“Monica is great with cats! She was very thorough with providing details about each visit and she also shared several very cute photos. I will absolutely be re-booking with Monica in the future 😊.”

“Aimi took care of Bubbles and Julian on short notice and kept us well posted on their time while we were away. She brought some mail in and was super responsive. She’ll be our regular sitter from now on!”

“Vanessa is the G.O.A.T.! I was worried about leaving my older dog behind for five days, as her only interest in life besides food is ME. The dog and I have a pretty codependent relationship. But Vanessa was not only super responsible with visits, walks, and food, I could see in videos that my dog was warming up to her and even looking forward to seeing her. Vanessa kindly sent me lots of reassuring photos and videos, which made a big difference. And on return my dog looked calm and healthy. Vanessa's care made all the difference. She's fantastic. THANK YOU VANESSA!”

About: I’m a stay-at-home and remote working (part time currently) tech marketing professional, here in the heart of San Diego. This affords me **95% full flexibility and availability** in times I can provide dog walks, drop in visits, and accept daycare/boarding drop offs and pick ups! :) I care for all animals as if they were my own, because I understand the anxiety of leaving our furbabies when work or travel calls. 🥹❤️🩹🥰 I’ve loved caring for my Bombay 🐕 the past 5 years, and have dog walked + dog sat + cat sat for friends countless times. I live in an apartment with my chill 7 year old pup, and we enjoy walks in the neighborhood and the grass park every 2-4 hours. (On hot days, we drive straight to the grass park to avoid the cement/asphalt). This life style, with a commitment of only a flexible few hours of computer work at home each day, gives me a chance to give plenty of attention to all fur babies in my care. Especially for pups who may feel more at home in a relaxed setting (instead of the chaos of bustling day care centers or confines of a boarding kennel), my apartment can be the *calm* oasis for them whether the need care just for the daytime or for extended overnight boarding. 🥰 For cat parents 🐈⬛🐈😻: I cared for a lovely cat for 1.5 years that I dearly miss. I cannot board cats in my apartment, but I can do daily or twice daily cat visits for clients along with the duties of liter box / feeding / play time. Please reach out to me so we can arrange care! >>> I can often accept SAME-DAY-care requests after 9 AM if my calendar shows me as available. “Lyric did an incredible job caring for my cat, Maui! She was very communicative, responsive, and attentive to all my preferences. I really appreciated how she kept everything clean, including tending to Maui’s litter box, and made sure Maui got plenty of love and attention while I was away. She provided frequent updates and photos that gave me peace of mind, showing how happy and comfortable Maui was. It’s clear that Lyric genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring sitter — and I’ll definitely be relying on her services again in the future!”

“Got lucky with a great sitter on my first time with Rover, booked twice within 4-5 months and will book again! Reliable, trustworthy and our pet enjoys her drop-ins”

About: I've been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities for over 10 years. I own a small dog myself and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone responsible and attentive. I focus on creating a calm and safe environment, respecting routines, feeding schedules, and walks. I always observe the dogs' body language and act with patience and care. I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. Caring for pets fits naturally into my daily routine, as I organize my activities to be present and attentive throughout the day. I spend most of my time at home, which allows me to supervise, play with, and attend to the needs of each pet. I adapt to their feeding, walking, and rest schedules so they feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. I provide a calm, safe, and supervised environment. I always respect each pet's routines and preferences, observe their body language, and act with patience. I keep the areas clean and safe, and I take controlled walks according to the owner's instructions. If I care for the pet in their home, I follow all instructions to maintain their usual space and routine.
“Paige was great! We came to San Diego with our pups on a trip and wanted to spend extra time away from our airbnb. She gave them some company and let them out. She sent me pictures while she was there and made us feel comfortable being away from our babies longer. Thank you!!”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable dog sitter/walker with 3 years of hands-on experience as a dog owner, including caring for a nervous and timid dog. I know how to build trust, stay calm, and make dogs feel safe and comfortable. With my military experience, I bring strong responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail to every pet I care for. I only work with dogs and welcome all sizes. I also prefer a meet-and-greet before booking to understand your dog’s needs and make sure it’s the perfect fit. I’m open to discussing pricing outside of Rover due to platform fees, so we can find something fair for both sides. Looking forward to caring for your pup like my own! I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting with flexible hours (I work 8:00 AM–12:00 PM), and I’m very accommodating to different schedules your pet may need to ensure consistent and reliable care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine closely to keep them safe, comfortable, and stress-free. This includes feeding, walks, medication, and any specific care instructions. I provide calm, attentive care and respect each dog’s personality, especially those who are shy or timid. I also keep the home clean and secure while treating it with respect. I do not offer in-home boarding, as I have a timid dog of my own and prefer to keep a low-stress environment for all pets.

About: Hi, I’m Derek! I’m a huge animal lover — in fact, one of my favorite things to do while traveling is visiting zoos and aquariums, so caring for animals is truly a passion of mine. I’m comfortable with all breeds and sizes, big or small, energetic or laid-back — I love them all! I also have two French Bulldogs of my own, both with different diets, so if your dog is a picky eater or has specific feeding needs, I totally get it and will make sure they’re taken care of! You can expect plenty of photos, updates, and lots of love while you’re away. Your dog will be treated like one of my own! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine! With two French Bulldogs of my own, I’m already on a consistent schedule of walks, feeding times, and playtime every single day. Adding your pup to my routine is seamless — they’ll have structure, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I’m available on weekday mornings, so if you’re heading to work, I’m the perfect fit to make sure your dog is well taken care of! Your pet’s safety and comfort is my top priority. I’m very organized and take my responsibilities seriously — I will never bring strangers into your home, so you can always feel confident that your space and your pet are fully respected. I’m experienced with different dietary needs, personalities, and energy levels thanks to my own two Frenchies. You’ll receive regular photo updates and check-ins so you always know your pup is happy and in great hands. Trust and communication are everything to me!

About: Neighbors and family friends have always relied on me to dog sit, take their dog out and spend the night to make sure their animals were okay while they were gone. I have free availability from week and weekends from early mornings to later afternoons. I currently just graduated college so I have alot of free time. I take good care of my own dog so other dogs will be a breeze to look out for and make sure they are doing good.
About: Hi there! My name is Madelyn and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve had a dog in my home since I was a child, and I’ve always shared my space with a furry friend—whether that’s a playful pup or a cuddly cat. Animals have been my constant companions, and now that I don’t currently have one of my own, I truly miss the joy, love, and energy they bring. I don’t work Sunday, Monday, or Tuesdays. Wednesday-Saturday my fiancé works from home for afternoon care and loves walks to the park with your dog 😊 I have a balcony where your dog can be outside and it will be gated for them. I will treat your pet like my own.

About: Originally from Anchorage, Alaska I grew up outdoors and was raised around animals all my life. I am experienced, high energy, patient, capable, and incredibly loving. As a child we had both large dogs and cats; their feeding and walking was my responsibility. As a teen, I graduated to main care giver of our animals; including exercise, bathing, vet visits and training needs. Ive cared for both cats and dogs from birth, adulthood and senior ages. I’ve helped both cats and dogs give birth, and cared for groups of kittens and puppies. I’ve trained multiple dogs in potty training, socializing, leash, and command work. I am very comfortable with all sizes of animals, large and small. My companions now are a senior cat and dog. I’ve had my 14 y/o Aussy since he was a baby, and we’ve explored the world together, running, hiking and camping. We even roadtripped here from Alaska! My cat is a 16 y/o rescue that we got as an adult. She is small and mighty, and rules our house. I’ve traveled out of town to housesit for friends and family’s animals. I have regularly pet-sat 2 to 5 dogs at a time. And I enjoy a house full of love! Whether you have a high-energy pup that needs a good run and romp outside, or a sweet senior cat or dog that needs cuddle on the couch with a book, I am your lady. I’m a preschool teacher during the week and I have lots of free time in the afternoons, weekends and holidays! I’m free weekdays after 2:30 PM M-F. I also have numerous holidays, I would love to fill it with playtime with your animals! I have a pet-friendly apartment, and a easy-going Australian Shepherd to keep your pup company. We would love to spend time together cuddling on the couch, or at the dog park or beach!
“Brooke is THE best! She clearly loves cats and took such good care of my girl when I was away. I received a detailed and thorough summary of each visit and lots of pictures. I didn’t worry once while Lulu was in her care and my cat very much enjoyed her visits. She was on meds and not the best at taking them and Brooke is a pro. I would 12/10 recommend her.”

About: I have had my share of owning multiple dogs growing up. I will always show LOVE and KINDNESS to any pet that comes to my home! Pick me to be your best friends’ caretaker and they will come to love me as well like a true friend! 🚨 NOTICE🚨 I prefer being contacted within 1-2weeks of your needed dates. I cannot predict my schedule anytime more than two weeks. Some nights I may not be able to sleepover but majority of my stay will be in your home. Please let me know of any indoor cameras/recording. I’m not comfortable being recorded. Thanks. Meet and greets beforehand are up to you! I am open to whether or not we do a meet but if you’d like to move forward with a meet, I’d only ask it be scheduled as a walk or drop in visit so I can see how it’d go. I am also a fast replier and will send at least one photo per day of the activities your pup and I are doing! If you want more than one daily, just let me know! Some helpful things to bring/think about if you were to book me: -making sure pet(s) are freshly cleaned/groomed (i can also brush and detangle their fur if needed) + nails trimmed if possible -any paw wipes and extra poop bags on standby OPEN TO LONG TERM STAYS FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE IF YOU NEED A LONG DURATION OF HOUSE/ANIMAL CARE! (I’ve done two months twice for military) Your furbaby and home is my top priority and I will tend to them before ever stepping out. My schedule varies every week as well. I will always clean up after myself (wash dishes, put bedsheets either in the washer etc) before i leave your home. Communicating details about ins & out.

About: I care for every pet as if they were my own. I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel at ease while they’re away, so I focus on creating a calm, loving, and familiar environment. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, and each pet’s unique personality—whether they’re playful, shy, or just want extra cuddles. What sets me apart is the genuine love and patience I bring to every visit. Your fur baby won’t just be watched—they’ll be comforted, spoiled, and truly cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a student who does most of my work online, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be attentive throughout the day. This means plenty of time for feeding, playtime, potty breaks, walks, and lots of cuddles. I’m able to adjust my schedule around each pet’s routine, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for rather than left alone for long periods. When caring for pets in my client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, potty, medication, and playtime instructions closely, and make sure pets get plenty of attention, affection, and supervision. I respect your home, keep things tidy, and provide updates so you feel at ease while you’re away. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own familiar space.
Grant Hill pet parents share their Rover experiences
I booked Aleksandra for two drop ins. Arranging key drop off was easy. She followed directions well and made sure my auto cat feeders and fountain were working. She also gave my clingy elderly cat a cuddle! She even got an action shot of my skittish young cat, I didn’t expect her to even see him lol. Would book again.

This is the second time Brooke has looked after our babies and done such an amazing job! I can truly relax when I'm out of town knowing that she is watching after them. She sends tons of amazing pictures and gives the best updates, she just goes above and beyond!

Ivy was amazing with Sophie again. We got updates throughout or vacation and it made me feel happy and relieved that Sophie was in great hands. Sophie and Ivy’s connection is genuine and you can tell Ivy is an animal, and in our case a cat, person. Would recommend to anyone with a kitty.

The only bad part about highly recommending Ana is that her schedule might get too full 😂 now for real, Ana is a saint. My dog is very picky and an old man and somehow she just gets him. She's incredibly reliable and quick to respond. I had a two week trip planned and Ana continuously gave updates and pictures, moreso than my own sister who was actually house sitting with him! She's so caring and loving, your pup will be so happy with Ana as a new friend
