“Whitney has cared for my two kitties - one of whom needs daily oral medication - numerous times now. I feel so relieved, knowing my babies are in safe and capable hands with her. I had to travel recently for a family memorial service, an already stressful event, and Whitney was able to care for my kitties on fairly short notice, so I was able to be with my family. Whitney definitely has the attentive "mom" energy I want when it comes to my fur-babies. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and find true happiness caring for them. I have experience working at a veterinarian office so feel confident giving medications if necessary. While working as a veterinarian technician I provided dogs walks and pet sitting. A little about me, I left the corporate world to pursue more joy. I love being outside and with four legged friends. I work part-time so my availability is very flexible. I’m currently working part-time early mornings, so I’ll have plenty of flexibility for late morning, afternoon and evening walks. I’m available Monday - Friday and weekends. I believe that safety is number one, keeping your pet family safe and happy will be my number one priority. I’m a believer that communication is key.
“Caity is an awesome sitter!! I knew the moment she met the cats that they liked her and they are pretty picky with people. After that moment we fully trusted her and she continued to affirm our trust! She sent detailed notes and took adorable photos of our kitties. She even gave us some ideas for our boy cats pooping issues. Highly recommend and would book again!!”

“Wendy is EXCELLENT! We have used her a couple of times to come in and walk Bailey while we've been out for a long day. She is so attentive and Bailey loves her! I highly recommend Wendy.”
“Tyler is seriously the best! We’ve been booking with him for a while now and he’s always dependable and eager to help in any way that he can. He always goes above and beyond for us and our pets. His communication skills are amazing. We will always continue to exclusively book with Tyler on Rover! Plus, we will refer all our friends who need a drop in sitter to use his services.”

“Susanne took such good care of my kitty, she’s my child and Susanne really cared for her like I would. It’s nice to trust someone and know that they are loving your cat the same way you would! Thank you Susanne for everything!”

“Hana is *PHENOMENAL* with both cats & dogs. She is super kind, on time & is so willing to help make your furbaby comfortable & happy. She was a godsend for walking our puppy & spending some QT with our cat while we were away. Both of them love her ❤️ Thanks, Hana!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I’ve had family members who have owned wolf dogs, giant Alaskan malamute, an incredible other breeds as well. And I have some experience being around all sorts of animals. There is an off leash park by my house, which I often frequent by myself, and many of the dogs there will gravitate towards me to come say hello, or roll over on their back in front of me, play with me, or just give me some love. It’s a special feeling that I’ve cultivated over the years to put out awesome animal energy that makes them want to say hello or sometimes even be submissive. I love animals and think they all deserve lots of love, care and respect. I’ve never really liked the idea of being either a cat or dog person. I love all animals. Giving them lots of love and affection, comes natural to me, and having taken care of my own cat towards end of life, I’m extremely responsible I own my own business as the top relationship and intimacy coaches in the area. I’m usually up quite early on a morning walk, getting work done or in nature, so I will usually have the flexibility to come see your little ones. At the moment, with my 18-year-old Russian Siberian cat who has special needs, she has the whole house to herself. I do have a backyard that she loves to spend time in, that is completely fenced off from the outside. There’s a possibility of doing some pet sitting in my house eventually but right now it might be a little difficult with a cat in the house. I can, however, come to you, and do some possible food visits, walks, affection, etc.
About: I have over 15 years experience caring for pets of all kinds. I grew up living with large breed dogs in my home and have gained experiencing caring for dogs, cats, and other critters (birds, tortoises, rabbits, ferrets, etc.) all of sizes in my community as a trusted sitter and Humane Society volunteer. I have cared for dogs young and old, puppies who required constant care and seniors with mobility support needs. I am comfortable administering oral or topical medication and bathing dogs upon request and direction. I currently live with a curious 9 year old feline named Luna and am planning for our next four legged friend. Since moving to San Diego from the Bay Area, I’ve missed daily walks with my family’s dog, a Siberian Husky Malamute mix also named Luna, and cherish each opportunity I get to bring that care, joy, structure, and stimulation to a dog’s daily life. Safety, trust, and wellness are my top priorities when engaging with your pet. It is important to me to honor each pet’s unique needs, personality, and boundaries with each meeting. I look forward to being a loving, reliable human in your pet’s life. I have a flexible hybrid work schedule that allows for weekday drop ins and walks. If requesting house sitting during the week, please specify if a constant daytime presence in the home is desired. Trust and reliability are central to my work as a sitter and caregiver. As no two pets or homes are alike, it’s important to me to understand you and your pets’ unique needs and preferences and adapt my care accordingly. I want to keep your pet healthy, happy, and safe, and your home clean and comfortable. I love snapping photos to keep you updated on how your pet is doing throughout our time :)
About: I've taken care of dogs since I was in the middle school. More than 20 years. We used to have a husky, but she passed away in 2021 when she was 16 years old. Now, I will take my friend's dog when they are on vacation. The neighbors are also love dogs and have their own dogs. Also, there is a small glassland close our house. The dogs are welcome to run and play around there. I usually work at home mostly. If in need, I will go to office on Tuesday or Thursday. At home, I will play with the dog when I take a break. And after work I will walk the dog about 1 hour when I take care my friend's dog. The house is been fenced. The dog also can run around at the backyard. I will walk the dog after my work. Usually, the walk will take 1 hour or at least 30 mins. If I have time on the weekend, I may take the dog to the dog park which about 10 mins drive from my place. I can send the photos or viedo everyday if the client in need to see their dogs.
About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my depth of hands-on experience and genuine commitment to animal well-being. I have over 15 years of animal care experience, including pet and house sitting, as well as volunteering with rescues and shelters where I’ve assisted with grooming, walking, and daycare. I currently volunteer with the San Diego Humane Society on the dog team, where I handle dog walking, playtime enrichment, and essential care tasks like laundry and kennel cleaning. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs—from energetic puppies who benefit from basic training and structure, to senior dogs who require patience, gentle handling, and attentive care. My background has taught me how to read animal behavior, build trust quickly, and create a safe, calm environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I work a hybrid job where the majority of my week I am working from home. I have a very flexible schedule and have availability to make time for your pet at any time on Sundays through Tuesdays and Fridays through Saturdays. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I follow all feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific instructions you provide, whether that includes administering medications, reinforcing training, or accommodating special diets. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection so they don’t feel stressed or lonely. For walks, I prioritize safety, structure, and engagement. I’m experienced handling dogs with different energy levels and temperaments, and I tailor each walk to their needs. I practice good leash handling, stay aware of surroundings, and reinforce positive behaviors during walks. In addition to pet care, I respect your home by keeping things clean and tidy. My background in shelter work means I’m very comfortable with cleaning tasks, monitoring pet health and behavior, and responding calmly to unexpected situations. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so both you and your pet feel at ease.
“Zane was absolutely amazing! I felt he went above and beyond for our senior dog and even gave him a nickname that we will forever use! He understood how important it is to give updates with pictures and was very commutative. I 100% recommend booking with Zane.”

About: Hi! My name is Elsy, and animals have always been a big part of my life. I truly believe that pets are family, they fill our hearts with unconditional love and joy. I had my sweet Schnauzer, Tito, for 15 beautiful years. He was my best friend and brought so much happiness to my life. Losing him was hard, but his love inspired me to keep sharing that same care and affection with other pets who deserve to feel safe, happy, and loved. I grew up in a family that always had dogs, so I’ve cared for many breeds German Shepherds, Chihuahuas, Schnauzers, and French Poodles. Each one has their own personality, and I love understanding what makes them special whether they’re playful, shy, curious, or cuddly. I’m bilingual (English & Spanish), kind, patient, and responsible. I will treat your furry friend with the same love and respect I gave to my own. I’m here to help you take care of your pet with heart, trust, and devotion. 🐶🐱 Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent attention, walks, and feeding at the times your pet is used to. I plan my day around each pet’s individual needs to ensure they receive reliable, loving, and responsible care. I speak English and Spanish, and I'm available immediately." That sounds like a wonderful and dog-friendly community! Having green areas for walks and an open patio in your apartment is great for your pet's well-being. Is a park near for play time. They'll likely enjoy the outdoor spaces and feel less confined.

Elisabeth was so incredible! Cannot recommend her enough. She watched our angelic yet clingy Siberian 1.5yr old cat every day for a week for an hour plus. My partner and I were going out of town for the first time since we adopted him and were extremely anxious about leaving him. A friend of ours had recommended Elisabeth, so we interviewed her and she was the obvious choice! Once we left, she was communicative with how Wally was doing and updated us with photos every day. Upon our return, he was happy to see us but it was clear he wasn’t starved for attention! It made us feel even more at ease that he clearly hadn’t been stressed about our absence at all. In a world out there where trusting your little one to someone else (and having them in your home) can be scary and anxiety-producing, you def want someone like Elisabeth taking care of them. Hire her!

Stephanie was so amazing with our dog and cats. She sent lots of pictures and you could tell that they were so happy. Stephanie was very prompt with the times she was supposed to come to our house. It was such a relief knowing the animals were well taken care of.
Lissette is not only the cat whisperer, she also somehow always captures fantastic photos of your babies 😂 The boys love her and she’s always incredibly detailed and attentive. I never have to worry about my kitties when I know she’s checking on them ❤️ it’s such a relief, thank you Lissette!

Miranda is absolutely amazing! Her updates were thoughtful, detailed, and always made us smile. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, safe, and getting plenty of cuddles and playtime while we were away. Thank you, Miranda, for taking such great care of our sweet boy! ❤️

Mari seems so nice! You know when you look at a person & can just tell they’re genuinely a good human-being? That’s how I felt about Mari & what made me feel comfortable choosing a fellow dog-lover who is intuitive, patient & understanding. She had clear communication, was supportive of mine & Maggie’s needs, & followed everything exactly how I requested. Mari did such a great job dealing w/ our 1yr old Labrador who is nervous around strangers. I highly recommend Mari & would love to have her help again in the future. Thanks for being there for us when we needed you!

Tyler is seriously the best! We’ve been booking with him for a while now and he’s always dependable and eager to help in any way that he can. He always goes above and beyond for us and our pets. His communication skills are amazing. We will always continue to exclusively book with Tyler on Rover! Plus, we will refer all our friends who need a drop in sitter to use his services.
