There a lifelong best friend. As a college student, my schedule is pretty flexible. I have classes Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I’m free most of the week and have plenty of time to care for your pup! About: Doggy Mama of 10 years for my sweet Wheaten Terrier, Suki! I have been with her for all stages of life: curious puppy, energetic teenager, and mellow adult. This has taught me how to adjust towards whatever needs your pet may have. No matter the attention your furry friend needs— whether it be downtime and cuddles, or zoomies and long walks— I am here to provide! I can administer medication, and will easily adapt to the schedule/routine that your pet requires. I am a sophomore student at San Diego State University, majoring in Criminal Justice. I have classes Monday-Thursday starting at 12:00pm and ending by 4:00pm. I live on campus and have a car so transportation is not an issue. I am able to pet sit at anytime throughout the week that I don’t have classes- and am willing to stay over night and/or through the weekends. Caring for your companion will vary depending on personality and routine but there are definitely some core principles that I carry with me. First one being respect— respect of your home, respect of your animals needs and wants, and respect of your time. I will be present as much as I can be, even if that means just sitting in the same room as them. Another core value, depending on your pet, is exercise. It doesn’t matter if it’s a long walk, a short and slow walk, or even just interacting with toys— something that gets them moving and keeps them entertained. And a big one is love, I promise to absolutely adore your animal and show them kindness in whatever ways they need. That could look like self care: brushing their coat, massaging stiff joints. That could look like affection: rubbing on them, talking to them, and making sure they know i’m here for them. And that could also mean giving them space. Any adjustment that I can make to give you and your pet a smooth experience, I would love to do.
“Elijah was fantastic! I have a rescue pitbull who can sometimes get spooked by strangers coming into the house. I asked Elijah to meet us a day early so I could introduce them properly and he was happy to do so. While he was dog sitting he sent a ton of cute photos of the pups and updated me periodically so I knew everything was going smoothly. He’s the first dog sitter I’ve trusted outside of family members and everything went great! 10/10 highly recommend!”
About: Growing up wanted a dog but my parents allow it so did the next best thing which was dog sit for my neighbors. So I have many years of experience sitting all types of dogs. Love the company of a wonderful dog. There’s nothing like the energy from a happy pup that loves to play. I just started training for a half marathon I’ll be running in March, so if your dog is used to or if you want me get him/her active, i would be able to do so. About: I’ve taken care of animals for over 14 years. Friends, neighbors, family, friends of friends, I’ve spent 20+ weekends a year house/pet sitting, and have averaged 3 dog walks a week for the last 3 years. I also have my Dog, Cat, and Pet First Aid Certificate as well as my Pet CPR Training Certificate from American Red Cross. Right now, I’m taking online courses for my profession. In between classes I would like to take breaks by taking care of animals. It’s both a stress reliever and something I love to do. Karilou was wonderful with Pina and we couldn’t have been happier with her care! Communication was excellent throughout her stay. She sent us daily updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Karilou followed all of Pina’s care instructions carefully, including her medications and special needs. Pina was happy, comfortable, and clearly very well cared for when we came home. She also kept our house absolutely spotless, which we really appreciated. Paige was absolutely incredible. She house sat for my sister and our dogs. One super high energy, one a little more temperamental and needing lots of love. She met both of their needs so well. They immediately loved her upon meeting. Paige also was incredible communicative and flexible with our schedules. She provided regular updates and adjusted quickly when one of our dogs needed medicine daily unexpectedly. Would absolutely recommend Paige!!
Jack is SO GREAT. One of my dogs is a mean little barky boy, and Jack was so patient with him. After a few hours, my dog became so comfortable with Jack he was laying in his lap, demanding belly rubs. Since, I’ve had Jack back again to watch the dogs, and he’s a great houseguest. Very courteous, so responsible, and great at communicating. My pups can’t wait to have him back!
Chai did an AMAZING job watching our dog, cat, and house! Our dog had to have an unplanned surgery shortly before our trip, but Chai took it all in stride. She dealt with medications, a cone, puppy pajamas, exercise restrictions, and gave us plenty of updates, despite our 9 hour time difference. She left the house very clean, and the plants much happier and healthier than when we left them. She was thoughtful, communicative, and put us at ease on our long trip away from the fur babies. We would definitely ask Chai to come back! 😊
Jade was great! It was our first time leaving our dog, Chewy, in the care of someone else, and he’s a difficult client 😅 (aka not being very friendly with strangers!) Jade was very patient and kind with him and sent us updates and pictures throughout our time away, which we really appreciated. Patricia did a fantastic job caring for our pets and home! This was my husband’s and my first time ever using Rover and our first time having someone we didn’t know stay overnight in our home, so we were definitely a little nervous going into it. We have three pets, two dogs and a special-needs cat. They all have very different personalities and needs. Our cat also requires both topical and oral medications, so I had quite a few specific instructions for her care. Patricia did an amazing job tailoring her care to each of our pets individually and making sure everyone was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. It was clear that she genuinely cared about each of them. I tend to be very specific and detailed with instructions, and Patricia respected every single one of them. She was also incredibly flexible and communicative, which made the entire experience so much easier and gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She sent a daily morning update with pictures, which was the perfect amount of communication. We always knew our pets were doing well without feeling overwhelmed by constant messages while we were trying to enjoy our time away. She was also extremely responsive whenever I reached out and always got back to me quickly, which really helped ease my stress while we were away. I was especially impressed with how well she left our home. Everything was just as clean and organized as I had left it, which I really appreciated. Overall, Patricia went above and beyond, and I couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. I felt completely comfortable knowing my pets were in her care. She is 100% worth the money, and we will absolutely be booking Patricia again in the future!
Hayden watched Finnley and Maxwell while I was away for a long weekend. He was friendly and spent time playing with both of them, which I appreciated.
