About: Hi, I’m Mary, a lifelong animal lover with over a decade of experience caring for all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and horses. I joined Rover because caring for pets brings me so much joy. I work a corporate job remotely which allows me a great deal of flexibility to care for your pets during my breaks. I can’t currently own a pet of my own due to my apartment’s regulations, so I can’t wait to give your pet all the love and care they deserve instead! My remote job allows for lots of flexibility to care for your pets. I am available for drop ins or walks sometime between 11am-2pm most days- perfect for owners who want to give their pets a break in the middle of the day! I am a direct communicator and will be happy to provide an abundance of updates as I care for your pet. I am also happy to provide playtime or assist with household chores as I care for your pets.
About: Experience with dog care specifically has occurred throughout my entire life from raising my own puppy now to showing dogs as a child. I lived on a ranch ranging in care of small and large animals from quail, rabbits to horses and cows. I have worked with dogs that range in behavior and level of care. Currently, my schedule would have no impact by taking on the care of pets! Luckily for me I am able to commit a great amount of time to both sitting and walking pets during this time. I will be able to care for pets in clients home with care, responsibility and overall caution of your space and your pets space. I am able to follow instructions accurately and will provide updates, pictures and videos of your pets stay away.

About: I’m excited to meet and care for your dogs - open to walks, house visits and more. My first friend in the playpen was our family dog. I’ve since had four of my own and miss them - angels on earth. I’d be honored to shower your fur babies with love. Very flexible schedule. Retired and volunteer for Hospice part time. I’m open to all days of the week with some advance notice and can be spontaneous too. Very responsible and careful to protect your fur babies like they were my own. I am extremely careful with doors, locks, crates, gates, etc…I have lots of experience with needy dogs. :)
“Our senior dog enjoyed his walk with Victor! Victor took great care of him and even pointed out some stool issues that we need to monitor. Thank you Victor!!”
About: I treat every dog like my own—patient, loving, and attentive to their unique needs. I have 10 years of experience and work with animals full time. I recently moved here and am fully focused on pet care. With no other job, your pet will have my full attention, time, and energy. I follow each pet’s routine closely, keeping their environment calm, clean, and familiar. I make sure they feel safe, fed, exercised, and, most importantly, loved.
“Roxy, is an awesome Walker for our Labrador. She is punctual and has even made herself available on short notice. We will definitely keep using her whenever we need a walker”

About: I’ve had the joy of caring for both cats and dogs since childhood, as a dedicated animal lover, which has given me years of hands-on experience in understanding their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies and kittens to senior pets, I’ve learned to provide the right balance of care, attention, and love. As an animal lover, I’m familiar with feeding schedules, grooming, administering medicine, and ensuring pets stay healthy and happy. My experience has taught me how to read animal behavior, making sure they feel safe and comfortable, whether at home or on walks. I currently work a part-time job, which allows me to have a flexible schedule. This flexibility enables me to accommodate various pet care needs and ensure that your furry friends receive the attention and care they deserve, whether it’s for daily walks, feeding, or playtime. I care for pets by providing a safe and comfortable environment, whether in my home or the client’s. At my place, I create cozy spaces for relaxation and engage them in playtime. In the client’s home, I follow their routine, ensure proper feeding and medication, and offer companionship and exercise. My goal is to make sure pets feel loved and secure, no matter where they are.
“Brandon did an excellent job taking care of Rusty during the holidays. He got lots of walks and attention. Given it was our first time using Rover, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But Brandon handled everything very professionally, and I will now look to use Rover again in the future”

About: As a proud dog mom, I understand that pets aren’t just animals — they’re family. Caring for my own dog has taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of routine, exercise, and lots of love. From daily walks and playtime to recognizing subtle changes in behavior, I’m attentive to every detail that keeps a pup happy and healthy. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, and I treat every pet as if they were my own — with safety, affection, and reliable care at the forefront. I’m currently in the military so my schedule is very unpredictable. There are times when I have significant time off allowing much flexibility or there are times when my availability will become much limited. That said, I’m big on communication and keeping my calendar updated. I only take bookings when I know I can fully show up and give your pet the time, attention, and care they deserve. If I commit to you, you can count on me! When I’m caring for a pet in their home, safety is always my top priority! I make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure before and after walks, and I’m careful to prevent any escape risks. I follow all instructions exactly as given — feeding routines, medication schedules, crate use, and house rules — to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free. I’m mindful of potential hazards like foods left out, small objects on the floor, or anything that could be chewed or swallowed. During walks, I use secure leashing practices and stay alert to surroundings, other animals, and traffic. I also provide regular updates so you feel confident and informed while you’re away. Your home will be respected, and your pet will be cared for like family. ((:

I work from home and a make my own hours since I am self-employed, so I realistically can come whenever you need! Every hour or 2, or once a day, whatever you need I more than likely can do. My cat is my absolute world and I have lived in busy areas and wooded areas, so I am naturally a very attentive pet mom and will be with your fur babies as well. My house is always extremely clean and I would spend every last penny to make sure Claire (my tabby cat) has the best, most comfortable life possible.
About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 15 years, starting at just 10 years old, and animal care has been a natural part of my daily life ever since. I’m someone pet owners already rely on — I walk my neighbors’ dogs regularly because walking is part of my everyday routine, making me a dependable choice when they’re at work, running errands, or juggling busy schedules. Beyond walks, I also provide feeding, check-ins, and companionship for friends’ pets whenever they’re unavailable. This includes cats as well! I care for every animal as if they’re my own, as I am driven by a genuine love for animals. I’m patient, attentive, and deeply committed to making sure each pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable — whether that means sticking to routines, offering extra affection, or simply being a calm and trusted presence while you’re away. Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine. My job allows me to create my own schedule, which means I can easily work around specific times your pet may need care. I already go on daily walks, so dog walking is a natural part of my day, and I’m able to be consistent, attentive, and flexible throughout the week. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable. I always follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, routines, and any special care needs. I make sure pets feel safe, calm, and well cared for during each visit, and I always leave the home clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.
“Summer was fantastic! Communicated with us well and understood all of Zeus’ needs in order to walk him. She followed all of our instructions down to a T and took excellent care of Zeus. Highly recommend using her!”

About: I’ve owned big dogs and small dogs and even cats most of my life! As a hobby I once trained my own dogs for AKC obedience events and now that I’m retired, I enjoy time well spent with our small Papillon dog, Daphne. I love pampering small pets but I’m also happy to check in on any well behaved pet for walks or potty breaks. With ample time to plan ahead, I can do most any schedule, as time allows. I’m looking to work with a few select clients, and specifically in the area of Bird Rock or La Jolla. My routine is flexible with proper and adequate planning ahead. I am at home a lot, working on projects that allow me to leave and come back to through out the week. I treat pets as one of the family. I communicate and acknowledge them upon entering their space (home). I am affectionate, loving and reassuring during my time with them. When leaving their space (home), I communicate directly that “I’m leaving now” and assure them with a physical touch (pet them) before walking out the door.

La Jolla dog parents share their Rover experiences
We’ve had a great experience with Victor as our dog walker. He has been consistently reliable and incredibly accommodating, even when we’ve needed last-minute schedule changes. Our dog also loves that he often brings his dog, Bimbo, along for the walks. It’s so helpful for our dog’s socialization. Highly recommend!

Caroline goes above and beyond with Daisy! She has certainly made sure to get some energy out while we are at work and can’t be there. Daisy is always happy and healthy when we return. Caroline keeps us up to date and we love the photo updates. Thanks again for the walks! :)

Klaudia has been the most amazing dog walker! She is timely, flexible, and so great with our pups! With two big energetic pups it can be a lot but she handles it all with no problem! (Even when one of them would have an a surprise accident she would clean it and go above and beyond for us). Every walk bayou and Winnie seemed so happy and I knew they were safe and taken care of! We are so sad to be moving, but we would recommend klaudia to everyone and anyone!

As travel nurses who move cities a lot, we’re sad we can’t use Tina’s services everywhere we go! She’s such a great dog sitter/walker — truly loves our pup like her own. Snag her services before she’s so booked up you miss out on the opportunity to let your dog be loved by her!

Spencer saved the day! On very last-minute notice, she got back to me right away. She sent wonderful pictures so I could see how my pup was doing on the walk, they had a great time and he came back ready for his nap! So grateful to her for the help. Highly recommend her!!

It was our first time on Rover and Luciana was so kind enough to meet with our pup a couple of days before. We were worried about our pup having separation anxiety because we were going back to the office 4 days a week now.Shadow enjoyed the visits and was very glad to see her for his walks. Luciana made us feel comfortable and communicated well and promptly. We will definitely be booking Luciana for as long as she is available 🙂

Elizabeth was amazing! We had her walk our Belgian Malinois for the week of Christmas. We picked her because having large dogs herself we knew she would be comfortable with our Jax. She is definitely a dog lover and Jax loved his walk/run with her every morning. She is very sweet and easy to work with. Loved seeing her smiling face every day. Thank you Elizabeth!
