“Our dog Bo loves Sarah and we’re so happy he feels comfortable around her. He’s pretty high energy so she will take him outside and play fetch which is his favorite! She’s also really patient with him because he can be a little temperamental and we appreciate that!”

“Once again, Dwayne took great care of my reactive, temperamental mid-sized dog, Jacques, while I was away for a week. He messaged me daily with photos and an update, and alerted me when Jacques had a rough night with some stomach issue. He understood how to handle Jacques' unreliable moods and behavior, gave a twice daily medication, and followed our normal routine for feeding and walks. Jacques was very calm and chill when I returned home. Highly recommend for his ability to handle difficult dogs!”

“I had such a wonderful experience with Julia! She took amazing care of my dog and a last minute second dog. She also took great care of my home. She sent regular updates, photos, and thoughtful check-ins. My Dilly was when I got home. I would absolutely book Julia again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter!”

“Paige was able to watch our pup last minute when he got a mild case of Kennel Cough and we had a trip planned. She gave us updates, administered meds, and gave Finn lots of snuggles. We are SO thankful for her, and 10000% would recommended her to anyone!”

“Sarah helped us watch our 3 months old puppy while we attended a wedding. She took great care of our little Malibu and sent us video update. Would recommend Sarah and will definitely book again when we’re in town. (:”

“Dwayne was our first ever pet sitter, and he was awesome! We have 2 large dogs and 1 is cautious with new experiences. Dwayne was incredibly patient and after a day, the dogs both loved him. He sent us regular updates with pictures and video so we knew how they were all faring. Thank you! I highly recommend him.”

“Anjelica housesat with our cat and dog for a week and was great! Came back to the house super clean and our girls happy. Will absolutely hire her again and recommend!”

“Crystal stayed with my pups Bean & Benji for about a week. She was super communicative from the start and regularly sent updates/pics of my babies. Upon my return, the dogs were happy and healthy and my place was undisturbed. I’m SO grateful everything went smoothly and I was able to be in the moment at my sister’s wedding knowing my babies were in good hands. Will definitely keep Crystal at the forefront of my mind for the future. THANK YOU CRYSTAL!!!”

“Arlett was very sweet and took great care of our dog while we were away! She left our house very tidy and was very communicative. We will be glad to have her back in the future :)”

“Roni was a lifesaver after I had a last minute cancellation. We were able to meet and establish a dog-sitter relationship quickly and efficiently. Roni was communicative and sympathetic in a stressful moment for me. My dog, who can be slow to warm up with stranger, accepted Roni quickly. They followed instructions well and I’m excited to have such a good option next time I go on a trip.”

About: I've been the default pet person in my circle for years. When someone goes out of town, I'm the call they make. Over the years I've had turtles, lizards, fish, a hedgehog, dogs, and cats. I had a rescue dog from the Korean meat trade, which shaped how I approach animals that need a little more patience or time to warm up. I'm good at that. I set my own schedule and can work from anywhere. When I'm sitting for your pet, the day is built around them. No clock to beat, no hard out. If your dog needs an extra walk or your cat just wants company, that's what we do. I come to your place so your pet stays in their own space with their own routine. I follow your lead on feeding schedules, medications, boundaries, and anything else that matters to your animal. You'll get updates and photos throughout so you're never left guessing. I treat your home and your pet with the same care I'd want someone to bring to mine.

About: Originally from Anchorage, Alaska I grew up outdoors and was raised around animals all my life. I am experienced, high energy, patient, capable, and incredibly loving. As a child we had both large dogs and cats; their feeding and walking was my responsibility. As a teen, I graduated to main care giver of our animals; including exercise, bathing, vet visits and training needs. Ive cared for both cats and dogs from birth, adulthood and senior ages. I’ve helped both cats and dogs give birth, and cared for groups of kittens and puppies. I’ve trained multiple dogs in potty training, socializing, leash, and command work. I am very comfortable with all sizes of animals, large and small. My companions now are a senior cat and dog. I’ve had my 14 y/o Aussy since he was a baby, and we’ve explored the world together, running, hiking and camping. We even roadtripped here from Alaska! My cat is a 16 y/o rescue that we got as an adult. She is small and mighty, and rules our house. I’ve traveled out of town to housesit for friends and family’s animals. I have regularly pet-sat 2 to 5 dogs at a time. And I enjoy a house full of love! Whether you have a high-energy pup that needs a good run and romp outside, or a sweet senior cat or dog that needs cuddle on the couch with a book, I am your lady. I’m a preschool teacher during the week and I have lots of free time in the afternoons, weekends and holidays! I’m free weekdays after 2:30 PM M-F. I also have numerous holidays, I would love to fill it with playtime with your animals! I have a pet-friendly apartment, and a easy-going Australian Shepherd to keep your pup company. We would love to spend time together cuddling on the couch, or at the dog park or beach!
About: I’m a stay-at-home and remote working (part time currently) tech marketing professional, here in the heart of San Diego. This affords me **95% full flexibility and availability** in times I can provide dog walks, drop in visits, and accept daycare/boarding drop offs and pick ups! :) I care for all animals as if they were my own, because I understand the anxiety of leaving our furbabies when work or travel calls. 🥹❤️🩹🥰 I’ve loved caring for my Bombay 🐕 the past 5 years, and have dog walked + dog sat + cat sat for friends countless times. I live in an apartment with my chill 7 year old pup, and we enjoy walks in the neighborhood and the grass park every 2-4 hours. (On hot days, we drive straight to the grass park to avoid the cement/asphalt). This life style, with a commitment of only a flexible few hours of computer work at home each day, gives me a chance to give plenty of attention to all fur babies in my care. Especially for pups who may feel more at home in a relaxed setting (instead of the chaos of bustling day care centers or confines of a boarding kennel), my apartment can be the *calm* oasis for them whether the need care just for the daytime or for extended overnight boarding. 🥰 For cat parents 🐈⬛🐈😻: I cared for a lovely cat for 1.5 years that I dearly miss. I cannot board cats in my apartment, but I can do daily or twice daily cat visits for clients along with the duties of liter box / feeding / play time. Please reach out to me so we can arrange care! >>> I can often accept SAME-DAY-care requests after 9 AM if my calendar shows me as available. “I cannot recommend Joanne enough! I had a last-minute family emergency and she stepped in to take amazing care of my dogs. She was incredibly communicative, kept me updated the whole time, and my dogs absolutely adored her. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in great hands. I will definitely be booking Joanne any time I need a sitter!”

“Yesenia is fantastic! She cared for our kitties like they're her own. One, in particular, was going through some health challenges, and Yesenia took extra care to tend to her medication and special diet. She also played with them and kept us updated throughout, including lots of pictures.”

“Luz was a great house sitter for us while we were away. Our dog Frannie was well taken care of and Luz is so sweet and responsive. Would definitely have her watch Fran again.”

“This is the best dog sitting experience I have had in awhile! Allison is very detail oriented and i felt comfortable with her right from the meet and greet. I have two cattledog mixes, and she made sure that their energy needs were met but also they got their snuggle time too! She gave plenty of updates and we came back to a clean and organized home. I had no worries and was able to enjoy my time away. I cannot recommend her enough and i look forward to the next time we need to book her again in the future.”

Memorial pet parents share their Rover experiences
Bonnie is a wonderful pet sitter! She’s watched our dog and two cats several times now. They can be a mischevious bunch and she’s always patient with them. I can tell from photos Bonnie shares, everyone is happy to be in her care and feels comfortable and safe. Including our extremely shy cat!

Lyn was amazing 👏 so flexible and sent constant updates. It was the first time I'd done a home-sitting, I was slightly apprehensive to have a stranger in our home, but felt very at ease with Lindsay. I was able to enjoy my time away without the stress and worry. 10/10 would recommend and use again. Shaka had the best time.

Sylvia did a great job with our 3 dogs. 2 of the dogs are super reactive and fearful of strangers but they warmed up to Sylvia very quickly. My 16 year old senior dog with eating issues ate very well and enjoyed his daily walks.. She sent us daily pictures and videos of the dogs that reassured us that the dogs were happy and well looked after. I would definitely have her take care of our dogs again!

The best of the best. Aleksandra took the best care of my dog and met all of his high maintenance needs and then some. She kept me updated and sent pictures and did more than she was asked. I was nervous leaving my dog for the first time and it was such a great and calming experience for both of us.
Monica did an amazing job watching my dog. She was very responsive, open to meeting us in advance and arrived early to do a key exchange and go over the care instructions in detail. She kept me informed on the well being of my dog and left my place identical as when I left it. I have great appreciation for the care she provided and I have every intention to use her again as needed. It is obvious she loves pets (my dog especially) and takes her responsibilities seriously.

Absolutely amazing! I can easily say Izayah is THE best dog sitter I have ever hired to take care of my dogs! He learned the interests and quirks for each of my dogs and made sure to give them the best time while I was away. From long walks to snuggle time in the living room, he has gone above and beyond for my dogs, treating them as if they were his own. He does a phenomenal job keeping me posted on their daily adventures, filled with tons of photos and videos. I cannot recommend him enough!
