About: I am a dog person! Old, young, small, large! No matter the dog I am sure to love and adore them. I do have a 4 year old English Bulldog (M) of my own who is a total couch potato. He’s spent a lot of time around other dogs and does particularly well with puppies and female dogs (he’s a ladies man lol). Growing up neighbors, friends and family were always calling me to care for their fur babies whether they were running home late from work or away for vacation. Some breeds I have sat in the past include: pugs, bulldogs, mastiffs, doodles, bernies, goldens, labs, and austrailian shepherds. I currently work from home 4.5 days a week (Tuesday mornings I am in office), so have a fairly flexible schedule when it comes to tending to your pets needs. Additionally, I am also available for reoccurring pet walking/let outs during lunch and after work. ** At this time I am not able to stay overnight at clients homes, if you are interested in having me do multiple drop in visits to your home throughout the day reach out and I will charge you my overnight price While you are away my goal is to allow your pet to stay on their normal routine as much as possible. Whether that be going for long walks, playing outside, or extra long belly rubs I want to make sure your pet is getting the love and care they are used to.
“Chanel was great! Very communicative and sent me photos whenever I asked (which is a lot). She even held a water cup up to my cat so he would drink water. Appreciate all the effort she puts into the pets she cares for.”

“Ana is my go-to sitter in San Diego! My dog gets anxious away from home and Ana created a calm and welcoming environment. He’s also a picky eater but takes oral medication everyday. Ana was able to ensure he was taking his meds. It was such a relief having someone so wonderful and attentive watching him while I was away. I also appreciated all the communication—lots of photos and texts describing daily walks and activities and anything that was out of the normal. Can’t recommend Ana enough!”

“Minhee and Minwoo are absolutely incredible! They watched my dog, Benny, and truly went above and beyond in every way. It was so clear that they treated him like one of their own. He even got special treats and so much individual attention. The best part of the experience was the communication; I received so many updates and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. Benny was actually sad to leave them when I picked him up, which speaks volumes about the care they provide. I was beyond impressed and will definitely be booking with them again. Highly recommend!”

“Vanessa was able to watch my dog last minute, and took very good care of him! I was very happy with the amount of attention he got, and I felt that he was very well cared for. I would book with Vanessa again in the future!”

“Araceli is fantastic. My dogs love being with her. She is always so responsive and she let me drop off the dogs two hours earlier than I initially asked for which was really helpful due to travel plans changing.”

About: My experience started off with my very own dog when I was a child living in England, I learned from a young age how to take care of a dog and keep them happy. I moved to America 10 years ago and have since been providing dog walking, sitting and general care with several dogs continuously for this whole period. The dogs I have taken care of have ranged from golden doodles, Belgian Malinois and teacup terriers. After 10 years of experience with the same dogs, I am ready to branch out and help you and your dog! I work from home full-time which gives me a lot of flexibility in my available to spend time with your dog and for drop offs and pick ups. Besides an hour at the gym and an hour I walk a dog daily I will be able to provide your dog with all the love and attention they need. I like in apartment with a balcony so if your dog were to be staying at my home it would include having an indoor/outdoor area (the balcony is enclosed), I am also right next to a trail and the bay is less than a mile away so this would be where I would walk your dog. In your home, if you have a routine you would like me to stick to, I’m happy to do so!
“Joseph and Tyler were amazing. We had to book a rover last minute and we were so happy to have found them. They took our two dogs for a long weekend and sent us lots of pics of our doggos on walks and having the best time. 10/10 recommend!”

“Danny was awesome!! Very communicative, sent pics, and took such good care of Goose. He is a true dog lover and I felt so comfortable and safe with Goose in his care.”

“Xochitl (and husband) were amazing! I’ve used a lot of Rovers over the years, and she is at the very top of the list. From the first time we met her, it was clear that they were dog people. One of our pups is super timid and can take a while to warm up. Not this time! These two must have the magic touch, sending multiple pictures of her accepting belly rubs and giving kisses. Just as awesome: Some sitters will just send ‘proof of life’ shots showing that they are walking the dogs. But Xotchitl sent daily pictures of them in and outside of the house and interacting with them personally. Overall, Xotchitl made us feel at complete ease while on vacation - which doesn’t always happen. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Victoria has a lovely home and took great care of my Palmer! We got photos daily of them having a great time together with family and beautiful walks over Christmas break”

“She kept in amazing touch with us with daily photos, updates on his behavior and went above and beyond to make sure he ate, slept, felt comfortable, and bonded with her. Such a relief to know he was in good hands and came back to us happy and healthy! Totally plan on booking for our future trips. :)”

“Chau is such a great dog sitter! She is responsive, engaged and enthusiastic. I really appreciate Chau's excellent communication in person, via text and through photos. My dog was very well cared for over the weekend and came home happy and tired from all the fun. I will definitely use Chau again because of her obvious love for dogs and her enthusiasm to watch them.”

“Phillip is one of the best dog sitters I’ve found on Rover! He is very attentive, follows care instructions, and was super accommodating to our booking and requests. Thanks for taking such great care of maya and keeping her so active during her visit!!”

About: Admittedly, I'm more experienced with dogs, but I've dealt with cats for a good portion of my life as well. Starting in middle school, I've had cats as pets alongside dogs and dealt with ages from kittens to some shockingly old cats and dealt with the meanest and sweetest ones across that range.

“Sophia did an amazing job watching my 2 kitties while I was out of town! It was somewhat of a last minute request, so I was so appreciative when she accepted. She is extremely attentive, upbeat, detail oriented with instructions, and sends tons of photos! She did everything that was asked and more! I came home to a clean apartment, and well-cared for, happy kitties. I will def book Sophia again!”

About: There's no reason dogs should have all of the fun. I love cats and all of their mystery and quirks. I know cats are the boss so will look to you for guidance on if they like to play and be stroked or just have someone sit next to them or nearby. Either way, I'll make sure they are well taken care of and happy during your time away.

“I can’t recommend Sara enough! She’s been an absolutely amazing cat sitter—so reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. I always feel at ease knowing my cat is in such good hands. She goes above and beyond, sending updates and photos that clearly show how happy and comfortable my cat is with her. Highly recommend Sara to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter :)”

“Jessica was so kind to come drop in and see our kitties while we were away for the holidays. Great communication and did everything we asked (litter box, refill auto feeders, water bowls, and hang out with them). Thank you so much, we will definitely be booking you again!”

“Thank you Allison for taking care of Bo!! He loves you so much!! Alli is the best cat sitter. She made sure our Bobo was loved, fed, and took care of our home too. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands, and we came back to a very happy cat. We would absolutely have her watch Bo again.”

“Haylee was great! She developed a great rapport with our cat. Her photos were fantastic and you could really tell she was making our cat happy. We had an illness in the family and she was able to extend the duration of our service on short notice. We will use her again when we need a sitter.”

“Rachel is so amazing! This is my second time booking her while traveling! She takes such good care of our two cats! They’re getting used to her too! Always punctual, follows instructions, goes an extra mile doing something I didn’t even think about. She’s wonderful! Thank you Rachel! You’re the best!”

“Chanel was a terrific cat sitter! I will definitely use her in the future. I know my baby was so happy and enjoyed watching birds and cuddling as usual ❤️”

“Booked Silvana last minute and she’s amazing! Very great with my pup and my cats and she goes above and beyond. She’s amazing with following directions and being respectful of our home. She takes Lenny on great walks and plays with him during drop in visits. She’s also very responsive! Would highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I have two adopted cats and they’re my whole world. I love all cats and can often be spotted stopping on my walks to give stray cats some love. I will give your cats all the love, play and care they’re missing while you’re away. I will send you lots of photos and am very competent to follow specific instructions.

“Tina was WONDERFUL! She was incredibly communicative and sent lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. When our cat got sick, Tina came early the next morning to check on him, make sure he was okay, and kept us updated even more than usual. We were so grateful for her care, responsiveness, and attention during a stressful situation. I’m so glad we booked with Tina and would absolutely book with her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life and love caring for and cuddling them. My teenage son wants to be a veterinarian and also loves researching pet breeds and their needs. I work from home and would love to have more pets to cuddle, walk and care for. We play with and cuddle the dogs as much as they would like. The cats are the boss - we leave the interaction up to them. We will play and cuddle if they want it - or just be nearby if they prefer. All pets are welcome to be on furniture and in beds - whatever makes them happy :) We live across the street from the San Diego Yacht Club so have a beautiful walking trail we can take dogs on walks on - and also have an outdoor seating area and balconies for both dogs and cats to sit in the sunshine with us. I am home full time now so have lots of time to devote to pets. They are my priority when here and my goal is to send them home well taken care of and happy. Our home is in a small community in Shelter Island with lots of space by the water for nice shady walks and also fenced in areas where the pets can sit outside with me and my family and enjoy the outdoors.
About: Hi! I’m a reliable, dog loving sitter with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all kinds, from my family’s Rottweiler to dogs I’ve watched for friends, family, past employers and current employers :). I know every dog is different, so I focus on making them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I’m able to build my day around pet care. I also like to stay active, which makes dog walks a natural part of my routine. Whether it’s morning, midday, or evening, I can be available to give your dog the attention and care they need. I usually just follow whatever routine your dog is already used to (feeding times, walks, playtime, all of that) so nothing feels off for them. In your home, I try to keep things as normal and low stress as possible. If they’re with me, they’ll get regular walks, attention, and a calm, clean space to hang out. I’m pretty attentive and good at picking up on what a dog needs, whether that’s more activity or just time to chill.
“Gaby took very good care of my dog with separation anxiety. I was initially worried as my dog has never been with a dogsitter before but Gaby kept Shio happy and relaxed throughout her stay. She sent me updates throughout the day too. Would definitely bring Shio back when we visit san diego again.”

“Hope was so amazing! She kept my pup so comfortable and gave him all the cuddles and lots of walks. She also accepted our last minute request for daycare which was very appreciated. We will definitely use her next time we’re in town.”

About: I have grown up with dogs, but more recently, raised a 13-year-old beagle named Scurvy (he passed away two years ago), so I have all the dog experience needed to care for your baby(ies)💗I want to help others while helping my heart heal as well. Walks, feeding, bathing, allergy issues. I even have a kennel and toys:) I just got my master’s degree (le phew!), so my schedule has freed up significantly. Also, my boyfriend works remotely- the puppers won’t ever be alone. My boyfriend has two friendly cats that are spayed and neutered. Pottie places are in our unfenced backyard, so it is easy to relieve your pet(s).
“My Chauncey really likes Kelsey. He walks out of her home with a prance in his step. She always texts me, sends me photos of him, her care is amazing. Thank you!”

“Elle was fantastic! She was very communicative and made sure Benny had a great stay. He got lots of play time, naps, and treats so he was basically in heaven! Thanks Elle :)”

About: * 2+ dogs I only offer house sitting at your place no boarding* Coverage area Point Loma and OB or 10 minutes from MCRD*now booking October-December 2026* I love dogs! Big or small, young or old, your fur baby will be loved and entertained. I like to go on walks daily, I also offer house sitting, so your pup can stay where he or she is more comfortable. No extra charge for extra pets :) House sitting rate includes overnight stay and a mid day walk. Most days I will stay at your house longer than that, but that’s the bare minimum you can expect. I live my life out of your house and will be in and out during the day. As a dog mom, I know how hard it is to find someone you trust around your babies! I will love on them and make sure they are happy. . I usually do a short walk in the morning, another one around mid day, and a longer one in the afternoon. I look forward to meeting your pup! Two or more dogs from the same family, I stay at your house . I can handle medication, injections, and bathe them if needed. I spend extra time at the beginning building a bond with your dog, and making sure he/she is comfortable around me. I'm happy sleeping with your dogs in bed. I don't really have a set schedule, if your pup is good in the car and happy to go on adventures, I take them along if I'm running an errand or going to lunch, if they're happy at home, I come back for pee breaks. I am rarely out at night. If I am staying at your place, I ask that you turn off inside puppy cameras. I never bring dogs from another family into your home. I usually cross the street when we walk, even if your dog is friendly, because you never know who is coming. If your dog has a great come back command, I'm happy to do off leash areas, but usually take the time to bond with a leash before doing that.
About: I am a college educated adult male. I live in Point Loma. I work at home and am typically very flexible. I walk my own dog twice daily and figured I could help others out. I have had dogs for 20 years. Currently my family of five has a Aussie Poo named Suzie. She is a lot of energy. So she gets lots walks. Our last dog lived 13 years so I know how to manage elderly dogs. Let me know if you need help. I work at home and am around most days to be able to work with your schedule. I have a professional career and thought doing some dog walking or sitting would get me out of the house. Looking forward to helping others out. I would like to offer my services for your pup as you need. I would prefer to watch them and care from them outside of my own home. But I am also flexible.

“Alejandra & Rodrigo did a wonderful job caring for Dobby. We received regular care summaries with pictures each day which put us at ease that each day went well. We could see that Dobby was in the loving care of warm and friendly caregivers. We would definitely work with Alejandro & Rodrigo again!”

About: I've grown up with dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, tarantulas, frogs, and turtles as pets. With over 20 years of pet-sitting experience, my services were mostly sought by family and friends. I've always been the go-to person in my family for pet care needs. I've house-sat my parents' two dogs numerous times, including a continuous four-month period while they traveled across the country in their RV. I regularly board one of my sister's cats when she's away for work and also take care of my other sister's dog, providing both walking and boarding services when she travels. I am a high school math teacher. So, I’m off during the summer. That gives me lots of free time where I can care for your pets. I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house, about 1200 square feet. My backyard is gated and has grass for pets to play on.

About: Growing up I had a chocolate lab and three doodles which formed my love for dogs. Dog sitting for neighbors was my very first job and have experience watching dogs for friends and family throughout my life. From high energy trouble makers to chill doodles I have plenty of experience and love for all types of dogs. I work remotely and spend most of my days in my office in my two bedroom apartment. I live alone and typically only leave during weekdays for the gym, grocery shopping and farmers markets as part of my daily routine. I am active and love to go on jogs to the beach to balance out the time I spend in front of screens. On weekends I like to go to coffee shops, golf, and occasionally get out of the city for a nature adventure. Dog sitting fits well into my chill routine. I’ve always wanted a dog of my own, but unfortunately I chose a career in sales after college. For several years I was lucky to have a roommate with a fluffy doodle who I loved and often took care of whenever he wasn’t around, but he has moved out. The frequent travel has held me back from getting my own and dog sitting when I’m home is my solution to getting that dog love missing in my life. I am happy to take care of all different types of dogs. If they are chill and just need love and attention, that works. If they need tons of walking and action, even better. I’ll be sending plenty of pics of your dog and me having a blast doing whatever it is you recommend they like to do. My apartment has hardwood floors, two balconies, is 1224 square feet, and plenty of large windows which dogs love to stare out of. I also have a giant dog bed my roommate left behind that I kept for pet sitting. There are doggie bags included right outside my apartment and the neighborhood (Dylan Point Loma) is very dog friendly. Convenient to take a walk at any time right from the apartment around Point Loma.

About: I’ve grown up with several pets including two dogs, one of which I cared for as they got old and sadly passed away. In addition to my own pets, I have been a go to house/dog sitter for a few neighbors for 5+ years. I love going on walks with doggos and staying active. I take care in being responsible and treating your pets as if they were my own :) I’m free to care before and after my school which goes from late morning to mid afternoon, then outside of my occasional one day of weekend work. I am careful to ensure the pet is well taken care of and comfortable. This might include outdoor time, food/meds, and making sure they do not feel alone at night. I’ve noticed that many dogs greatly enjoy spending as much time as possible outside. I also make sure to keep in good communication with owners and love sending little pic and videos to update.
About: I was raised a dog person and have turned into an animal person! I have 10 years experience working as a Vet Tech. I have cared for ages ranging from puppies to senior dogs. I am currently a stay at home dog mom and have a fairly open schedule. I have a pug named Peanut who is my whole world. My pug Peanut is fed twice a day and has her water bowl refreshed with fresh water daily. She goes on walks twice a day and enjoys her time outside. Peanut requires tons of attention and demands to be pet often. She is also bathed once a week. She also enjoys playing fetch as much as possible!
About: I have always been drawn to animals and love being around them. As a San Diego native and nature lover, a nice long walk with a dog is one of my absolute favorite things to do. I've lived with and cared for my brother's two dogs for almost a decade and have either owned or had experience with fish, birds, cats and bunnies. Although I'm currently at a point in my life where I'm not ready to have any pets myself, I'm the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family and am always open to the opportunity to have even more animals to care for and love on in my life. I work in a chiropractic office currently operating under a hybrid in office/ work from home schedule. I work 9-5 MWF but have flexibility throughout the rest of the week and weekends off. When I am caring for a pet they are my top priority, whether that means bringing the pet with me into the office or leaving midday for a check up and/or potty break. I have a fenced in concrete back yard with a swimming pool but the pool area has a separate gate that can be locked while caring for pets. We also have a side yard with grass to utilize while leashed.
“Kirra was amazing with our pups! They loved her from the start! She’s great with communication and keeping us updated. We’ll be more than happy to have her walk our little ones more often”

About: I offer housesitting with many years of experience with petting and as a Property/Estate manager in Montecito and Santa Barbara now San Diego. I only watch one family of pets at a time. Your pet will be treated as family. We go on hikes, beach days, walks, play outside in the yard and go to parks if these outings are appropriate for your pet. About this sitter: Really love what I do and the animals I care for. I grew up with many animals. My parents bred Doberman Pinchers. I love playing with the dogs, I believe it keeps both myself and the animals I watch happy and healthy to play out doors as much as possible. I also love to cuddle with the animals, they are so sweet. All the animals that come to visit us are treated as part of our family. Why I love dog sitting I grew up on a large property in San Diego with Doberman's, Germain Shepherd/collie mix and my grandfather raised Rottweilers. I just adore dogs and cats. I love to take them to the beach, hiking, and cuddle on the couch.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have been a go-to for family and friends who need an experienced and trustworthy pet /house sitter. I work from home and get to spoil my pup with walks every few hours, tons of cuddle and play time, and love to provide a happy home for doggos who need it when away from their “pack”. I also have some training experience from a professional dog trainer! ☺️ I grew up with pets my whole life and safety is a high priority for me. I take precautions to make sure dogs are safe at all times because I know I would want the same for my own pup! ☺️ I work full-time but since I work remotely, I have the flexibility to spend time taking care of furry loved ones. I can do some weekdays and have more availability on weekends. I have an apartment in a safe community close to the beach where I can take dogs for walks. I have a small outdoor space and a poodle mix who loves to play with others. ❤️
About: I grew up on a small farm and have taken care of a wide range of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, etc… I love all animals and have a soft spot for taking care of seniors. I am reliable and good with potty training as well! My schedule is currently very flexible as I’m in a transitional phase of switching careers, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets :) I’m happy to visit your pet at your home & will keep you updated on them as you would like. I approach all animals with love, so they are comfortable with me🙂

“Victoria has a lovely home and took great care of my Palmer! We got photos daily of them having a great time together with family and beautiful walks over Christmas break”

“Debbie is a fantastic dog sitter! We booked her very last minute and she was extremely easy to work with. Very communicative and her dog, maverick, is a sweetheart too. Will happily book again.”

“My little shy guy thrived with Kristen! He’s usually pretty reserved but he was already playing and having a blast on the first day. Kristen was great about sharing updates and communicating. She treated my pup with empathy and care. We hope to be back!”

“Third time with LeeAnn! She always takes such great care of Zoey and sends frequent pictures and videos. I was gone for 2 weeks and did not have one worry while I was away. Highly recommend LeeAnn!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Taylor & Sarah. They exceed all communication expectations and it was beyond evident in the photos they sent that our dog felt super comfortable and happy with them and Mango. As a rover sitter myself, I know what goes into caring for others dogs - we are so appreciative of their level of care, and they made us feel beyond comfortable while we were away :)”

“He’s great! My dog Nova loved it there and looked so happy in all the pictures he sent. He played with her and even gave her some training. Was very responsive and very understanding.”

“Cleo seemed to enjoy her stay! Photos and videos were sent throughout the duration of her visit and both William and his partner were very kind and easy to communicate with! :)”

About: I have had many dogs and help take care of many dogs. I have never had a problem and dogs are always happy with me. Respectfully will only watch dogs that are friendly, loving, and not aggressive. I work full time from home so can be with your dog all day :) happy to walk them and play with them through out the day. They wouldn’t have to be locked up all day. I’ve had multiple dogs throughout life and currently have a rescue dog. She loves dogs and is very happy to make new friends. She will do great with your dog too

“Teresa was truly incredible with our fur baby, Charlie. I had so much anxiety leaving him since we don’t travel often, but this year we’ve had more events come up and knew it was time to find a sitter outside of family. We’re so grateful we found Teresa. She treated Charlie like her own from the moment we met her. He has pretty severe anxiety and can be challenging at times, but Teresa handled everything with so much patience, kindness, and care. Not once did we hear a complaint—instead, she kept us updated with photos and videos of her comforting and encouraging him, which meant everything to us. Teresa, thank you again for taking such amazing care of our boy. We’re so lucky to have found you and will absolutely be booking with you for as long as we’re in San Diego. See you soon—and woof woof from Charlie 🐾💕”
