About: I’ve grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds and have been dog sitting since high school. I have one dog now and love to take her on walks, to the beach, and for puppycinos! I currently work from home M-F and am up early and stay up late! I take walks throughout the day, so might as well bring a fur friend along with! I have one cat and one dog who get along well with each other. Both of my pets are very calm and my dog loves other dogs!
“We were able to use Cara to help with our dogs medications last minute and she was phenomenal to work with ! She was on time, communicative and so sweet to our bud! Thanks Cara!”

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s had pets by my side since I was 6 years old. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and fish—each one teaching me something about playfulness, patience and the joy of good company. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and cat sitting, and I’m happy to check in on other types of pets too. Whether your furry friend needs a brisk walk, some cozy company, or reliable daily care while you’re away, I treat every animal as if they were my own—with attention, affection, and respect for their routines. Animals have always been part of my life, and I’d love to help care for yours. 🐾 I’m not currently employed full time, which allows me to offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of your pets. While I have a few blocked times when I’m unavailable, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’ll always do my best to accommodate your requests. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I provide care in your home so your pets can stay in their familiar environment, following their usual routines and minimizing stress. I’m attentive to details, respectful of your space, and committed to earning both your trust and your pet’s. You can count on reliable communication, safe handling, and genuine care every visit.
“Julia was quick to respond and super reliable. She took my puppy to her house to play with her two dogs and then dropped her back off, and visited again in the afternoon to feed her lunch and let her out. She sent many pictures and took great care. Highly recommend and have already booked Julia again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. I’m reliable and value clear communication. Happy to be your dog’s best friend. Let me know how I can help. I have my own web development business with a flexible schedule. On my free time I enjoy playing music and making ceramics. Find me at the beach or out walking around town. I have a small house in Bay Ho and currently have no pets. Happy to come to you or host your dog at my home.
“This was our first rover for our pup and they were so so quick to respond, sent pics and did a great job! Thank you so much. Will definitely use again when we are going to be away too long.”

About: I have been around dogs since I was 3 years old. I have 2 rescue dogs and have experience fostering multiple puppies at a time. I also have experience caring for other animals such as horses and genuine pigs. I walk and feed my dogs daily. They are high energy and require two walks everyday. For this reason, I have also learned how to train dogs. I have a very large yard and two other friendly dogs to keep yours company. Walks are a big part of my daily dog care routine so your dog would be sure to receive a lot of exercise. Additionally, I am very flexible with care and happy to crate your dog if needed. There are many dog parks in the area that are easily accessible as well.
“Brent and his wife are seriously amazing. They were beyond kind, sent me many pictures, brought my cats a snack and a toy, and were very descriptive on how my cats were doing. My cats loved them. Leaving pets is very hard, but I was very comfortable leaving them in Brent’s hands.”

“Lindsay was amazing! I’m a first time user of Rover and just moved to SD. I was a bit nervous for this first visit but Lindsay made sure to answer all my questions, actively communicated, and really made me feel at ease with the first home visit. She was patient with my dog who is having some mild adjustment issues to his new environment. I will definitely be reaching out to her again!”

“Morgan has been so awesome at taking care of Ace and playing with her! They got along great right from the start. Morgan responded to my request quickly and was able to work us into her schedule right away. I would recommend Morgan to anyone needing help with their dog. Very thankful for her help!”

“Victoria is the best dog sitter we have ever had! She kept us in the loop and sent us thorough reports everyday via text. Our puppy is a big fan of Victoria. We strongly recommend her and will be hiring her again in the future!!!”

About: I have grown up with animals all my life. I love seeing the joy when my dogs are on adventures. Showing dogs new places and letting them sniff all the things brings me happiness. The past few years I have adopted a few bulldog and also fostered bully breeds. I have experience with potty training, giving medications (both pill and injections), and currently have a special needs bulldog with Spina Bifida (she wears a diaper and is changed every few hours). I currently am self employed running my own business so my schedule is very flexible. I can be available almost anytime. I love taking my dogs to the beach either early morning or mid afternoon. I know how important it is to keep dogs secure. I have worked very hard with my own dogs that they have good recall when off leash. When taking my dogs out on walks I make sure to be aware of my surrounding and possible danger. I have invested in the best harnesses to make sure they are secure. In my own home we have a very secure fence to ensure their safety.
About: What sets me apart is the level of genuine care and attention I give to every pet. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort needs so they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I’m patient with young pets who are still learning routines and boundaries, and I’m equally gentle and attentive with senior pets who may need slower walks, medication support, or extra reassurance. I treat every animal like they’re my own, and I make sure pet parents feel informed through consistent updates and communication. I’m currently working part time so I can be very hands on with your pet. Take them on walks, play with them, and more. I provide dependable pet sitting and dog walking services tailored to each pet’s needs. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, administering basic medications if needed, and lots of attention and affection. I also provide photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy and safe. My home is a good size. It’s always clean. There’s lots of space for fur balls to run around. It’s a perfect spot. I care for pets by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible, whether in my home or a client’s home. I follow all feeding instructions, provide fresh water, regular potty breaks, exercise, and plenty of attention and affection. I keep the environment clean, safe, and calm to reduce stress. I also monitor behavior, appetite, and energy levels to ensure pets stay happy and healthy, and I provide regular updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away.
About: I’m a scuba instructor currently taking a break from teaching, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve! I’ve always loved animals and I believe the best care starts with paying attention to the individual and meeting them where they are. I go at your dog’s pace, if they want to stop and sniff, we stop and sniff! If they’re ready to keep moving, we keep moving. I incorporate positive-reinforcement training into our time together, reinforcing the skills and rules your dog already knows and may even help them learn something new. Every walk should be a balance between exercise and enrichment. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, sheep, pigs, goats, snakes, and birds, both my own and other people’s. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, fresh water, grooming, and medications, and I’m comfortable caring for animals with different personalities, routines, and needs. Safety is always my top priority. Dogs are kept on leash (unless otherwise agreed) and the leash stays in my hand. I give my full attention to the animal in my care and keep an eye out for anything unusual, including changes in behavior or signs that they may not be feeling well. I’ll always let you know if I notice something strange. I’ve received formal training in animal care and behavior and completed the San Diego Humane Society’s Fear Free program. I strongly believe in calm handling, patience, positive reinforcement, and clear communication to help animals feel safe and confident. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and genuinely happy to see me again! We welcomed our first child in June and I’m currently staying home with her, which gives me a very flexible schedule and lots of availability. She’ll happily come along with me on walks, so your dog gets a little baby companion too! I’m available throughout the day and can often accommodate different schedules, longer walks, and last-minute bookings. Throughout pregnancy and postpartum, walking with dogs has kept me fit and sane! I’m happy to work with your routine and find a schedule that works well for both you and your pet. I'll collect and return your dog to your home. If you are out of the house, leave me detailed instructions and I'll make sure your fur baby gets their outdoor time. If your pet needs more attention, like couch (snuggle) time or grooming, we will most likely do that in your home or wherever your pet is most comfortable.
About: Hi, My name is Shrusti, and I look forward to caring for your furry baby! We have a 8-year old pup named Maya at home. When I care for your dog, I can walk them around the neighborhood and they will have plenty of space to run around in our fenced backyard. We have lots of treats and toys for play time! My schedule is flexible, and can adjust to fit your needs. I will be home the full time with your dog. I work fully remote and go on walks 2 times a day with my pup, so you can be assured your fur baby will get lots of attention! Please share any details on your dogs daily routine so I can make their stay more comfortable. I would love to speak with owners before a stay to learn what’s best for your dog and will base my care around their routine!

Lauren was the most amazing sitter for my shy and anxious kitty Momo! Momo is antisocial when it comes to new people, but Lauren was so good with her that Momo would purr and happy roll during check ins after a few days. It was an absolute delight to have Lauren care for Momo - she really eased my worries as she was respectful, communicative, excelled at following instructions, and just the absolute best in caring for my skittish kitty!

Hazel was absolutely wonderful with Marcy. She generously made time for a thorough meet & greet beforehand and was incredibly attentive to all of Marcy’s special needs and quirks. It was clear that she listened carefully and put real thought into making Marcy feel comfortable and safe. She also went above and beyond during the visit, including bringing a bag for Marcy’s own treats and handling her dog reactivity calmly and skillfully on their walk. Her communication was exceptional - she left a very detailed, thoughtful update with plenty of photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. Marcy clearly felt comfortable with her, and I would happily book Hazel again. Highly recommend!

Patris watched our babies for a second time & we’re so lucky to have her around! She’s always on top of everything & our cats are clearly comfortable with her & love getting some snuggles while we’re out of town. Appreciate how reliable she is and flexible for when we’re traveling!

5-Star - Absolutely. Jor-el went above and beyond and left our place better than he found it. We have temperamental doggies that have some bowel issues. I had left my last few pee pads on the carpet with a few accidents on them. After five or six days of challenging walks and feedings, we arrived to find three sparkling new pee pads that Jor-el must have bought to make our return trip that much better. I'm so glad everything went well, because our doggies are rescues with issues. Thanks!!!

Julia was quick to respond and super reliable. She took my puppy to her house to play with her two dogs and then dropped her back off, and visited again in the afternoon to feed her lunch and let her out. She sent many pictures and took great care. Highly recommend and have already booked Julia again!

At nine years old, Gavin had only two pet sitters before we moved here. I am so grateful that he feels safe with Paige. Her gentle manner and calm, positive energy are perfect for him. She's so caring, thoughtful and eager to help. I love his happy-face photos that she sends and her support of what's important to me. She's a gem!

I had such a great experience! Frankie is a very nervous and independent cat, so I was worried about leaving her with someone new. She was incredibly patient, respected Frankie's space, and never tried to force interactions, which I really appreciated. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Frankie was being cared for by someone who understood her personality. Communication was great, and I came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat. I will absolutely be booking with her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable pet sitter!

Shauna is fantastic. She came twice a day to check on our kitty while we were gone for two weeks. She was on time and gave our kitty so much love and attention during her visits. Could tell our kitty really enjoyed her visits by the great photos she took :) Would definitely hire her again!
