“Kristin is amazing! She sent photos and communicated the entire time on my trip. I never had to worry that my dog and cat weren’t receiving the best care. I could tell she treated girls and home like her own. I also came home to a spotless house - so thankful!”

“Elijah was fantastic! I have a rescue pitbull who can sometimes get spooked by strangers coming into the house. I asked Elijah to meet us a day early so I could introduce them properly and he was happy to do so. While he was dog sitting he sent a ton of cute photos of the pups and updated me periodically so I knew everything was going smoothly. He’s the first dog sitter I’ve trusted outside of family members and everything went great! 10/10 highly recommend!”

“Kaitie watched over my Shiba Inu, Sushi while I was out of town for a quick work event. Sushi was clearly very happy and in great care, she even dropped her off and picked her up from her regular weekly doggy daycare. I got daily update and adorable pictures.”

“Sarah was an excellent dog and house sitter. We left for 10 days and felt completely comfortable and at ease with Sarah being with our two dogs. She provided regular updates, gave them snuggles, played with them and was great watering our plants while we were away to keep the house nice. Our dogs love her so it was a match made in heaven!”

“Rosa was simply the best to work with. She provided constant updates and photos and gave us the best of care. I was going thru a loss in my family and Rosa gave me peace of mind knowing Shaka was being well taken care of. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and would book again.”

“Amy was amazing! Before we even did the booking, she suggested a meet up which she was very communicative in scheduling. Previously, I had a bad experience with another Rover that I informed Amy of. I let her know my expectations and she was extremely receptive. When I was on my trip, she sent me pictures and updates frequently which put me at ease. She stayed two nights at my house and she kept the place clean and tidy. My dog was very happy and relaxed when I came home! I will 100% use Amy again! Thank you!”

“Elizabeth is great - she takes my dog to the beach every day! Good communication including lots of adorable photos 🙂 my house is always just how I left it. I will definitely continue to book with Elizabeth.”

“Daphne’s care is next level! She sent me so many pictures and was incredibly commutative. I have never felt so comfortable leaving my animal in somebody’s hands before. My cat seemed so happy, playful, and cuddly while I was away while she normally can take time to warm up - this speaks to Daphne’s experience with animals, kindness and ability to connect with animals! Thank you so much for an incredible experience Daphne!!”

“Evelyn did a great job taking care of our dog and our home while we were away. She is very quick to respond and kept us updated with many pictures of walks, meals, meds, and naps. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Candice was excellent in taking care of Kuma in-house while I was out of town. She was communicative and provided occasional updates on Kuma. She was a clean guest and left my home and guest room in great shape. She let me know that Kuma dry heaved during her watch, which I appreciate because now I know I can ask the vet about it during her checkup. I would recommend her for you and your fur child and would hire again! :)”
“Once again Dwayne took good care of my temperamental dog Jacques. He sent pictures and updates, stuck to our routine for walks, feeding, and medicine. I appreciate that he lets me know anything out of the ordinary, no matter how big or small. Thanks Dwayne!”

“Great sitters! Very good communication letting me know my dog was safe, happy, and well cared for. Took very good care of my house - everything was great upon returning home from a week long trip. Book them if you want good care and peace of mind while you’re away.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Leah! She watched our dog for 10 days and did an amazing job. She followed all of our instructions carefully, kept us updated with regular check-ins, and left our home looking great when we returned. Most importantly, our pup was clearly well cared for and happy. Leah gave us real peace of mind while we were away, and we’d absolutely trust her again in the future. Highly recommend!”

About: Consistent communicative care ❤️ Fully remote job, home most days, not gone 9 to 5 - Very flexible with scheduling, including same-day requests - Meet and greet in person when possible, FaceTime available for same-day bookings What You Get: - Photo and text updates throughout every stay - Immediate communication if anything unexpected comes up - Rain or shine, if I’m booked, I’m there I don’t do this as a side gig I tolerate. I love dogs, and every dog in my care gets treated like family: safe, comfortable, genuinely enjoyed. Based in Hillcrest, San Diego, a neighborhood that welcomes everyone, and that’s exactly how I treat every dog and every client who comes through my door. Availability: Daytime visits, evenings, weekends, overnight stays, and extended bookings. Because my own work is remote, I can often be in your home for much of the day during house sits rather than gone for hours at a stretch, so your dog gets real company, not just a drop-in. Routine: Walks, meals, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and one-on-one attention, kept as close to normal as possible. Every dog settles differently, so if yours has a unique routine or special needs, we’ll build a specific care plan together before the booking starts. Communication: Regular photo and text updates throughout the stay, so you know exactly how things are going and can actually enjoy your time away. Getting to Know Your Dog: Every dog and every family is different. Before a booking, we cover routine, personality, favorite activities, medical needs, and any house rules that matter to you, so care feels familiar instead of like a stranger stepping in. Safety: Close attention during walks, doors and gates secured, feeding and medication instructions followed exactly, decisions made around your dog’s actual needs rather than guesswork. If something feels outside what I can safely handle, you’ll hear that before the booking is confirmed, not after. A clear no beats a promise I can’t keep. In Your Home: Regular photo and text updates throughout the stay. Mail and packages brought in, plants watered, everything left clean and exactly as I found it. Your home and your dog get the same care I’d want for my own. Lulu: My own dog, Lulu, is calm and well-socialized, and she’s sometimes available to join walks if your dog enjoys other dogs’ company. Always discussed ahead of time, and only if it’s a good fit for both of them.

“Brenda was great! Our first time using a river service and she totally put our mind at ease!! Very responsive and we appreciate her daily check in!! Definitely will book Brenda again”

“Shelby took great care of my pup and house while I was out of town. She accommodated a very last minute request and I came back to a happy dog and very tidy house. Would recommend!”

“Anna was amazing! She sent daily updates and was so good with our senior dogs. They were happy when we came home and she took great care of our place while housesitting.”

About: I'm currently a full time stay at home mom and dog mom, I'm very fortunate to do something that I absolutely love! I have a large family, 5 children (but only 3 of them still live at home) my husband and my two fur children. My home is dog friendly, your pup will love it! I have a small yard that they can enjoy supervised play in, but we enjoy going for long walks or spending time in the house together most of all. Everyone in the house absolutely loves dogs and they all help to take care of the them, so they will be there to provide a loving family environment for your pet. If your dog needs lots of attention and love, they'll really enjoy staying with us. My hope is that your puppies go back home tired and happy! :) I am very excited to meet you and your pups. I miss having a full house and having some furry guests definitely keeps me busy! Please reach out to me with any questions and I can't wait to hear from you! Being a stay at home moms gives me the ability to be with the pups all day for the most part, I sometimes run errands and such, but you can rest assured that the pups never stay alone in our home. My drop off and pick up schedule is from 8am through 8pm but I sometimes make exceptions for my clients (please message me if you need early or late pick up or drop off). I have a fenced yard where they get to have supervised play and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. We always feed dogs separately for safety reasons. I also encourage dog parents to bring their pup's kennel if that's what they are used to, I find that it gives them a space to hang out where they feel safe if they're feeling a little tired or overwhelmed. I can't wait to meet and care for your pup!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West University Heights
Valeria is fantastic. She’s a sweetheart! She is super responsive and gives great feedback on the status of our pets. I have a very high energy dog and she handles her great. I have zero worries when Valeria watches our pets. Our place was immaculate when we got back. I highly recommend her to anyone.
Sarah is truly a gem! She immediately hit it off with our 2-year old golden retriever Jackson. She took him on several walks throughout the day and we could see from the pictures she sent that our boy was having a great day while we were away. Sarah is warm, friendly, reliable and clearly loves caring for our furry companions. We highly recommend Sarah and will definitely ask her to stay with Jackson again.

Our dogs loved Andrea the moment they met her. This was the first time we used the houses it option and Andrea did a great job. She sent many photos and kept us up to date on everything. The house was super clean when we got home and she even did laundry. We will definately use Andrea again. She was wonderful!

Claudia came to our rescue when we needed daytime sitting for a couple of days last minute. She made the effort to get acquainted with our dog before starting. Claudia was very caring and gentle with our fur baby, who is generally anxious with strangers, especially without us there with her. We got updates with photos throughout the day, which were very comforting and appreciated. We're really grateful for Claudia's service, and would absolutely go to her again.
Alan took such great care of our pups! He was responsive and provided updates and did really well with following care instructions. The dogs were very mellow and calm after we came back and usually they’re a lot more high energy, which goes to show that they really enjoyed their time with him and were comfortable with him. 100% would rebook with him!

Anna Julia is the perfect pet sitter. My dog Lou Lou loved her from the very beginning. She followed my directions perfectly and asked me all the right questions. She sent me frequent photos and reports on Lou's goings-ons. Lou is very playful and energetic and Anna Julia kept up with her. :) I will definitely ask her to sit for us again. Highly recommend!

As a nervous rover first timer, Nancy could not have done any better! She was amazing for two nights with our two fur babies, and I think we have found a dog sitter to add to our contact list. We have a senior dog on many medications and she kept all on schedule, and the babies both ate well for her. NANCY IS A GREAT FIND!!!
We are giving Janet 5/5. This was our first time using Rover and we are happy with who we picked. Her past reviews are true! She cares for your dog like if they were hers, and tries to be as helpful as possible. She asked questions when things were unclear and was able to make us(doggy parents) feel comfortable. We felt like our fluff child was in good hands. She communicated and made sure our special pomerenian was attended for. We will be booking with her again.

Emily was great! She gave updates and pics regularly and made me feel like I could take the time away from home. My dog is a senior and has become a finicky eater…especially when I am gone. Emily had to hand feed him multiple times…she took the time to care for him and I’m sure it wasn’t easy.
