“Vanessa was so kind and flexible with us as our plans shifted. She took great care of our puppy Tulip and our home. We look forward to working with her again soon!”

“Sarah was amazing with Junie! She was very attentive and gave great updates with photos every day. There were fireworks while we were gone, which Junie hates, so Sarah let me know that Junie had a rough night but she sat with her and tried to get her to calm until Junie eventually slept beside Sarah in bed. Sarah also took great care of our house. It was so nice to come home to a happy dog and a clean house.”

“This was my first time using a service like Rover and I was pretty nervous about it but aleksandra came to meet me on her own time to meet the pups and introduce herself and I thought that was so professional and nice of her because it really put me at peace. She sent photos of my pups all weekend and I swear my house looks nicer than it did before I left lol. She is a wonderful caregiver for my dogs and such a nice person too. I'll be using her for sure everytime I travel.”

“Monica was fantastic! We needed a sitter for a few hours while we were visiting San Diego and staying at the Hotel Del Coronado. Our pup instantly liked her, which is fairly unusual. Lots of updates, photos and videos. Will use her again the next time we’re in town! Highly recommend for helicopter dog parents 😆”

“Darya was so great with our dog Binx who required special care as a senior dog with specialized care instructions. We appreciated how much quality time she spent with Binx and the updates she provided about how he was. Highly recommend!”

“Jarrod did an excellent job talking care of Sophie and went above and beyond when she was having tummy troubles. We was very communicative and sent great photos. He also took great care of the house. I hope he is available the next time I need pet sitting... There is a reason he is in such high demand.”

“Literally one of the best rovers I’ve ever had. He sent numerous pictures throughout the day, sent multiple updates, took care of the house and made sure to help my old pup be as comfortable as possible while I was gone. I will 100% be booking him again and as soon as I know I have plans. Thank you so much!”
“Gaby and her sister stayed at our place to watch our two beagles. We were given many updates throughout the weekend about how our dogs were doing. Gaby sent many pictures and videos. It is clear that she has a passion for animals that she shared with our pets through her service and care. I would highly recommend Gaby to anyone looking for high quality dog care. We will absolutely use her again in the future.”

“Kristin is the best! My dog loves her and I feel so comfortable when she’s watching him. I know he’s being well taken care of and I can just relax and enjoy my time away. Don’t hesitate to book her!”

“Once again, it was a pleasure having Izayah come watch our baby boy, Zuma. Zuma was really excited to see Izayah and we got good pics and updates throughout the time he was with him. Thanks for taking care of our sweet boy!”

About: I have 3 years in the pet care experience. 3 years volunteering at the Denver Zoo with the Lorikeets. 2 years of pet & home sitting for regular clients. 5 years of experience administering IV's as well as insulin medication. Pet care is a daily activity I love doing. The more people I can help, the better :) Animal care isn't just a hobby, but a passion. As someone who has pets of their own, I understand how important it is to follow any instructions you give me. I know how big of a deal it is to trust someone to take care of your pets, so I strive to make sure my clients come home to happy babies :)
About: My experience is mostly with cats, but I love meeting new puppies and getting to know their personalities. Each pet is special and deserves to feel safe when their parents are away. I work from home and can generally maintain your preferred schedule of check ins! I also love spending time with your cats if they need more attention than normal because you’re gone. I will make sure your kitties are well fed and have plenty of access to fresh water. I also know that having a stranger in their home can be hard so I will make sure that I keep to their boundaries while still letting them know they are loved and taken care of. The litter box will be cleaned every visit so no need to worry about any mess when you get home.
“Paige is such a genuine human being. So kind and full of joy. She is so sweet with our dude (🐶). Not a worry in the world when we are away knowing Paige is there. Superstar.”

“Luz was great! She was very detail oriented, professional, and a good communicator. I am thankful for the great care she provided my dog and I plan to rebook with her in the future.”

About: I have been taking care of animals ever since I was young! My first dog was a Husky mix, my first cat was a long haired Angora, and I have a great love for animals of all shapes and sizes. I’ve cared for young animals, rescuing and nursing both kittens and puppies, as well as cared for older seniors for family and friends. I’ve even lived with and cared for cows, chickens, turtles, and bunnies! I’m a confident, well-attuned pet sitter who would be delighted to meet and care for your furry family members. At the moment, I don’t have any pets of my own, so getting to walk, watch, and spend time with animals (and get to know my community) is a real highlight of my week. I am an environmentalist who works from home with a flexible schedule, so I have lots of time to spend with your animals! I am available for overnight stays or check in’s any night of the week, and can arrange stops as often as needed with a bit of notice. Don’t hesitate to reach out with last minute bookings — always happy to see what I can do! I have a fenced yard with no other animals at the moment — perfect to give attention and a calm setting to your pets! While I am happy to host your fur babies, I am also comfortable caring for them in your home where they are most familiar with their surroundings!

About: I've always had pets ever since I was very little, I adore all pets. I have had many, and currently have kitties and a puppy! I know a lot on how to care for them, and love playing with them to keep them happy and stimulated. I currently spend most of my time at home with my own pets, I occasionally babysit family as well. I love spending time outside, and hiking with my pets too! When I do in home care or check-ups I always want to make sure the pet is well taken care for so I always check their water, food, and let them go potty if it's a dog. I play with each pet to make them happy and have a fun activity, also walks are great. I can walk for miles if you have a dog that loves or needs a long walk, I'm all about keeping your pet happy and healthy!
Horton Plaza pet parents share their Rover experiences
Andrea watched our two cats and house for four days while we were away. I cannot speak highly enough of her. She is so sweet and takes her responsibilities very seriously. Her love for animals shows. She followed instructions to a T. Her communication was stellar. Every day I received numerous pictures and updates on the kitties. Put my mind at ease knowing she was here providing love and care to my fur babies. Came home to a clean house and happy cats. Andrea is wonderful. I will book her again and can recommended her without hesitation.

Kaitie did an outstanding job babysitting our dogs at our house while we were away for 4 nights. She was extremely good about communicating and sending pics of happy dogs on their neighborhood walks. It was a great reassurance to leave our boys in such capable hands. I highly recommend Kaitie and Rover. I will be a repeat client.
Sam did a great job watching our cats and the house. One of our cats is diabetic and Sam had never injected insulin into cats before so we invited her over a few days earlier to see the routine and practice. She did great as we thought she would as our diabetic kitty is very easy (cooperative) to dose. We would definitely use Sam again. Cats seemed happy and house was in good order.

Ayanna was absolutely wonderful with my animals! It was her first time sitting for us but my dog took to her immediately and didn’t seem to have any separation anxiety. Mostly because she kept her very busy with long walks and play time. She left the house in perfect condition, and my cats happy with clean litter boxes! Will def book again if I am still in San Diego and need pet care!

I had such a great experience with Troy. He took amazing care of my baby and it gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. Tater Tot was happy, well cared for, and clearly got lots of love and attention. On top of that, he was incredibly responsible with my home. I came back to everything spotless. honestly, it looked even better than when I left. That level of care and respect really stood out. I would absolutely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and thoughtful dog sitter!
