About: Dogs and cats have been part of my family for over 40 years. Currently we have three cats and one dog. I know how important it is to be confident that your fur baby is being well taken care of when you're out of town. I am happy to take care of your animals and do whatever you need done around the house (bring in the mail/water plants/etc.) while you are gone. I recently retired so my schedule is flexible. I look forward to having more time to spend taking care of cats and dogs. I enjoy playing with cats and I like to walk/play with dogs. I am happy to come to your house one or two times per day as needed and spend time with your fur baby. You can feel confident that your fur baby is in good hands.

About: I've taken care of everything from feral dogs and cats to the most pampered pets for over a decade now. I love animals and will take great care of yours! Most days I have mid-morning and evening obligations, so I can swing by while I’m out, or make an adventure of stopping by. There are occasionally days that I must be at work all day, but I know of those well in advance and will not take bookings that are not compatible. I try to get a feel for the animals temperament early on, and interact with them accordingly. I usually let the dog lead what we are doing unless I know that they either need hyping up to get their energy out or someone to look out for their limits. When doing in-home visits, I try to be as unintrusive as possible while giving the animal the care and play it needs.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 7 years old—not only my own, but also those of family members, friends, and coworkers. Before moving away for college, I had both a Yorkie and a Pit Bull—two breeds that couldn’t be more different. I’m currently working part time, 8-12 hours a week and my schedule is very flexible. I’m both an early bird and night owl and fit an early walk and night walk every day. Additionally, especially because it’s summer I have nothing in between work and if I did I’m always willing to fit any plans accordingly to your pets needs. I believe that caring for someone’s home is just as important as caring for their pet. I always treat my clients’ homes the way I would hope someone would treat mine—with respect, honesty, and care. I understand that pets can have accidents, especially when they’re adjusting to a new person or their family is away. If that happens, I have no problem cleaning up after them and making sure everything is left clean and comfortable. If I’m staying in your home, I’ll be respectful of your space and your routines. I’ll communicate with you beforehand to understand your preferences—whether that’s wearing shoes inside, using certain areas of the home, preparing meals, or anything else that’s important to you. I’ll always clean up after myself and leave your home in the same condition I found it, if not better. During college and grad school, I volunteered every weekend at animal shelters, helping with feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and walking dogs of all sizes and personalities. I adopted my own dog when he was about 4 months old, and he is now 12 years old and still in great shape. I’m confident caring for dogs who need special attention, including post-surgery support (such as assisting with potty breaks using a brace/helper sling), giving medications, and following specific care instructions. I have a friendly senior dog who loves the dog park and does great around other dogs and children. I also have two young children (ages 4 and 7) who are in school during the day, and in the afternoons we often go to the park together with our dog. In my home, pets are cared for in a safe and comfortable environment with plenty of attention and supervision. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor potty breaks and playtime, and my friendly senior dog can provide companionship if your dog enjoys being around other dogs. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m able to provide multiple visits per day if needed. I can offer potty breaks, feeding and fresh water, walks and exercise, medication administration, post-surgery support, basic grooming (including brushing and teeth brushing upon request), and plenty of playtime and mental stimulation.

About: I've grown up with, raised and taken care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments and ages (from puppies to senior dogs). Some with disabilities, health issues and even certain behavioral issues. In the past three years I have had my own cats, two of which I raised since they were only a few months old. I've also worked as a professional dog bather! I'm extremely patient and understand every animal has their own personalities and boundaries. I have morning classes Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. After that and all other days of the week I am fully available. When caring for an animal, I always prioritize their needs. Going to check on them after school, walking them, feeding them and in general keeping their schedule consistent. After taking care of them and ensuring their needs have been met do I then go home, run errands, etc. I always plan my day around the routine of the animal I am caring for, to ensure no meal, medication or walk is missed. (I do the same with my own cat!) When I care for other's animals in their home, I give the pet time to acclimate to me presence. I understand that I am entering their space and that might cause them to be extra hesitant. I watch their reaction to my presence, slowly introducing contact or proximity depending on their body language and comfortability. I always abide by the routine and house rules the pet owner lays out, as well as using common sense to not disrespect a home that is not mine. And over all, I adjust to the boundaries of the animal and know that no two will behave or react to things in the same way.
