About: I am new to Rover, but not new to dog sitting! As a dog owner for majority of life, I have been without a canine companion for the last couple years after my last dog passed. Due to some newer work travel obligations, I don’t feel confident in owning a dog at the moment, so getting a quality fix while caring for other families’ doggos! Young puppies to senior dogs, I have had them all. From a 30-lb Shepard/chow/hound mix (Lucy) to a 100-lb chocolate lab (Belle) and a few in between (Irish setter, lab mix), I have had solo dogs and multiple dogs in the household at once. I am an active person who will hike / run / walk as each dog is interested or able to. For overnights, my house is a small two-story home. I have a fully fenced yard area, too compact an area for a dog to get up to full speed, but definitely large enough to accommodate a quality case of the zoomies. For drop-ins and pet walks, I am punctual, thorough, and a happy walker. And willing to jog with dogs who benefit from the extra cardio… I work full-time with a large degree of flexibility. Partially remote, partially in office on no “fixed” schedule. If I am booked, I am committed to working my schedule around the needs of the dog(s) to be home, to walk, to feed, etc. For overnights, my house is a small two-story home. I have a fully fenced yard area, too compact and area for a dog to get up to full speed, but definitely large enough to accommodate a quality case of the zoomies. No dogs in the household (hence the Rover profile!).

About: I've been around dogs my whole life & currently have dachshunds of my own. I grew up with a Lab, so I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets for years, and I treat every dog like they're part of my own family. I work full time during the week, so I'm primarily available Friday afternoons through Sunday for dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and trips to the dog park. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, exploring new trails, or simply getting extra love and attention, I'm happy to follow their routine to keep them comfortable and happy. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. During every visit, I'll make sure they have plenty of exercise, fresh water, playtime, and lots of love. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet, and I'll care for them just like I do my own. 30-Minute Dog Walks: A fun walk around your neighborhood or a nearby park to help your pup get exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation while you're away. 30-Minute Drop-In Visits: Perfect for potty breaks, feeding, refreshing water, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention to keep your pet happy and comfortable. House Sitting: Your pet gets to stay comfortable in their own home while I provide companionship, regular potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, and lots of cuddles throughout my stay. I’m available most weeknights for walks, runs, drop-in visits, or trips to the dog park. I’m active, reliable, and happy to match your dog’s energy level whether they love long walks or just extra attention and playtime. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, water, and care during every visit. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and grew up in a home where they were truly part of the family. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to care for their furry loved ones while they’re away, and I take that responsibility seriously. I also have a dog of my own, Lev, a 6-year-old male who has taught me a lot about patience, communication, and positive reinforcement training. Because Lev can be leash reactive, I’m very comfortable reading dog body language and handling walks calmly and safely. Through consistent positive reinforcement, we’ve built successful and enjoyable walks together. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I always aim to create a safe, positive, and fun experience for every pup in my care. I currently WFH full-time! Afternoon/evenings between 3-7pm on weekdays are ideal times for walks and visits. Weekends would vary, but I have pretty open availability in general! My own pup gets at least three walks a day—a long walk first thing in the morning and another before bed, plus a midday walk for some relief and fresh air. We often go on other adventures, including the beach and the dog park, but this our typical schedule. Because of this routine, I’m very accustomed to walking during high dog-traffic times and always prioritize safe, attentive handling. I stay aware of our surroundings, read dog body language, and use positive reinforcement to keep walks calm, structured, and enjoyable for every pup.

About: Hey there! My name is Natasha and I have been an avid dog lover since I was young. My partner and I both WFH and we have a fully fenced in front and backyard for the pups to play and roam. With my 8+ years of dog care experience, it's my pleasure to make our house your dog's favorite home away from home! A little about me: My first dog was a Christmas gift when I was 16. Despite being on crutches, I learned a lot about dog training and care. Fast forward to 7 years ago, I rescued my border collie and trained her to become a service dog. We go everywhere and do (almost) everything together - including taking care of other dogs! I also now have a Foster dog, Ashe, who is very docile, gentle, and sweet. She's just happy to be here! I am also happy to watch your pet(s) at your home as my partner can take care of the gang here at home while I'm away. Whatever works best for you! Either way - your pets will be loved, mentally and physically engaged, and cared for however long you need! I work remote full-time and set my own schedule. Nyla joins me for runs, frisbee sessions at the park, hikes, and fetch 5-6 days a week. After that, it’s all cuddle puddle. We also do some training on our walks for breakfast! We go for a long walk in the morning and evening, with plenty of short breaks throughout the day - or one of the aforementioned activities! Safety is of utmost importance to me. I know many dogs have lots of ways they communicate their boundaries and I keep a close eye for any or all of them your dog may show. We have a fully fenced in front and backyard, a way to divide the two, and live in a residential neighborhood. I work with each pet to learn their comfort level and earn their trust on their terms and timetable. Nyla and our foster are both crate trained so separation is always available if need be!

About: Have had family dogs all my life and my little guy for almost 5 years. I know the amount of work and dedication it takes to give them a happy and full life. I have also pet sit for friends both dogs and cats over the years. My friends know I’m someone they can depend on. I work from home primarily east coast hours so can be flexible in the afternoons/evenings. If your home is close can also work around meetings earlier in the day! I want to make sure your pet has a relaxed and comfortable time with me. I personally get pretty anxious when someone is checking in or taking care of my pet so I will do my best to ease that feeling for others.

About: Not your average dog caretaker! I am a big dog lover! I have experience walking and taking care of dogs, puppies as well as seniors, small, medium sized and with a high energy level. Walking with your dog is not just a good exercise, it is also a good opportunity to show them attention and affection. I take a trust based approach to dogs and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved when they are with me. My goal is to leave you with a happy dog and to leave your dog with a satisfied owner. Animal care is a big part of my daily routine, and I love spending time with dogs. With my flexible schedule, I can provide walks, sitting, and plenty of attention to keep them happy and safe while their owners are away. I provide personalized care, including walks, playtime, feeding, and a safe environment. My husband and I live in a pet friendly, cozy bungalow with a lot of grass areas. About: I've been surrounded by animals my whole life by dogs, cats, birds, fish, turtles, and at 40+ years in, my love for them has only grown. I've pet sat for many households and have a natural ability to handle all kinds of personalities, energy levels, and needs. I'm a verified member of Trusted House Sitters (in which the primary is pet sitting), and I take that seriously. I'm experienced with medically complex pets. I've administered subcutaneous fluids, insulin injections, and oral medications. I also have cared for special needs animals including a three-legged seizure-prone Chihuahua, a teacup Chihuahua with broken elbows, and a German Shepherd with cow-hocks disease. If your pet has extra needs, they're in capable hands. My approach is calm, grounded, and playful and animals feel it. I'm a certified hypnotherapist and life coach, and the same energy awareness and patience I bring to people, I bring to pets. Anxious, shy, and difficult animals tend to soften around me naturally. My sister didn't call me the Cat and Dog Whisperer for nothing. :D I have a soft spot for the ones others overlook. I've rescued an abandoned Chihuahua-Terrier, adopted a shelter pup, and my two boys Bruce and Charlie came to me as feral kittens nobody else wanted. Every animal deserves patience, consistency, and genuine love and that's exactly what I bring to every walk and drop-in. I'm a San Diego local with regular availability in LA County as well, so wherever you are, I've got you covered. My schedule is flexible and I'm available most weekdays and select weekends, morning through evening. I don't operate on a rigid 9-to-5, which means I can work around your pet's needs rather than the other way around. Outside of pet care, I'm an active, outdoorsy person and love hiking, kayaking, and paddleboarding. That energy carries directly into every walk and drop-in. Your dog won't just get a stroll around the block, they'll get someone who genuinely loves being outside and moving. Your pet's safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities always. I follow your established routines closely and take detailed instructions seriously. Every home, every pet, and every owner is different, and I respect that. When I'm in your home I treat it with care. I leave things as clean or cleaner than I found them. Your space and your pet's environment will be respected. I'm extremely mindful of doors and escape artists. I know how quickly a curious pet can bolt, and I create my own blockades when needed to make sure no one slips out unexpectedly. I'm comfortable walking multiple dogs simultaneously including large, high-energy breeds. I've walked a Rottweiler and German Shepherd together, both with strong pulling tendencies, and handled them with confidence. You'll never wonder how your pet is doing. I send photos and updates daily including sometimes multiple times a day because I know how much you miss them and how much it means to see a happy face pop up on your phone. I also have hands-on experience with pet first aid, including applying Quik Stop for bleeding so minor mishaps are handled calmly and quickly without panic. Your home, your routines, your pet I've got all of it handled.

She truly went above and beyond, providing excellent care and daily check-ins that gave us complete peace of mind. We felt so comfortable knowing they were well cared for and attended to, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have Savannah watch them again for any future trips.

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs my whole life, and I currently share my home with my own dog, Blu, so I know what it takes to keep a pup happy, safe, and comfortable. Whether it’s daily walks, feeding schedules, or just extra cuddle time, I treat every dog in my care like family. I’m reliable, attentive, and always keep owners updated with photos and check-ins so you can relax knowing your best friend is in good hands. About: With over five years of hands-on experience as a veterinary technician, caring for animals is a passion. I’ve worked extensively with anxious, fearful, and/or reactive dogs and cats. I’m confident reading body language, building trust, and creating a calm, low-stress environment where animals feel safe. My schedule is fairly open and flexible while I navigate a career shift and going back to school. I do not typically leave dogs alone, but if applicable, I prefer dogs to be kennel trained. I do have a large kennel in-house that can be used. I’m well-versed in basic dog training (ie. puppy crate training, basic obedience) and am a confident, educated handler. I prioritize positive reinforcement and enriching activities - I always want dogs feel secure. I also have resources for trainer referrals if need. My medical background means your pet is in knowledgeable hands. I’m comfortable administering medications — including injections for dogs and cats — monitoring for health changes and supporting pets with special medical or behavioral needs. PLEASE have your dog up to date on core vaccines: Bordetella, Rabies, DHP (distemper/parvo) - with medical exceptions. PLEASE have your dog on a flea/tick medication prescribed by your vet. It is important! Please feel free to ask me questions if you need help :)

This is the second time Vanessa has taken care of my sweet old gal, Reiki. Vanessa is responsible, reliable and patient and affectionate with her, which I dearly appreciate. I feel anxiety when away because I know how much Reiki is emotionally anchored by me being around all the time, and I worry. However, having Vanessa helps a LOT -- she communicates lots of reassuring information including photos. It's hard to properly express how much this helps in knowing Reiki is in good hands and that "everything is ok." Thank you Vanessa!!
