Ashley took great care of Momoco. She was always responsive whenever I texted her. I am incredibly grateful that she treated my baby as if she were her own. I will definitely book with her again if I come to LA in the future!

I especially appreciated that we didn’t even have to ask! We’ll definitely use her daycare service again when we’re in San Diego. Highly recommended!

About: I used to have a cat and a hamster and currently own a dog. I have personally trained him and he is now living with my family! I currently go to college in the morning so my availability will be the afternoons along with the weekends in the afternoon and night! I can do boarding on the weekends while caring during the afternoon on the week days! I enjoy playing or relaxing with your animal depending on what they like to do! For dogs, there is a pet relief area in my apartment building however if they are not comfortable with that and/or you have a senior dog, i do have fake grass on my patio right outside of my apartment!

Chau is wonderful. My dog absolutely adored her and her two sweet pups—she warmed up to them right away and clearly felt at ease. She came home relaxed, happy, and well cared for. Chau sent plenty of thoughtful updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I will happily book with her again!

I came to San Diego for a conference and brought along my little Cocker Spaniel rescue who I just adopted 5 months ago. Melissa cared for him during the day. He has had a lot of separation anxiety. But with Melissa it was much less than I expected. No doubt she has a gift with animals! Thank you Melissa!

About: Howdy! I've been on rover for a few years now. I briefly stopped in 2023 and then in 2024 I moved down to SD. Now that my pooch and I are settled in we are ready to dog sit again! Throughout my time with Rover I developed a number of regular folks that trusted their dogs with me and my pooch. I have one dog, Butler. He's 8 and is a loving and patient dalmatian. And as you can see in the photos uploaded he definitely enjoys the dog company 🐾 See below for my work schedule :) I work in the office two days a week and work from home the other 3. On the work days in the office I am gone the whole time so I ask that your pooch is well acclimated to being able to be left alone for that extended period of time I live in an apartment right now that has plenty of parks around it so to make sure the dogs get exercise we can either go on long walks at least twice a day or go to the nearby parks

Amazing, amazing, amazing. So thoughtful, thorough, kind and gentle. My baby was so very well taken care of, with activity log of the day. Silke provided frequent but not obstrusive updates and photos throughout the day. She asked applicable questions to ensure appropriate care for Bella. Bella was so loved and well care for, that I am so appreciative and felt very much at ease with Silke's services. Thank you.

About: Pet Care Experience / What Sets Me Apart I provide calm, attentive care and treat every dog like an individual. I’ve been around dogs most of my life growing up with them and living with dogs owned by family and roommates, so I’m comfortable with daily routines, reading body language, and creating a low-stress environment. What sets me apart is my patience, consistency, and communication. I follow care instructions closely, keep owners updated with photos and messages, and focus on making dogs feel safe and comfortable, especially in a new environment. I’m a great fit for well-mannered dogs, seniors, or dogs that prefer a relaxed setting rather than a high-energy group environment. I’m happy to accommodate specific routines, administer basic oral medications, and adjust care to meet each dog’s needs. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I’m available throughout the day to care for pets, including walks, playtime, and feeding time I prioritize a safe and comfortable environment for every pet. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets are supervised, given plenty of attention, and kept away from hazards. I follow your instructions closely and create a calm, trusting atmosphere so your pet feels secure and happy

About: Dogs give us "2 paws up" for our slumber parties. :) Dogs are my cause. I've been nurturing and protecting them for 14 years. I've also learned from them and been protected by them ... because dogs are the best species on earth. I have a soft spot for senior, special-needs, and shy dogs. I’m a fiercely protective dog mom and dog Aunty whose beloved boy Django just passed away at 15. He was my heart dog and soul dog. Still is. He was a senior, arthritic, deaf dog with other special needs and health challenges. I dedicated my life to exceeding his needs whether emotional, mental, spiritual or physical, and whether about diet, lifestyle or environment. I became an integrative wellness practitioner for dogs so that I would be educated and prepared as Django went through different life stages. Some of his successes include overcoming separation anxiety, handling hearing impairment with grace, managing arthritis well, stopping tremors, beating liver disease, having agency about his time to die, and staying connected even now. I’ve taken care of dogs for the past 14 years, starting with Django (adopted then), his pals, neighbors’ dogs, and other clients. In New York City, I had a referral-based doggie B&B where I became Auntie to dozens and dozens of dogs through the years who would look forward to their sleepovers and playtime with Django. It was like sleepaway camp, but in a loving home. I’m new to this app, but I’ve done dog-sitting since moving to California as well as other pet care and animal wellness services - energy healing, animal communication, nutrition guidance, detox education, stress management support, and a digital course on holistic health for dogs. I’m certified in Reiki for animals, integrative health coaching, and am working on pet loss grief support services. I've also produced loads of events from dog birthday parties to celebrations of life, and from art exhibits to rock concerts and cultural festivals. With animal wellness coaching and my digital course, I’ve helped dog parents get clear on dietary, lifestyle and environmental choices for their dogs to optimize wellbeing and manage stress. Happy to share wellness tips and dog food resource guides I've created for clients. I’m an animal advocate and plan to foster dogs in need through TAP, Frosted Faces, and/or other rescues while I also volunteer at SD Humane Society. My husband is retired from FDNY EMS, and his first responder emergency medicine background has proven critically important with a few dogs in our care over the years. It’s a privilege to be with and care for animals. We are downtown near Seaport Village, lovely parks, and the waterfront in a mini-oasis of a community with our own lovely patio and HOA security. We would love to connect, meet your dogs, and have an opportunity to take care of them in our home. I'm currently working from home with my small animal wellness business beyond dog-sitting, and freelancing in event planning, so I have plenty of time to take care of your precious dogs. My husband and I welcome dogs throughout the house, including on our bed. We also have comfortable dog beds. Our large outdoor patio is a bonus in downtown San Diego, and it is enclosed with an artificial grass area for dogs if they need the relief between walks. We'd provide at least three walks per day as well. I always let dogs determine the pace as many walk more slowly than I would if walking alone. I'm always paying attention when walking dogs - not staring at my phone. I'm present and protective of the pups in my care. Healthy, delicious dog treats are plentiful here, though we believe in keeping dogs at ideal weights for their health. We will follow your lead and instructions when it comes to your dogs. There will always be filtered water available for the pups. At our home, you'll often find relaxing music on, nice natural light, and lots of comfortable spots for dogs to make themselves at home both inside and on our Zen patio. We keep our home at a comfortable temperature for the pups with fresh air flowing in, and we have AC or heat when needed. Toys are plentiful, but we can remove them if you're concerned about antlers or if your dog might be a chewaholic. We have kongs and puzzle feeders, too. I always give dogs extra attention at first - even if that means giving them space - so that they can acclimate to the new environment. When my dog Django was alive, he'd mentor the newcomers and show them the ropes. With few exceptions, the dogs adjusted quickly and saw our place as home away from home. I'm good at reading dogs' body language and understanding them on many levels, which includes determining if two dogs might need space from each other. We're fortunate to live in a community that welcomes dogs of all sizes and breed mixes. If you have a dog who needs to be the solo dog staying with us, that can often be arranged. We always want to discuss the dogs' needs, behavior, temperament, routine, likes and dislikes beforehand so that we can do our best to ensure a good fit. We like to have clients complete a client survey and a medical emergency form just to be prepared in the event of such an emergency if clients were unreachable.

About: I have had many dogs and help take care of many dogs. I have never had a problem and dogs are always happy with me. Respectfully will only watch dogs that are friendly, loving, and not aggressive. I work full time from home so can be with your dog all day :) happy to walk them and play with them through out the day. They wouldn’t have to be locked up all day. I’ve had multiple dogs throughout life and currently have a rescue dog. She loves dogs and is very happy to make new friends. She will do great with your dog too

About: I’m a stay-at-home and remote working (part time currently) tech marketing professional, here in the heart of San Diego. This affords me **95% full flexibility and availability** in times I can provide dog walks, drop in visits, and accept daycare/boarding drop offs and pick ups! :) I care for all animals as if they were my own, because I understand the anxiety of leaving our furbabies when work or travel calls. 🥹❤️‍🩹🥰 I’ve loved caring for my Bombay 🐕 the past 5 years, and have dog walked + dog sat + cat sat for friends countless times. I live in an apartment with my chill 7 year old pup, and we enjoy walks in the neighborhood and the grass park every 2-4 hours. (On hot days, we drive straight to the grass park to avoid the cement/asphalt). This life style, with a commitment of only a flexible few hours of computer work at home each day, gives me a chance to give plenty of attention to all fur babies in my care. Especially for pups who may feel more at home in a relaxed setting (instead of the chaos of bustling day care centers or confines of a boarding kennel), my apartment can be the *calm* oasis for them whether the need care just for the daytime or for extended overnight boarding. 🥰 For cat parents 🐈‍⬛🐈😻: I cared for a lovely cat for 1.5 years that I dearly miss. I cannot board cats in my apartment, but I can do daily or twice daily cat visits for clients along with the duties of liter box / feeding / play time. Please reach out to me so we can arrange care! >>> I can often accept SAME-DAY-care requests after 9 AM if my calendar shows me as available. (I understand sometimes things happen last minute and you need a trustworthy person to step in and care for your pet). Odalis was the perfect sitter for my dog. She radiates trust and kindness and I felt that my pup would be taken care of. When my pup was in her care, she played fetch with her and introduced her to their dog Jasper and our dogs became quick friends. She has a nice large grassy area in front of her apartment. I love that she sent me a couple of photo updates of my baby. I look forward to having her be my Rover again in the future.

Zaira was amazing with our dog during the three days we needed daytime care while we were out. She was excellent with communication from the very beginning and very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, which we really appreciated. We did a brief meet-and-greet session first, and after that Zaira took our Labrador in without any issues. She also has her own dog, Malik (she’s a sweetheart!), and they got along really well, so we had no worries at all. Over the three days, Zaira took great care of our dog, shared pictures regularly, and kept us posted, which gave us complete peace of mind. If you’re visiting San Diego and need a reliable and caring place to leave your pup, Zaira is someone you can trust without hesitation. Highly recommended!
