I pay attention to their behavior and comfort level, giving them space when needed and gentle interaction when they’re open to it. In a client’s home, I respect their space and keep everything tidy while focusing on the pet’s needs first. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for so their time away from their owner is as stress-free as possible.

She even supported with clean up after Nova threw up a little bit from eating too quickly. Nova is usually a little feisty but by the end she warmed up to Christine. Additionally, Christine scheduled a meet & greet with Nova prior to us leaving for the weekend- which was so appreciated as we were able to meet her, let our cat meet her, and provide instructions and directions in person. She is clearly knowledgeable about animals and went above and beyond to ensure Nova was well taken care of. She sent pictures and a little summary after each visit. About: Hi, I'm Halle! I live in downtown SD with my roommate. We currently have a 20lb dog at home who I help take care of. My mom used to breed dogs so I am familiar with puppies as well. I've had all kinds of pets growing up from rodents to birds! As a small woman, I prefer small to medium sized dogs (under 50lbs) that I can physically handle in case they are leash pullers. I am happy to take care of larger dogs if they are more mellow. I am very flexible when it comes to scheduling. If housesitting, I can be with your pet for most of the day. I am happy to accommodate tourists who need a hotel sitter. Every pet has different needs and personalities. I do my best to keep their routine consistent and familiar so they feel safe and calm while their family is away. I am open to accommodating whatever preferences you and your pet may have!
