“Again Aayushi was nothing but the best! Aayushi is always my #1 choice when it comes to picking a dog sitter! She gives me peace of mind when leaving Lola with her and I never have to worry about being away. If you have a dog with any kind of needs Aayushi is great at accommodating to them!”

“Julie was great! She came for a one-hour visit with Rex and was right on time. She left really thorough updates and sent lots of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Rex was well cared for and had a great time with her. We would absolutely book Julie again and highly recommend her!”

“Not sure how we got so lucky and found Joy! This is our second time with Joy as our sitter. Similar to before, Joy is so careful and gentle with our cat. It’s clear how much she cares about our pet and it is such a stress reliever when we are away from home. Our boy is so happy to see her. She left him some treats as well which we thought was super sweet. Would definitely recommend Joy to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“This is my first time having Sara watch my (diva) fur baby, Luna. Sara was great! She was able to step in, last minute, under non-ideal circumstances and she not only did a fantastic job (with lots of photo updates!) but Luna seemed to really like her. Luna is a nervous cat, and can sometimes be “aggressive” if she doesn’t know someone - but she was rubbing up against Sara’s leg like they’ve been best buddies for years! Will definitely keep her in the books!”

“Celine was so great with our dog Charlie! She was very communicative and friendly! Our dog loved her. We felt comfortable leaving Charlie at home knowing Celine would be checking on him for a drop in visit. We would love to use her services again!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and have always been a huge animal lover. I rescued both of my dogs while I was in college about 12 years ago. I have a 13-year-old German Shepherd mix, Shepp, who now has a variety of skin and mobility issues, so I’m very comfortable with senior dogs, giving medications, and providing a little extra patience and care when needed. I also have Luna, my 9-year-old mixed breed, who is still crazy, energetic, and keeps me on my toes! I’m very comfortable caring for and walking multiple dogs at once, so multi-pet households are no problem at all. Over the years I’ve learned plenty of tricks for giving medications, handling different personalities, and making dogs feel comfortable and safe. I’ve always loved all kinds of animals. I even had a bearded dragon, and growing up I wanted to be a zoologist. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m returning to school at San Diego Mesa College and have classes Monday through Thursday, with classes starting as early as 8 AM and ending as late as 3 PM. My schedule still gives me plenty of flexibility for dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week, especially in the early morning, afternoon, and evening, and on Fridays and weekends. I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit your pet’s normal routine. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets and your home. I always treat every pet like I would my own and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and any special instructions you have. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels, including senior dogs who may need a little extra patience or assistance. I also live in a very dog-friendly community on the ground level with an enclosed patio, which gives dogs a safe and convenient outdoor space. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and get plenty of attention.
“Ella is so sweet and my boys seem to like her already. They are sometimes difficult cats so I appreciate her willingness to accept this task of being their cat sitter/friend.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was born- mostly rescues with ranging health issues and all different ages. I also have experience living with and caring for cats. I currently have a 5 year old golden retriever and have some extra time so wanted to help with some dog care. I absolutely love all animals and will ensure your fur baby is well taken care of no matter what their needs. I work full time but am flexible after 4:30 for long walks and on weekends. I am happy to just take your pup around the block and give them some love or get a few miles in to tire them out I have a 5 year old golden who is very friendly who can join me on walks or can stay home to give your pup some one on one time. I will never bring my dog into your home

About: Hi! My name is Viviana, and I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old. Over the years, dogs have been a constant part of my life as members of my family. During college and grad school, I volunteered every weekend at animal shelters, helping with feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and walking dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also have experience fostering shelter dogs in my home, so I’m very comfortable working with dogs who may need extra patience, structure, or confidence-building. I adopted my own dog when he was about 4 months old, and he is now 12 years old and still in great shape. Having cared for a senior dog has given me a lot of hands-on experience with aging-related needs and routines. I’m confident caring for dogs who need special attention, including post-surgery support (such as assisting with potty breaks using a brace/helper sling), giving medications, and following specific care instructions. I also provide basic grooming care like brushing teeth and coat brushing if requested. One of my favorite hobbies is teaching dogs new skills! I enjoy everything from basic obedience (sit, down, stay, leash manners) to fun and advanced tricks like jumping rope, retrieving items, and even working with Augmentative and Interspecies Communication (AIC), using communication buttons to help dogs express needs and preferences. Whether your dog needs a calm companion, structured routine, playtime, training enrichment, or gentle senior care, I’ll treat them like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work fully remotely, and my husband also has a flexible schedule. We are home most of the day, so dogs are rarely left alone and can get plenty of attention, supervision, and potty breaks throughout the day. When I’m out of the house, it’s usually for dog-related activities like walks or trips to the dog park. I have a friendly senior dog who loves the dog park and does great around other dogs and children. I also have two young children (ages 4 and 7) who are in school during the day, and in the afternoons we often go to the park together with our dog. In my home, pets are cared for in a safe and comfortable environment with plenty of attention and supervision. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor potty breaks and playtime, and my friendly senior dog can provide companionship if your dog enjoys being around other dogs. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. If requested, I can also crate your dog to match your home routine or for added comfort and safety. In a client’s home, I provide the same level of care by following your instructions carefully, ensuring your pet gets potty breaks, fresh water and meals, exercise, medication if needed, and lots of affection and enrichment. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m able to provide multiple visits per day if needed. I can offer potty breaks, feeding and fresh water, walks and exercise, medication administration, post-surgery support, basic grooming (including brushing and teeth brushing upon request), and plenty of playtime and mental stimulation.
“Mari was awesome! Very reliable, communicative, and clearly cared that my cat was happy while we were away! Great photos and attention to detail — I’d definitely book her again!”

About: I have been a pet sitter for almost 15 years now. I initially relocated to California from Virginia to begin my travel nursing career back in 2019. I sadly had to leave many of my established clients back in Virginia that I loved and cared for for many years. While it was sad to part with them, I'm always looking forward to meeting and establishing new wonderful clients. Travel nursing has taken me all up and down the west coast, which has now become my permanent home. I love living in San Diego full time and the endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Taking your furry friends on walks is one of my favorite activities. I also volunteer for The Animal Pad and get to spend time caring for the amazing rescue animals that come through their doors. I’m excited to meet you and your four legged children. I work 4 days a week as a recovery room RN and my hours range from 8-10hrs. I am flexible with timing requests for most walks and am happy to provide walks before or after my shifts and, of course, on my days off. Clear communication for what your pet needs is always my best practice when it comes to caring for your animals. Whatever you need be sure to let me know and we can discuss options!

About: I have always had a dog in my life! I grew up with a chihuahua mix and now have two dogs (1 year old chiweenie and 5 year old staffy mix) at home. They are my world!! I will give your love as much as I give my babies! Thanks for trusting me with your pets! I am currently not working and taking care of a family member, my schedule is flexible! I am able to help last minute or with extended notice. I do not care for pets in my home as I have two fur babies that love their space but I will treat your pets like I do mine! With all the love in the world.

About: Hi! 😊 I'm a lifelong animal lover who's happiest when I'm spending time with pets. While reptiles and lizards are definitely my specialty (I have a bearded dragon named Beetlejuice), I grew up in a home full of cats and dogs and still help care for my family's pets whenever I can. Over the years, I've cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities—from Pit Bulls, Labrador and Retriever mixes, Chihuahuas, and Belgian Malinois to scruffy little mixed breeds—and I love getting to know what makes each pet unique. Whether your dog wants an adventure, your cat prefers quiet company, and everything in between, I'm happy to meet them where they are. Since I can't have furry pets where I currently live, I truly cherish every opportunity to spend time with cats and dogs. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, and to give you peace of mind through dependable care and regular updates. I'll treat your pets like family because that's exactly what they are. I also have experience caring for reptiles and other small or exotic pets and am happy to provide specialized care upon request! I am happy to adapt my schedule to meet the needs of your furry friends as I am able to. I most available before 10am and after 3pm on weekdays, and all day most weekends. Please give me some pet time! I know every pet has their own routine, and I'm committed to following your instructions closely to help them feel safe and comfortable. I'll keep your home secure, communicate consistently, and send plenty of updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

About: I have three big dogs at home! We got them all when they were pretty young so I have experience in basic training. My family got our first dog when I was 10 so I have spent a lot of time around puppies. I also used to pet sit for my friends dogs and cats as well :) I just graduated from college and am currently on a job hunt. I am very flexible with my availability and can do multiple walks/drop-ins a week. I am used to walking large dogs so I am able to keep a good handle on them. I also have many friends who are dog lovers as well so if they ever need some extra attention I know some people :p
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in University City is $25

Emily was wonderful! She was reliable, communicative, and very good to our two cats. She sent updates and photos everyday, which were much appreciated. She also followed instructions well - we had no issues with the cats, house, etc. while we were gone. I would definitely recommend Emily to others. Thank you for the peace of mind, Emily!

We are always looking forward to Mari visiting, especially Oli! I love that we never have to worry about how he's going to be, Mari gives the attention and affection that he so craves when we're gone. Love to see the photos and notes to hear he's doing well, and it's obvious that he's very comfortable and feeling like himself around Mari. Also appreciated very much that she handled the ant issue that we're worried about this time of the year. Thanks again Mari!!

We couldn't have asked for a better sitter for our crew—two cats and an anxious foster dog—while we were out of town for a week. Emma checked in three times a day, every day, and her visit reports were detailed and reassuring. What stood out most was how she handled our foster dog, who struggles with anxiety around new people. Instead of rushing things, she took the time to let her warm up to her at her own pace, and by the end of the week she clearly trusted her. Communication was excellent throughout, and it was such a relief to be away and never have to wonder how things were going. Highly recommend her for anyone with pets who need a little extra patience and attention, especially multi-pet or special-needs households.
Hannah did a great job taking care of my dog! She was very communicative, sent regular updates and photos, and kept me reassured while I was away. I really appreciated how attentive and responsive she was. I would definitely recommend Hannah and would happily have her watch my dog again!
Aleksandra did an amazing job checking in on our cat. She accepted a last minute booking request, came over for a meet and greet, and took great care of our cat every time she came to check on her. She was very professional and we could tell she genuinely cared about our cat’s wellbeing. She really helped put our minds at ease about being away and we felt our cat was in safe hands. Thank you Aleksandra!

Laila again did a fantastic job taking care of my cat, Cali, while I was away for the week. Cali was welcoming and content when I returned and looking forward to seeing Laila again soon. I received updates and pictures regularly and promptly. Laila is always pleasant and accommodating and I highly recommend her for pet-sitting.

Hazel was absolutely wonderful with Marcy. She generously made time for a thorough meet & greet beforehand and was incredibly attentive to all of Marcy’s special needs and quirks. It was clear that she listened carefully and put real thought into making Marcy feel comfortable and safe. She also went above and beyond during the visit, including bringing a bag for Marcy’s own treats and handling her dog reactivity calmly and skillfully on their walk. Her communication was exceptional - she left a very detailed, thoughtful update with plenty of photos, which gave me complete peace of mind. Marcy clearly felt comfortable with her, and I would happily book Hazel again. Highly recommend!

Shauna is fantastic. She came twice a day to check on our kitty while we were gone for two weeks. She was on time and gave our kitty so much love and attention during her visits. Could tell our kitty really enjoyed her visits by the great photos she took :) Would definitely hire her again!
