“She is the best rover we’ve ever had. Extremely communicative, can problem solve, and genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with the animals. Highly recommend!!”

“Andrea took excellent care of my two dogs while I was away on vacation. She provided drop in visits that included walking, brushing and lots of love. She is great with dogs and I will use her services again. Thank you, Andrea!”
“Alexia was so nice with our big boy! We were gone for an entire week and she stopped by twice a day. He got pets, brushes, walks, and fetch time!! Thank you Alexia!! Also, loved the pictures she took of our Wallace for us.”

“Christine was so amazing with our cat Nova! She played with her, fed her, and made sure her water and litter box was taken care of. She even supported with clean up after Nova threw up a little bit from eating too quickly. Nova is usually a little feisty but by the end she warmed up to Christine. Additionally, Christine scheduled a meet & greet with Nova prior to us leaving for the weekend- which was so appreciated as we were able to meet her, let our cat meet her, and provide instructions and directions in person. She is clearly knowledgeable about animals and went above and beyond to ensure Nova was well taken care of. She sent pictures and a little summary after each visit. She was kind, caring, and friendly & we definitely will have her take care of Nova again in the future. Would definitely recommend Christine!”

About: Let me tell you about my girl, what she meant to me, and how I will treat your companions because they deserve the same. I adopted my rescue dog years ago, and she became my best friend, companion, protector, and family. We shared life together. She taught me that trust comes first, that every one is different, and that patience, consistency, attention, and presence matter. When I first adopted her, I was told she didn't like affection or being held. What I learned was that she simply needed trust. Once she felt safe, she showed me who she really was. That experience taught me to pay attention, be patient, and let each one get comfortable in their own time. I understand the importance of routine, exercise, play, companionship, quiet time, and consistency. I pay attention to personality, preferences, comfort level, and the small details that help someone feel secure while their family is away. My girl recently passed away. I will not be replacing her. Instead, I decided to come here and help care for your boy or girl because they deserve the same attention, patience, respect, and care that she received throughout her life. I provide dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, playtime, companionship, and routine care. I own and operate my own business and work remotely during the week, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be present throughout the day. I can adjust my work around the needs of those in my care. I also drive part-time on some weekend evenings and can adjust my schedule as needed. For house sitting, I typically spend 2–4 hours of dedicated time each day focused on walks, play, care, companionship, and routine activities, in addition to the time I am present in the home while working remotely. Depending on the arrangement, I may be away for periods during the day, but I remain available for check-ins, walks, feeding, and care. My goal is simple: to provide reliable care, maintain routines, and help your boy or girl feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you are away. I own and operate my own business and work remotely during the week, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the day. I can adjust my work as needed to make sure your companion receives the attention, care, walks, playtime, and companionship they need. I also drive part-time on some weekend evenings and can adjust my availability when caring for your boy or girl. For house sitting, I am generally available for short-term and extended stays ranging from a few days to four weeks. My only regularly scheduled personal commitment is on Tuesdays, though longer stays can be planned around that with advance notice. I care for companions in their own environment where they are most comfortable and familiar. I understand that trust, routine, consistency, and attention are important. I take the time to learn their schedule, habits, personality, comfort level, and any special needs so I can maintain the routines that help them feel secure. I believe trust is earned through patience, respect, and reliable care. Some want attention immediately. Others need time and space first. I pay attention to their behavior and let them get comfortable at their own pace while maintaining their wellbeing and routine.
About: I am Bradley and I have taken care of dogs for the past 10 years. My own dog is almost 9 years old, 20 pounds, and is very friendly. I dog sit pretty often and love have extra furry friends stay with us. We have close access to grass for potty breaks and Balboa Park is only a few blocks away. We love to get outside and walk the neighborhood. I work from home, so I have lots of time to make sure any dogs staying with me has plenty of time to get outside and play. I typically am outside with my dog 4x a day. My own home has plenty of space to roam around. My dog is very friendly but typically keeps to herself even when other dogs are around. I am always available to help your dog for any particular need they might have.
“Amazing sitter! Very communicative and follows instruction very well. She spent a little extra time with our kitties because of all the medications one of them has. We are very appreciative!”

About: I used to have a cat and a hamster and currently own a dog (does not live with me). I have personally trained him and he is now living with my family! I currently go to college in the morning so my availability will be the afternoons along with the weekends in the afternoon and night! I can do boarding on the weekends while caring during the afternoon on the week days! I enjoy playing or relaxing with your animal depending on what they like to do! For dogs, there is a pet relief area in my apartment building however if they are not comfortable with that and/or you have a senior dog, i do have fake grass on my patio right outside of my apartment!

About: Hi, I'm Halle! I live in downtown SD with my roommate. We currently have a 20lb dog at home who I help take care of. My mom used to breed dogs so I am familiar with puppies as well. I've had all kinds of pets growing up from rodents to birds! As a small woman, I prefer small to medium sized dogs (under 50lbs) that I can physically handle in case they are leash pullers. I am happy to take care of larger dogs if they are more mellow. I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling. When housesitting, I can stay at your place for the majority of the day, but I sleep better in my own bed at night. Please note this before contacting me if you need overnight coverage. Every pet has different needs and personalities. I do my best to keep their routine consistent and familiar so they feel safe and calm while their family is away. I am open to accommodating whatever preferences you and your pet may have!

“Crystal was the absolute best! She was so consistent and I really felt like my cats were in good hands. She gave such great summaries of the visits and sent tons of photos. I will absolutely use Crystal for as long as she's pet sitting and would 100% recommend her to anyone!”

“Jarrod was an awesome sitter. He was very adaptable and patient with my old girl. He went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and took good care of her while I was gone. Thanks Jarrod!”

“Darya is fantastic with cats! Pepito is always well taken care of and happy when I get back. Darya communicates any issues very quickly, and makes sure Pepito has everything he needs while I’m away. She follows all the instructions for his care and send me cute photos with each visit :)”

About: Hi there! I’m new to pet sitting on Rover, but I’ve been a lifelong dog lover! I’ve had my own Pomeranian names Simba for 10 years, so I know how special our furry friends are. Right now, I’m looking for a job, so I have lots of free time to give your pup the attention they deserve! I offer dog walking and daytime at-home sitting in Downtown and nearby areas, so your dog will have a buddy all day. I’m excited to meet your pup and keep them safe, happy, and active! Requested information about your pet I just ask to let me know in advance what NOT to do/say with your pet. For example, my Pomeranian gets crazy zoomies if you say ‘who’s there?’, he rushes to my front door, spins and bark and it till he will not get absolutely tired. I would also like to know all important details about your pet friendliness with other animals and humans, their health and of course your preferred Pet Hospital. I’m currently actively looking for a remote job in Tech so I have all the time in the world to spend quality time with you fluffy friend. As I have my own pup waiting for me at home, I am looking for more standard working hours I’m not able to host pets at my home, but I’m more than happy to stay at your place for multiple hours during the day. I’ll follow all your pet’s routines, instructions, and any safety measures you have in place. Just let me know your preferences, and I’ll make sure I follow them closely!
“Sara was fantastic! My cat warmed up to her after just a day or two, which is almost unheard of, she sent great photos, and was an excellent communicator. Would absolutely recommend Sara to anyone and will rebook again!”

About: Hi! I love dogs and spending time outside, so dog walking is the perfect combo for me. I’m easygoing, reliable, and comfortable with all kinds of dogs. I’ll make sure your dog gets good exercise, attention, and lots of love—and I’ll keep you updated along the way 😊 I’m available on Saturdays and Sundays to drop in or take your dog on walks. If you work on the weekends or are away for the day I can help check in on your dog 😊 Your dog’s safety and comfort come first. I follow your routine, use safe walking practices, and keep you updated so you can feel at ease.
About: Hi! I’ve been dog and cat sitting for family & friends for quite a few years now. I have always loved animals, and have two kitties and 1 dog of my own now. I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all ages & sizes. I am experienced with administering medication to your animal(s). I grew up with a diabetic dog that required Injections and I am also a Registered Nurse. I’m open to pet sitting, walking, drop ins, and house sitting. Feel free to reach out if you want any additional information or have questions! I am currently waiting on my security clearance for a job at the VA, so my schedule is completely free. If you do not see your desired date or time, send me a message and I’m sure we can work something out! Whenever I would have to be in someone else’s home I would treat it with the utmost respect. I will ask for additional information on your pets so I can base my care on what they are already used to. My cats have a very specific routine, so I know how important it can be!
“Sandra is great with my basset hounds. They were not happy about getting their bath at first (being the spoiled children they are), but she has charmed them and now they are happy to see her!”

About: Hi! I’m Amy, a dependable and attentive dog lover who understands how important it is to find someone you truly trust with your pet. I have a senior dog of my own, Sammy, so I’m very comfortable with the routines, patience, and extra care that some dogs need, whether that’s slower walks, medication routines, or simply a calm and reassuring presence. I’m active, responsible, and love spending time outdoors, so I’m happy to tailor care to your dog’s needs, whether that means neighborhood walks, playtime, or relaxed companionship at home. I’ll care for your dog the way I’d want someone to care for mine: safely, lovingly, and with lots of attention to their unique personality and routine. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and pet care throughout the week. I do have a standing commitment on Monday and Wednesday mornings that takes me away for a few hours, but outside of that I have a lot of flexibility and can often accommodate a variety of schedules with advance notice. I prioritize safe, attentive, and individualized care for every dog. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, temperament, triggers, and any special instructions before providing care. I’m mindful of leash safety, secure doors and gates carefully, monitor for signs of stress or discomfort, and make sure they have fresh water, exercise, and a calm environment. I also understand that every dog is different, some want lots of activity and play, while others do better with a slower pace, extra patience, or a more structured routine. My goal is always to make dogs feel comfortable!

This was the 2nd time I used Alyssa, and I’ll be looking to rebook with her for my next trip! The consistency in her communication , above and beyond care, and eye to details and following through really helps take away a lot of the guilt of leaving your pet while on vacation!

Tina did a great job with Pook. She sent photos and information the entire time I was gone and Pook seemed very happy (and was happy when I returned). Also, Tina went above and beyond the call of duty when she contacted me to tell me that ants had invaded the house and gotten into the cat food and then did everything possible to control the problem. I will definitely ask Tina to care for Pook for my next trip.

Second time Sarah does drop-ins with my dog and I continue to be thrilled. Love her communication, card updates, pics, and videos on every visit. Makes me feel 100% comfortable that my pup is well cared for even when I’m thousands of miles away for work, and the updates bring a smile to my face. Can’t wait to book Sarah again soon!

Samantha did a great job watching the kitties. She followed the care instructions and extended efforts by cleaning up some messes from the cats and even gave our jumping spider some attention during my trip. Quick communication and responses which kept us at ease.

Brandon was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G with my cat while I was out of town for the weekend. My cat can need a lot of stimulation at times & Brandon was not only great at keeping him engaged but was also exceptional at reading when my cat needed some chill time. It’s super special to have someone who “gets cats” & pays attention to their subtle communications. Brandon is super organized, thorough, great at communication & following through with instructions & plans. Thank you again!
