About: Dogs have been part of my life since I was a child, and I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels for over 11 years. I was the proud owner of a special-needs senior dog who I cared for from the time I was 18 until he peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge, so I understand the patience, dedication, and unconditional love our pets deserve. I also regularly dog sit and have experience walking large breeds, handling excited or strong dogs on leash, and staying calm in stressful situations. Safety is always my top priority, whether we’re out for a walk or relaxing at home. I treat every dog like they’re part of my own family, making sure they receive plenty of exercise, affection, routine, and personalized care. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re apart. I’m currently in school, so I appreciate the flexibility that pet sitting provides. Outside of occasional Monday and Wednesday mornings, my schedule is very open, and I’m happy to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. If you’re located in the downtown area, I’m especially available for drop-in visits, walks, feedings, or last-minute check-ins. Caring for animals has been part of my daily routine for over 10 years, so fitting pet care into my schedule comes naturally. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine will always be my top priorities. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll follow your care instructions closely—from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and bedtime routines. I pay close attention to each animal’s body language and behavior and can recognize when something seems off. I have experience caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and medical needs, and I remain calm in stressful situations. I treat every pet as if they were my own, keeping them safe, loved, entertained, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: I’ve cared for pets for the better part of a decade, including my own 6 year old Australian Shepherd. Growing up I worked on a farm so I learned to be patient and tolerate all behaviors displayed by domesticated and non-domesticated animals. I currently work from 7am-3pm. As soon as I get home I walk my dog. At which point, part of our walk can be taking care of your pet in any capacity as we enjoy our time outside. He will not enter any residence and will remain outside until your pet is cared for. He’s great with all animals and if you’re comfortable with your pet meeting him, he will be happy to be their buddy. Living downtown, I have plenty of amazing parks and walkable areas I can take your dog. If you would like your cat walked that’s pretty cool too and I can provide the same resources in a manner that’s more suitable for cats.

About: Hi, I'm Halle! I live in downtown SD with my roommate. We currently have a 20lb dog at home who I help take care of. My mom used to breed dogs so I am familiar with puppies as well. I've had all kinds of pets growing up from rodents to birds! As a small woman, I prefer small to medium sized dogs (under 50lbs) that I can physically handle in case they are leash pullers. I am happy to take care of larger dogs if they are more mellow. I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling. When housesitting, I can stay at your place for the majority of the day, but I sleep better in my own bed at night. Please note this before contacting me if you need overnight coverage. I am happy to accommodate tourists who need a hotel sitter. Every pet has different needs and personalities. I do my best to keep their routine consistent and familiar so they feel safe and calm while their family is away. I am open to accommodating whatever preferences you and your pet may have!

About: I used to have a cat and a hamster and currently own a dog (does not live with me). I have personally trained him and he is now living with my family! I currently go to college in the morning so my availability will be the afternoons along with the weekends in the afternoon and night! I can do boarding on the weekends while caring during the afternoon on the week days! I enjoy playing or relaxing with your animal depending on what they like to do! For dogs, there is a pet relief area in my apartment building however if they are not comfortable with that and/or you have a senior dog, i do have fake grass on my patio right outside of my apartment!

I'm not just a sitter, I'm a dog owner who actually understands what you're trusting someone with. And as a Great Dane owner, giant breeds and big personalities are my comfort zone. No size is going to phase me! I run my own creative business, so my schedule is genuinely flexible in a way that most sitters can't offer. No 9 to 5 I'm working around. I can typically accommodate drop ins and walks at times that actually work for you, not just whatever's left in my day. I'm the dog mom who leaves a five page document for my own sitters, so trust me, no request is too silly. Special feeding routine? Weird little habit your dog has that you think "how will I explain this to the dog sitter"? I want to know. I'll follow it. And I always send photo updates so you're not just sitting there wondering how your pup is doing.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover who works from home, so your pet will have my full attention all day long. I currently have a cat and a 15 year old senior dog, so I truly understand the bond we have with our older furry friends. Since I care for a senior dog myself, I’m very comfortable with medical needs. I can easily handle: Injections (like insulin) and any oral medications. Special diets and strict feeding schedules. Senior care for pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. Because I’m home 24/7, I can provide constant companionship and as many potty breaks as needed. Your pet will be treated like family here I work from home full-time, which means I have a very flexible schedule. Your pet will have my companionship 24/7, with constant supervision and as many potty breaks or walks as they need throughout the day A typical day includes lots of cuddles, mental stimulation, and fun games. We will explore the nearby park and enjoy long walks. Since I’m always home, I can strictly follow any feeding or medication schedules your pet requires

“Christine was so amazing with our cat Nova! She played with her, fed her, and made sure her water and litter box was taken care of. She even supported with clean up after Nova threw up a little bit from eating too quickly. Nova is usually a little feisty but by the end she warmed up to Christine. Additionally, Christine scheduled a meet & greet with Nova prior to us leaving for the weekend- which was so appreciated as we were able to meet her, let our cat meet her, and provide instructions and directions in person. She is clearly knowledgeable about animals and went above and beyond to ensure Nova was well taken care of. She sent pictures and a little summary after each visit. She was kind, caring, and friendly & we definitely will have her take care of Nova again in the future. Would definitely recommend Christine!”

I adopted my rescue dog years ago, and she became my best friend, companion, protector, and family. We shared life together. For house sitting, I am generally available for short-term and extended stays ranging from a few days to four weeks. My only regularly scheduled personal commitment is on Tuesdays, though longer stays can be planned around that with advance notice. I care for companions in their own environment where they are most comfortable and familiar. I understand that trust, routine, consistency, and attention are important. I take the time to learn their schedule, habits, personality, comfort level, and any special needs so I can maintain the routines that help them feel secure. About: Hi there! I’m new to pet sitting on Rover, but I’ve been a lifelong dog lover! I’ve had my own Pomeranian names Simba for 10 years, so I know how special our furry friends are. Right now, I’m looking for a job, so I have lots of free time to give your pup the attention they deserve! I offer dog walking and daytime at-home sitting in Downtown and nearby areas, so your dog will have a buddy all day. I’m excited to meet your pup and keep them safe, happy, and active! Requested information about your pet I just ask to let me know in advance what NOT to do/say with your pet. For example, my Pomeranian gets crazy zoomies if you say ‘who’s there?’, he rushes to my front door, spins and bark and it till he will not get absolutely tired. I would also like to know all important details about your pet friendliness with other animals and humans, their health and of course your preferred Pet Hospital. I’m currently actively looking for a remote job in Tech so I have all the time in the world to spend quality time with you fluffy friend. As I have my own pup waiting for me at home, I am looking for more standard working hours I’m not able to host pets at my home, but I’m more than happy to stay at your place for multiple hours during the day. I’ll follow all your pet’s routines, instructions, and any safety measures you have in place. Just let me know your preferences, and I’ll make sure I follow them closely!

About: I have had dogs and cats from a very young age. I, (Stephanie) joined, the military was stationed overseas and often I would take care of dogs when people would leave for deployment it’s difficult being away from your furry friend but I’m happy to take over when you go!♥️ Isaac too has a long history of care taking of dogs since he was young on a farm. He similarily has military in his family including his father and sister and understands the challenges of being away from the ones you love. Our competition takes on 10-15 dogs. We give one on one time and attention to your pet which is rare in the industry. We take the responsibility to care for your dog very seriously and have back up help to protect and keep your dog safe and sound while you are away!👷🏾‍♀️⛑️ We love animals!. No worries when it comes to your pets meal times, no troubles when it comes to your pets medications, ( I use to do medication administration) no doubts that your four legged-love is going to have a fun time when it comes care. All we ask is that you give us the best instructions so they can be at their happiest until their furmom/furdad return home. I’d also like to share that I send a daily for the update for your pet!
