“Aleksandra did an amazing job with Louie. He’s an old man, and has many special needs. She did an amazing job of making me feel at peace knowing he is well cared for in her watch. I also got lots of pics while I was away, and updates throughout her stay. You can tell she really cares about what she does.”

“Sarah is such a sweetheart! My kitty Sasha is usually very nervous without me, but she took to Sarah so fast. They were playing together on day 2! I appreciate Sarah’s thoughtful care and am grateful to have solid pet care in San Diego.”

“Once again, it was a pleasure having Izayah come watch our baby boy, Zuma. Zuma was really excited to see Izayah and we got good pics and updates throughout the time he was with him. Thanks for taking care of our sweet boy!”

“Andrea did a wonderful job with our 2 dogs! She stayed at our house for 8 days over Christmastime while we went home to see family. We got plenty of pictures and she took them for a walk and/or played fetch with them everyday. My Aussie usually pukes when we leave out of nervousness, but didn’t this time! The dogs are also on edge when we get home, but not the case this time either. Thanks, Andrea!”
“I had such a wonderful experience with Julia! She took amazing care of my dog and a last minute second dog. She also took great care of my home. She sent regular updates, photos, and thoughtful check-ins. My Dilly was when I got home. I would absolutely book Julia again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and attentive sitter!”

“Jarrod was able to help us out with very little notice and was great with our boys! He went above and beyond, taking them on multiple little walks and getting a few photos for us. Would recommend to anyone!”

About: I’ve lived with pets all my life (canine, rodent, reptile, rabbit) and have been an animal shelter volunteer for ~15 years in various US cities. I can’t yet afford a dog of my own but would love to spend time staying with with yours! I have experience and comfort with all dog breeds, sizes, conditions (I have fostered or sat for everyone from dog-reactive bully breeds and bottle-baby puppies or high-energy herding breeds to special-needs seniors and blind sighthounds.) As you can see from my photos, I love a couch cuddle and don’t mind a face lick! I work remotely so can be available and mobile any day of the week and because I have no pets of my own I’m able to stay as long as you need. My roommate has a reactive dog so I won’t be able to have your pet at my place, but I’m happy to stay at your/your pet’s home instead. Comfortable with fitting most harnesses and safely crating as needed. I’m patient with dogs if they’re nervous or shy and don’t mind giving them time and encouragement to open up. I have experience with muzzling for walks and passing other dogs on the sidewalk while walking a reactive one myself.
About: Ever since I had cats growing up to now having my own dog, I love all animals! They deserve to be treated with the best care so I can ensure I will do anything to make them feel happy and comfortable with me. I’m currently not working so my availability is very open so I can give your animal all the care and attention they need :) Let me know when and what you need. I can ensure I will leave your home exactly how I found it or better! I pay attention to detail to make sure everything in your home is respected as if it were my own.
“We asked Paige to watch our pets, Zoe the cat, Goose the Golden Retriever (3yrs old) and Willow the Goldendoodle (2 yr old). Paige survived and the animals were cared for. Willow does like socks so consequently Paige lost a sock. Paige had to walk each dog separately as Goose is really strong and is very playful during walks making it more challenging while walking the other dog. Zoe the 12 yr old cat, is typically not fond of strangers and will almost never be seen. Well day one Zoe was out and greeted Paige. I told Paige she must be a cat whisperer. Anyways, Paige was keeping us updated and had everything under control as well making sure the animals were fed and lived which is all we really care about. Recommend and we will be happy to have Paige watch our pets in the future.”

“Diana is the best! She has watched our dogs for us multiple times and is always so responsive. She sends lots of updates and photos, which we love, and is very thoughtful and caring towards our dogs. Thanks so much for always making sure our pups get the best care while we’re away!”

“I have such a shy/skiddish dog who takes forever with new people. Andrea was so great! She house / dog sat while I away and kept me updated with photos and videos. I felt at ease immediately (I worry a lot so big compliment). I highly recommend Andrea to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pup.”

About: I've worked with all sorts of pets from cats and dogs to puppies and seniors. I've worked closely with police/military K9s, service dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and mice, turtles, and birds. I'm currently working part time taking care of service dogs but my schedule is open for dog walking, check ins, pet visits, and house sitting whenever needed. I can confidently handle any pet with patience and compassion. I've also got plenty of experience with all sorts of equipment and gear, and I can care for most exotic pets.
“Roni was fabulous. She was great with my two cats. She sent lots of pics which helped me worry less. I could see she liked playing with them and was very loving. I highly recommend”

“This was the best sitting experience I could have asked for. Kristin is our primary and regular sitter, we do daily drop ins for Harley during the week and Harley adores her time with Kristin. It was a no brainer to ask her to in-house sit for Harley while I’m away for work. Kristin provides updates on Harley’s day with the best photos (seriously a dog photographer). She kept to Harley’s busy schedule, and even the neighbors have raved about how amazing Kristin is with Harley when they see her. All around amazing experience and I would absolutely do it all over again. I felt so comfortable and I know my puppy girl is in GREAT hands. Kristin leads with care and it shows in the way my puppy feels so happy and comfortable with her.”

“Brittany was absolutely amazing! I felt completely comfortable leaving my fur babies in her care. The pictures and regular updates gave me so much peace of mind and reassured me they were doing great without me. This was my first time leaving them for four days (longest time before this was 6 hours), and thanks to Brittany, I now have a trusted sitter I can rely on for future trips. I’m so grateful!”

“See my other review for Griselda - she's amazing! Highly recommend you trust her with your 4-legged family members. She also took lots of photos and video which put my mind at ease because I could see they were being very well cared for. She's the best!”

Core pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was my second time having Allison over to stay the weekend with Toby. We both love her! She’s so easy to coordinate with, responds to messages quickly, and send me really cute picture updates while I’m away. She’s very respectful of my home and takes great care of it while caring for Toby. Thanks so much, Allison!

Kristen is amazing! Extremely reliable, attentive, professional. She was always on time, was diligent about following my puppy’s routine even though I offered her flexibility in it she really stuck to it. She was great at sending lots of pictures and updates throughout the weekend, left my place in perfect shape, and really bonded with my puppy. I can’t say enough good things about her!

Phoebe fell in love with Brittany the moment she met her. Phoebe gave Brittany a run for her money for sure. But Brittany was amazing. She sent a bunch of pics and updates of Phoebs happily snuggled against her. Im thrill to have Brittany involved in Phoebes life

Lyn was amazing 👏 so flexible and sent constant updates. It was the first time I'd done a home-sitting, I was slightly apprehensive to have a stranger in our home, but felt very at ease with Lindsay. I was able to enjoy my time away without the stress and worry. 10/10 would recommend and use again. Shaka had the best time.

Sylvia did a great job with our 3 dogs. 2 of the dogs are super reactive and fearful of strangers but they warmed up to Sylvia very quickly. My 16 year old senior dog with eating issues ate very well and enjoyed his daily walks.. She sent us daily pictures and videos of the dogs that reassured us that the dogs were happy and well looked after. I would definitely have her take care of our dogs again!

The best of the best. Aleksandra took the best care of my dog and met all of his high maintenance needs and then some. She kept me updated and sent pictures and did more than she was asked. I was nervous leaving my dog for the first time and it was such a great and calming experience for both of us.
Briana did a wonderful job with dog sitting at my home. I came home to an incredibly happy dog, so much so that i think she will miss Briana’s visits. She went above and beyond to track activity, send photos/videos and ensure me everything was going well. Hunny Girl was very spoiled with tons of play time, walks and a little relaxing while enjoying each other’s company! I look forward to taking vacation time now as I know I can trust Briana with my beloved doggy.

Monica did an amazing job watching my dog. She was very responsive, open to meeting us in advance and arrived early to do a key exchange and go over the care instructions in detail. She kept me informed on the well being of my dog and left my place identical as when I left it. I have great appreciation for the care she provided and I have every intention to use her again as needed. It is obvious she loves pets (my dog especially) and takes her responsibilities seriously.
