About: I absolutely love animals. As a kid, I took an immediate interest in knowing just how to communicate, and understand dogs and cats. I even went with a friend to her puppy training course to learn more at age 10. Since then, I've expanded my knowledge and am pretty good at understanding body language. Just like humans, animals need to feel safe and comfortable with a new person. I understand that each animal has their own personality and quirks. Which can mean a different transition period for every pet. I'm a patient and understanding animal lover, I'll make sure to let your pet know that I mean them no harm and they're safe with me. No matter how long that takes. That goes for you too! Especially during this uncertain time. I'm very flexible and I understand this is your and your pet's home. I recently moved back to the area and am available for scheduling. I have standing appointments on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 until 5pm, otherwise I am happy to play with your pups! I make sure to write down all of your pet's specific needs and instructions. I keep a very clean house and make sure that all windows and doors are locked at all times. If there are specific security measures you prefer I.e. (leaving different lights on at night and/or a radio on) I'm happy to oblige. I will never let your pet off leash and will always go by the rules and suggestions you have given me. I will always clean up after your pet! As I've mentioned before, I listen to you about any quirks your pet may have and make sure to work with them.

About: I’ve always grown up around dogs. Growing up we had several black labs, and a golden retriever. I love animals and I have lots of experience with puppies. I’m an active person so taking your dog on a long walk is no problem for me! I’ve dog sat all kinds of dogs including a senior German shepherd for the last 8 years. I have a very flexible schedule that changes week to week. This means that when I’m watching your pet or walking your dog, my attention is able to be fully on them and I have availability throughout the week. I am very respectful of your space and treat it like it’s my own and try to leave it better than when I found it. That goes for your fur baby too!

Karla is a fantastic pet sitter! She truly exceeded expectations. On the day of our departure, our cat was uncomfortable with an irritated ear and a bit moody. Karla was very patient with him on their first day together. By the second day he was feeling much better & snuggling with her. She was very respectful of our space & left our house super clean. She was reassuring to any of my concerns & sent plenty of pictures.
Carter and Ashley watched our dog for three days while we were out of town. They sent lots of photos and it was clear our pup had a great time with them. She was very happy and relaxed when we returned. There were lots of of walks, and even a hike and beach time. They left our place in great shape. Bethany was incredibly kind and accommodating when I needed someone to stay at my home (very last minute on my end) for a weekend. She took amazing care of both of my boys 🐾 and handled one of my dog’s injury situations so well, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. This is my first time using Rover and I'm so grateful I found Vanessa. I have an old blind, Australian Cattle Dog with a heart condition who is selective with people and dogs. He warmed up to Vanessa quickly during our meet and greet, and I fully trusted him in her care. We also have a cat who quickly fell in love her. Vanessa was a great listener as I outlined my dog's quirks, and asked if she could take videos of how I administer the medication etc. to keep his routine as normal as possible. She was professional, great at communication, quick to respond, and arrived on time (actually early). A couple of days before we left, I asked her to come earlier than the proposed time and she was able to accommodate that no problem. The house was left in great condition - the animals were happy and safe, and I will definitely book Vanessa again in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of our pack!
Elise did a wonderful job of house sitting for me. She gave me frequent updates on how Georgie was doing and did a fabulous job of making him and me feel comfortable. She’s great at communicating and very responsive. I think she’s especially good at adapting to unexpected situations and keeping pet parents in the loop. Mara was great both with our dogs and with flexibility in our busy graduation weekend schedule! Our dogs haven’t had much experience with other caregivers, and they trusted her quickly and enjoyed their time with her. She was able to take each of their unique needs and personalities in mind when planning for their care each day! 10/10 would recommend!
