“Araceli was fantastic watching Roxy and Sushi! She kept me updated with plenty of photos and videos, so I always knew how they were doing. Both pups clearly had the best time and came home happy and relaxed. I’ll definitely be booking with her again — highly recommend!”

“Just picked up my pup from Robin & Rahn. They sent daily pics and videos and it was obvious that Freddie loved his stay with them. I felt so comfortable leaving him with them and will use their services again, if I need too.”

“Ana is my go-to sitter in San Diego! My dog gets anxious away from home and Ana created a calm and welcoming environment. He’s also a picky eater but takes oral medication everyday. Ana was able to ensure he was taking his meds. It was such a relief having someone so wonderful and attentive watching him while I was away. I also appreciated all the communication—lots of photos and texts describing daily walks and activities and anything that was out of the normal. Can’t recommend Ana enough!”

“Lori watched our dog Hana for four nights and we couldn’t be more pleased. Hana can be very anxious and temperamental, but Lori exceeded our expectations and was able to form a bond with her quickly. We usually avoid boarding Hana at larger facilities because she becomes overwhelmed and overly anxious. However, Lori was able to provide Hana with much more intimate care where she felt safer. Lori provided daily updates showing us that Hana was active and well taken care of. This made it much easier to feel at ease while we are on vacation. We will certainly be using her again.”

“Kaitlin and Verle took such great care of our dog! He was calm and happy when we picked him up, and I would definitely feel comfortable booking again!”

“Rylee had another great stay with her fave babysitter, Ken. She gets so many walks and all the cuddles she needs. Ken expertly handles all her puppy energy and early morning wake ups. Rylee is looking forward to her next stay:)”

“Phillip is just the best!! He has taken great care of our senior dog and loved on her as if she was his own dog, we absolutely trust our dog is in good hands with Phillip.”

“Chau is awesome! We used her for our first Rover experience and were so impressed. She took our dog on walks every day and sent us photos. I would highly recommend Chau!”

“Cristina was the best sitter I have had for Valentina! She was extremely communicative and made me feel that Valentina was safe throughout her whole stay. I had several delays to my trip and Cristina was super flexible, allowing Valentina to stay longer than expected. We appreciated this so much. Book with Cristina, she is awesome!”

“Maddie took care of our 11 year old Labrador. My dog was lightly exercised as requested, photos sent twice a day and basically spoiled. Thanks Maddie. I am very particular with my furry family member and Maddie was excellent. Highly recommend”

“My dog had a great time with Alexis, Steven, and River. I always appreciate getting pictures of my baby girl when I’m out of town and they sent me several smiley photos of Patches on walks and getting lots of snuggles. I felt good knowing that Patch was being taken good care of while i was gone!”

“Alisiene was a great find and I would give her 10 stars if I could! From our initial communication to the meet and greet to the actual stay and final pick up, she was friendly, professional, communicative and extremely kind. Bob staid with her for a week and A’s daily updates kept us connected to him. He warmed up to her and her dogs almost immediately and I was thrilled he was part of their pack. Highly recommend.”

“Vanessa provided excellent care for Charlie. He got out on neighborhood walks, had open access to her large, fenced in yard, and got to play with her dog too! He came home very happy. We’d definitely book again.”

“Jessica was an amazing sitter while we were away. She was kind, thoughtful, and was even able to watch our kitten Dolly for the weekend with such short notice. She sent us updates about how Dolly was adjusting along with photos. It’s clear her home is full of animal lovers! We could not recommend her more. Thank you Jessica!”

“Izac is the man!!!! Saved the day for me. I had left my dog with another sitter that I was not stoked on. He went out of his way to go pick up my dog, took great of him, sent me tons of pictures, took him in walks. My dog was happy when I picked him up. Thanks Izac!!!”

“This is the second time Kalista has sat for my 2 cats (this time while I've been on vacation overseas). I was able to rest easy knowing she takes wonderful care of them. She even swept/vacuumed on her last day which was unexpected and TOTALLY appreciated :) I can't recommend her enough!”

“Ashley is a great cat sitter. She completes all tasks around our house effectively and per our directions. We have a special snowflake kitty who takes a lot of medications and Ashley has no problem administering pills and liquid medications. She is our go-to sitter and we would recommend her to everyone!”

About: I’ve always been comfortable caring for cats and understanding their different personalities and needs. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, play with, check in on, and care for their cats while they were away. I know how important patience, cleanliness, and a calm environment are for cats, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

“Monica was very flexible, communicative, and helpful. She took care of my two cats while I was on vacation for a few days. Highly recommend and thank you Monica!! 😊”

“Marie went above and beyond to take care of our cat Reggie! Our sitter had to cancel last minute prior to our weekend away planned and in all the panic I had reached out to Marie who was thankfully available. Her communication was wonderful while we were gone sending the sweetest pictures of our little man. Our apartment complex gate was also inconsistent and through it all she was so kind and wonderful to work with even with the challenges. We would love to have Marie back again soon! She saved our weekend trip and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

“Crystal did an excellent job caring for my fur child. Crystal was very punctual, played with and gave lots of attention to my cat while I was away. I will be booking Crystal again and highly recommend their services.”

“Vanessa was great! My cat tends to be skittish and kind of unwelcoming but he seemed to take to her super well. Appreciate all the extra effort playing and spending time with him.”

About: For cat parents 🐈⬛🐈😻: I cared for a lovely cat for 1.5 years that I dearly miss. I cannot board cats in my apartment, but I can do daily or twice daily cat visits for clients along with the duties of liter box / feeding / play time. I care for all animals as if they were my own, because I understand the anxiety of leaving our furbabies when work or travel calls. 🥹❤️🩹🥰 I’ve loved caring for my Bombay 🐕 the past 5 years, and have dog walked + dog sat + cat sat for friends countless times. Please reach out to me so we can arrange care! >>> I can often accept SAME-DAY-care requests after 9 AM if my calendar shows me as available. (I understand sometimes things happen last minute and you need a trustworthy person to step in and care for your pet).

I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine, as I organize my activities to be present and attentive throughout the day. I spend most of my time at home, which allows me to supervise, play with, and attend to the needs of each pet. I adapt to their feeding, walking, and rest schedules so they feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. I provide a calm, safe, and supervised environment. I always respect each pet's routines and preferences, observe their body language, and act with patience. I keep the areas clean and safe, and I take controlled walks according to the owner's instructions. If I care for the pet in their home, I follow all instructions to maintain their usual space and routine.

Ive had multiple pets, including my current border collie Kiko, my late Russel terrier Roscoe, multiple birds, fish and even guinea pigs! I have also cared for the dogs/cats of many of my friends and family!! I promise to give your pets all the love, play and care they need and I am excited to be your pet sitter 🕺 I am currently a part-time student and am taking a short break from work due to school, so I will have plenty of time to play and care for your pet! My schedule does vary from month to month, but in general, I am free after 3pm till night everyday, or the entire day on days I do not have school! In addition, they will get all the potty breaks they need, be well fed, hydrated, rested and played with!
About: I absolutely love animals. As a kid, I took an immediate interest in knowing just how to communicate, and understand dogs and cats. I even went with a friend to her puppy training course to learn more at age 10. Since then, I've expanded my knowledge and am pretty good at understanding body language. Just like humans, animals need to feel safe and comfortable with a new person. I understand that each animal has their own personality and quirks. Which can mean a different transition period for every pet. I'm a patient and understanding animal lover, I'll make sure to let your pet know that I mean them no harm and they're safe with me. No matter how long that takes. That goes for you too! Especially during this uncertain time. I'm very flexible and I understand this is your and your pet's home. Please rest assured that I will ahear to any requests made regarding health and safety. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I recently moved back to the area and am available for scheduling. I have standing appointments on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 until 5pm, otherwise I am happy to play with your pups! I make sure to write down all of your pet's specific needs and instructions. I keep a very clean house and make sure that all windows and doors are locked at all times. If there are specific security measures you prefer I.e. (leaving different lights on at night and/or a radio on) I'm happy to oblige. I will never let your pet off leash and will always go by the rules and suggestions you have given me. I will always clean up after your pet! As I've mentioned before, I listen to you about any quirks your pet may have and make sure to work with them.

“Ramisha took excellent care of my two cats while I was away. Being my first time using Rover, I was a bit anxious but she was very sweet and responsive and my cats warmed up to her very quickly! I would definitely recommend her for any pet needs and will be rebooking her for future needs. :)”

“She is the best rover we’ve ever had. Extremely communicative, can problem solve, and genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with the animals. Highly recommend!!”

“Alexandra was fantastic!! Great care taker, super responsive, very flexible on time (she accepted the job even tho i gave zero advance notice!). Plus she sent us pics of our dog proactively. Thanks Alexandra!!”

About: I used to have a cat and a hamster and currently own a dog. I have personally trained him and he is now living with my family! I currently go to college in the morning so my availability will be the afternoons along with the weekends in the afternoon and night! I can do boarding on the weekends while caring during the afternoon on the week days! I enjoy playing or relaxing with your animal depending on what they like to do! For dogs, there is a pet relief area in my apartment building however if they are not comfortable with that and/or you have a senior dog, i do have fake grass on my patio right outside of my apartment!
“Leigh was amazing! I highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs. I was worried about getting a dog sitter for Pierre, particularly out of town, but it was phenomenal. She made the entire experience completely stress-free. She gave frequent updates and my sweet boy really enjoyed spending time with her.”

“We had a great experience! Isabella and her bf were incredibly flexible and accommodating, even with our last-minute daycare request while we were visiting San Diego. Fendi had a wonderful time and got plenty of exercise, including trips to the dog park. We really appreciated the updates and care they provided. Would definitely book again!”

“Everything went perfectly! Ashley was great with communication and kept me updated so I knew Luna was doing well. Luna seemed very comfortable and happy when I picked her up. I’d definitely book again!”

“Lara was absolutely the best at taking care of our pup Perseus. He got along well with her, she knew how to make him comfortable in a new place, and she sent pictures and videos during the day care.”

About: I’m a stay-at-home and remote working (part time currently) tech marketing professional, here in the heart of San Diego. This affords me **95% full flexibility and availability** in times I can provide dog walks, drop in visits, and accept daycare/boarding drop offs and pick ups! :) I care for all animals as if they were my own, because I understand the anxiety of leaving our furbabies when work or travel calls. 🥹❤️🩹🥰 I’ve loved caring for my Bombay 🐕 the past 5 years, and have dog walked + dog sat + cat sat for friends countless times. I live in an apartment with my chill 7 year old pup, and we enjoy walks in the neighborhood and the grass park every 2-4 hours. (On hot days, we drive straight to the grass park to avoid the cement/asphalt). This life style, with a commitment of only a flexible few hours of computer work at home each day, gives me a chance to give plenty of attention to all fur babies in my care. Especially for pups who may feel more at home in a relaxed setting (instead of the chaos of bustling day care centers or confines of a boarding kennel), my apartment can be the *calm* oasis for them whether the need care just for the daytime or for extended overnight boarding. 🥰 For cat parents 🐈⬛🐈😻: I cared for a lovely cat for 1.5 years that I dearly miss. “My dog and I met with Shane and Chris for a meet-and-greet before I booked them for a day. They were so nice and genuine during both the initial visit and the day-of daycare that i was put immediately at ease for leaving them with my senior dog. I got to see their backyard (so spacious!), and I knew that Ghibli would love sunbathing there and be his lazy self. I wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.”

“Sonya and her son are super sweet! They took very good care of my boy and it was the very first time Ive ever let someone take care of him other than family! She is very communicative, sent pictures, and gave me updates! I will be booking with her again 😊”
“Zaira was a great sitter and provided several photos during my dogs day care with her. I would recommend her to others and plan to book with her again in the future.”

You can immediately tell she's a dog lover and understands their little personalities and needs. She was so easy to communicate with, extremely flexible with drop off and pick ups, and sent the most adorable photos. Thank you so much, Lisa!”

“Natalie exceeded my expectations! Dropped off a new puppy for the evening and everything went perfectly. The pup came home happy and even slept through the night, will definitely work with Natalie in the future!”

About: I have cared for bottle babies all the way to senior animals that need meds and additional support. Big and small I love them all! I have socialized the shyest of cats, and the pups that pull and bark. I can administer medication oral and otherwise. I also know how to use a variety of leashes and collars. I have walked over 300 dogs, and work with a reputable rescue in SD to foster cats and puppies. I am my family and friends’ resident dog sitter for many years! I’ve also volunteered at shelters and adore all animals. I’ve even sat for snakes, Guinea pigs, and a skink! I work full time from home, so I will be able to give your loved one 24/7 care! I love taking walks around the neighborhood in South Park, and so naturally already spend a lot of outdoor time. I live right next to a dog park, and have a lot of flexibility. We have a dog friendly resident cat, and thus have a lot of cat and dog equipment at all times in our home. A lot of cozy spots to rest! I will care for your pet as if theyre my own! I am the trusted go to person for all my family and friends, and have over 20+ years of experience. I also work with a reputable rescue in SD who have done frequent home visits and partnerships. I’ve cared for over 100+ animals in my home or the person’s home. I follow instructions very well, and am a very neat and tidy person!
“Adrian was amazing! She was super flexible with my changing plans. I love that she gave a full update at the end of the stay so I knew he was in good hands! Totally recommend:)”

“It was clear that our 2 year old pup had a great time playing with Jessica's dog all day. She passed out on the couch right after dinner with no interest in training or treats, she was that tired (which we love for her). We look forward to having Jessica care for her more in the future.”

About: Howdy! I've been on rover for a few years now. I briefly stopped in 2023 and then in 2024 I moved down to SD. Now that my pooch and I are settled in we are ready to dog sit again! Throughout my time with Rover I developed a number of regular folks that trusted their dogs with me and my pooch. I have one dog, Butler. He's 8 and is a loving and patient dalmatian. And as you can see in the photos uploaded he definitely enjoys the dog company 🐾 See below for my work schedule :) I work in the office two days a week and work from home the other 3. On the work days in the office I am gone the whole time so I ask that your pooch is well acclimated to being able to be left alone for that extended period of time I live in an apartment right now that has plenty of parks around it so to make sure the dogs get exercise we can either go on long walks at least twice a day or go to the nearby parks
About: I grew up with parents who owned their own animal shelter, so caring for dogs has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Being around dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities taught me how to understand their needs and provide patient, loving care. As a Navy veteran, I’ve also developed strong responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail. I treat every dog like family and am committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment so both you and your pup can feel comfortable and at ease. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up with parents who owned an animal shelter taught me the importance of feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, and giving pets plenty of love and attention. I have a flexible schedule and make time each day for walks, outdoor activities, and quality one-on-one care, ensuring every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I provide loving, attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs. In my home, I create a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of playtime, exercise, potty breaks, and affection. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if needed, and lots of companionship. Having grown up with parents who owned an animal shelter, I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, and I treat every pet like they’re my own.

“One of our dogs is very wary of new people and takes a long time to warm up to them. Not with Kali. She met him once before we left on vacation. Her first walk it took him 2 blocks to chill out. After that he was so stoked to see her and leave the house with her. Dogs came back so happy and fully exercised. Highly recommend. Will 100% use her again.”

“Armando was a life saver! I needed a last min walk because I got so busy with work and my pup was being a distraction. He was so kind and Presley came back very tired (yay)! I’ll book him again for sure”

About: With six years of experience nurturing cats and dogs, I'm passionate about extending my care to your beloved pets. My trustworthiness has been proven by friends, family, neighbors, and more, making me the ideal choice for your pet-sitting needs. I presently work part-time as a nanny, which grants me ample daytime availability to drop by and provide essential care for your pets, including feeding, playing, and walking. My active lifestyle aligns perfectly with my love for taking dogs on enjoyable walks, and I equally enjoy engaging with cats, recognizing the significance of keeping them active and entertained. I believe in maintaining animals in their familiar surroundings and, as such, my pet care services are primarily centered on caring for your pets in and around your own home.
About: I will tailor the love and care for your pet based on his or her behavior and personality. I have both a senior dog and a pup, so there’s a huge range of personalities in between both. My senior dog requires at least an hour inside then wants his own time in the yard as for the pup he requires a lot of exercise and then nap time in the couch. Let me know your fur baby ‘s personality and I’ll be sure to accommodate. At my home you have the option to be completely outside or inside, we have cement and grass and lots of fruit trees for them to smell and explore. I would prefer for your dog to be potty trained in advanced if he or she requires to be inside.

I started off at a doggy daycare/kennel and have plenty of experience providing animals with various levels of care. After a short while, I realized that my passion in life lies within veterinary medicine. I work at a very busy animal hospital where I’ve taken on several different roles including customer service representative, veterinary assistant, and inventory manager. I currently have two dogs of my own and I couldn’t possibly love them more than I do. They’re my children and I spoil them rotten. Every client I have whether that be in the hospital setting or pet-sitting can trust that I will always care for their pets as my own because my two pups are my world and that’s how I hope a veterinary professional or pet sitter would treat them. I work 4 10 hour days during the week but aside from that I have a very flexible schedule. Making sure any pets in my care get proper love and attention is a top priority of mine. I can even bring pets I am watching to work with me if desired so that we can hang out on my breaks and lunch hour. I live in an upstairs apartment so I personally have my dogs pad trained for emergencies and take them outside to use the bathroom (while leashed) every few hours during the day if I’m home. Otherwise my partner who works from home takes them out or they use the indoor pads as trained. I don’t typically encourage letting dogs be outside by themselves EVEN if the yard is fenced in. Working in veterinary medicine has made me all too aware of the freak accidents that can occur so I’m very much a helicopter mom to my own girls and even more so to my clients’ pets. Trusting someone to watch your animals is such a huge leap of faith and I take that incredibly seriously.
About: Hi! I’m Madelyn 😊 I’m a reliable, loving sitter based in Golden Hill! While I don’t have a backyard, I do have a secure, gated balcony where your pup can safely relax, sunbathe, and enjoy fresh air throughout the day ☀️ I also live in a beautiful, walkable neighborhood with nearby parks and dog parks for pups who are dog-friendly and enjoy getting out and exploring. Your dog will get lots of attention, affection, and care while they’re with me. I love incorporating walks, playtime, and calm, cozy downtime so they feel safe and at home. Outside of pet care, I’m a therapist — which means I’m naturally attentive, patient, and nurturing. I genuinely love coming home to dogs and creating a peaceful, loving environment for them while you’re away. Whether your pup is energetic or more calm I’ll make sure they feel comfortable! I DO NOT HAVE ANY PETS OR CHILDREN IN THE HOME 😊 I don’t work Sunday, Monday, or Tuesdays. Wednesday-Saturday my fiancé works from home for afternoon care and loves walks to the park with your dog 😊 I have a balcony where your dog can be outside and it will be gated for them. I will treat your pet like my own.

“My dog had a great time with Alexis, Steven, and River. I always appreciate getting pictures of my baby girl when I’m out of town and they sent me several smiley photos of Patches on walks and getting lots of snuggles. I felt good knowing that Patch was being taken good care of while i was gone!”

“Isabella was very nice and patient with my animals. Always letting me know how they were doing and what they were up too. She took very good care of both my dog and my cat and loved them like they were her own.”

About: Had my Golden Retriever over 14.5 years. We are very patient, around the house all day, and have some toys and treats that our sweet Bailey girl left behind we’d like to share! Will take your pup on walks, make sure they are fed appropriately and give lots of complimentary belly rubs. Both of us are home a majority of the day. We are active. Happy to take your pets on walks or any outdoor activities they may enjoy. Have a large condo so plenty of space. Can crate pet if you’d like but am flexible as long as pet is comfortable in our home. Have separate rooms and areas to put pets in if there are multiple or need their space.
“Lisa sent the cutest pictures during their stay, and my dogs absolutely loved being with her. They seemed so happy and comfortable—it honestly looked like they barely wanted to leave! I’d definitely trust her again and will be rebooking in the future 😊”

I cannot board cats in my apartment, but I can do daily or twice daily cat visits for clients along with the duties of liter box / feeding / play time. Please reach out to me so we can arrange care! >>> I can often accept SAME-DAY-care requests after 9 AM if my calendar shows me as available. (I understand sometimes things happen last minute and you need a trustworthy person to step in and care for your pet). “Carolina and her husband are wonderful! They took such good care of our pup while we were away. They were super flexible with a last minute booking and kept us in the loop with photos and updates throughout the weekend. It’s clear our dog had a great time with them and we’ll definitely reach back out in the future for other sitting needs! Thanks so much Carolina :)”

“Our Clover always gets the best care with Anar. It’s obvious that she enjoys being there when we’re away. She was wiped out after her last stay and passed out snoring when we got her home. Happy dog!”

“I’m not sure there are enough good things I can say about working with Melissa. From her communication, response time, regular photos of my pup…everything was phenomenal! I left Nayla (husky mix) with her for almost 2 weeks while I was on vacation abroad - Nayla can be a bit shy with new people, but instantly warmed up to Melissa the first time she met her, which put me at ease as well. I plan to use Melissa as a sitter whenever I go out of town… It’s so awesome to know my fur child is being loved and taken care of when I am away. Thank you Melissa!!!”

“We had an amazing experience with Matthew! He provided thoughtful updates throughout her stay, which really put me at ease. My dog has anxiety, so it means a lot to see her comfortable and happy with someone new—and that’s exactly what happened. When I picked her up, she was excited to see me and still playful with him, which says everything about the trust and bond he built with her. I’m so grateful for the care, patience, and attention he gave her. I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him, especially for dogs who need a little extra understanding.”

“Amory had an absolute blast with Kristen! She sent tons of daily photos of him playing, exploring, and getting so much love. Kristen was incredibly kind, responsive, and communicative, and she truly went above and beyond. She even picked up and dropped off Amory, which made everything so easy for me. Her home was full of fun toys, and it was clear Amory felt completely comfortable and happy. Her cat, Penny Lane, was also so sweet and gentle with Amory. They got along beautifully. Kristen has such a warm and calming vibe. Overall an amazing person to entrust your pet with. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”
