“Allison took great care of our dog! Junie has separation anxiety and takes medicine every morning and night, and it was so great to know she was in good hands with Allison. We got daily updates on how everything was going, and Allison was always quick to respond to texts. Our house was also in perfect condition when we got home, with all towels and dishes washed. It’s always such a relief to find a good pet sitter, and I’m so glad we found Allison!”

“Rosa was simply the best to work with. She provided constant updates and photos and gave us the best of care. I was going thru a loss in my family and Rosa gave me peace of mind knowing Shaka was being well taken care of. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and would book again.”

“Sarah was an excellent dog and house sitter. We left for 10 days and felt completely comfortable and at ease with Sarah being with our two dogs. She provided regular updates, gave them snuggles, played with them and was great watering our plants while we were away to keep the house nice. Our dogs love her so it was a match made in heaven!”

“One of the best sitters I have had some pet sitters on this app are absolutely horrible and have mis treated my Pomeranian. But she was so nice and respectful and did so amazing with my dog highly recommended and I booked her again immediately God bless”

About: I have taken care of many different animals, dogs, cats, bunnies, reptiles. I am very clean and careful. I spend intentional time with the animals and love on them as if they were my own. I’m currently working part time as a nanny, some days I don’t work at all and on those days I have lots of time to take care of your fur babies! I will spend lots of time with your babies. I will take them on walks, bathe them if necessary, give them their food, and spend lots of quality time with them. I will care for them as my own.

About: I've had cats for roommates since 2014 and have been cat-dad to my own two fur babies, Avocado and Coconut, since 2021. (I even have experience rearing kittens since Coconut, a stray living in our carport, unexpectedly gave birth to five (!) babies that have since been rehomed.) Before I was a cat-dad, my best friends were two dogs named Elvis and Thunder who I spent my adolescent years with on my family farm in Central Illinois. Nowadays, I visit my furry nephew, Hamilton, as often as I can. (My status as cat-dad might imply that I'm partial to cats, but, between you and me, I'm the most excited to join Rover's team of sitters because it means I get to meet and play with lots of doggos, something that's been missing from my life!) What sets me apart from other sitters is that I'm the kind of guy who puts animals first. You'll never hear me calling me fur-babies my cats; they're my children. You can rest assured that your fur-babies are in safe hands with me. Currently in between regular jobs, so I am very flexible and available to sit at short notice. I'm available on both weekends and weekdays. I recently moved into a spacious 2-bed apartment in Mission Valley. My unit is carpeted, in case your fur baby has specific requirements. My fur babies are fully indoors cats, with no access to the patios (which are locked at all times). They use a Litter Robot self-cleaning litter box. I am very conscious about keeping my babies safe and have cat-proofed the apartment, including keeping the bathroom doors closed at all times.
“Austin house sit for us for 6 days to take care of our Mini Schnauzer. I can tell she really likes him and that's what matters most! He's friendly, sent photos each day, and kept our home clean. We have already booked him again for some upcoming walks. We will definitely request him again for future doggy care needs.”

“Once again, Dwayne took great care of my reactive, temperamental mid-sized dog, Jacques, while I was away for a week. He messaged me daily with photos and an update, and alerted me when Jacques had a rough night with some stomach issue. He understood how to handle Jacques' unreliable moods and behavior, gave a twice daily medication, and followed our normal routine for feeding and walks. Jacques was very calm and chill when I returned home. Highly recommend for his ability to handle difficult dogs!”

“Evelyn spent four nights at my place with Poppy. She sent thorough updates and photos, and made sure my plants were also cared for. I can tell Poppy loves Evelyn as she looked so relaxed and playful in the photos. She adhered to our routines and left the house sparkling clean. Will definitely hire Evelyn for future visits!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West University Heights
Sara watched my three pets (2 cats and 1 dog) for me and did a wonderful job! All the animals were super comfortable with her, even the usually anxious cat quickly warmed up to her. She communicated with me the entire time, sent great photos, and left the house clean. We will definitely be re-booking her next time we travel.

Tina was absolutely wonderful, and we're so grateful she took such great care of Bella while we were away. This was our first time leaving Bella, so we were definitely a little nervous, but Tina immediately put our minds at ease. She sent updates and photos throughout the stay, which meant so much to us. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and a house that was absolutely spotless. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would happily book Tina again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring house and pet sitter!

Marci truly went above and beyond, while caring for our dog. She kept me super updated and sent lots of photos & videos. She brought Sadie everywhere with her and really kept us in the loop which put me so at ease. At one point she took her to brunch with a dog bed and got her special food. She dealt with my anxiety kindly. She even did our laundry and dishes which was over the top nice. Highly recommend! We’ll for sure be using her again!

Our pack of 3 dogs and 1 cat were very happy with Asha and Dwayne while we were away for a week. Everyone was happy upon our return and they left the house so clean! We greatly appreciate them taking extra care with both our wild young dog and senior who takes medication. We will be happy to book them again in the future!

Halle puppy sat for us 2 days in a row. She’s amazing! What we appreciated: She’s very responsive, was always on time or early, and made sure she was clear about instructions and details. Jinx is 6mo old and has some training but is still very much a work in progress. Halle has been patient and kind and we will definitely book her again as needs arise.

Kelly was wonderful and we are so grateful we found her. She was quick to respond and available last minute, which we really appreciated. This was our first time leaving our dog, so it was incredibly stressful for us. Kelly did an amazing job taking care of our girl and helping us feel more comfortable while we were away. My husband and I both work from home, so our dog is used to having us around most of the day and is not used to being alone for long periods. Kelly made sure to adapt to our dog’s schedule, routine, and needs. She sent us pictures and videos, which really helped reassure us that our dog was doing well. Kelly was flexible, attentive, and very caring toward both our dog’s needs and our concerns as anxious pet parents. Seeing how well our dog did with her gave us so much peace of mind. We are very glad we found Kelly and would definitely ask her to take care of our girl again in the future.

I was going for a brief trip out of town and Elijah was responsive and ready to help. After he came for a meet and greet with my dog, I felt confident leaving her with him. Throughout the trip, Elijah provided updates and pics. House was the same as when I left. Would definitely book again.

Austin house sit for us for 6 days to take care of our Mini Schnauzer. I can tell she really likes him and that's what matters most! He's friendly, sent photos each day, and kept our home clean. We have already booked him again for some upcoming walks. We will definitely request him again for future doggy care needs.

Sarah was awesome! She watched our dog and cat for 10 nights and you could tell they were more than comfortable with her. She made them feel very loved and she was exceptionally helpful with our dog who has bad anxiety with fireworks. She was extremely communicative and sent great pictures and updates. She even helped water all of our plants and the house was just as clean as we left it. We will definitely use Sarah again!

Andrea was absolutely incredible! My dog has extreme separation anxiety, and she went above and beyond to make him feel safe and comfortable. She stepped in at the last minute over a holiday weekend, completely saving us when we needed help most. She was attentive, reliable, communicative, and sent frequent updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She treated my dog like her own, was incredibly responsible, kept everything clean, and was always willing to help in any way she could. Andrea truly exceeded every expectation. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable. We are so grateful for her and will definitely book with her again!
