We first discovered Carolyn we had an older, very senior, frail terrier who required much care and supervision. That terrier has (sadly) now passed. But we have two rescued adult terriers, one of whom is a timid, anxious boy. Carolyn has been so good with all of our dogs, even the high maintenance senior and my nervous boy. I’m not sure how Carolyn got the anxious one to warm up to her instantly, but he just had a lovely weekend spent mainly on her lap. Carolyn is both super trust-worthy and super good with all types of dogs. She is our favorite dog-sitter in the valley!!”

I am a full time college student at SDSU so I am not available on some weekdays but I have Fridays as well as the weekends free to pet sit. “I have a large energetic dog who is great with people but bad with all other dogs, which means when I go away I can't board him in a traditional doggy daycare. Recently I had a 10-day trip, which was my first experience having someone from Rover house- and pet-sit for me. Luke did a great job. One of the best things about Luke, especially relative to some of the college-aged sitters on here, was that he was reliable and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. I booked the job months in advance, and had some anxiety because if for some reason he had to cancel last minute, I would be in a real spot to try to set something up quickly enough. Fortunately, he was reassuring and consistent throughout. I also appreciated that Luke is a big man, given that my dog is very strong and can pull very hard if he sees other dogs while walking. On top of that, everything went more or less as well as one could hope. He showed up on time and communicated throughout my trip. My dog was fed and exercised and cared for. He left the house as clean as it was when he arrived. He even coordinated with some other friends of mine who wanted to see my dog while I was away, which was appreciated. I strongly recommend this responsible adult and would use again.”
