About: Hi, I’m Kirra, a San Diego based dog walker and sitter with over 250 five-star reviews and a lifelong connection to animals. I’ve grown up around pets of all kinds, and caring for them isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am! I’m deeply attuned to animal energy and behavior, which allows me to quickly build trust, even with shy or anxious pets. I’m experienced with animals of all ages and temperaments and take a calm, grounded approach, meeting each pet where they are and helping them feel safe, relaxed, and understood. I’m active, fully present, and give 100% of my attention to the animals in my care. Your pets aren’t just watched, they’re genuinely cared for, respected, and loved as if they were my own. I’ve lived in Point Loma for the past 15 years and truly cherish being close to the ocean. I love walking throughout the neighborhood, exploring the beach, and spending time in local parks. Being outdoors is a big part of who I am, and it naturally carries into how I care for animals. I’m highly responsible, intentional, and thoughtful in everything I do. I treat every pet as if they were my own and make their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priority. I can’t wait to meet your furry family members and care for them with the love and attention they deserve. I have a small fenced yard. We have a bright sun filled home and welcome all pets. I provide a cozy home environment and will treat your pets like family!! The dogs I care for only get the best! I provide filtered water, organic home cooked meals if needed and wholesome treats to keep your pups healthy and energized! I am also available to drop in and check on your pets in your home if you would prefer that.
“Grateful for the care of our furry handful—he really can be a handful due to his dog aggression—and the excellent communication that Dwayne provided. I felt comfortable and confident leaving Pongo in Dwayne's care, which has not always been the case with other sitters. When we returned home, Pongo looked fat and happy. (He always looks fat.) And our house looked great.”

About: Hi! I’m a reliable, dog loving sitter with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all kinds, from my family’s Rottweiler to dogs I’ve watched for friends, family, past employers and current employers :). I know every dog is different, so I focus on making them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to build my day around pet care. I also like to stay active, which makes dog walks a natural part of my routine. Whether it’s morning, midday, or evening, I can be available to give your dog the attention and care they need. I usually just follow whatever routine your dog is already used to (feeding times, walks, playtime, all of that) so nothing feels off for them. In your home, I try to keep things as normal and low stress as possible. If they’re with me, they’ll get regular walks, attention, and a calm, clean space to hang out. I’m pretty attentive and good at picking up on what a dog needs, whether that’s more activity or just time to chill.
“Fantastic, warm, and wonderful! Alexa is professional and took great care of our golden, Riley. She kept us updated with photos, and clearly spent a lot of fun hours walking and playing with Riley. Plus she left my house absolutely spotless! Have already booked her for our next trip.”

“Susan was the best! She went above and beyond to make Peanut feel comfortable and take him on plenty of outings. She kept me posted with pics and texts throughout my trip. I felt very reassured knowing that he was with someone who was treating him as their own. I’ll be reaching out to Susan for my future trips!”

Wooded Area pet parents share their Rover experiences
Madelaine has consistently taken excellent care of our Belgian Malinois, Juke. She has cared for him multiple times when we’ve been away and has always gone above and beyond to make sure his needs are met. Juke is a high energy dog, and Madelaine does a fantastic job matching his energy level. She makes sure he gets plenty of exercise through walks, runs, and playing frisbee, which is so important for his breed. We always feel confident knowing he is getting both the physical activity and attention he needs. One thing we especially appreciate is her communication. She is thorough, asks questions, and wants to know all the details to ensure Juke receives the best possible care. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. We highly recommend Madelaine to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and active dog sitter. We will absolutely continue to use her in the future!

Tina took great care of our kitties! She was a great communicator and she sent lots of pictures so we felt at ease while we were away. Our girls were clearly comfortable with her. I also appreciated that she offered a meet and greet beforehand even though I wasn’t able to make the time work

Best Rover experience ever for our two pups, Gizmo and Teddy! We received constant updates, photos, and so much love and care that we were actually able to relax while away. Coming home to two happy, calm boys meant everything — we will absolutely book again! 🐾💕

Gwyneth is one of the best dog sitters we have ever had care for our Bijou! She stayed the nights and took great care of our home too. Gwyneth’s communication is excellent, so we felt assured that our dog was in good hands through pictures and updates. When our return flight was delayed, she offered to stay longer if needed. I wholeheartedly recommend Gwyneth to care for your pet!!

Lauren was an excellent cat/house sitter while I was away on a work trip! My cat Loki is very social and loves a lot of attention, so I really appreciated how present Lauren was with him, and how much she played with him! She sent me a lot of pictures, which kept my mind at ease while I was away. I will definitely rebook with Lauren again!
