Work-From-Home Dog Mom
Hi! I'm Courtney, a lifelong dog lover based in Point Loma. For the last 13 years, my world revolved around caring for my Golden Retriever/Rottweiler mix, Bodi. He recently passed away, and while my home is a little quieter these days, I'd love to spend time caring for other people's dogs. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide plenty of attention throughout the day. I am the sole caregiver during all bookings, whether your pet is staying in my home, I'm stopping by for a drop-in visit, or taking them on a walk. Having cared for a senior dog, I'm especially comfortable with older dogs, large breeds, slower walks, medication routines, and pups who simply need a little extra patience and companionship. I'm also happy to care for young, energetic, playful dogs who love to explore and have fun. When boarding, I only accept up to two dogs from the same family at a time so I can give them my full attention. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and even in bed if that's what they're used to at home. I have a fully fenced patio, and because I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone for more than a couple of hours. I know firsthand how nerve-racking it can be to leave your pet with someone new. I'll always communicate clearly, send plenty of photos and updates, and care for your dog the way I'd want someone to care for mine. Whether your pup wants an adventure, a relaxing walk, or just lots of affection, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

Courtney is phenomenal with our dogs Bill and Brenda! Knowing someone who will show them the same level of care snuggles and attention is so comforting when having to travel or even just to make sure they're taken care of during a long work day. Truly no one better!
If you need a fun and reliable sitter, Courtney is your girl. I know when I drop of my dog Xena she is going to be well taken care of and given all the love and cuddles she needs. 10/10 would recommend!

Schedule
Pet care has been part of my daily routine for years. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and making sure pets get the attention they deserve. I enjoy being active and outdoors, and I love giving owners peace of mind with updates and photos while they're away.

Whether your pet is staying in my home or I'm caring for them in yours, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions. In my home, I only accept up to two dogs from the same family at a time so I can give them plenty of individual attention. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and even in bed if that's what they're used to at home. I have a fully fenced patio for fresh air and outdoor time, and because I have flexible schedules, pets are rarely left alone for more than a couple of hours. I'll also send regular photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
A typical day
Every dog is different, so I tailor the day to their personality and routine. We might start with a neighborhood walk, followed by breakfast, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of cuddle breaks throughout the day. If your pup loves to play, we'll enjoy games, toys, and one-on-one attention. If they're more of a couch potato, we'll relax together and enjoy a slower pace. I work from home, so there are frequent potty breaks and lots of companionship. For everyone's safety, I stick to neighborhood walks and private playtime rather than dog parks or off-leash public areas. My goal is to keep your dog happy, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible.

The more I know, the better I can make their stay feel safe, familiar, and stress-free.
