About: I truly love dogs — they’re my favorite thing in the world! I've rescued several dogs from bad conditions, so I understand how to care for pups even with special needs, give medicine when needed, and be patient and gentle. I respect every dog's space and let them enjoy their walks at their own pace. I'm very attentive to details and always make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I recently left my full-time job, so I have open availability and plenty of time to take care of your dog with attention and love. I’m happy to take care of dogs in their own home. I always follow their feeding, treats, and walking schedules exactly as instructed. I spend quality time with them — playing, brushing, giving gentle massages, and making sure they have fresh water at all times. I can also help with baths, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and flea checks.

“Emmy responded very promptly. Very warm and welcoming for Zuko. Sent pictures of Zuko happy during her stay with Emmy. Would recommend and rehire her services next time I’m in San Diego! Thank you Emmy.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Whether it’s a playful pup or a mellow senior, I’m all about making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I have experience with senior dogs-including my own, Plato! Experienced in giving medications and keeping up with their routines. I’m also happy to send updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. Looking forward to meeting your furry family member! 😊 Since I work remotely, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available throughout the day to care for pets. This means I can provide frequent walks, playtime, and lots of attention without feeling rushed. It also lets me easily adapt to your pet’s routine and needs to make sure they feel comfortable and happy. I have a comfortable apartment that’s pet-friendly and cozy for your furry friend. Plus, there’s a great park just across the street where we can enjoy walks, playtime, and fresh air. I make sure to keep the space safe and clean, and I’m happy to stick to your pet’s usual routine to keep them relaxed and happy while they’re with me.

“Olivia was very nice and took great care of Bella. She Sent pictures and took bella on walks! Would definitely recommend booking with Olivia!”

About: I have several years of experience providing loving and reliable care for pets of all types. I currently care for 6 rescue dogs and one cat at my home in Mexico plus my rescue dog bella here in san diego. So I’m experienced in managing multiple pets with different personalities and needs. I’m skilled in walking, feeding, and administering medications, and I’m especially attentive to each pet’s individual routines and preferences. I understand the importance of consistency and positive reinforcement, ensuring that pets feel safe, loved, and engaged. Whether it’s playtime, training, or simply offering companionship, I’m dedicated to providing the best care possible. I’ve spent the last 3 years working as a nanny, which has taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and providing care with love and attention. Now, I’m fully committed to transitioning into pet care, and I’m excited to offer my experience and dedication to your furry friends. My weekends and afternoons are completely free, making me available to give your pets the attention they need. Plus, my husband is always at home, so there’s always someone around to keep an eye on our furry family members, in addition to my own dog. I live in a cozy apartment downtown, where we have plenty of space for your furry friends. My dog goes for a walk or to the park twice a day and takes potty breaks 3-4 times daily. She’s a great companion and would love to socialize with your dog, but we also understand that some pets prefer their own space. That’s why we have two separate rooms where your dog can relax alone if they need some quiet time. Rest assured, whether they’re enjoying playtime or just some peaceful moments, your dog will feel right at home here.

About: Dogs give us "2 paws up" for our slumber parties. :) Dogs are my cause. I've been nurturing and protecting them for 14 years. I've also learned from them and been protected by them ... because dogs are the best species on earth. I have a soft spot for senior, special-needs, and shy dogs. I’m a fiercely protective dog mom and dog Aunty whose beloved boy Django just passed away at 15. He was my heart dog and soul dog. Still is. He was a senior, arthritic, deaf dog with other special needs and health challenges. I dedicated my life to exceeding his needs whether emotional, mental, spiritual or physical, and whether about diet, lifestyle or environment. I became an integrative wellness practitioner for dogs so that I would be educated and prepared as Django went through different life stages. Some of his successes include overcoming separation anxiety, handling hearing impairment with grace, managing arthritis well, stopping tremors, beating liver disease, having agency about his time to die, and staying connected even now. I’ve taken care of dogs for the past 14 years, starting with Django (adopted then), his pals, neighbors’ dogs, and other clients. In New York City, I had a referral-based doggie B&B where I became Auntie to dozens and dozens of dogs through the years who would look forward to their sleepovers and playtime with Django. It was like sleepaway camp, but in a loving home. I’m new to this app, but I’ve done dog-sitting since moving to California as well as other pet care and animal wellness services - energy healing, animal communication, nutrition guidance, detox education, stress management support, and a digital course on holistic health for dogs. I’m certified in Reiki for animals, integrative health coaching, and am working on pet loss grief support services. I've also produced loads of events from dog birthday parties to celebrations of life, and from art exhibits to rock concerts and cultural festivals. With animal wellness coaching and my digital course, I’ve helped dog parents get clear on dietary, lifestyle and environmental choices for their dogs to optimize wellbeing and manage stress. Happy to share wellness tips and dog food resource guides I've created for clients. I’m an animal advocate and plan to foster dogs in need through TAP, Frosted Faces, and/or other rescues while I also volunteer at SD Humane Society. My husband is retired from FDNY EMS, and his first responder emergency medicine background has proven critically important with a few dogs in our care over the years. It’s a privilege to be with and care for animals. We are downtown near Seaport Village, lovely parks, and the waterfront in a mini-oasis of a community with our own lovely patio and HOA security. We would love to connect, meet your dogs, and have an opportunity to take care of them in our home. I'm currently working from home with my small animal wellness business beyond dog-sitting, and freelancing in event planning, so I have plenty of time to take care of your precious dogs. My husband and I welcome dogs throughout the house, including on our bed. We also have comfortable dog beds. Our large outdoor patio is a bonus in downtown San Diego, and it is enclosed with an artificial grass area for dogs if they need the relief between walks. We'd provide at least three walks per day as well. I always let dogs determine the pace as many walk more slowly than I would if walking alone. I'm always paying attention when walking dogs - not staring at my phone. I'm present and protective of the pups in my care. Healthy, delicious dog treats are plentiful here, though we believe in keeping dogs at ideal weights for their health. We will follow your lead and instructions when it comes to your dogs. There will always be filtered water available for the pups. At our home, you'll often find relaxing music on, nice natural light, and lots of comfortable spots for dogs to make themselves at home both inside and on our Zen patio. We keep our home at a comfortable temperature for the pups with fresh air flowing in, and we have AC or heat when needed. Toys are plentiful, but we can remove them if you're concerned about antlers or if your dog might be a chewaholic. We have kongs and puzzle feeders, too. I always give dogs extra attention at first - even if that means giving them space - so that they can acclimate to the new environment. When my dog Django was alive, he'd mentor the newcomers and show them the ropes. With few exceptions, the dogs adjusted quickly and saw our place as home away from home. I'm good at reading dogs' body language and understanding them on many levels, which includes determining if two dogs might need space from each other. We're fortunate to live in a community that welcomes dogs of all sizes and breed mixes. If you have a dog who needs to be the solo dog staying with us, that can often be arranged. We always want to discuss the dogs' needs, behavior, temperament, routine, likes and dislikes beforehand so that we can do our best to ensure a good fit. We like to have clients complete a client survey and a medical emergency form just to be prepared in the event of such an emergency if clients were unreachable.

About: Howdy! I've been on rover for a few years now. I briefly stopped in 2023 and then in 2024 I moved down to SD. Now that my pooch and I are settled in we are ready to dog sit again! Throughout my time with Rover I developed a number of regular folks that trusted their dogs with me and my pooch. I have one dog, Butler. He's 8 and is a loving and patient dalmatian. And as you can see in the photos uploaded he definitely enjoys the dog company 🐾 See below for my work schedule :) I work in the office two days a week and work from home the other 3. On the work days in the office I am gone the whole time so I ask that your pooch is well acclimated to being able to be left alone for that extended period of time I live in an apartment right now that has plenty of parks around it so to make sure the dogs get exercise we can either go on long walks at least twice a day or go to the nearby parks

Gabrielle was so great with our dog. She was very communicative and calm and friendly. We would definitely book with her again if we’re in the area.

Fallon was super nice and took good care of my dog for the day! She sent updates and pictures which made me feel more at ease. She was also very responsive and communicative. It’s clear she wanted to provide a good experience for both my dog and me. I will be using her again!

Thanks to Stephen for taking care of our dogs while we moved into our new abode. You took care of our dogs like your own and made them feel very comfortable. And thank you for the new bowl for Wolf. Hope we can work again together.

We are so grateful to Kirsten for stepping in at the very last minute to watch our dog, Owen! She truly saved the day, and we couldn’t have asked for a better dog-sitter. Owen had such a great time with her, we could tell he felt right at home. Kirsten took wonderful care of him and kept us updated, which gave us such peace of mind. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, loving, and thoughtful with pets. Thank you, Kirsten! 🐾

Great sitting! Very attentive and communicative and sent photos (which is always appreciated). Haven seemed to have a great time and we will definitely be coming back :)

I always feel so safe leaving Phineas with Shauna and Pompilio! They take such good care of him, and Phinny is so happy there.

Thank you, Nina, for hosting my pup for doggy daycare and taking such great care of him! He seemed super happy, entertained, and well cared for and I really appreciated all the updates and photos you sent throughout the day 🥰

Claire was incredibly kind and thoughtful with her communication as well as her care of our pups! Our dogs loved their time with her and came home tired and happy. Claire also was very flexible with her schedule with us, and this was incredibly helpful as we were dealing with a big event on the same day as her dogsit! Claire took the time to do a video call with me prior to watching our dogs, and was super receptive to both my mother and myself as she was watching both of our fur babies- so this of course lead to paragraphs on paragraphs of info, but Claire had no issue with this and was reassuring and down to earth through the entire process. I would never take my dog to anyone but her after our experience !!

Had a great experience! Saeko made sure toffee was very comfortable, plenty of walking time, and sent us lots of photo and video check ins. Toffee can be a little defensive, but she knew exactly how to make him comfortable and get Toffee to trust her.

Everything went perfectly! Ashley was great with communication and kept me updated so I knew Luna was doing well. Luna seemed very comfortable and happy when I picked her up. I’d definitely book again!

Ranger and her partner were wonderful! Able to take a last minute request and Nala and Oliver were both SUPER tired when they got home. Thank you Ranger for everything 10/10 would recommend and would feel comfortable leaving them with Ranger any time again 😊✨

Emma and Ryan were wonderful! They took great care of Maisy and sent a ton of cute photos! They communicated very well and I will definitely be booking with them in the future.

Olivia was very nice and took great care of Bella. She Sent pictures and took bella on walks! Would definitely recommend booking with Olivia!

Daniel and Marina were absolutely amazing! They had a great communication, their puppies got along with Benji and played all day. Benji came back calm and ready for bed which is always a good sign of good humans. Without hesitation I would use them again. Highly recommend them.

Becky is amazing! She is responsible and keeps me updated with Ollie. She follows all the instructions I leave her and keeps me posted with anything that changes. Ollie loves her and is always excited to see her!

Valentina was a great pet sitter for our dog. She kept us updated, responded quickly, and took our dog on lots of walks. We would definitely book her again!

Emmy was so amazing for my son Prince Ralphie! I contacted her super last minute and she responded super quick! She treated him like he was her own, and I couldn’t have asked for more 💕

Jamie did a great job of taking care of our dog, who can be a little skittish when meeting new people. We would book again!

Thank you Vivianne for watching Meelo! She was quick to respond, even though it was late at night and last minute. Really appreciate her patience with our 5 month old puppy, even though he was so shy at first. She provided regular updates and photos proving that he was calming down throughout his whole stay! Would definitely hit her up if we’re ever in town!
