“Mihaela is our favorite sitter we have found on rover. She is so sweet and takes such good care of our Ollie. She also sends the best updates. Thank you for all that you do Mihaela!”

“Araceli is fantastic. My dogs love being with her. She is always so responsive and she let me drop off the dogs two hours earlier than I initially asked for which was really helpful due to travel plans changing.”

“Melanie is such a kind and loving petsitter--and her longtime experience caring for senior dogs is such a huge benefit, too--she's given me great tips on things like how to get my dog to take his medicine and suggestions about how to help his mobility.”

“Whitney was very communicative from the start all way through to picking up our dog Pony. We got plenty of photos throughout the day and night she was watching him which we were grateful for :) Pony loves other dogs so it was great that Whitney owns one and was watching another during his stay. She even bought Pony some treats! We would definitely book with Whitney again!”
“The best dog sitter! Nala is always so comfortable with her, and that gives me so much peace of mind. She is very communicative and keeps me updated, which I really appreciate. She genuinely cares about Nala’s well-being, including her nutrition, and treats her like she’s her second mom. I trust her completely, and whenever she’s available, she’ll definitely be watching Nala again. This will already be our fourth time booking with her, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and loving pet sitter!”

“20/10!! Savannah took amazing care of our pups!! Especially when it came to giving my one pup her eyedrops daily. She took the best photos and I could tell the pups had a great time! 100% recommend and would have our pups stay with her again!”

“Dave was fantastic with my dog! He provided me with regular updates and photos. Louie loved being able to play with his dog, Astro. Thank you Dave for accommodating Louie’s needs. I would definitely recommend Dave to anyone needing a loving sitter for their pup, and we would love to use him again in the future!”

“Our Clover always gets the best care with Anar. It’s obvious that she enjoys being there when we’re away. She was wiped out after her last stay and passed out snoring when we got her home. Happy dog!”

“Liza was amazing she took great care of our boys while we were away on vacation. She made us feel comfortable right away and did a good job communicating we would definitely book her again in the future.”

“Anna was amazing watching my dog Willow for the first time. I had a lot of anxiety leaving her after just moving to San Diego, but Anna immediately put me at ease. She was so kind and treated Willow like her own, letting her relax and feel comfortable in her home. She kept me updated and sent great pictures that made me really happy. I truly appreciated her communication and care—would absolutely recommend her! She’s wonderful and you can see how much she loves and cares about dogs! Willow had a great time!”

“Jason is fantastic! I can’t recommend him enough! Our cattle dog Ruby stayed with Jason for three weeks while we were abroad and she was so happy and well cared for. Jason and his family showered her with love, daily walks, and top-notch care. Ruby can be shy and nervous, but she took to Jason right away, he is a true dog whisperer. Jason is fantastic with communication and really easy to work with. He was able to accommodate an oversight on my part and adjust our dates last minute, we greatly appreciated the flexibility! We are so thankful to have found Jason and will certainly use him again as our favorite pet sitter!”

“Alex was great with Amory! This was his second time with my cat and he did amazing. I had a business trip and travel delays and Alex was very flexible and communicative.”

“Xochitl did such a great job caring for my dog Salt!! She sent daily check ins and photos and she also had great flexibility when my flight home was very delayed. I would definitely book again.”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have my full attention all day long. I currently have a cat and a 15 year old senior dog, so I truly understand the bond we have with our older furry friends. Since I care for a senior dog myself, I’m very comfortable with medical needs. I can easily handle: Injections (like insulin) and any oral medications. Special diets and strict feeding schedules. Senior care for pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. Because I’m home 24/7, I can provide constant companionship and as many potty breaks as needed. Your pet will be treated like family here I work from home full-time, which means I have a very flexible schedule. Your pet will have my companionship 24/7, with constant supervision and as many potty breaks or walks as they need throughout the day A typical day includes lots of cuddles, mental stimulation, and fun games. We will explore the nearby park and enjoy long walks. Since I’m always home, I can strictly follow any feeding or medication schedules your pet requires
“Kaitlin and Verle took such great care of our dog! He was calm and happy when we picked him up, and I would definitely feel comfortable booking again!”

“Phillip is just the best!! He has taken great care of our senior dog and loved on her as if she was his own dog, we absolutely trust our dog is in good hands with Phillip.”

“Cerita and her family were great with Bam Bam! She obviously enjoyed her stay, photos proving she was having a blast! We appreciate the attention and care they gave her!”

“Danielle was very communicative and took great care of my pet. Checking in with many pictures and spending time with him. She was very respectful of my home while I was away. I’m very happy with her work”

“I was away from home, and our previous cat sitter failed to show up for one of the scheduled drop-in visits. I couldn’t reach them. In a pinch, I was looking for a pet sitter, and Jade was more than happy to help. She was fantastic in getting all the details over the phone and was very communicative both before and during the visit. She even sent me adorable pictures of cats.”

About: I've had cats in my family since I was born! We always had two Siamese cats in the house growing up, and my first pet I adopted out of college was my very own cat. I've cat sit for friends over the years as well and always hang out for several hours, not just do a drive by of food and water refill. Even though we all know how much they love to do their own thing, it's important for them too to get some scritches, pets, and zooming around done while you're away.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up I always had dogs and even other animals such as a guinea pig, a bunny rabbit, and even hermit crabs! I believe pets are family so I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. Whether your pet wants an adventure, a playmate, or just a cozy companion, i'm here to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you're away :) I work M-F 9am-6pm but i’m free weekends, evenings, mornings, and could check in on your pet during my hour long lunch break if nearby. I love staying active and would be happy to take your dog on walks around the neighborhood, trips to the park, or other outdoor adventures. At the same time, I understand every pet is different so if your pet prefers a calm day indoors with cuddles im just as happy to stay in and keep them comfortable! My goal is to adapt to your pet's personality and routine so they feel safe, happy, and cared for. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community with fenced in areas and a neighborhood full of other pet owners, which makes it a great place for walks and outdoor time. I also live with another animal-loving roommate, and we currently do not have any pets of our own, which means your pet can enjoy a calm, quiet household with plenty of individual attention. Whether i'm at my own home or a client's I make sure to respect and special instructions, and provide lots of supervision, affection, and care.
“Carmen was fantastic from first communication. I had to book her last minute when other plans fell through and she was quickly responsive and reassuring. She asked questions that I didn’t think of, showing me she cares and is thoughtful, responsible and takes the job seriously with heart. She sent great pictures that showed my cat trusting and loving her, which put me totally at ease while I was across the country for a week and a half. I trusted her immediately and would recommend her to anyone. Cats know cat people and when you want someone to just love your cat when you’re gone, she’s your girl!”

“Destiny has been such an amazing cat-sitter for my boy Sunny. While I was away, my lockbox for my house key became too rusted to access (by no fault of anyone) and Destiny handled the situation in such a reassuring, professional way. After figuring out a plan of action, she communicated with a few of my neighbors and the maintenance workers on site to coordinate what would be needed to gain access back into my apartment to care for Sunny. It was a very stressful situation since I was concerned about Sunny not being able to be accessed, but Destiny went above and beyond to reassure me and make sure everything was well taken care of. Highly, highly recommend her services!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats of all kinds since I was 10. I grew up in a house full of cats and recently lived with friends who owned two cats that I helped care for. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to check in, feed, play with, and keep their pets comfortable while they’re away. I understand that every cat has a different personality and needs a different level of attention, and I’m always patient and adaptable to make sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, and cared for.

“Kristin was great! I was initially hesitant about leaving my puppy with a stranger for drop offs but he immediately loved her and they seemed to have such a good time. I loved all the photos she sent of him!”

About: I had my 16 year old dog Dakota since she was a puppy until she passed away earlier this year and I've fostered multiple senior dogs over the last couple of years for Frosted Faces. I only accept small dogs (under 16lbs) for daycare and boarding with a max of 3 dogs at any given time so you can be sure your dog will get dedicated attention and not be overwhelmed. If you need your dog(s) to be the only one in the home please let me know if the request message. If this is your first time using rover you can sign up via https://www.rover.com/sit/melant42759 or use promo code MELANT42759 for $20 off your first booking. I work full time from home and my schedule is pretty flexible - I can take breaks as needed to take care of the dogs. I live in a one bedroom apartment, there is no fenced in yard but the door always remains closed. I wouldn't take any dogs out without their collar and leash on. There is a set of stairs to get up to my apartment (~12 steps), I can carry dogs up and down if needed. The apartment itself is one level and I have doggy stairs to get on the couch as well as a gate to keep them in a carpeted area if they need that for balance or anything.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and grew up in a home where they were truly part of the family. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to care for their furry loved ones while they’re away, and I take that responsibility seriously. I also have a dog of my own, Lev, a 6-year-old male who has taught me a lot about patience, communication, and positive reinforcement training. Because Lev can be leash reactive, I’m very comfortable reading dog body language and handling walks calmly and safely. Through consistent positive reinforcement, we’ve built successful and enjoyable walks together. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I always aim to create a safe, positive, and fun experience for every pup in my care. I currently WFH full-time! Afternoon/evenings between 3-7pm on weekdays are ideal times for walks and visits. Weekends would vary, but I have pretty open availability in general! My own pup gets at least three walks a day—a long walk first thing in the morning and another before bed, plus a midday walk for some relief and fresh air. We often go on other adventures, including the beach and the dog park, but this our typical schedule. Because of this routine, I’m very accustomed to walking during high dog-traffic times and always prioritize safe, attentive handling. I stay aware of our surroundings, read dog body language, and use positive reinforcement to keep walks calm, structured, and enjoyable for every pup.

“Leilani was very professional and respectful of my cat and space! She did a great job and made sure to follow the daily instructions i left for her. I would reccomend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!”

“Spencer was great with our two cats while we were away on a long trip. He was punctual and communicative throughout the booking. We received great pictures of our cats every day and it was clear they were very happy and comfortable with him.”

“This was our second time having Isabella drop in to take care of our cat. She’s super easy to communicate with, takes good care of our guy, and our shy kitty seems very comfortable with her.”

About: Hi! I’m Eden, a dog mom of two working breed shelter dogs, so safe to say I am very active and have worked with several trainers over the years to keep these dogs happy and healthy. I have had my own animals since I was a wee girl, been a dog walker/sitter through Wag, and learned a ton through my own trials and tribulations with my own reactive dog. Since getting my first dog 4 years ago I’ve mostly taken a hiatus from helping others, but now that I’m confident with my dogs, I’m keen to learn more. I am not a trainer but am experienced in reactivity, separation anxiety, leash pulling and basic puppy training. I’m happy to walk/run your dog or stay home and ease their anxiety. I have a flexible schedule and a partner to help care for my own dogs at home. Let me know what you and your pup need! I currently work part time and have a good chunk of daytime hours available for walks or check ins and can occasionally accommodate a sitting as well. I walk my own dogs 2x per day, spend time doing something fun or enriching daily, and do something extra fun, like the beach or a hike, 2x a week. I’d be happy to do the same with your dog(s). I will do whatever my client requests and is comfortable with. I walk or run my own dogs 2x per day and I try to keep a balance between training and letting them be dogs during these walks. I also play ball, tug, find it, and use enrichment toys with them.

“Had a last minute trip and Melanie was able to accommodate us. She was very informative, sent pictures and let us know how she was doing. I would love to use Melanie again when we are in town.”

“My dog and I met with Shane and Chris for a meet-and-greet before I booked them for a day. They were so nice and genuine during both the initial visit and the day-of daycare that i was put immediately at ease for leaving them with my senior dog. I got to see their backyard (so spacious!), and I knew that Ghibli would love sunbathing there and be his lazy self. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.”

“Andre was great. He was very flexible and happy to work with my schedule and my 2 older dogs and their quirky needs . Penny is blind and he happily made any necessary accommodations for walks and going potty. Bonus lived his best vacation days ever, with multiple walks a day. Thank you”

About: I grew up on a rescue farm, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me, and I’ve truly never met one I didn’t adore. I’ll treat your dog like one of my own! I have experience fostering and dog-sitting pups of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’m also comfortable working with dogs who have medical needs or unique personalities, whether they’re high-energy, shy, reactive, or a little anxious in new settings. I am a dog person to my core and have loved them all! I work from home Monday - Friday, so my situation is ideal for boarding and daycare as well as shorter overnights. I enjoy being outdoors as much as I enjoy a night in, so I can be flexible depending on each dog's needs. I live in a walkable neighborhood where I only need to be away from home for short periods of time to go grocery shopping or to hit the gym. I have always had a dog (though I am currently dog-free, unfortunately), so I am naturally attuned to their schedules and needs. I live in a very dog-friendly complex in a very residential neighborhood. I have lots of experience with controlled walks, crate training, and general dog safety, including emergency care and safe/proper introductions with other dog-friendly dogs. I live alone in a very calm, peaceful environment, and am conscientious of respecting a dog's space and know the importance of maintaining a semi-normal schedule while they're in a new/unfamiliar environment.
“Rafael has been such a blessing for my goldendoodle, Lola, and I. We moved cross country to San Diego and, unfortunately, I work long hours— hours which Lola would stay alone. Having found Rafael was the best thing ever! He ensures that my Lola is well taken care of while I’m working: he takes her on long walks, plays ball with her, and sends updates throughout the day. What makes Rafael stand out is that he treats Lola as his own, if there is any concern about her eating habits etc, he immediately lets me know. I would 100% hands down recommend him to anyone looking for a doggy sitter.”

About: Hi! I’m Chelsea — a lifelong dog lover and dedicated pet mom based in San Diego. I grew up with a German Shepherd and have always loved dogs. Over eight years ago, I brought home my 100lb Bernedoodle who is truly my baby and best friend. I completely understand how special these pups are and how important it is to trust someone to care for them like family. I’m very experienced handling large breeds, reading dog body language, and making sure pets feel safe and happy while their people are away. Whether it’s a long walk, an energetic play session, or a calm cuddle, I adjust to your dog's needs and routine. I know every dog has their own personality and I’m patient, kind, and reliable. I also have years of professional experience in operations and guest service, so you can count on great communication and dependable care. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes so you know your furry friend is happy and in good hands. Let’s chat about how I can help care for your pup! Caring for pets is something that naturally fits into my daily routine because I already plan my day around my own dog! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize dog walks, playtime, feeding, and any special needs your pup might have. I tailor my care to your dog’s needs! In my home, I provide a safe, loving environment with walks, play, and plenty of attention. I’m happy to meet up prior to make sure our pups get along. In your home, I carefully follow your instructions to keep your dog’s routine consistent and stress-free. My goal is always to make your pup feel happy, safe, and loved.

“Really appreciated the last minute booking. I loved to see details of my dog’s day and see cute photos of him together with their dogs! Shaiann and Norman were friendly, great communication throughout, and our dog was so comfortable with them from the start. That was really nice to see! I’ll definitely be booking again.”

“Derya and her husband are such wonderful people. They are warm, kind, and so welcoming to both our pup and to us. We felt so at ease having our pup stay with them, as they sent so many photos, videos, and updates throughout the day about their activities and adventures. It gave us so much relief knowing that our pup was in such a safe and happy environment, and he was always so happy and content when we picked him up! We absolutely would love to have our little one over with them again, and would recommend to anyone!”

About: Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a longtime dog owner with over 16 years of experience, and I recently returned to Rover after taking a few years’ hiatus to care for our senior pup full-time. We recently said goodbye to our sweet girl, Mika, who was with us for 16.5 wonderful years. Caring for her taught us so much about patience, comfort, and the extra love senior dogs need. While we’re not quite ready to adopt again, we would truly love to share that love with your pup. My husband and I have a calm, dog-free home, which allows us to give your dog our full attention in a peaceful, low-stress environment. We have a special place in our hearts for senior dogs and those who may need gentler care, but we love pups of all ages. Your dog’s days will include two walks (adjusted for age and energy level), playtime or cozy downtime, treats with your approval, and lots of affection and belly rubs. I also provide photo updates and check-ins so you can feel confident your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: to make your dog feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away. A Few Things I’d Love to Know To provide the best care possible, please let me know: • Any special needs or medical considerations • If your dog experiences separation anxiety • Feeding schedule, diet, medications, or allergies • Their daily routine and energy level • Favorite comforts, routines, or quirks Important Note Extended stay: An additional $25 day rate applies if pick-up is over the 24-hour period. Your pup will get plenty of attention. We can go for walks and have some play time. Ofcourse (if your pet is older we will go for shorter walks) They’ll get treats and belly rubs. We have a patio with grass they can go potty anytime :) I have a cozy and fenced patio. They can sit and lay out by the sun. I also have a grassy area for potty breaks anytime the want.
“Mihaela is a very nice person and super awesome with Rollie. She provided Rollie with lots of playtime, games, walks, and belly rubs. I got many updates and I could tell Rollie enjoyed her stay with Mihaela and didn’t want to leave! Will definitely be a repeated client.”

About: Hi, I’m Nathalia! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 15 years of experience caring for pups of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a proud dog mom to two wonderful dogs of my own, I know how important it is to feel confident and at ease when leaving your furry family member in someone else’s care. I aim to adore and care for your pet as much as you do! Caring for dogs is already a big part of my everyday life. I currently have a wide open schedule and available Monday through Sundays for boarding for daycare. I have a home that is fully pet proof (secure cabinets, secure trash can, and fenced yard). I can crate your dog if needed as well.

About: Hi, I'm Nic! I've been taking care of dogs ever since we adopted our first family dog Auggie over 20 years ago. He and other dogs I've watched had aggression issues so I know how to stay out of trouble. I'm strong enough to handle multiple medium-to-large dogs at a time and fit enough to take them on long walks or runs. I helped out my mom a lot last year with our second family dog Yogi who struggled with incontinence, mobility, and chronic pain. I still miss him but realized after watching my friend's elderly dogs that I'm ready to connect with some more great animals! I work full-time but I'm remote and not overly busy so I have flexibility in terms of schedule. I'm generally available to do walks/check-ins around noon or in the evening and can also have animals stay with me in my apartment during the day or overnight. I only take pets from one family at a time in order to ensure that I can give each pet as much attention as possible. I have an apartment on the second floor of a small complex and there is no elevator so I likely cannot accommodate larger dogs with mobility issues. My complex and apartment are pretty quiet and there is a park with two dog runs only two blocks away. On weekdays I only leave the apartment for about two hours so I can keep a close eye on any dogs that need extra supervision. I'm very respectful of other people's homes and know that many animals will need time to warm up to me. I try to give animals as much space as they need but also keep an eye out for when they're in need of some stimulation.
About: I have grown up with dogs in my household all my life and love all animals. I have my own rescue mutt and extensive experience working with all types of dogs. I would love to help out any families and make sure your animals are taken care of and comfortable! I work for the schools and I’m on summer break now and would love to help look after your pet. I have my own car so transportation will not be an issue. I have 1 dog and take her on multiple walks a day, to parks, beaches, and out on various outings. I am a very flexible person who wants to make sure your animals are comfortable and getting the attention they need. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, hikes, going to parks, being outside, and giving them cuddles.
“It’s never easy leaving your fur baby with someone unfamiliar but after meeting Dave and Astro, I could immediately tell he was as much of a dog lover as me. Each time I picked up my pup, he was happy as a clam and could tell the level of love and care he received was commensurate to what I’d give him. If you are even remotely hesitant to leave the care of your pet with someone else, look no further than Dave. Your pup will be in excellent hands!”

“My dog loved her stay with Anar and was excited to return! Anar was flexible with pick-up and drop-off and sent me updates throughout the day on how Willow was doing!”

About: Have had family dogs all my life and my little guy for almost 5 years. I know the amount of work and dedication it takes to give them a happy and full life. I have also pet sit for friends both dogs and cats over the years. My friends know I’m someone they can depend on. I work from home primarily east coast hours so can be flexible in the afternoons/evenings. If your home is close can also work around meetings earlier in the day! I want to make sure your pet has a relaxed and comfortable time with me. I personally get pretty anxious when someone is checking in or taking care of my pet so I will do my best to ease that feeling for others.

“Nicole was an amazing caretaker for my little dog. He's not generally a very good eater, but under Nicole's care he ate up all his meals… She truly has the magic touch! She has quite a way with animals… He connected with her instantly.”

“Melanie walked our 3 dogs and did a great job! She walked the littles and the senior separately and did a great job modifying their walk for variety and to match their energy. She is really friendly, nice, and reliable. Highly recommend!!”

“Mihaela is awesome! Henry can't wait to see her and barks his head off when she comes to the door. July 3rd will be her last day with us but believe me when I say she will be the first person I pick if I need a dog walker again!!!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since high school and have always loved caring for animals and giving them plenty of attention and playtime. I’m very active and comfortable handling long walks and high energy dogs of all sizes. The last dogs I worked with were two high energy Aussies, so I’m very used to energetic personalities and active routines. I’ve also cared for an aging pug and shih tzu, as well as a senior cat, so I’m equally comfortable caring for older pets that need a gentler, more attentive approach. I treat every pet with patience, affection, and care, and always try to make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and excited every time I walk through the door for a visit or walk. I also have experience providing attentive senior care, as I spent the last two years care taking for my 100 year old grandpa day and night. That experience strengthened my patience, reliability, and attentiveness. I’m new to Rover since I just moved to San Diego, but I’ve been caring for pets for a long time and am happy to provide references upon request. I recently moved to San Diego, so my schedule is currently very open for walks, playtime, or home visits, especially for pets with separation anxiety who need company while you’re away. I’m flexible and happy to mix walks, play, and companionship depending on your pet’s needs. When I begin working in the service industry again, I still plan to keep time available for pet care, as I’m actively considering a long term career working with dogs. I’m more than happy to watch your pets in your home while you’re away or help out with extra care when needed. I’m also happy to crate your dog if needed, offer comfort and playtime for pets with separation anxiety, and prepare meals according to your pet’s diet and routine. Right now, I’m staying with my girlfriend, who has a wonderful golden retriever that I really enjoy spending time with. At the moment, I’m focusing on in-home care and dog walks for clients, and starting in July when I have my own place, I’ll be able to offer even more flexibility, including watching dogs in my apartment.

“Due to an injury, living upstairs I’m not supposed to do much of and having to use a cane for awhile, I desperately needed help asap walking my big girl. We are active and usually walk at least two miles twice a day. I came across Daniel’s profile, nervous as I’ve never had anyone but myself walk my sometimes very hard headed strong Cane Corso. I really appreciated that his profile noted that he’s comfortable with bigger breeds and has one of his own. I can’t say enough good things about his work ethic, kindness, gentle demeanor, quick communication, punctuality, professionalism - all of it! Not to mention my dog with some serious separation anxiety by the 3rd morning was up before the alarm in the morning to put on her “necklace” and go walk with her new bestie! She now pouts and looks out the window for an hour after their walks! (ha ha thanks Daniel!) I have booked future walks with full confidence and absolutely no hesitation. I am so very very thankful for his way with my working breed dog and his help!”

About: I grew up with dogs or cats in my home my entire childhood (0-18). I was born into a home filled with 14 animals. Mostly cats and dogs. For most of my childhood and adolescence I had a Rottweiler and a cat. I would walk/care for them and feed them without a need of a pestering mother. It’s been a few years since then, but my family has always had dogs in their homes, so when I visit I just help wherever appreciated. Often, walks for the three dogs my mom would have, would be the best way to help. That would be 9 walks a day, at minimum, because they would have to be walked separately. Although, I maintain a busy schedule working in luxury hospitality, I am consistently helping coworkers walk their dogs or even dog sit for friends for a day, a weekend, or a week at a time. Here, I am looking to do what I enjoy most, help the community. I look forward to connecting! I work full time in hospitality. I am off in the mornings. Typically, I have off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However, those days do change. I have a single bedroom apartment on the second floor of a 2 floor building. I have bowls for food and water. If your dog is allowed treats, I usually like to give them liver treats. If the dog stays with me, I’ll walk the dog at least 3 times a day, but because I like to walk so much, it’s often the dog will get walked 5-6 times a day for roughly 20-30+ minutes each.
About: Growing up with cats, my first dog was a Christmas gift when I was 16. Despite being on crutches, I learned a lot about dog training and care. Fast forward to 7 years ago, I rescued my border collie and trained her to become a service dog. We go everywhere and do (almost) everything together - including taking care of other dogs! I also now have a Foster dog, Ashe, who is very docile, gentle, and sweet. She's just happy to be here! I am also happy to watch your pet(s) at your home as my partner can take care of the gang here at home while I'm away. Whatever works best for you! Either way - your pets will be loved for however long you need! I work remote full-time and set my own schedule. Nyla joins me for runs, frisbee sessions at the park, hikes, and fetch 5-6 days a week. After that, it’s all cuddle puddle. We also do some training on our walks for breakfast! We go for a long walk in the morning and evening, with plenty of short breaks throughout the day - or one of the aforementioned activities! Safety is of utmost importance to me. I know many dogs have lots of ways they communicate their boundaries and I keep a close eye for any or all of them your dog may show. We have a fully fenced in front and backyard, a way to divide the two, and live in a residential neighborhood. I work with each pet to learn their comfort level and earn their trust on their terms and timetable. Nyla and our foster are both crate trained so separation is always available if need be!
“Highly recommended! Bebo is very responsive and great with our Goldendoodle Link. Bebo checked to make sure we made it home safely so that Link wouldn’t be alone if we were delayed.”

“Spencer has been doing daily dog walking for our two dogs for the past couple months and is reliable and responsive. He is great with our pups and would recommend him to anyone!”

About: I've grown up around animals my entire life and have always had a soft spot for animals. Being around pets has always come naturally to me, and I enjoy spending time caring for them, keeping them active, and making sure they feel comfortable. I've become the go-to guy for friends and family when they need someone they trust to look after their pets. I understand how important pets are to their owners, and I take that seriously. I'm very cautious, attentive, and aware of my surroundings, and I would never put an animal in a situation where they could become harmed. I'm comfortable with dogs and cats of different sizes and personalities. Im reliable, communicative, and attentive to each pet's individual needs. I currently work Wednesday through Saturday, but I’m available all day on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I’m also single with no kids or pets, which gives me a very flexible schedule. On my days off, I’m happy to adjust my availability as needed to fit you and your pet’s routine. I will care for your pet according to their specific needs and routine. I’m very cautious, attentive, and great at following instructions, so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I also live in a clean, organized environment and maintain a structured day-to-day routine, which helps create a calm and comfortable atmosphere for pets. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being will always be my top priority.
About: Hi! I’m Jess! I'm a total animal lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with pets of all kinds. I have my own furry crew at home, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets like they’re family. I’m experienced with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, from playful pups to more anxious or shy personalities. I’m patient, attentive, and always tuned into what each pet needs to feel safe and happy. Whether your dog needs a long walk, some playtime, or just a calm, comforting presence, I’m here for it. I’m also a big cat person! I love their personalities and am just as happy stopping by for feedings, play, and cuddles (on their terms, of course 😊). You can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and respectful of your home. I’ll make sure your pet gets lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated so you have total peace of mind. Can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I am currently a student 3 days a week so I have a lot of flexibility and availability in between. I love walking daily so this is helping me get my steps in and pay my student bills :) In your home, I follow the rules of your house and will always be respectful of your home while I’m caring for your pet.

About: Insured • WFH couple with flexibility • Senior, medical needs, & rescue experience • Child free, smoke free home w/ fenced yard • No off-leash, no dog parks • One family at a time 👋🏼 Hi, I’m Shai and my husband is Norman! We’ll care for your pet like they’re our own. Ensuring the safety and well-being of your furry family member is our top priority. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I am insured through Pet Sitters Associates so your pet is well covered. 🏠 We offer individualized dog daycare and boarding in our home in Normal Heights, San Diego 92116. To be able to provide personalized care, we only host 1 client at a time (up to 2 dogs from the same family). Please note: Early drop-off before 7am and late pick-up after 9pm will incur an additional $10 fee. The booking amount will be modified depending on the times requested. ☀️ We also offer dog/cat drop-in visits (open to other animals!) and dog walking in Normal Heights and areas within a 5-10 minute radius, which may include: North Park, University Heights, and Mission Valley. 🐾 EXPERIENCE: 1. PERSONAL: We adopted our two rescue pomeranians Waffles and Toffee in 2018 and 2020. We’ve looked after pets for family and friends, including a young high energy goldendoodle, a senior deaf and blind shih tzu, and two slow-to-warm cats. 2. PROFESSIONAL: I worked front desk at a dog daycare facility for over a year. I handled dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments and learned how to stay organized and safe within a pet care environment. We have been providing pet care through Rover and direct clients via social media and word of mouth since 2024. We care for pets who experience seizures, dementia, blindness, deafness, arthritis, and other special needs. We are comfortable administering medication. 3. VOLUNTEER: We have been volunteering with various animal rescues for the past 7+ years, which has brought us experience with medical needs and behavioral quirks. We’ve spent time with plenty of dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, goats, and even an emu. SERVICE DETAILS: 🫱🏼🫲🏽 MEET AND GREETS: We require a meet and greet for potential clients prior to first booking to ensure we’re all a good fit for one another. It will also give us the chance to chat face-to-face about your pet and any care expectations. If it’s last minute or you are only vacationing in the area, we may allow exceptions depending on the request and after speaking via phone call or FaceTime. For longer boarding stays, we may require a one night trial at a discounted fee. 🐶 DOG DAYCARE: A day at our place includes: a clean dog proof home environment, lounging cot, private fenced yard, and two furry hosts Waffles and Toffee. We can keep your dog engaged with walks, playtime, and command practice or just keep it chill and have them enjoy TV time with us. We sometimes go out to dog friendly places such as Liberty Station or Balboa Park, with your permission if your dog is comfortable in those environments. If your dog has physical limitations, we have a stroller for those under ~20lb. 🧳 DOG BOARDING: All the amenities of daycare, plus a safe home to rest at night. We ask that our boarders be house trained or crated trained so we have the ability to step out (no longer than 3-4 hours). We have a Petcube camera with sound and movement detection to monitor them while we’re out. If your dog needs human company for the entirety of their stay, we may have flexibility and are happy to discuss during the meet and greet. Please bring your dog’s crate, bed, and/or anything else to help them feel at home. We have extra beds for small dogs. 📝 DAYCARE/BOARDING REQUIREMENTS: 1) Must be neutral, indifferent, or friendly with both humans and dogs. 2) Must be potty trained. We may make exceptions for senior/medical incontinence if you can provide supplies — disposable diapers, wipes, etc. 3) Limited barking (to keep our neighbors happy). 4) Up to date on vaccines and flea prevention. 🧸 DOG/CAT DROP-IN VISITS: We offer feeding, playtime, water bowl refills, litter box cleaning for cat households, and will always ensure your home is secured when we leave. For dogs, we’ll also take them out to potty in your fenced yard or on leash outside. If you prefer a proper walk, please book our walking service instead or book a drop-in and walk service back to back. 🦮 DOG WALKS: We’ll check your dog’s harness/collar/leash for safety and walk them around the neighborhood at their pace. We’ll refill their water bowl and ensure your home is secured when we leave. We never do off-leash walks nor dog parks. 🌟 DROP-IN VISIT & WALK NOTES: Our main requirement is that your pet is not aggressive with humans so we can safely visit/walk them. We understand some animals need a slow introduction, which we can all gauge during the meet and greet. Please note we do not intermingle pets from different households. We look forward to hearing from you and your pet! ♥️ 🗓️ SCHEDULE: Norman and I both work from home. We typically have little to no zoom meetings and will plan accordingly if our meetings ever coincide so your dog is safe and comfortable. We have time in the morning, lunch time, and evening for walks and can take breaks throughout the day. We have some weekends available + flexibility in our weekday work schedule to provide dog care. ⚠️ SAFETY: We will never leave your dog outside unattended. Unless in a fenced yard, your dog will always be on a leash when outside. We do not do off leash outside nor would we have your dog come into contact with other dogs or people on a walk to avoid any emergency situations. We feed all animals separately whether in your home or ours, to prevent allergy issues and resource guarding. We would only feed your pet food and treats provided or approved by you. We are extremely mindful when opening/closing all doors and gates. We always double check leash, collar, and harness security before going out for a walk.
“Savannah was excellent! I appreciated how thorough she was and how she put so much care and intention into caring for my dog, Yuki! We scheduled a meet and greet beforehand so that we could go over some details and get acclimated with each other. On the day of the walk, she followed all of the instructions and sent some cute photos from the walk. Will definitely be working with Savannah again soon!”

About: Hi! I’m Chelsea — a lifelong dog lover and dedicated pet mom based in San Diego. I grew up with a German Shepherd and have always loved dogs. I completely understand how special these pups are and how important it is to trust someone to care for them like family.

“Mihaela is our favorite sitter we have found on rover. She is so sweet and takes such good care of our Ollie. She also sends the best updates. Thank you for all that you do Mihaela!”

“Our Clover always gets the best care with Anar. It’s obvious that she enjoys being there when we’re away. She was wiped out after her last stay and passed out snoring when we got her home. Happy dog!”

“Kaitlin and Verle took such great care of our dog! He was calm and happy when we picked him up, and I would definitely feel comfortable booking again!”

“Cerita and her family were great with Bam Bam! She obviously enjoyed her stay, photos proving she was having a blast! We appreciate the attention and care they gave her!”

“Michelle is amazing! She cared for our Blue as if he were her own. She took him on regular walks and always kept me updated with sweet messages and pictures. Her dogs were wonderful hosts too—they all welcomed Blue into their home with open paws! I highly recommend booking Michelle. She’s reliable, trustworthy, and truly loves animals.”

“Pam was great with our dog Bentley! She was easy to communicate with from day one, clearly a dog lover, and kept us updated on how he was doing. It was a bonus for me that Bentley got to spend time with her dog Xotchil and they went to a dog park daily. I would highly recommend Pam to others and I’m sure we’ll use her in the future again.”

“This is the second time we’ve used Ami for our dog sitting needs. She is reliable, quick to respond and has always been able to help us with such short notice. We appreciate that she sends us daily updates. We know Darwin is in a good place when he zooms up the stairs at drop-off!”

“Hana is a friendly, very experienced dog-lover. She took care of my high-energy puppy for 5 days without any problem, and she also tried to reinforce what we have been doing such as crate training. She is great at regularly sending photos and videos on daily basis.”

“It was our first time booking with Monique and I would 100% book again! We left our dog with her for five nights, and he was well taken care of. We got daily updates and pictures, and we love that she has a work-from-home and fenced yard set-up so that he was with people most of the time. Thank you Monique! Sheep seems like he had a great time with you!”

“Shakyra did a fantastic job, she took great care of our family member, our dog Riley. It was her first time away from home over night. We got a good update and when I went to pick her up the next morning she was calm and relaxed. Shakyra is very pleasant and communicative that alone put us at ease. She get 5 stars from us. Definitely use her again.”

“Sophie had the absolute best time with Sarah and Taylor and their pup Mango! They sent so many fun updates and I rested easy knowing she was in good hands. I think my dog might have had more fun on “vacation” than I did! We will definitely be back to play 🐾”

“Matthew was a godsend! Extremely flexible with day of boarding, and took amazing care of my dog all weekend. She came back super calm and happy. He has a wonderful space and energy. Couldn’t recommend more!”
