I prioritize keeping pets comfortable by following their usual routine in the place they know best. “William went above and beyond caring for my dogs. I have two high energy large breed dogs, a German shepherd and a Labrador retriever. William handled them very well, my dogs love him and I can tell he really cares about them when he’s baby sitting them. He sends me pictures and communicates about their visit. He is very trustworthy, made sure my dogs were safe and comfortable and made me feel very comfortable leaving them under his care. I am very glad to have found him and will definitely be hiring him again!”

“Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of our disgruntled pit bull. In the process of switching sitters and our dog was not being friendly at all when Stephanie showed up, despite the previous meet & greet. Scary to have a pit growling and barking at you but Stephanie was able to win her over. Relieved and impressed, will be rebooking Stephanie regularly.”

“Victoria was great! Quick/easy to communicate, check ins were on time and as discussed, and she seemed to take great care of my cat while I was gone! I will use her in the future.”

“I have three very picky kitty cats. I set up a meet and greet with Sara knowing full well that all three of the cats would scatter and she might not see them at all that day. Boy was I wrong instead of running two of them came to the door to greet her. The third cat didn't run away and even let Sara come pet her! I think it is safe to say that Sara does have some magic or charm that my kitty cats fell in love with. I felt secure and safe having her taking care of my cats, going above and beyond even. I felt at ease giving her the key to our house knowing everything would be okay. I also love using Rover because that is an extra measure of protection for my home and pets. Thank you Sara and Rover!”

“Tara is amazing! Taking care of our sweet bubs while we went out of town for the weekend. Tara kept us updated with playtimes, and potty times as well as sending the cutest photos. On top of all that our sweet boy took an instant liking to Tara and we couldn’t be happier. A great communicator and very professional- we are definitely going to have Tara as our #1 to watch our pup from now on!”

About: In addition to caring for my own lovely cat and senior pup, I have pet sat for friends and family members regularly for the past 10+ years. I have experience with fur babies with a range of quirks, behaviors, and medical needs, so I am prepared for anything that comes my way. I am a graduate student with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to spend caring for critters, especially during the upcoming summer break! I am very careful and safety-conscious, so you can be sure I will leave your home secure and comfortable for your pets when I visit.
About: I love all animals even though some of them you can only admire from afar. At a young age there were birds, fishes and reptiles in my home. I shared care for hamsters and cats. About eight years ago I adopted my current dog, Nellie. She’s a 19 years old with a puppy spirit so I’m pretty good with aging and playful dogs. I’ve taken care of friends and families dogs and cats. I enjoy getting to know and engaging with other pets and will treat them with love and care like my own. I work only work in the office Tuesday-Thursday. In my free time I like spending time exploring new neighborhoods, restaurants and ice cream shops. I think it’s very important to respect other people’s space and will follow all your instructions, double check I locked everything up and make sure everything is safe for your pets when I leave. I’m also use to being very careful when walking dogs because of my own and other dogs I’ve walked. I keep very alert and mindful of my environment.
“Brenda was awesome, we needed someone last second to drop in and hangout with our puppy. She set up a call so we could get to know each other, asked great questions, and provided photos and videos of their time together. We couldn't asked for much more. We will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Maricela was amazing… from being on time to attending to my furry family and just in general everything, her communication was top notch… everything… 10/10 I would hire again in a heartbeat…”

About: My friends and neighbors count on me to check on and sit their animals, and I regularly walk my own pups with their neighborhood furry friends. I grew up with Rottweilers, and have embraced small dogs in recent years. I'm 6ft and 200lbs, and am comfortable with a variety of sizes of dogs. I currently have total flexibility in my schedule and am happy to help with pet care throughout the day. I'm just getting started on Rover, but I've been a dedicated pet parent for almost a decade and love the way it enriches my life. I'd be happy to extend the same level of care and understanding I give to my own pets to yours. I live with my two pups in a small condo complex, where I have an enclosed back patio and immediate access to a very walkable neighborhood. I am comfortable entering friends' homes and allowing the animals to acclimate at their own pace, and am just as happy taking pets for walks as I am keeping them company in their own homes.
“Callahan was wonderful as a cat sitter in every way! She responded right away and booked at very short notice. Our cat warmed up to her right away. Callahan sent great photos and communicated very thoughtfully and enthusiastically. We are really grateful and look forward to booking again with her!”

About: I am an extreme dog lover and aim to reciprocate the unconditional love they give us. I am my friends’ go to dog sitter whenever they go out of town! I work a full time hybrid job. I WFH on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. Also a full time dog mom who makes time for my doggo in any way that i can! My dog is my life. His needs go over mine and even when i watch a dog that is not mine i treat it like it is.
“Yesenia is awesome and has extensive experience with both cats and dogs. She was so patient with Axl as he is a puppy and a bit shy around people. She is responsive, has great communication during check-ins and take lots of pics. Thank you Yesenia 😃!”

“So appreciative of Jessica for watching my lil guy while I was at the office. She not only sent photos and kept me updated (great communication) but she spent time to clean up my place after his accident and I wouldn’t have noticed had she not told me. Highly recommended!!”

About: Hello! I'm Charlie I've been working for over 12 years taking care of children and on occasion, pets. I'm hoping to add more animals to my life as I am going through nursing school, the stress relief and excuse to get outside that furry friends offer is immeasurable! I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs as an occasional sitter/walker and home co-habitant and have had a wonderful feisty cat for over 14 years. (She stays at home unless otherwise specified) I have the most experience with older dogs, and manage to win over even the most tentative of furry family members. (I'm also shy, so I attribute it to mutual awkwardness.) I have experience giving eye drops, disguising medications as treats (or convincing stubbon animals to take medication) and I am experienced in giving injections. I'm more comfortable and experienced with medium and larger dogs , cats of all sizes and temperaments (but i will not turn down the opportunity to make a small dog, bunny, scaley or feathered friend!) . I've experienced some mischievous puppy antics that have led to my finding out that I can keep level headed in an emergency. As I mentioned above, I work in childcare, so I have experience performing work unsupervised in other peoples' homes, am in nursing school (so background checks are no issue) and can provide necessary references if requested to ensure my trustworthiness. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about me and my experience. Thank you. I'm currently in school part-time for my BSN while searching for new grad RN positions and helping out with a local nursing association. I have a very flexible schedule and can often work around your needs. I usually housesit In a client's home while they are away, but am open to drop-ins. I try and follow a furry friend's routine as closely as possible and if I can't on a day, I make sure that they always get enough potty breaks and adjust walks accordingly. I do tend to take the longest walks in the AM (30-45 min) + before bed (30-1 hr) with shorter 15-30 min "potty" walks during the day . I take into account their needs (feeding/medication/b&b evacuation times) & normal excursion times and my schedule and plan the week out in advance. Written instructions help me with daily tasks or pet personality quirks if they are more set in their ways. I'm happy to water plants, gather mail, take out trash and am comfortable communicating with vendors (repairment, pest control etc) if they need to visit when you are away. I treat the home better than I treat my own and aim to maintain (or exceed) the level of cleanliness that existed when I arrived. I'm not shy when it comes to vacuuming, laundering linens & pet bedding as needed while I am staying.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - El Cerritos
Andrew’s great for dropping in visits with Bailey. He comes and takes care of her multiple times a week. He does short walks with her because she’s an older dog and fills her water bowl and plays with her a little bit. She loves when he comes to visit when I need to work late.

Sarah is amazing! She has been a great sitter for our four cats. What impressed us the most was how she managed to connect with our extremely shy cat, who usually hides from everyone and trusts no one but us. Sarah is a true cat whisperer, and we couldn't be happier with her care!

Stephanie was so amazing with our dog and cats. She sent lots of pictures and you could tell that they were so happy. Stephanie was very prompt with the times she was supposed to come to our house. It was such a relief knowing the animals were well taken care of.
Stephanie went above and beyond to take care of our disgruntled pit bull. In the process of switching sitters and our dog was not being friendly at all when Stephanie showed up, despite the previous meet & greet. Scary to have a pit growling and barking at you but Stephanie was able to win her over. Relieved and impressed, will be rebooking Stephanie regularly.
