy: patience and respecting your pet’s boundaries is important. I aim to match their energy and ensure they’re happy and comfortable. My partner Kevin and I work from home full time and have a flexible schedule to accommodate walks throughout the day and of course play time and snuggle time. This also means there is always someone home to keep our pup guests company. Additionally, I live in a quiet neighborhood great for walks and all the smells on sniffari. Before accepting any new Rover guests, we have a short meet & greet to ensure your pets are comfortable. We currently have a very large yard perfect for sniffing and exploring. The neighborhood is quiet and great for long walks. I also strive to maintain your pup’s regular schedule as closely as possible—so let me know any quirks, routines, triggers to be mindful of. Interaction with other animals can be limited at your request.
Tierrasanta pet parents share their Rover experiences
We have a great experience with Paige doing regular drop-in visits. She’s incredibly quick to respond and very reliable, which gives us so much peace of mind. We love getting updates and photos. We also appreciate all the helpful puppy care tips and vet recommendations—especially as new puppy owners. It’s clear that she genuinely cares and knows what she’s doing. We absolutely recommend her!
Miranda has been amazing with our dogs. She has far exceeded our expectations and the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. She is so understanding with dogs, you can tell she’s had a lot of experience with them. Furthermore, her communication is great and she sends detailed, thorough visit summaries after every visit. We feel so at peace when we are at work knowing our pups are in great hands.

We can’t recommend Caity enough! We were first time Rover users and feel really blessed to have worked with Caity. From the beginning she was very understanding and patient with our questions. She took her time to hear our slightly nervous concerns over our two cats. We have one that required medication and I felt very comfortable knowing Caity had experience. Her reports were very detailed and I appreciated the numerous photos we got after each visit. We plan to use Caity in the future. Thank you for making sure our girls were so well taken care of and respecting our home with an equal amount of care.

Heidi is amazing!! My two kitties are a bit shy but seemed pretty comfortable and happy around Heidi - she sent us many photos and videos of our babies while we were away. She was also super kind and watered my plants <3 I would definitely recommend her! I'll reach out to her again when we need pet sitting for our kitties in the future.
