About: I've worked at doggy daycares in the past, I've taken care of multiple friends' pets before, and I had the absolute pleasure of raising my own dog from a puppy until her death at the age of 13. I work a full-time 8-5 job, but I love taking care of pets after work, during my breaks, or on the weekends. On weekends and after work, I will stay for as long as you wish me to. I always make sure to ask what the pets favorite toys are, their feeding schedule, any medications they need, and if they have a walking schedule. I make sure to take them out to use the bathroom as frequently as possible, and make sure that they have plenty of water.

About: Hello, San Diego! After 7 years of dedicated pet sitting in Los Angeles and a short break to complete graduate school, I’m officially back to doing what I love. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets of all life stages and needs—from lively 1.5-year-old dogs to sweet 17-year-old seniors, as well as pets managing health conditions like diabetes and blindness. I'm no stranger to a full house either; my personal record is 4 dogs and 5 cats all cozying up in the same bed! Pet care would occur around my teaching schedule (primarily weekdays between 7:30am-3:30pm). However once I am in pet-sitting mode, my full attention is on the fur babies! I stay organized by using personalized checklists to follow their routine to a T, and I always keep open, proactive communication with owners for any questions or updates.

“Josette has been wonderful with our two dogs! We have an anxious girl who is typically nervous around new people but she took to Josette right away and is now very excited when she comes because she knows she is going to go on an adventure with her and have a blast. Josette is also great with our senior guy, and she’s able to tire them both out even though they have different exercise needs. Josette also totally spoiled them with plenty of treats (pre-approved by us) and by switching up the activities she took them on so every day was new and exciting. She also sent plenty of update photos, which we appreciate. We’re very pleased with how quickly our dogs became comfortable with her and we fully trust her with our fur babies. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 12 years old, and I grew up with 3 dogs in my house. I also worked at the San Francisco SPCA for two years when I lived there, and I’m on the Young Professionals Board of the Rancho Coastal Humane Society here in San Diego. I work remotely on a computer, and it’s likely I would plan to work from your home and spend quality time with your dog all day. I love having a furry friend around and I keep pretty active, so walking or even jogging or playing fetch with a high energy breed is no trouble. I love caring for dogs in their home environment where they are most comfortable, and saving them the stress of an unfamiliar environment while their family is out of town.

I have a big yard for playtime and will make sure your pet feels like they are hanging with their auntie. I work from home so someone will be with them all day.
