“My dog, Gordie, had such a great stay with Dan! He sent updates throughout the day and Gordie couldn't have looked happier in the pictures. Dan's dog Coal is a sweetheart and definitely wore out out our pup, he has been sleeping since getting home. I would recommend Dan to anyone and would trust him completely for future stays!”
About: Have a dog with separation anxiety? A senior pup who can’t stay alone? Or a doggo that simply needs a little supervision while you’re out? I’d love to care for your buddy until you get home! I myself have a senior schnauzer mix with separation anxiety, so I understand the pain. I have experience dealing with common senior issues like poor eyesight, weak joints, and giving medication. I have to carry my dog up and down the stairs to my apartment, and can do the same for yours if needed. NOTE: I live in a smaller apartment so my services are for small and medium-sized dogs. As a dog owner, pet care is part of my day to day. I’m available to care for your dog most weekdays as I work from home. I’m also available some weekends. My home is a clean and comfy space for your dog. Water bowls are filled 24/7. My dog Figo is usually lying on one of his 2 beds, but can share with yours. Or feel free to bring your dog’s bed. Figo is very friendly with others, but he’s never really known how to play with dogs, so he’ll simply hang out near yours. Note: I live upstairs (2nd floor). Let me know if your dog needs assistance going up and down.
“Alexandra exceeded our expectations! Our pups were overly stressed from our vacation and immediately became acclimated to Alexandra and her home. She sent us pictures throughout the day which was great! Thank you so much!”

“Hope was so amazing! She kept my pup so comfortable and gave him all the cuddles and lots of walks. She also accepted our last minute request for daycare which was very appreciated. We will definitely use her next time we’re in town.”

“Kristen was so kind and accommodating for a last minute visit. My pup had a great time during his stay, and I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out again for future stays. Thank you, Kristen!”

“Returning again for Tiffany because Max seems so happy in her care while we had some last minute family stuff. Tiffany is always so kind and we love the updates she provides with our lil guy! We feel at ease as puppy parents and we will absolutely continue to consider Tiffany when she has availability ✨🐾”

“Joanna was absolutely amazing with my dog Milo! She was super responsive, very nice, easy to coordinate care with and went above and beyond when taking care of him. I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“Thank you so much for the doggie daycare for Billy! Quick response time, willing to pick up/drop off your doggo and a nice picture update! Would recommend to anyone and definitely plan to rebook in the future!”

“My Chauncey really likes Kelsey. He walks out of her home with a prance in his step. She always texts me, sends me photos of him, her care is amazing. Thank you!”

“Lea was great! Tombstone was perfectly tired when I picked him up - he even had a friend to play with! She took him for a walk in the middle of the day and sent plenty of pictures. Would book again.”

About: I’ve worked with animals my whole life and grew up with dogs. With 8 years of experience showing cattle and pigs, I bring dedication and care to every animal. I truly love pets and believe your dog deserves the same luxuries and love we do! I attend school at PLNU, I have classes Monday-Thursday. However I have plenty of time after classes to walk pets and I have lots of time on the weekend to dog sit!! If I am in-home dog sitting, I can stay as long as needed, everyday of the week/weekend. I am very adaptable. I would love to dog sit in your home. I have a car so I can travel to the homes and take pets to the park.
About: I am a dog person! Old, young, small, large! No matter the dog I am sure to love and adore them. I do have a 4 year old English Bulldog (M) of my own who is a total couch potato. He’s spent a lot of time around other dogs and does particularly well with puppies and female dogs (he’s a ladies man lol). Growing up neighbors, friends and family were always calling me to care for their fur babies whether they were running home late from work or away for vacation. Some breeds I have sat in the past include: pugs, bulldogs, mastiffs, doodles, bernies, goldens, labs, and austrailian shepherds. I currently work from home 4.5 days a week (Tuesday mornings I am in office), so have a fairly flexible schedule when it comes to tending to your pets needs. Additionally, I am also available for reoccurring pet walking/let outs during lunch and after work. ** At this time I am not able to stay overnight at clients homes, if you are interested in having me do multiple drop in visits to your home throughout the day reach out and I will charge you my overnight price While you are away my goal is to allow your pet to stay on their normal routine as much as possible. Whether that be going for long walks, playing outside, or extra long belly rubs I want to make sure your pet is getting the love and care they are used to.
About: Hi, I’m Alexa. I’m a work-from-home professional offering personalized in-home care (at my place or yours), overnight stays, and extended bookings so pets can remain calm, comfortable, and consistent in their familiar surroundings. I also offer dog walking and drop-ins. I intentionally accept only one client’s pets at a time to provide focused, high-touch care. This boutique approach allows me to maintain a calm, consistent environment and give your pets my full attention throughout their stay. My rates reflect this exclusive, one-on-one level of care, reliability, and experience. I’m a great fit for owners who value consistency, trust, and personalized service over volume-based care. ***While taking care of your pets at your residence, I also provide general house maintenance while you're away. This entails tasks like collecting mail/packages, managing trash day, occasionally adjusting lights, and monitoring surveillance to maintain the appearance of occupancy and ensure home security.
About: Hi, I’m Danny. I work from home in tech full-time and provide calm, consistent, one-one-one care for your dog. I maintain established routines and a quiet structured environment while you're away. I intentionally accept only one client household at a time. This means your dog receives my full, undivided attention — no rotating pets, no crates, and no overstimulation. It’s a quieter, safer environment and ideal for dogs who thrive with consistency and structure. I live within walking distance of Shelter Island and regularly walk along the marina and Sunset Cliffs, offering great enrichment without the chaos of crowded dog settings. My home is clean, cozy, and well-suited for dogs who prefer a peaceful space. I work best with calm, non-aggressive dogs and value clear communication to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for both pets and owners.
“Alejandra & Rodrigo did a wonderful job caring for Dobby. We received regular care summaries with pictures each day which put us at ease that each day went well. We could see that Dobby was in the loving care of warm and friendly caregivers. We would definitely work with Alejandro & Rodrigo again!”

About: I’ve spent 20+ years in a house with dogs and cats, from puppy/kitten through senior ages, so I have plenty of pet care experience. I most recently started watching friends pets when needed, but I do not currently have any pets of my own. Hi I’m Danny! I work full time from home so I can give your furry friend all the love and attention they deserve! I recently lost my 14 year old black lab, Jake, and am dealing with a bit of empty nest syndrome. Not quite ready for the full responsibility of owning my own dog again, I’ve found that dog sitting is a great way for me to feed my need for a furry companion without taking on the full responsibility as a true full time pet owner. I am free most weekdays and weekends, but feel free to check about availability if needed. Please let me watch your dog :) I have a fenced in back yard with a turf surface, so plenty of space for your pup to lounge. Also plenty of floor space indoors for a bed and/or crate if needed. Pets are also allowed on the furniture, so my house is very pet friendly environment.
“Donovan was great with my fur baby. Very friendly and chill. He gave updates throughout the day which made me feel at ease with it being the first time using him.”

“Leah was amazing. I was nervous to leave my dogs with someone new but she was communicative the whole time. I got pictures and updates which made me confident my babies were in good hands. 10 out of 10 would recommend”

Wooded Area dog parents share their Rover experiences
Tiffany has been such a caring and reliable sitter for my Chloe! Since the first time watching Chloe she has showed so much patience and consideration for Chloe’s situation being her first time away from me! I have now rebooked with Tiffany 4 times and she has been so reliable every weekend for me ! I was so nervous about leaving Chloe with a sitter but now I get to go to work knowing she is safe every time ! 10/10 recommend Tiffany to everyone if you’re looking for someone that knows how to communicate and really care for our little fur babies 💕

Mallory not only helped us out a ton by accepting a last minute booking, she was the absolute perfect match for my anxious senior dog! My Junie can take a while to warm up and is quite picky about who she “lets in.” Mallory was thoughtful, patient, and adaptable — so much so that Junie got nice and cozy with her by the end of her very first stay! I was shocked and beyond happy as that NEVER happens. I’m so glad we found someone we can trust and who Junie feels comfortable with (she sends her thanks, too!). Great communication throughout. Highly recommend!
