“We went out of town for a few days and had Leo house sit and watch our two pups. We loved the daily updates and the dogs seemed very happy when we got home. We really appreciated Leo taking care of our home and our dogs while we were away and would definitely hire him again.”

“Audrey was awesome! I am always super hesitant to leave my 2 year old Frenchie with anyone but I won’t hesitate to book Audrey again! She sent many updates, followed instructions, and took great care of Benny! Thanks Audrey.”

“We had Tara stay at our house to look after our 2 cats and 1 dog for a few nights. She was absolutely wonderful. The house looked exactly liked we left it. She was so clean and respectful. We felt so comfortable that everything was taken care of and all the updates took our worries away.”

“We love Carolyn and would absolutely recommend her! We’ve used Carolyn for both drop-in visits and longer-term overnight stays. We first discovered Carolyn we had an older, very senior, frail terrier who required much care and supervision. That terrier has (sadly) now passed. But we have two rescued adult terriers, one of whom is a timid, anxious boy. Carolyn has been so good with all of our dogs, even the high maintenance senior and my nervous boy. I’m not sure how Carolyn got the anxious one to warm up to her instantly, but he just had a lovely weekend spent mainly on her lap. Carolyn is both super trust-worthy and super good with all types of dogs. She is our favorite dog-sitter in the valley!!”

“We are so grateful to have found Dee! Our extremely shy-with-strangers cat even let Dee pet her a couple of times, which is a major milestone to us! Dee responded to our communications right away and thoughtfully sent us a video of her interaction with our Jett. We felt so reassured knowing she was here to mind both Jett and our home. We definitely will be asking Dee to stay again.”

“This is the first time that Nick has watched my 2 dogs and he did a fantastic job. My dogs were happy and healthy when I got home and seemed to love him watching them. One of my dogs is very energetic, and quite frankly, a total spazz and Nick did a great job dealing with her energy. He sent photos and messages during the brief stay and my home was clean when I got home. I'm using Nick again in a few weeks and it's a great comfort knowing that my dogs will be well cared for while I'm away.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for nearly my entire life. My responsible instincts and passionate attitude have made me a reliable pet sitter for friends, neighbors, and family. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds and I love them all! I know how much our furry friends matter, which is why I always take the owner into consideration when communicating care for your companion. I’m currently working remotely which leaves me plenty of time to care for your critter during the week. I am also available most weekends. I don’t currently have any pets of my own, so I can stay with your pet for as long as you need. I respect all the care instructions of the owner while using my own background knowledge to make up for the rest. I have experience crate training and potty training. I know the importance of routine for dogs which is why I am consistent and thoughtful in my approach, while remaining flexible to the needs of your pet.

“Callahan is very communicative and takes great care of our home and big guy Ike! Always know he is in good hands and she is sure to keep us updated along the way. Would trust Callahan with my home and dog any day!”

“Julia was amazing with my dog and cat while I was away. She kept me updated with sweet messages and photos, and I could tell my pets were really happy and well cared for. When I got home, everything was clean and my pets were relaxed and content. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I’d definitely ask Julia to watch them again, highly recommend her!”

About: My family has owned animals all my life and I have taken care of my current two dogs and my 3 cats for most of my life. I love pet sitting and it would be an honor to get to know your pets. I am a full time college student at SDSU so I am not available on some weekdays but I have Fridays as well as the weekends free to pet sit. I will make sure your dogs get plenty of time outside on walks and many bathroom breaks while I’m watching them. I can feed cats or dogs at anytime and can dedicate a lot of time to your pets.

“Lilia is amazing! This was our first time using Rover & we needed a house sitter since our old pup, Annie, is happiest at home. Lilia not only took great care of Annie, but also our property. Her daily updates were always a highlight and overall Lilia is a stellar communicator. We're excited to continue working with her for upcoming trips and are super grateful for her help.”

“Justine was great! Very responsive, kept us updated the whole time with pics and text, flexible with pick up & drop off (esp considering our flight home was delayed), and was even kind enough to do a meet up beforehand to make sure our pup was comfortable while we were gone.”

About: Clearly, animals love me as much as I love them. I'm trustworthy, responsible, and reliable. I have 3 adorable cats. But I have experience taking care of and house sitting cats and dogs. Friends always call on me to watch their pets when they go out of town. I love playing with cats and taking dogs on walks and to the park. Book me for all of your animal needs! I am available during the week and anytime during the weekends. So work those late shifts, go on those trips and vacations, and have peace of mind knowing that your four-legged family member is well taken care of. I work from home, and have a very flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to watch your fur children any time of day. The safety of your pet is my #1 concern! I treat my pets with respect and care, and that definitely extends to watching and caring for your animals.

“I have a large energetic dog who is great with people but bad with all other dogs, which means when I go away I can't board him in a traditional doggy daycare. Recently I had a 10-day trip, which was my first experience having someone from Rover house- and pet-sit for me. Luke did a great job. One of the best things about Luke, especially relative to some of the college-aged sitters on here, was that he was reliable and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. I booked the job months in advance, and had some anxiety because if for some reason he had to cancel last minute, I would be in a real spot to try to set something up quickly enough. Fortunately, he was reassuring and consistent throughout. I also appreciated that Luke is a big man, given that my dog is very strong and can pull very hard if he sees other dogs while walking. On top of that, everything went more or less as well as one could hope. He showed up on time and communicated throughout my trip. My dog was fed and exercised and cared for. He left the house as clean as it was when he arrived. He even coordinated with some other friends of mine who wanted to see my dog while I was away, which was appreciated. I strongly recommend this responsible adult and would use again.”

“Amanda was a wonderful dog sitter for our fur babies! Not only was she communicative and caring, but when our flights go cancelled, she stepped in for an emergency extra night. We could tell by our boys reaction upon our return that they had been well-cared for. We hope to have Amanda care for them again!”

“Our dog has severe separation anxiety and Maria had the most calming effect on her! She wasn’t stressed at all when we got home after 3 days, a miracle! Maria was so kind, professional, caring, and responsive throughout the dog sit. We will definitely be using her again soon!”

“Lily showed up on time and Penny seemed to really enjoy cuddling with her! She sent me lots of pictures too. Lily was booked many weeks in advance. Very reliable and great communication would highly recommend Lily!”

“Maureen was amazing giving us updates and sending pictures so we felt at ease even when we were across the country from our Lily. She also left a super sweet note and magnet she’d made. Will definitely be rebooking.”

“Nichelle is FANTASTIC! I have a pound pup mutt that has a lot of separation anxiety issues and an eye for the mail man so it's always stressful for me to leave her at home. When Nichelle watches her it's like I've never left--my little fur monster is on her best behavior and doesn't even notice I'm gone. Nichelle sticks to the doggy schedule and keeps my fur baby well exercised and taken care of (She's taking care of her in a few weeks actually!). Would highly recommend!”
