About: I am new to Rover, but not new to dog sitting! As a dog owner for majority of life, I have been without a canine companion for the last couple years after my last dog passed. Due to some newer work travel obligations, I don’t feel confident in owning a dog at the moment, so getting a quality fix while caring for other families’ doggos! Young puppies to senior dogs, I have had them all. From a 30-lb Shepard/chow/hound mix (Lucy) to a 100-lb chocolate lab (Belle) and a few in between (Irish setter, lab mix), I have had solo dogs and multiple dogs in the household at once. I am an active person who will hike / run / walk as each dog is interested or able to. For overnights, my house is a small two-story home. I have a fully fenced yard area, too compact an area for a dog to get up to full speed, but definitely large enough to accommodate a quality case of the zoomies. For drop-ins and pet walks, I am punctual, thorough, and a happy walker. And willing to jog with dogs who benefit from the extra cardio… I work full-time with a large degree of flexibility. Partially remote, partially in office on no “fixed” schedule. If I am booked, I am committed to working my schedule around the needs of the dog(s) to be home, to walk, to feed, etc. For overnights, my house is a small two-story home. I have a fully fenced yard area, too compact and area for a dog to get up to full speed, but definitely large enough to accommodate a quality case of the zoomies. No dogs in the household (hence the Rover profile!).

About: I've been around dogs my whole life & currently have dachshunds of my own. I grew up with a Lab, so I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets for years, and I treat every dog like they're part of my own family. I work full time during the week, so I'm primarily available Friday afternoons through Sunday for dog walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and trips to the dog park. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playing fetch, exploring new trails, or simply getting extra love and attention, I'm happy to follow their routine to keep them comfortable and happy. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. During every visit, I'll make sure they have plenty of exercise, fresh water, playtime, and lots of love. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet, and I'll care for them just like I do my own. 30-Minute Dog Walks: A fun walk around your neighborhood or a nearby park to help your pup get exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation while you're away. 30-Minute Drop-In Visits: Perfect for potty breaks, feeding, refreshing water, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention to keep your pet happy and comfortable. House Sitting: Your pet gets to stay comfortable in their own home while I provide companionship, regular potty breaks, walks, meals, playtime, and lots of cuddles throughout my stay. I’m available most weeknights for walks, runs, drop-in visits, or trips to the dog park. I’m active, reliable, and happy to match your dog’s energy level whether they love long walks or just extra attention and playtime. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, water, and care during every visit. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and personalities.

“Daniel took great care of our 75 lbs pit bull, Rosie! He is very comfortable with large breed dogs and Rosie loved him. We booked 3 days in a row and will book again!”

About: Hello there! 👋😃 I am excited to connect with you and learn about your precious fur babies! 🥰 My name is Jess and I am a lifelong cat and dog mom. With 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 fish at home, it’s safe to say I am a devout animal lover who cares deeply for our dear companions. I value safety, trust, communication, respect, and over-the-top high level, heartfelt care. Our animals are family, and I don’t take it lightly when I am entrusted with the safety and care of a sweet, precious little being! 🐕🦺🐾 I work for myself & remotely, so I have complete control over my schedule! This allows for maximum flexibility and enables me to come most anytime you’d need me. It is important to me to treat your space with the same love, respect, and care with which I treat my own home. I adhere to your house rules and have a personal policy of leaving a space better than I find it.
About: I had my 16 year old dog Dakota since she was a puppy until she passed away earlier this year and I've fostered multiple senior dogs over the last couple of years for Frosted Faces. I only accept small dogs (under 16lbs) for daycare and boarding with a max of 3 dogs at any given time so you can be sure your dog will get dedicated attention and not be overwhelmed. If you need your dog(s) to be the only one in the home please let me know in the request message. If this is your first time using rover you can sign up via https://www.rover.com/sit/melant42759 or use promo code MELANT42759 for $20 off your first booking. I work full time from home and my schedule is pretty flexible - I can take breaks as needed to take care of the dogs. I live in a one bedroom apartment, there is no fenced in yard but the door always remains closed. I wouldn't take any dogs out without their collar and leash on. There is a set of stairs to get up to my apartment (~12 steps), I can carry dogs up and down if needed. The apartment itself is one level and I have doggy stairs to get on the couch as well as a gate to keep them in a carpeted area if they need that for balance or anything.
“Jade was super responsive and took great care of my pup! When I asked if she was able to watch my dog longer than the original booking, she did not hesitate to say yes. I would definitely use Jade again.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and grew up in a home where they were truly part of the family. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to care for their furry loved ones while they’re away, and I take that responsibility seriously. I also have a dog of my own, Lev, a 6-year-old male who has taught me a lot about patience, communication, and positive reinforcement training. Because Lev can be leash reactive, I’m very comfortable reading dog body language and handling walks calmly and safely. Through consistent positive reinforcement, we’ve built successful and enjoyable walks together. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I always aim to create a safe, positive, and fun experience for every pup in my care. I currently WFH full-time! Afternoon/evenings between 3-7pm on weekdays are ideal times for walks and visits. Weekends would vary, but I have pretty open availability in general! My own pup gets at least three walks a day—a long walk first thing in the morning and another before bed, plus a midday walk for some relief and fresh air. We often go on other adventures, including the beach and the dog park, but this our typical schedule. Because of this routine, I’m very accustomed to walking during high dog-traffic times and always prioritize safe, attentive handling. I stay aware of our surroundings, read dog body language, and use positive reinforcement to keep walks calm, structured, and enjoyable for every pup.
About: Have had family dogs all my life and my little guy for almost 5 years. I know the amount of work and dedication it takes to give them a happy and full life. I have also pet sit for friends both dogs and cats over the years. My friends know I’m someone they can depend on. I work from home primarily east coast hours so can be flexible in the afternoons/evenings. If your home is close can also work around meetings earlier in the day! I want to make sure your pet has a relaxed and comfortable time with me. I personally get pretty anxious when someone is checking in or taking care of my pet so I will do my best to ease that feeling for others.
About: Hey there! My name is Natasha and I have been an avid dog lover since I was young. My partner and I both WFH and we have a fully fenced in front and backyard for the pups to play and roam. With my 8+ years of dog care experience, it's my pleasure to make our house your dog's favorite home away from home! A little about me: My first dog was a Christmas gift when I was 16. Despite being on crutches, I learned a lot about dog training and care. Fast forward to 7 years ago, I rescued my border collie and trained her to become a service dog. We go everywhere and do (almost) everything together - including taking care of other dogs! I also now have a Foster dog, Ashe, who is very docile, gentle, and sweet. She's just happy to be here! I am also happy to watch your pet(s) at your home as my partner can take care of the gang here at home while I'm away. Whatever works best for you! Either way - your pets will be loved, mentally and physically engaged, and cared for however long you need! I work remote full-time and set my own schedule. Nyla joins me for runs, frisbee sessions at the park, hikes, and fetch 5-6 days a week. After that, it’s all cuddle puddle. We also do some training on our walks for breakfast! We go for a long walk in the morning and evening, with plenty of short breaks throughout the day - or one of the aforementioned activities! Safety is of utmost importance to me. I know many dogs have lots of ways they communicate their boundaries and I keep a close eye for any or all of them your dog may show. We have a fully fenced in front and backyard, a way to divide the two, and live in a residential neighborhood. I work with each pet to learn their comfort level and earn their trust on their terms and timetable. Nyla and our foster are both crate trained so separation is always available if need be!
“Devon is incredible!! She is very friendly and professional. She provided detailed updates and photos everyday for our cat Charlie while we were away. Charlie was in very good hands and we will 100% request her again to watch our little guy!”

“Kristin was the best. I have a new dog, and I was worried about leaving my dog alone for the first time. Kristin kept me updated and communicated frequently. She put me at ease. Appreciated her!”

About: Hi! I’m Eden, a dog mom of two working breed shelter dogs, so safe to say I am very active and have worked with several trainers over the years to keep these dogs happy and healthy. I have had my own animals since I was a wee girl, been a dog walker/sitter through Wag, and learned a ton through my own trials and tribulations with my own reactive dog. Since getting my second dog 2 years ago I’ve mostly taken a hiatus from helping others, but now that I’m confident with my dogs, I’m keen to learn more. I am not a trainer but am experienced in reactivity, separation anxiety, leash pulling and basic puppy training. I’m happy to walk/run your dog or stay home and ease their anxiety. I am currently in grad school and have a flexible schedule and a partner to help care for my own dogs at home. Let me know what you and your pup need! I am currently in grad school and have a lot of availability for walks or check ins and can occasionally accommodate a sitting as well. I walk my own dogs 2x per day, spend time doing something fun or enriching daily, and do something extra fun, like the beach or a hike, 2x a week. I’d be happy to do the same with your pet(s). I will do whatever my client requests and is comfortable with. I walk or run my own dogs 2x per day and I try to keep a balance between training and letting them be dogs during these walks. I also play ball, tug, find it, and use enrichment toys with them.
“Ariana was an EXCELLENT cat sitter. She was very communicative and sent us pictures of our cat every day. She put the effort into not just feeding our cat but playing with her too, and even came on Christmas! We will absolutely be reaching out to Ariana in the future. If you’re looking to leave your pet at home over the holidays without any stress, Ariana will be a great sitter for you!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Normal Heights
Kristieann was an absolutely incredible sitter for my senior puppy. She was extremely kind and caring for my old girl and was able to come during the middle of the day to look after her, pet her, brush her, and giver her company while I was at work all day. She has made a noticeable difference in my dogs life and I am so grateful for her help and I highly recommend her for any service she offers.

This is the second time Vanessa has taken care of my sweet old gal, Reiki. Vanessa is responsible, reliable and patient and affectionate with her, which I dearly appreciate. I feel anxiety when away because I know how much Reiki is emotionally anchored by me being around all the time, and I worry. However, having Vanessa helps a LOT -- she communicates lots of reassuring information including photos. It's hard to properly express how much this helps in knowing Reiki is in good hands and that "everything is ok." Thank you Vanessa!!
